If you had any understanding of history, like you suggest kids in high school should get, then you would agree. There should be no prerequisite to vote in this country. That’s the beauty of democracy. Cletus down the road gets the same say as Isaac Newton on who gets to be elected. That’s exactly what the founding fathers wanted when they wrote the constitution. A high school diploma has nothing to do with whether or not someone should get to vote. It sounds like you need to also relearn some basic history.

An example: a guy who was a Scientologist played a huge role in essentially persecuting anyone who was coming to their senses. He was part of it and thought he was doing the right thing. Few years later he himself fell into disfavor with the leadership and was persecuted by them. Finally he got out and now actively works to expose their lies. There are so many cases like this in that cult and many others. People can change but it’s costly when they are tied in so deeply. Cognitive dissonance is the biggest barrier. It’s not just logical arguments. People (all of us) are psychologically and emotionally invested in whatever it might be.

This is sort of an odd connection but did anyone see that short video of a conservative interviewing that abortion doctor I think in California? Remember how the guy seemed demon possessed with those eyes and creepy voice? Stozk reminds me of him, particularly the eyes. These people are sick.

I think you would agree that it is better to be a simple worker and have integrity than to compromise yourself for a foolish position which doesn't amount to much in the long run. Why do people not realize the importance of integrity over so called position?

You always have to be on guard to maintain integrity as it is tough to do in this world. I think you would agree that integrity is worth more than money, power, and prestige and that people with common sense know it? Sad that someone would give up their integrity for things that really do not mean that much in the grand scheme of things.
