A Chinese company has developed the new multiple rocket launcher with cruise missiles and unitary rockets that hide in a container.

The new container missile system will display at the 11th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China 2016) in Zhuhai.

Universal launching module, performed as the standard maritime container-type. Putting the launcher system into a standard shipping container allows the missiles to be moved and stored without arousing suspicion, which in turn renders pre-emptive strikes against the launcher very difficult.

The container missile system has been fitted with a WS-43 miniature attack cruise missiles and module of unitary rockets from multiple launch rocket system.

Trump signed an Executive Order that closes a longstanding, critical, security loophole for United States Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) products, one abused by those seeking to harm our country. Building upon the Trump Administration’s unprecedented actions to prevent malign actors from infiltrating our information technology and communication and services (ICTS) supply chains, this Executive Order, “Taking Additional Steps to Address the National Emergency with Respect to Significant Malicious Cyber-Enabled Activities,” reduces malign actors’ access to and ability to use United States ICTS products for nefarious purposes.

Foreign malicious cyber actors threaten our economy and national security through the theft of intellectual property and sensitive data, and by targeting United States critical infrastructure. By gaining access to United States IaaS products, foreign actors can steal the fruits of American innovation and prepare destructive attacks on our Nation’s critical infrastructure with anonymity. Malign actor abuse of United States IaaS products has played a role in every cyber incident during the last four years, including the actions resulting in the penetrations of United States firms FireEye and Solar Winds.

Today’s action by the President is a major step forward in giving our Nation’s network defenders and investigators an advantage in protecting the American people from those wishing to do us harm.

Issued on: January 19, 2021

Dear Madam Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:)

Pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) (IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, I hereby report that I have issued an Executive Order declaring additional steps to be taken concerning the national emergency with respect to significant malicious cyber enabled activities declared in Executive Order 13694 of April 1, 2015 (Blocking the Property of Certain Persons Engaging in Significant Malicious Cyber-enabled activities), as amended, to address the use of United States Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) products by foreign malicious cyber actors.

Foreign actors use United States IaaS products for a variety of tasks in carrying out malicious cyber-enabled activities, which makes it extremely difficult for United States officials to track and obtain information through legal process before these foreign actors transition to replacement infrastructure and destroy evidence of their prior activities; foreign resellers of United States IaaS products make it easier for foreign actors to access these products and evade detection. This order provides authority to impose record-keeping obligations with respect to foreign transactions.

To address these threats, to deter foreign malicious cyber actors’ use of United States IaaS products, and to assist in the investigation of transactions involving foreign malicious cyber actors, the United States must ensure that providers offering United States IaaS products verify the identity of persons obtaining an IaaS account (“Account”) for the provision of these products and maintain records of those transactions. In appropriate circumstances, to further protect against malicious cyber-enabled activities, the United States must also limit certain foreign actors’ access to United States IaaS products. Further, the United States must encourage more robust cooperation among United States IaaS providers, including by increasing voluntary information sharing, to bolster efforts to thwart the actions of foreign malicious cyber actors.

I have delegated to the Secretary of Commerce, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence, to exempt any United States IaaS provider, or any specific type of Account or lessee, from the requirements of any regulation issued pursuant to this section. Such standards and procedures may include a finding by the Secretary that a provider, Account, or lessee complies with security best practices to otherwise deter abuse of IaaS products.

The heads of all executive departments and agencies are directed to take all appropriate measures within their authority to implement the provisions of the Executive Order.

I am enclosing a copy of the Executive Order I have issued.

Yellen vows 'full array of tools' to curb China's abusive practices

The U.S. is prepared to "use the full array of tools" against "abusive" Chinese practices, Treasury secretary nominee Janet Yellen said Tuesday, projecting a tough stance on the bilateral trade row ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.

"We need to take on China's abusive, unfair and illegal practices," Yellen told the Senate Finance Committee in her confirmation hearing, soon after calling the Asian country "our most important strategic competitor." "China is undercutting American companies by dumping products, erecting trade barriers and giving illegal subsidies to corporations," as well as "stealing intellectual property" and engaging in such unfair practices as "forced technology transfers," the former Federal Reserve chair said, echoing the outgoing Trump administration's complaints against Beijing.

Yellen's remarks Tuesday suggest that the Sino-American economic relationship will remain fraught under Biden. But the two administrations differ on how to counter Beijing.

In her testimony, Yellen stressed the importance of working with allies, as well as of investing in infrastructure, research and development, and elsewhere in order to compete with China. The veteran economist, who will be the first woman to lead the U.S. Treasury if confirmed, did not take a clear stance on the use of tariffs but said that when it comes to addressing such issues as forced technology transfers, the U.S. "should focus directly on those practices."

Biden has said he will not move quickly to remove Trump's tariffs on China before a comprehensive review and consulting with allies.

And while acknowledging the importance of sanctions administered and enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control under Treasury Yellen said she will be "focused on making sure that they're used strategically" and "in the most effective way." To this end, Yellen said she will ask Deputy Treasury Secretary-designate Wally Adeyemo to "quickly" begin a review of current U.S. sanctions policy if he is confirmed.

In its final months, the Trump administration has broadened such policy to include a ban on trading and owning a wide range of China stocks, including the country's top three telecommunications carriers – a move criticized for hurting U.S. investors.

Biden's economic policy team also has bigger domestic challenges to address. In the face of economic damage from COVID-19, Yellen told the Senate committee that the U.S. must "act big" on economic relief or risk "a longer, more painful recession now and longer-term scarring of the economy later." Questioned on rising government debt, Yellen said that the most important thing that can be done now to "put us on a path of fiscal sustainability is to defeat the pandemic, to provide relief to American people, and then to make long-term investments that will help the economy grow and benefit future generations." Yellen also expressed an openness to the idea of the U.S. issuing long-term debt to take advantage of low rates.

Meanwhile, China reports that its gross domestic product grew a real 2.3% in 2020, making it the only major economy to expand in the pandemic-stricken year.

Old Army Infantry fag here. That 10th Mountain Division patch is on his RIGHT shoulder. That is a "Combat Patch", meaning he has been deployed at some point in his career with the 10th Mountain. Whatever patch is worn on the LEFT shoulder signifies which division / unit a soldier is currently assigned to. MANY Guard and Reserve soldiers are finishing their contract obligations. Example; I enlisted for 8 years total: 2 years Active Duty, 4 in the Guard and 2 more years of IRR (Individual Ready Reserve).
