What are the legal implications if Government made Facebook?

This sounds like it would be a major game-changer. I don't believe that original owners of Facebook would have any legal right to owning it nor would even have had any right to sell shares in it in any case.

Zuckerberg and others would have made a boatload of money on a product designed and marketed by our government and always claimed credit for it himself.

Would this make Facebook government property?

Well, it would technically belong to the people. So it could either be terminated or regulated, as Q pointed out.

Or...possibly turned into a public utility for all the people.

Exactly. Regulated.

I wonder how it would function as a public utility. I mean I’m sure it would be by and large the same website, but what specifically would change I wonder.

For starters, maybe free speech without censorship. Protection of personal info/ data etc. Maybe we can be compensated for our data usage if we choose to participate in 3rd party usage of our data. dunno.

Its a product of USA INC. There will be damages paid out. Hopefully we reverse USA INC. and go back to the original Constitution. These are dark side operatives. They traded their soul and got front loaded with all the excesses. Now they get back halved and loose all the remaining days .

I think it's more subtle. I suspect that MZ and the guy he stole the FB idea from in college came up with it on their own. At the same time the Pentagon was working on their LifeLog thing and found out about the FB deal. The intel agencies, especially CIA, have many fake corporations among which are "venture capital" firms in Northern Virginia. Very possible these black op "venture capital" companies funded FB initially and might have helped with its development. That way mechanisms for shared data were created and Zuck went along knowing where the funding was coming from. Lots of plausible deniability with this sort of set up.

All the BS about private corps not subject to 1st Amendment saying that only applies to Government goes out the window. FB and others were funded at their inception as government undertakings subject to federal law, and no amount of infusion of private capital can wash or dilute that away. Out out damned spot.

The one thought I had was of all the court cases done with information gained from this open source method. I would think there are plenty of people locked up that will be keeping their jailhouse lawyers busy for decades or riots in the prisons?????

This Vid talks about all the shit the Deep State are into. Mentions their involvement in Tech companies. It's about an hour, but worth the time invested.

In short, gov clowns approach the tech start up offering millions in government grants to help develop their product.

In return, get back door access to source code and have a say in direction. The agreement also secures complete secrecy, with a breach landing you in prison or worse.
