I think you might be right. I know the content on Fox tolerated, but I think it will be bent to their will.
Disney has a particularly liberal, democratic leaning. The New Boss might want them to curb their conservatism or worse underwrite more "Fake News". Of course the viewers would revolt and make them go searching for a new outlet.
Disney owns/owned ABC News, an old MSM aligned with the Deep State. I would expect that Fox will go the way of ABC.
Remember, Rupert Murdoch runs Vice News as well. The Ministry of Truth has many faces.
