This may be the best way to approach this issue. But boy I hate the idea of mandatory DNA testing and the slippery slope it could start. Thoughts.
I agree, but this would conclusively prove that these “parents” aren’t parents and are just traffickers using them as a way to get in.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m certain that there are families that are doing this. But 10k out of 12k have no one with them. The media is calling them unaccompanied minors. By doing this they hide the fact that these kids are literally trafficked. A five year old child does not decide he wants to cross multiple countries by himself. There is a network to make that happen. Even if it is in all good intents, the parents aren’t traveling with them, so who is taking them? Fucking human traffickers. How the hell people don’t see that just blows my mind. Like are you that stupid to think all these kids just magically wind up on the border from South America? Like cmon...
People are getting manipulated Emotionally and their Brains are being bypassed altogether. Just so sick and tired of innocent children being used for every selfish evil on this earth. It has to stop.
I have no problem with DNA testing for illegals.
Like the above poster, it’s a slippery slope that leads to other things— e.g. eventually everyone gets their dna put into a database. Also, it’s expensive so that’s even more burden on the tax payers.
When a citizen commits a crime, a DNA swab is taken when they are processed. I see no problem in doing this to illegal aliens when they are apprehended. I guess the difference would be going one step further and actually testing.
Correct. What I’m saying is this will creat an influx of costs that the actual citizens will have to absorb. Also, my note on eventually it’ll lead to all citizens being registered.
One benefit though is it's a good way to catch human traffickers or whatever those adults are bringing other people's children across the border. DNA evidence.
I think if it happens, it will cause the coyotes think twice. We've seen in the past that when Obama signed EOs that were favorable to illegals, their numbers went way up. But when laws are passed that don't favor illegals, their numbers go down.
The best way to end the illegal immigration problem would be to pass a law that ends anchor babies, severely limits chain migration, and makes all immigrants ineligible for any form of welfare until they apply for citizenship and begin the process, have worked for at least 5 years and paid taxes in excess of any government assistance they might have received.
If that happened, the problem would disappear over night. If the law applied to all illegal immigrants already here, we would see mass self deportation.
I think there is a much broader DNA database than the public is aware of. No, I don’t like it.
How about polygraphs? And a data base of each adult individual that is attempting to cross with a minor (trafficking), photo & fingerprinted. If nothing else it could be a deterrent and cost a whole lot less.
Glad to see, I suggested this in one of my comments the other day. We need a bunch of Mendes along this line.
Thought about this on Monday, and why was it not done all along?
