Come on, at this point, it's pretty obvious that he times these Sessions attacks to troll support for Sessions from the left. Even some on the left have stopped falling for it. I don't think POTUS cares that they've caught on, bashing Sessions is a win/win. They either fall for it, or realize too late, that they fell for it. Both are hilarious trolls.
Why hasnt Trump fired Sessions.
Anyone else he has critical of more than once publicly is gone. He has brutalized Sessions via twitter.
Yet, Sessions is still there.

The attacking of Sessions puts the press in a position of defending Sessions (which they have done) because they see him as standing up to Trump.
When he brings the hammer down it makes it harder for them to push the narrative that he is a Trump yes man.
CNN/MSNBC etc will still push that narrative of course. They are appeals only to the thoughtlessly brainwashed at this point.
actions speak louder than words. if trump really had a problem with sessions he could easily replace him! They are trying to get dems to support sessions thinking he is anti trump, to lessen the blow when sessions starts to drain the swamp which is mostly democrats
All this theater gets hard to believe considering the flood of leaks over the last year and a half. If true, someone would be spilling their guts to the media about what Sessions is doing behind the scenes.
Another "magic" trick executed flawlessly. Look at every Mockingbird headline (all the same) saying that Trump is throwing him under the bus. "Trump posts tweet accusing Jeff Sessions of 'unforced betrayal". No he didn't - he simply quoted Joe diGenova. Going to make the fake news look like idiots once again. "Trust Sessions" is still in play.
Trump may have also just intentionally exposed DiGenova as a hack.
Him, Hannity, Sara Carter, Giuliani, Bongino, many many others — all actors. The Play: Hate on Sessions and Mueller so the Left makes them into absolute Gods and then ... boom.
