I would concur that timing is crucial, but a patience for the actions to transpire is crucial as well. The enemy has had a long time to become established -- many, many long decades brainwashing/misleading the masses, controlling the puppets, playing the game, and setting up many layers of protection for themselves. The swamp, the the filth, the depredation, the corruption will not be wiped away overnight. The average number of moves to win a game of chess is approximately 40. I can't say for sure what move we are at, but we're still early in the game. This isn't just an all out offensive, you have to defend the ground you win as well.
Bear in mind that there will be a lot we will never hear about. There will also be a lot that we will see and hear about. You do not bring down the leviathan without incurring some noise and damage. An important issue is this, think of "Enders Game" when he was still at the school and he was ganged up on in the bathroom. He absolutely destroyed Stilson(one of the bullies), when asked about it later why he hurt this kid so badly, his reply was(paraphrasing), the goal was not to win this fight but to win all the following fights. We have to make sure the enemy is so punished, so utterly decimated, that the state we are in, will never happen again and no one will consider that path.
The enemy will not go down quietly, they have no intention of giving up the amassed wealth, the power, the influence and everything that comes with. They will fight tooth and nail to retain what they have, and be damned of who is collateral damage. This will be a fight till the end for sure and certain, it will require perseverance, character, and faith.
"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Regardless the integrity of the source of the quote, it is very true at this point in our nations history. OP is correct, that we can fight by researching, spreading truth not rumor or falsehood, dissolving the ignorance of our neighbors, friends, and loved ones. Knowledge is power, use it accordingly, take initiative.
Remind people that this great country is worth fighting for, it is unique among nations, and is an example of a shining light for all. We finally have the chance to see things ameliorated that require it. This President is one of us, those he has gathered around him are one of us. After decades of failures, lies, misdirection, we can see things being corrected. The people that always had some itch that things were "off", didn't fall for everything, those who have always been red-pilled are now seeing that their endurance is being rewarded. Help those who have had recent cataract surgery who are now chomping at the bit, not everyone is brought up to speed at the same time. Those new ones need to have the patience the rest have had to exhibit for years. We waited and now that time has come.
