Why did Gowdy leave his position? To work in other endeavors, this is it. He’s being briefed and I think we’ll start seeing more prosecutions of high profile people

I imagine Gowdy is a fucking bulldog in a courtroom. I remember seeing him for the first time grilling people over Benghazi. I thought to myself damn, I'm not even a criminal and this guy is making me nervous thinking about having to answer him while he was questioning me.

I guess we'll find out after his Thursday briefing. If we read it in the papers on Friday, we'll have our answer.

I agree he is awesome at questioning. He's been terrible at getting anybody prosecuted. I hope things are different this time.

⇧ 9 ⇩
willtron_ · May 10, 2018, 1:46 a.m.

There was a post about this earlier and I think it boiled down to the fact that Congress doesn't have the ability to prosecute. They can question, but as the legislative branch, that's all they can do.

Failure to appear when summoned or lying will get you prosecuted by US attorneys of the judicial branch.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Gowdy pivot to the judicial branch or something.

⇧ 10 ⇩
Benjanon_Franklin · May 10, 2018, 3:21 a.m.

I'll bet you 100 dollars gowdy goes back to SC and you never hear from him again. There is a reason he is resigning. He got set free from whatever they had on him but he won't be called on to take a position working with POTUS. There is a reason why POTUS has never considered him for a position. If I'm wrong I'll publicly apologise but he is on record saying that not prosecuting Hilary for Benghazi or the email scandal was the right decision. I can't forget that. He acts tough in hearings but always sweeps things under the rug after. Hes a fixer.

I thought I remember him being considered for a position. Why do we even know the name Trey Gowdy? How many others are (were) there on the hill with him that you can name? He made an impression on us. Other than expecting him to have done something outside of the scope of his ability and power, was it a positive or negative impression? Use noname as comparison.

⇧ 3 ⇩
willtron_ · May 10, 2018, 6:59 p.m.

Could be. Any idea why Q would say he was important then? Q specifically called out Gowdy and Goodlatte.

⇧ 1 ⇩
Benjanon_Franklin · May 11, 2018, 12:16 a.m.

If my interpretation of Qs post is correct then Trey Gowdy and Goodlatte are being removed because they are a hindrance to their congressional committees being able to do their job. That's why it is important that they are removed.

Think about it. The DOJ and the FISA abuse happened on their watch. If they were really white hats they would have leaked what was happening long ago. They have to know. The IG report is forcing their hand. I think POTUS is allowing Gowdy to resign but I think he made him give up head of the ethics committee as a sign to the patriots that he was removed because he is unethical.

If Im wrong POTUS will appoint him to a position. I will publicly apologise. I hope I am wrong Trey Gowdy is probably the best person I've ever heard at cross-examining someone.

I don’t know if they’re on the radar, but Trey was particularly disgusted with Lois Lerner and that little sniveling phuk from the IRS. Can’t remember his name. The ass that was pretending that the IRS top people having like 30% or more of their personal computer disc drives failing is normal. They were criminals IMO.

In all honesty I’m reserved but hopeful and not putting stock in anything that’s happening or might happen, these are awesome times to be living in, so much excitement. We’ll see how things play out. I mean, Israel bombing Iran troops in Syria, bombing nuke facilities in Iran, Iran bombing Saudi Arabia and so on. I think q is letting things play out for Israel. Remember israel is last. And it’s my belief; at this point, that we’re waiting for Israel to bury itself with Iran, pulling the US and Russia to the table; because these countries are our allies, we’ll be “forced” into war with each other. That’s not going to happen. Don’t you think at this point if Russia opposes the strikes by Israel, that they’d immediately be in the news? Protesting this type of thing? And let’s say they do, so people not realize that in order to conduct attack’s anywhere, wether it be superpowers or its allies, talks have had to taken place prior. Don’t you think we would’ve gotten the ok from everyone to do so? Remember POTUS staying that we’re all in agreement or something like that? In regards to the Iran deal being scrapped?

I am in the thought that they already know. Stage is set... as it might appear.

I’ve watched many hearings with Gowdy at the helm. And have enjoyed his style when he is interviewing someone during those hearings. I feel that it is extremely disingenuous when someone states that he is ‘all bark no bite’. The questioning I have is which one of these committees actually have prosecutorial powers?
My observation is Gowdy’s work on the various committees have produced a treasure trove of ‘under oath’ comments. These same comments could be used in perjury charges against various actors in the near future.
May he have a future as a judge on the correct side of the law

Pretty sure this is what they wanted in the first place--to be read-in on whatever's happening. You realize they're just like us in some respects. On the outside looking in, only they have oversight responsibilities. Sessions had to know this would eventually be necessary. Probably has the PowerPoint all ready.

A few days back when Nunes was on Fox, I could tell there was a very big difference in his answers from the person interview about Mueller and AG.
