2.) The investigative agents, those who most people put their faith upon, are hampered by compartmentalized isolation of evidence. The system is purposefully set up that way. Evidence is essentially silo'd.

 

3.) Those who understand my efforts understand the objective when cast against the reality of silo'd and compartmentalized evidence.

 

4.) The DOJ team, which includes investigative units who transition evidence from investigative use into actionable DOJ assemblies, do not track successfully across known firewalls….

 

5.) The Durham probe (for lack of a more authentic descriptive) do not communicate w/The Hill. Ex. HPSCI does not communicate w/Durham; at least they do not successfully communicate. In part this is because the receiver would be accepting the political intents of the evidence.

 

6.) Politics creates a compartmented information flow. Information, even valid evidence that would be useful for investigators, becomes useless when retrieved or originated from political entities.

 

6.) The result is actual Durham/Barr investigators do not know where most of the explosive evidence is located. This includes any documents that originate from inside this complemented process.

 

7.) As a result of this convoluted process; the Durham team knows little about any evidence their internal unit did not independently create. This system design helps the compartmented and corrupt to escape accountability.

 

8.) Durham investigators therefore do not have a handle over the totality of evidence that exists in the public sphere; because the public evidence exists as extracted from numerous individual compartments - some of which they do not / cannot peer into.

 

9.) Previously both Senate and House staff admitted this was the fundamental flaw in their own investigations. Additionally, this factual/structural flaw was confirmed to me today by the Durham investigative unit. [Read #8 Again]

 

10) Repeat: Durham investigators do not have a handle on the totality of evidence that exists in the public sphere; because the public evidence exists as extracted from numerous individual compartments - some of which they do not / cannot peer into.

 

11) When you understand that, you understand what I am doing. I have extracted and collated evidence from inside each compartment; then assemble and deliver to the investigative unit in such a manner as the political toxicity is removed.

 

12.) Today they saw evidence for the first time that was never assembled. You would be stunned at what they do not know, because the institutional and political compartmentalization blocks the investigative use.

 

13.) There is no grand investigative plan. There is no bigger investigative design… because the quest to provenance evidence, the demanded process itself, must be self-originated.

One of the two men who killed Michael Jordan’s father nearly 30 years ago was granted parole on Tuesday.

 

Larry Demery — who was sentenced to life in prison in 1996 for the murder of James Jordan — will be a free man on Aug. 6, 2023, the North Carolina Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission announced on Twitter.

 

Then just shy of his 18th birthday, Demery and his partner-in-crime Daniel Green, also a teenager, came upon Jordan on July 23, 1993, as he napped in his car on the side of a North Carolina highway.

 

They shot the 56-year-old man and stole the cherry-red Lexus his basketball star son had recently bought him. His remains were found in a swampy area of McColl, South Carolina that August.

 

The murder was devastating for the NBA legend, who was extremely close to his father. He retired shortly after, though he said he’d already made the decision before the tragedy.

Both Demery and Green were convicted of first-degree murder — but accused each other of being the triggerman.

 

As part of a plea deal, Demery testified against Green at trial, saying he was the shooter. However, Green, who was also sentenced to life in prison, claimed Demery asked him to help dispose of Jordan’s body but that he wasn’t there during the killing.

 

The state’s current sentencing laws eliminates parole for crimes committed on or after Oct. 1, 1994. However, offenders sentenced under the previous guidelines are still eligible.

 

Demery’s release is contingent on him remaining in good standing as a prisoner. Green won’t be eligible for parole until October 2021, according to local outlet WRAL.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) featured Elizabeth Warren on its Native American panel Tuesday on the second day of its virtual convention.

Warren’s political career has been followed by controversy about her self-identification as a Cherokee Indian. For decades she justified her claim to Native American ancestry in the absence of any evidence because she had “high cheek bones like all of the Indians do.” The Massachusetts senator went as far as to contribute recipes to an Indian cookbook titled “Pow Wow Chow,” labeling herself as a Cherokee under each.

When gearing up for a presidential run in fall 2018, Warren released the results of a DNC test in an attempt to prove her ancestry after years of mockery from political rivals including President Donald Trump, who nicknamed the leftist senator “Pocahontas.”

The results failed to offer any proof of Warren descending from Native Americans, let alone the Cherokee tribe. The test merely revealed there was “strong evidence” to suggest she might have one Native American relative from six to 10 generations ago in her family history. Therefore, if she were to have a Native American relative, Warren would only be anywhere from 1/65 to 1/1,024 Native American, which is less than the average American today.

The Cherokee Nation, long offended by Warren’s ancestral claim to tribal ancestry, demanded Warren apologize in the aftermath of the test results and rescind her false assertions of blood association with the Native group. Warren has since apologized several times and said she no longer identifies as an American Indian. Yet still the DNC put her on its Native American panel today.

The GlycosideOleandrin Reduces Glioma Growth with Direct and Indirect Effects on Tumor Cells

 

Abstract

 

Oleandrin is a glycoside that inhibits the ubiquitous enzyme Na+/K+-ATPase. In addition to its known effects on cardiac muscle, recent in vitro and in vivo evidence highlighted its potential for anticancer properties. Here, we evaluated for the first time the effect of oleandrin on brain tumors. To this aim, mice were transplanted with human or murine glioma and analyzed for tumor progression upon oleandrin treatment. In both systems, oleandrin impaired glioma development, reduced tumor size, and inhibited cell proliferation. We demonstrated that oleandrin does the following: (1) enhances the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) level in the brain; (2) reduces both microglia/macrophage infiltration and CD68 immunoreactivity in the tumor mass; (3) decreases astrogliosis in peritumoral area; and (4) reduces glioma cell infiltration in healthy parenchyma. In BDNF-deficient mice (bdnftm1Jae/J) and in glioma cells silenced for TrkB receptor expression, oleandrin was not effective, indicating a crucial role for BDNF in oleandrin's protective and antitumor functions. In addition, we found that oleandrin increases survival of temozolomide-treated mice. These results encourage the development of oleandrin as possible coadjuvant agent in clinical trials of glioma treatment.

