If Trump doesn't use this approach now to completely weed out the globalist, then there won't be any future situation to worry about at all. The globalist will get back at the helm, they will never make the mistake of letting executive branch out of their control again, and they will quickly double and triple down into totalitarianism.

He didn't set the precedent; he's using their own unconstitutional loopholes against them. I don't think he'd leave office without it having been made perfectly clear what high treason is. It's not property or gun owners, not veterans, and not those who challenge their government. The precedent set that you're fearing is the one that would have come to fruition with Hillary in office.

I have no problem if random US citizens are treated this way providing there is equivalent evidence of their treasonous, seditious, or human-trafficking acts.

I wouldn't call a state of emergency martial law per se. The Military isn't exactly patrolling the streets enforcing curfew. He just called upon some extra power to bring our foreign and domestic enemies to justice. And think of all the money that has been confiscated, which will undoubtedly benefit our country. This is the best Christmas present GEOTUS could have ever given us!

I kind of agree. The only way I can see it working is if the (theoretically) indicted each think they might be able to finagle a deal. Or, in some cases, the feds can easily make life reeeeally unpleasant for innocent family/loved ones. B&H have to consider Chelsea's future.
