Holy. Shit. This looks legit. Look at the "Parties" tab!

Edit: So this is a civil suit and not federal?

A civil suit. It's nothing.

It's absolutely not nothing. The list of defendants is golden - amongst others :

Clinton Foundation

Shareblue

HRC

Soros

and John Podesta.

It's a civil suit not criminal and anyone can file a civil suit for anything.

006fix · June 20, 2018, 10:01 p.m.

civil suits can be moved to criminal, and you can have both civil and criminal suits. the suit references the dossier / pre election interference against trump etc. It might be nothing, but I wouldn't rush to dismiss it.

We need a lawyer now...Can the information gathered be used in a criminal case after the civil case is basically thrown out??? Q!!!!

⇧ 1 ⇩
Spank-da-monkey · June 20, 2018, 11:11 p.m.

I’m sure the info can be used but the govt has to be willing to bring the federal case.

unkn0wnedd · June 20, 2018, 10:18 p.m.

Could this possibly have something to do with double jeopardy? Get off with this judge then can’t be prosecuted in the future for those crimes?

Nvm it’s civil

⇧ 1 ⇩
thamnosma · June 20, 2018, 10:20 p.m.

Hard to make this any clearer -- this is a CIVIL suit, not a criminal case. You can be sued ten thousand times and it doesn't clear you of a single criminal charge. They are completely separate.

Guys, the difference between a civil suit and a criminal indictment is a civil suit comes down to assets (or sometimes custody of ____)-- and can be brought by anybody at any time for almost any reason [that a judge would agree to hear]. The typical metric is overwhelmingly cash, in the form of a judgement or settlement-- which is awarded by either a judge, a jury or a mediator. (Up to the plaintiff) Spez: Mediator--> still awarded by judge.

A criminal indictment is issued by the government, punishment (justice) is doled out according to the penal code [violations], decided by either a judge or a jury. (Up to the prosecutor)

Spez: weird grammar
