This thread is dedicated to the way the board is run. If you have any suggestions about how we should do things, or you think any other posters are causing trouble, feel free to discuss it here.

We would all prefer if you would ask about things on the board so that everything is public, though. If you think I'm doing a bad job of running the board, don't hesitate to mention why so I can stop doing whatever I'm doing. If you think I've become a tyrannical dictator and that I'm not listening to your criticisms, the nature of this website is such that you can start a new VQC-related board, and our community is small enough that you wouldn't have any trouble convincing everyone to join you if they agreed. This board is not about me; it's about the collaborative effort.

There is also a /vqc/ Discord server. Ask Topol either in RSA general or his EZ Bake general thread if you'd like to join. This Discord server is strictly for off-topic conversations and half-baked ideas that we don't think are worth posting here on the board. We are all dedicated to making this a public disclosure, so if you think some of us are plotting behind closed doors, you're welcome to join the server and post screenshots to the board.

(1) If you're going to be an annoying cunt, and in particular imageposting irrelevant shit, do not namefag or tripfag. Namefagging or tripfagging while shitflooding should result in an immediate ban.

Picking an arbitrary proportion of posts to tolerate doesn't solve the issue of irrelevancy, and making it that specific doesn't make much sense. Plus, in terms of relevancy, that can be subjective too. We'd have to be very specific about what we define as on-topic, because, for example, posting about Minecraft at the beginning would have been way off-topic, and now people are using it to plot points. Also it might lead to no-fun-allowed rules that get in the way of people's regular posting habits (meaning, as cringey as I think it is, people couldn't post MLP-shit and make fun of each other). I know what you actually mean (it seems like you're the one who reported that tripfag both times), and I do mostly agree with you. I just want to make sure this runs as smoothly as possible and doesn't require much in the way of ownership changes and public outcry. We should be putting our attention towards the math. The board itself is secondary. If I start doing things everyone hates, it'll waste time.

This one isn't even consistent. No offense, but I don't think you thought these through very much. In terms of those posts, I don't personally see why we should ban that unless it's to the point of spamming the thread. It's be more of a no-fun-allowed rule than rule 2. That's my opinion, anyway. I understand why you'd want rid of it.

This is all meant to be for the sake of making the best rules possible, so don't take any of this personally or as flat out refusal. Like I said, VQC hasn't taken the board from me, so I have a responsibility to keep there from being any kind of board drama while also keeping there from being tons of idiots posting dumb bullshit.

Have you considered just asking the individual in question to stop posting? I know this is a wild idea but many of us, myself included, are not here to cause problems. Instead they are here to contribute. If those contributions are not wanted I'm sure that when the person realizes that they would stop. They probably continue because they have received positive feedback. instead of making a big fight over it just ask politely and I bet you will get what you want. Just my 2 cents.

I think providing the links to the archives would be a good addition to the new introduction thread–but it would be better if you left the archives of existing threads (the ones on this board) off–a simple link would be better. Since the archives don't store the underlying images, you only have access to the thumbnails…which is often useless when we're looking for details.

I'm still working on a Java program that will allow us to focus on examining patterns. It's slow-going because I've got about four months of experience with the language, and very little experience dealing with GUIs…but it's an excellent learning experience.

VA/Veritas Aequitas gave me the name when I started the board, since my idea was to use this place as an archive (I also had a feeling we might get banned on /cbts/ eventually since VQC had been, so we'd need somewhere to go). As far as the purpose for the graphics, yeah…I want to be able to see things visually.

I was going to make a hyper-cube game during this break, but I'm doing this instead. I see the grid image not so much as a 2D image, but stacks of 2D images lying on top each other, each shifted left. I don't think there's any noise in there whatsoever; with the way VQC has been speaking, there's a beautiful pattern underlying all of it; it's just a matter of finding it.

If what I'm saying is right, then we're really looking at a 4D pattern rendered in 2D: the individual cells (can) contain an infinite dimension, and there's another dimension that represents the stack of "trees." If we can take that up another dimension–ie, make this grid image a 3D image, then that should get us to 5D. It's just a matter of seeing how everything relates.

I've tried to upload to Mega, and it's useless. I'm getting about 2 MB up a day with a free account; an average thread is about 200 MB.

So rather than upload there, I've made this graphic with instructions on how to use HTTrack:

Most people who use Linux likely use wget; for others, there's this. It works pretty well for most websites–most notably this one.

I can also put up a few torrent links in a few weeks, if that is preferred. I have backups of all general threads separately and the entire board as a whole.

Just to clarify for future reference, I'm not any of the people known as Archive Anon (such as German Archive Anon) from /qresearch/. I guess it's a common name. Sage because nobody asked but someone might wonder at some point.
