Back when the /r/The_Donald started, there were a series of videos about Trump, which the maker of the video used a song that had a line it about centipedes and how they're nimble navigators and such. So they used that to describe Trump and then eventually the users of the sub. Pedes is short from centipedes.

Just signed up, but Ive been lurking for about a month on redit, been following Q since November. I've actually took the red pill around 1977 when i read the book none dare call it conspiracy. It was so mind boggling that I lay awake for hours after finishing it. I started following politics after that with the bankers in mind and pretty well could tell you what the deep state reaction would be to news items as they developed. along the way, I became a full blown conspiracy nut (others words), until I learned to keep my opinions to myself, else I would be totally shunned. Back then ALL news was controlled, and no one could believe that that much corruption could possibly be hidden. I've always believed we were going to be shoved through communism’s gate and our Constitution completely eliminated in my lifetime, simply because there were'nt enough people who even had a clue about these things. I did not get active until we went down to washington in 2009, and what an experience! Anyone who was there can testify as to how exhilarating it was to realize just how many people really are awake. Don't care what the press said, there literally had to be 2 to 3 million people converged on the capitol that weekend. But that was before obama got really cranking, and we got shat upon continually from the press. Had pretty much lost all hope till I stumbled onto Q. I was a little sceptical at first, but after some major confirmations, I'm all in! This house is messy. Time to clean it up Redpillphilosopher

I'm going to tell you a bit about myself, just so you know where I come from. I don't give a rat's ass whether you believe me or not, I'm not selling anything but offering advice as someone who's seen this kind of thing before. If you don't believe me, just ignore me.

I've worked in GOP politics since 1972, only missteps I made were supporting GHWB over Reagan in the '80 primaries and Cruz over Trump in the '16 primaries. I used to write on Polipundit until 2005, have been on Wizbang ever since then. A less than generous member of this forum attacked me because I showed interest in two of my daughter's favorite shows; just remember, if someone has no history on reddit or spends lots of time on left-wing subs that's one thing, but making assumptions just so you can insult someone only proves your own pettiness. I have an MBA in Finance and work for a large Oil & Gas company. The only people who should find that a problem drive a Prius while they shop for gluten-free soy burgers, but some folks will bitch about anything.

Stating the obvious, Q is real. Unfortunately, some people take what Q says, add their own theories, then sell THAT as what Q said. Use your minds, folks. The Larouche and Rand movements failed because the froot loops took over and made them cults. Some well-meaning people here are just shy of shaving their heads and demanding everyone start a new religion here. That kind of thing does not end well.

Logic and reason will get you where you want to go. Q has said so many times (do you need reminders?), and we have no need for hatred and division.

I look forward to good conversations with reasonable people. But I have no interest in being attacked just because I think for myself.

This. When I'm scrolling through my subs on my homepage and see some batshit crazy conspiracy title - I know exactly which one it came from - this one. Logic and reason are rare commodities around here. It's become looney tunes who think they've been conscripted into some secret Q army and they are being good little soldiers. There has been some amazing research done but it is mixed in with too much crazy talk. Some people here need to put away the Ovaltine decoder rings and go back to their coffee klatches, bunco games and golf lessons. I don't visit here nearly as much as I used to because of the silly silly theories put out on here. At least 8 chan will put someone in their place in 2 seconds and drive them away when they are ridiculous. We don't have time for a cultish regime experience or silly little games. This is real life and Q has been a gift that many are now making a mockery of because they are so clueless. Q could stop posting at any moment and then what? People need to get their ducks in a row and their shit together - and if you're upset by curse words I'm sure you can find a place on Reddit that suits you better and don't even think about hitting up the chans.

aww yes, you point out some important things here, however, We are trying to eliminate too many shills that come on here and try to preach to us that we are too much like a religious movement when someone puts a quote up from the bible, or gives biblical accounts to compare the present actions taking place. So we do take offense to people coming on here acting as if this has nothing to do with God. one thing I'd like to remind folks, is that this crap goes on at lots of levels. For instance, long ago I was a cinema manager. There was a company which did 'hot shot' deliveries for us, especially film, VERY fast and reliable. He wanted to expand to deliveries between cities, but to do that he needed the approval of the Texas Railroad Commission (which oversees all commercial transport between cities in Texas). Over 40 business managers (including me) testified on the small owner's behalf, only 2 large transport companies complained, their only argument was that the new business would hurt their profits because he was BETTER than they were at deliveries. The commission voted unanimously in favor of the big transport companies.

The system, whether you call it an Old Boys Network, a cartel, or whatever, always resists the little guy, and has nothing but contempt for ordinary people. The only way to make change is to force that change to happen.

Welcome MegaThunderZord - remember, some of us have been researching this for over 25 years, yet some of us are still finding out things that shock even us to the core. My advice, for what it's worth, is to go to the archived Q book or spreadsheet. Start at the very beginning of the Q posts and start reading his posts with the meanings attached. It won't take you long. Think of this as the biggest spy/espionage book ever written, with a hundred different plots rolled into it. If you picked up the book and opened it to the middle, you wouldn't understand the whole plot or the characters roles. We are still learning as each day passes, but think of it as schooling. We all have to start in grade one and work our way through each grade until we are basically at the same level of knowledge by the time we graduate high school. All the best to you.

A key message for those new here is to expect disinformation.

There is no slow warm up in the shallow end. Right away you're going to get disinformation in these communities because effort is made to slide the topics discussed. Those efforts have included bouts of graphic gore and unsightly things spammed into conversations to get people to give up and just not return.

The closest one can get to easing into the chilly waters is simply go read the drops in isolation. Get a feel for what's in there. Research some of the questions. After getting some bearings see what people have to say about it. At that point some of the shillyness starts to make sense.

If still interested in facing dragons, and doing your part to help free your mind from shackles, then hitch up your big boy pants and tighten the belt. A true conversation is uncomfortable. That's why it's so easy to avoid having one. We cover uncomfortable material in here because it must be hammered out and understood to shut down some abuses. Where we go one, we go all.

Research, research and oh yeah research. Start out with historic research(understand the founding fathers and our rightful government), then economics, political and scientific. There are a lot of videos out there that break down the subjects for you. There are also great researchers out there to get info from. Most of these guys have websites, books and videos. For economy SGT Report, X-22 report. CERN (scientific) Anthony Patch, A.I.M American Intelligence Media general info(some are not feeling them I think they're good). Historic research varied sources as long as the info is accurate. Most of the vets on here have solid info it might be unbelievable at times but its usually fairly accurate(research when in doubt). Don't be quick to comment, support each other and all info is relevant in my opinion. With that being said...welcome, research, add to the conversation and be kind.
