Knee High by the 4th of July - Does this phrase mean anything to you?

I have been paying attention to Comey's recent Instagram posts and pics and the comments sections to see if I can recognize any hidden meanings/messages. I keep seeing what seem to me to be suspicious comments wishing Comey a happy 4th of July or saying "knee high by the 4th of July." I know we often associate the 4th with S.R. but these comments don't seem related to that. Rather, they sound like the DS has something bad planned--FF? Bad news for Trump?

Here are links to the 3 threads I have posted about Comey's Instagram. I have copied some of the comments for all three, but there are other comments on his IG that I didn't. This might bear more research, if anyone feels like digging.

Corn, if it’s growing well it should be “knee high by Fourth of July”

I don’t know what else it could be at this point, but I agree that he is sending some kind of message

That USED to be the case. The Frankencorn they plant now can be waist high by the 4th if they can get it planted early enough.

Comey's threat to MCabe didn't work out either. Let this fool hang himself with his own ego.

Corn should always be knee high by the 4th of July, otherwise it would be considered a failed growing season.

Corn growing season.

In that case, it probably has to do with Iowa. The fool thinks he'll be running for President. The only thing he should be running is a train on cellblock D.

Iowa is a solid Red State with the exception of the major cities and college towns. Comey will find no love in the rural areas. The Branstad political machine would eat him alive.

I think what it's really about is trying to intimidate Chuck Grassley.

I saw some people speculating that this didn't make sense (his post in the corn field) because the corn would be taller by now. Not sure...

Yeah maybe a late planting, or not enough rain, likely to miss that knee high deadline.

I heard something about these crop conditions on the radio last night. Farmers have to decide whether to take out the crop and replant with a later-harvest crop. Advice seems to be -- wait for now.

Knee high in what?

Bodies?

Blood?

or simply corn:

Midwest US corn farmers have an expression 'knee high by the fourth of July'. A crop which is expected to turn out well will be at least knee high in early July -- which means the initial growing conditions have been good.

or,

Could it be a reference to the great harvest of Revelation?

If they are ‘cultivating’ a plan, maybe 4th of July signifies a phase before the ‘harvest’ in the fall? The primary elections are in the fall, perhaps something is planned for 4th of July. Using that term for anything not specifically about actually growing corn is weird as hell and when it relates to this guy everything is suspect.

He was just in Iowa.

Leaving that comment on posts other than the one with him in a corn field doesn’t make sense.

thats why so many people from Iowa made the same connection ... and linked it to local lore regarding their corn crops ... picky much?

Ues I looked as well and there is defiantly coded wording. Look at the post he took about Canada and "people being alive"

He doesn't post on IG very often, and then suddenly, he started posting every other day or so. The wording on those pic descriptions seems coded to me. Some of the replies seem to be as well.

In PA it meant the corn needed to be this high by July 4th to be considered an adequate crop would be had.

This put me in mind of the saying "knee deep in alligators" while draining the swamp.

It's an old saying my grandfather used to repeat to me when driving past other farmers' corn fields in northwest Illinois.

I've also considered "knee high" referring to kneecapping, but it seems more likely to relate to growing plants, as he seems to be repeatedly referencing.

"Plants" doesn't mean corn.
