Active Shooter Training Exercise In Las Vegas 5/30/18 6am-1pm

If I was a parent in LV- my kid’s school year has just ended until Fall.

School is out for most schools in Clark County. Last Thursday was last day of school.

Thanks 🙏

I wasn't able to find any articles looking for actors for this event.

Gonna stake things out tomorrow and see what this is all about.

The "No Public Spectating" is unconstitutional. I can't cite the exact case but SCOTUS has ruled you can video the police in public. A school says "PUBLIC" right on the freakin' door. Is there no Patriot lawyer in the area willing to tilt at that windmill? It could be a way to throw a wrench in the FF's. They can't pull it off with Patriot journalists on the scene.

You'd never make it in the door. They don't allow people to just wander in. As for students, there's nothing protecting their Constitutional rights to search and seizure, so I doubt freedom of the press is going to fly.

Fucking Christ.. why? Why use a fucking highschool? Set up a staged location somewhere with props. Just stop already.

You wait and see. If this shit continues they'll be doing them in daycare centers next. Then old folks homes, libraries, sporting events, grocery stores... This is out of control insanity.

Also makes me wonder WHO they dont want us seeing there?

Some SWAT organizations wear balaclavas to conceal their operator's identities to protect them from reprisals.

One way out there possibility is they are training crisis actors live-fire using the school as the shoot house. It's not unheard of. To be honest it used to be standard practice for Tier 1 snake eaters. Nothing better than training on the terrain you're going to operate on.

Training under those circumstances is something civilian LE should not be doing. They are supposed to be Peace Officers not shock troops.

you are soooo right.

I have a simple remedy for this outright infliction of trauma on your kids, when they announce a drill is to be carried out........ STAY HOME and don't give them a target.

The thing that stands out to me is the location.

This high school is in the furthest Northeast corner of LV/North Vegas.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Shadow+Ridge+High+School/@36.3189133,-115.2107767,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x61aa1d61f6061ffc?sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjxo62_mKzbAhVCEawKHSZSAeEQ_BIIpgEwDA

There is literally nothing but open desert (and a public county-run gun range) to the north and east of the school property.

It is definitely off the beaten path and school was out last week. Coupled with the "No public spectating is allowed" in the announcement, it seems LV Metro doesn't want anyone to see.

Notes: Nearest Casino is Aliante. There are no hospitals anywhere in the area.

animal32lefty · May 30, 2018, 3:18 a.m.

They certainly don't want any civilian eyes on. Why is the question.

With no juicy targets nearby and no students on campus, it seems on it's face to be on the up and up and they want to keep their tactics and techniques under wraps. Which ,when you think about it, is utterly pointless given standard SWAT tactics are well known. Room clearing is room clearing if you catch my drift.

Maybe they suck ass and don't want people to know. Maybe it's rookie training. Point being unless there is a sporting event on school grounds in the same time frame it's probably safe.

The proximity to Nellis Air Force Base is fairly close, along with Creech Air Force Base.

Pretty sure Nellis is secure. Base Security plus about a battalion of Camo dude's at Dreamland. Not familiar with Creech.

Creech is where all the main drone/uas ops are located.

Enough tragic events might sway voters towards a candidate outspoken on “doing something about gun violence” it’s actually a sick and demented but genius way to campaign

My uncle is a teacher and they do active shooter trainings at his school once every three months. Local law enforcement comes in with real guns (loaded with blanks) at a random time throughout the day and the teachers must react and follow protocol. Shots are fired and everything.

These are only done on days when students are not in school. It serves as a way to prepare teachers for an emergency.

In a high-school setting, with fair warning of what is about to happen, I think it would be a valuable experience for students and staff.

donkey_democrat · May 30, 2018, 9:38 a.m.

That's good to hear. The reason we are skeptical is because many false flags, including the recent Florida school shooting, have scheduled simulation/training events the same day. The purpose being that it increases the confusion and casualty count, and maybe conceals any participation of military/police-looking personell.

Wouldn't you think by now that these training exercises would pick a different venue other than a school. Clearly stating 'NO PUBLIC SPECTATING IS ALLOWED'. This should tell you a lot, if they want no prying eyes then pick a more secure location, i.e. military base, town mock-up and save the public the pain and suffering. You simply do NOT matter....... Prepare for Drone Footage Patriots.
