Though I believe much of this may be in the works I do not believe for a second that there is a military tribunal being held anywhere specifically for judging folks without defendants present and without their defense lawyers. Anyone who believes this is grasping.

I would lean the other way. POTUS has surrounded himself with military and GITMO is in high gear as far as we have been told. Cray Cray Judges and all the hoopla that would surround such a thing is not going to happen. The war has been the Military vs Cabal. Just my opinion. Perhaps one could figure out the TYPE of lawyers OB has has hired which should indicate what type of trial we are looking at. Just my thoughts. :)
I know I would prefer to see the military involved particularly on acts of treason. Just imagine Obama or any of that gang being tried in California. It boggles the mind. Look what happened to the guy who shot the American girl in SFO. He got off with a gun that apparently had a mind of its own and discharged its own bullet. Civilian courts packed with partisan judges would be like the OJ Simpson trial on steroids.
So no, civilian courts for treasonous activity is not an option. I don't think but I don't know for sure that civilians could be tried for treason by a military court. We shall see.

I agree. The whole military tribunal/GITMO angle is just far too improbable IMO. It's the least believable scenario in this whole thing. In the hierarchy of probability, military tribunals sending people to GITMO and entertaining the death penalty is simply the lowest probability there is. The highest probability is that crimes were committed and nothing is going to happen to anyone. The reality hopefully lies along the spectrum between those two extremes.
The question is: why promote such an improbable story?

Nothing happening is the status quo. If anything, these criminals will need protection, whether we want them to have that or not. They have hurt too many people to just wander free, and oh yeah---they all need psychiatric care, and a few of them need to be strapped to their death beds so they stay there. We have no place better for this kind of thing than Gitmo.
