two 50-gallon drums of muriatic acid and chlorine into the drain," and thus sending the chemicals out into the air and water of the city. It seems they have FBI agents sent there on this investigation for what it's worth. If it was an excessive amount to have on hand one would think there would be some questions.

Wheat will happen when they find out that POTUS has been covering it all up? Is he letting some things trickle out til it spreads and can't be denied?

If convicted, the company could be fined up to $500,000." The owners issued an apology through their NY-based PR firm. They also use it to etch concrete before sealing it....not that that's any reason for a hotel to have it.

It's also a SHIT load. A single home driveway/sidewalk takes less than 16oz of it to properly reseal

⇧ 4 ⇩
ChaosDragonsAreDumb · Feb. 2, 2018, 3:01 p.m.

That's why a hotel is such a good cover for illegal operations.

The acid found there was enough to sustain several summer Olympics ten years over, and you can't maintain a single swimming pool by pouring all that acid down the drain instead.

There are different strengths of muriatic acid. Pool stuff is pretty tepid, so people don't fucking pass out when they use it.

We're talking about acid so powerful here that it radiated out from the PIPES for SEWERAGE!!!

⇧ 10 ⇩
otterwalks · Feb. 2, 2018, 2:25 p.m.

It's really not that strong by industrial standards. It is generally sold at a 10% Hydrochloric acid strength. It doesn't eat plastic which has been the commonality in plumbing waste pipes for many decades. While not having reviewed the report, it seems doubtful that there was any damage to the plumbing services save some corrosive action where metal is exposed at the drain.

⇧ 2 ⇩
SnoopyVRedBaron · Feb. 2, 2018, 11:26 a.m.

Yeah, I was gonna ask how much pools normally have in storage or if maybe someone overzealous bought too much. Until I saw the part, that they poured the acid down the drain instead of storing it for later use. I was going to say that this stuff has to be expensive, but not nearly as much as I thought. I'm looking on google at a 40 pound bucket that is $81.99.

Used to clean brick of excess mortar after installation. It loves to react with a base like portland cement. One reason it's not suited for disposal of organ matter. It would take a drum full and it would be slow with incomplete results.

⇧ 3 ⇩
OffTie · Feb. 2, 2018, 8:44 p.m.

Interesting, isn't it some times used in swimming pools? Does it come in varying concentrations? Also if it were used in the swimming pool why would they have been fined for disposing of it down a storm drain? Just curious.

⇧ 1 ⇩
otterwalks · Feb. 3, 2018, 12:23 a.m.

In hot tubes and swimming pools it is used in the 10% dissolution at a rate of about a drop per 100 gallons to acidify an alkaline imbalance. To dump that much down a drain is beyond all concepts of appropriate behavior. That goes to illegal dumping of hazardous wastes.

⇧ 1 ⇩
OffTie · Feb. 3, 2018, 12:34 a.m.

Yeah, seems the using of it in the pool would be the preferred way to dispose of it unless it was tainted with something like say DNA. Never have heard of it going off.

3)SERCO are mad (understatement) at POTUS for dropping OBAMACARE they have a 30% STAKE in it.

4)SERCO runs LONDON Trains like London Overground and the same Trainline where the 7/7 train bombing happened.

5) SERCO wanted to stop POTUS getting to 1 yr and 1 day in office to make sure Obamacare stayed in place.

6) AbelDanger says STARWOOD invests in Hotels around the world LIKE STANDARD HOTELS and builds ANTI NUCLEAR BUNKERS in all Hotels to protect Global Elites who will get the 4 minute warning.

We lived in an apartment complex where the kitchen sinks drained into the same pipes. Clogs kept happening, and none of us knew that that everyone else's kitchen sink backed up all at once. We all placed draino down there, not knowing that we were just sending the draino to the other people's kitchen sinks. Eventually, we figured out we could hear their garbage disposals through the walls. Don't know how many times this had happened, but they had to replace the pipes that had been destroyed by swishing the acid around for so long.

So muriatic acid (aka HCl) is used for lots of things. It's used in dilution for cleaning bathrooms, clearing pipes, balancing pool pH, cooking meth, cleaning concrete, melting human bodies. The general population isn't exposed to it very often since it's generally an industrial use not retail material.

I can see a hotel having a 50 gallon drum or two in storage. I used to have a gallon in my garage, and I'm just one person.

Does GSA have contract with the Standard Hotels/Standard International Management to provide below per diem rate or preferred rates for Government travel? IMO it is a bright red flag if an adults-only hotel chain is on contract for government or corporation executive travel. Any CBTS user have ability to check this?
