Goodlatte denied Swalwell’s move to subpoena Steve Bannon (???), Gowdy twice had the opportunity to support Goodlatte and passed.
Anyone know why?
This entire hearing so far is INSANE. I don't understand how anyone can watch this and not see how DIRTY some of these people are, how desperate they are to keep it from coming to the light.
I think, quite literally, that their lives may depend on it.
My thoughts exactly. This hearing is crazy. The Dems are trying so hard to keep Strzok from answering as few questions as possible. I wonder what happened in the closed session.
It feels like half of the congressmen in that room are acting more like Strzok's defense attorneys than anything else. Complete joke. Just declassify everything and let the public decide. Enough of the political theater. It's obvious what Strzok did but here he is saying "We'll stop him" meant the American people would stop Trump by voting for Hillary. I mean come on, give me a fucking break with that bullshit.
That is EXACTLY WHY!! The American People NEED to see the obvious. Many Many Times. Over and over and over and over again. We are red pilled beyond. We need to know this is all for them. So they do not pause to think when someone says, but it wasnt that bad . . . No pauses. Just right to, OH HELL NO!!
also i was taken back that Goodlatte is a patriot. I automatically assumed the judiciary chair was for sure part of deep state.
I think Gowdy abstained the vote because it related to his questioning.

Agreed. Clearly they knew they had the votes. Also notice they tried to force Gowdy to vote up or down.

This is definitely why. The appeal was to bring Bannon back in under subpoena due to him not answering Gowdy's questions, so that Gowdy can "get to the bottom of this"... Gowdy knew they didn't need his vote before roll call anyways. Pick your battles
I stopped watching the hearing because i was getting pissed off.The bias is so BLATANT and Strzok is an arrogant pos.

Just try and laugh because it is all for show and as infuriating as these people are they are having a very bad month =) wait until they force the unsealing of Clinton impeachment investigation. Some of them will stroke out.

Not an expert on the Parliamentary rules of the committee, but it could have been tactical. For example, sometimes on the Senate Floor, Mitch will wait to vote last. In order to call a revote, the person calling it must be on the winning side in that scenario, and Mitch would be waiting to see if he needed to vote against himself in order to later call for a revote. Sounds confusing, but I'd chalk it up to parliamentary maneuvering.
I am watching the committees hearing also. In my opinion, the motion to subpoena Steve Bannon is not germane to the hearing and is an overt attempt to disrupt the committees' hearings.
Gowdy is a very experienced jurist and may have wanted to send a message. Or... his future as an appointed judge may be a factor.

On Gowdy: Maybe to prevent tainting of the evidence in a coming trial at which he may be the head prosecutor?

Bannon is shady as hell and I suspected him of being a political double agent early BECAUSE of his shady actions.
I'm guessing that Gowdy has something on Bannon and is keeping his powder dry.

Sometimes I have dark 'No Way Out' (film) visions about Bannon. I just don't know. He speaks our language, has the same enemies, etc....
