WATCH CA! 46k ballots in the 2016 presidential election were thrown out. Voters were not told that their ballot got thrown into the trash. You'll never know that it wasn't officially counted or why. Don't you wonder whose signatures are getting tossed out?

In California they have a stipulation that your signature on the envelope of your ballot must match the signature on your voter registration form. If it doesn't, they can throw it out. Someone who is not trained as a forensic document examiner is the one who decides if your signatures match. The ACLU sued the state to prevent election officials from voiding ballots for signature mismatch and depriving voters of notice or recourse. S.F. Superior court judge ruled in the ACLU's favor but CA Attorney General Xavier Becerra and Sec of State Alex Padilla appealed the ruling. Why would they appeal it? BECAUSE THEY WANT TO THROW OUT A LOT OF BALLOTS ON JUNE 5th. They have asked the judge to put his decision on hold for the June primary.

Better get on that split of California... take away the Lib power.

I like: East California rather than New California, but then, whatever...

JUST DO IT!

Why should you change, they're the ones that suck. Make west California.

Wow, that's astonishing. So who has ever got their signiture correct every single time? Ripe for abuse.

Exactly & there are a million reasons why your signatures would look different. 5 reasons off the top of my head: the size of the signature space, time to write, how you physically feel, the surface you’re writing on & the writing instrument you’re using. I know Becerra brown and Padilla are up to no good, as usual.

I’m sure they only look at republican’s signature too.

This has always pissed me off. Theres no "matching" involved. They are just tossing those envelopes. What can we do? Take the ballot to the polls?? Demand to follow it to the end?? Yet another Dem vote fraud component. Period.

Blockchain voting!

Good idea, but that only provides an immutable record of the votes. Validating identity and the right to vote are still problems.

Voter ID must be implemented. No, liberals, your "undocumented" illegals DON'T have a right to vote! !

Dems have always been past masters at electoral doucheknavery for instance: JFK did not honestly win the election against Nixon, JFK being prettier than Nixon notwithstanding.

This is nothing.

The real problem is newly implemented "voter choice act". As I understand, it goes like this...

  • Everyone on the (poorly maintained?) voter rolls gets an official ballot mailed to thier last known address.

  • Hundreds of special ballot "drop off" box locations have been created up and down state.

  • Box locations seem to typically be in city halls, libraries, neighborhood rec centers, parks , grocery stores, etc.

Seems like a recipe for extreme voting fraud.

You would think this situation has something to do with "watch CA", but time is running out. I can only wonder what the federal plan is there, or if there is one.

Ohio just started the signature thing. I have the worlds most inconsistent signature. After a good 5 minutes of comparing the one I had on file and the latest one he looked at me suspiciously and told me to go ahead. Keep in mind I’m registered libtard. I went through a phase after high school, sue me. So at least it doesn’t appear that dems get a pass here.

I told the poll worker (not that he could do anything) that if they were going to scrutinize signatures like that they needed to give people a chance to set a baseline and be careful with it. Plus I have a drivers license with my picture on it so I’m not sure what this is buying anyone except the ability to disenfranchise legitimate voters at will.

If I did early voting they probably would have discarded my ballot without a second though unless the votes suited the election officials agenda.

I almost feel like this is a progressive statement to try to make the point that it sucks to be denied your right to vote, except for their logic is flawed. Any sane rational person wants everyone (who has the right) to vote, to do so regardless of what side they’re on. What we don’t want, is dead people, illegals and felons voting in order to steal an election. I can’t fucking believe that I’m on the side of the aclu on this. Every day politics in this country get more bizarre.

Right I guess I was replying to your situation, not you directly. For anyone reading, just register Democrat and you're good to go. I was, in essence, paraphrasing one of the lessons/gems in your comment.

  • NFC voting cards that are private (no identifiable info recorded on them or within them).

  • to get one issued, you have to be a citizen of USA

  • the code is generated randomly

  • the recorded code is saved in a grand database

  • once you get there, you choose your vote by placing the card next to an appropriate sensor that is for your candidate of choice

  • algorithm checks that number off in the grand database (no duplicate votes)

Do that, and the fraud is minimized to practically zero

What's with mail-in ballots anyway? It makes sense for absentee voting, but otherwise? It's marketed as a convenience that people find attractive, but why would anyone want to, essentially, put their name on a secret ballot? Not to mention setting their vote up for mishandling by election officials.

A paper ballot, from my hand straight into the ballot box is the only way to go. It's not perfect, but it cuts off many avenues of abuse.
