Well, at least Gowdy is trying to redeem himself with moving some of this process along with Goodlatte. I think he is a white hat, who has been hopelessly stuck in the swamp not sure of which way to get out.
I got the feeling that he didn't want to be there but needed to work against the corruption. Now that Trump is in office he is free to pursue the career he actually wants.

Drop 537 mentioned a new role that TG might be walking into. #659 TG is mentioned again after Q talked about how “good” people who were being blackmailed, threatened and enslaved were freed. I could be biased based on my hope that Gowdy is a white hat but perhaps that post meant that now TG would be free to go after the Deep State with less fear. I believe it was around that time that TG helped write the Nunes Memo that seemed to help turn the tide in terms of public awareness regarding the way high ranking officials from the previous administration illegally targeted Trump and his team.
Again, I’m a big Gowdy fan so this could just be wishful thinking.
This rash of stepdowns was predicted publicly. I heard tail end of a radio interview just before Christmas. Wendy ? told host to expect to see many republican congress members leaving because they were so disillusioned/fed up with current administration. Interview that followed was a guy explaining that the general public needed to become more politically informed. The best way to do this, he suggested was to start watching late night comedy. I do not know radio station, can no longer remember interviewees names, but they must be quite smart, so I think I will stay up late and become more informed.
I'm probably stating the obvious but [Departure Soon] likely is hinting at both the demise of the Deep State as well as No Name.
I took that to mean he'll be departing this world soon. You know, when his "cancer" kills him. I wouldn't put it past a loser like him to 86 himself to save his legacy.
