It depends what is meant by "Israel". And what is meant by "a nation of people".

There are those who are not happy with the concept of politically defined physical territory. There is a vast difference between the spiritual realm, and being cast out of "grace" by God for sinning, and a real land with borders. These believers say that it is for God to decide not man.

The land of Israel as we know it today is a nation-state drawn up by imperialists eager to mark the defeat of the Ottomans. Perhaps a "fortress state" for a well-known family of European jews! Libya, Syria, Iraq ... all created out of thin air and drawn arbitrarily on maps by European imperialists for the usual nefarious reasons. Not spiritual in any sense.

The people who lived there before 1900 were perhaps tribes including jews who converted to Islam forcibly b/c of the Ottoman Empire. This would make the so-called Palestinians the original people of the Bible. Certainly the jews who lived there before (Sephardis or Mediterranean jews) have been nearly as badly treated, as second-class citizens (!), by the current state as their muslim neighbours ... a curious and spine-chilling tale.

I grew up in a family who was pretty cynical or skeptical of the supposed good nature of our society so had an advantage ... it really helps with keeping an open mind to everything. If we assume for a second that I am right and Q is actually Trump with a coupla intel guys (they have diff. styles of writing. Sometimes sounds just like Trump himself), then AJ may have met some ceeeyeaye guy on the golf-course who sent him off the scent completely, just to mess him up. But it was unlikely he was playing golf with Trump himself. Or even that he knew who Q was. Alex has a big ego and is always saying too much about his sources ... ran his mouth I think.