 

SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT In this work, we paved the road for a new therapeutic approach for the treatment of brain tumors, demonstrating the potential of using the cardioactive glycoside oleandrin as a coadjuvant drug to standard chemotherapeutics such as temozolomide. In murine models of glioma, we demonstrated that oleandrin significantly increased mouse survival and reduced tumor growth both directly on tumor cells and indirectly by promoting an antitumor brain microenvironment with a key protective role played by the neurotrophin brain-derived neurotrophic factor

But more than 31,000 non-wired accesses were made on devices lacking certificate authentication. “Without properly authenticating all devices, the IRS does not have adequate controls to ensure that only authorized devices are allowed access to its internal network and taxpayer data may be at risk,” the report reads.

 

The inspector general recommends IRS implement certificate-based authentication across all devices regardless of connection type, develop a plan to reduce the number of devices authenticated with a less-secure protocol and ensure Unified Access project is following the predetermined development methodology appropriately. The agency concurred with each point. According to a July 16 memorandum from IRS acting Chief Information Officer Nancy Sieger, which was attached to the audit, IRS implementation will begin as early as February 2021. Work on certifying devices using wireless connections is already underway. That is the piece of the puzzle set for implementation in February. But in order to implement certificate-based authentication for devices connecting over a VPN, IRS needs funding. The memo posits IRS will be able to ensure VPN device authentication by February 2022 should it receive the needed funds.

 

The other two recommendations indicate IRS should develop a plan to phase out devices that use a less secure authentication protocol, called Media Access Control Authentication Bypass, as well as course correct the Unified Access project to adhere to the appropriate development methodologies. The UA project is an IT security initiative that protects the network, assets and taxpayer data, according to the memo. The audit found development of the project isn’t following the Enterprise Life Cycle methodology. The ELC standard defines a software development path for commercial off-the-shelf solutions. “We are committed to implementing the corrective actions that will strengthen device authentication and completing all Enterprise Life Cycle required artifacts,” Sieger wrote in the memo.

While most of the world seems to be on lockdown, I wanted to share some travel stories with you.

 

And before you ask– yes, traveling is definitely possible during this time. And frankly it’s been pretty enjoyable.

 

Once I turned off the news and went outside, the first thing I noticed was that life is pretty much back to normal in many parts of the world.

 

I had the pleasure of spending the peak of the Covid-19 lockdown phase in Puerto Rico and after that I traveled to Chile, then to Europe, and now in Dubai.

 

The range of government restrictions in these places has been remarkable.

 

In Puerto Rico where I spent time with Simon at his home, life was normal-ish.

 

As Simon likes to say, Puerto Ricans don’t have much regard for their government, so most people have openly defied government rules about lockdowns, and most of those rules have loosened up anyhow.

 

Chile was the total opposite.

 

When I was there last month, the Chilean government had kept people in total lockdown. Chileans were allowed to leave their homes only twice each week, and they had to apply online for a special permit to do so.

 

From there I went to Europe where the situation is a lot more sensible. And from what I’ve seen, it all comes down to attitude.

 

In a lot of places (like parts of the US, Latin America, etc.) there are people who are terrified of Covid. And they believe the solution is to wait.

 

They think that if they sit in their homes and wait long enough, the virus will eventually die off and life go back to the way things used to be.

 

In Europe (and here in Dubai), people seem to have a longer term view.

 

They understand that Covid-19 is here to stay.

 

Even if a vaccine is developed, it will take YEARS before it’s properly tested, with billions of units manufactured and distributed around the world.

 

The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness has been marshaling manufacturing capacity worldwide in preparation to mass produce a Covid-19 vaccine.

 

But even their estimates are to be able to produce 2 billion vaccines by the end of next year.

 

That’s only 25% of the world’s population, and it’s still more than a year away. Wider adoption is going to take several more years.

 

So what’s the solution in the meantime– lock down every house, school, business, and church in the world? Cancel every performance and sporting event? Print infinite quantities of money to pay people to NOT work?

WASHINGTON — The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on Tuesday released its most comprehensive report yet on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, revealing new details about Russia’s attempts to disrupt the campaign and help elect Donald Trump.

 

The new report goes the furthest of any U.S. government document in debunking the viral conspiracy theory that a murdered Democratic National Committee staffer named Seth Rich played a part in the 2016 hacking and leaking of internal DNC documents later published by WikiLeaks. This baseless theory about Rich was stoked by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange during several interviews he gave in 2016. But the Senate intelligence committee’s new report found no evidence for this theory, describing Assange’s comments related to Rich as “disinformation” and a “conspiracy theory.”

 

The nearly thousand-page report is the result of years of work by a bipartisan team of Intelligence Committee staffers. Every Democratic and Republican senator who sits on the GOP-led committee — with the exception of Jim Risch, Republican of Idaho — endorsed the report, according to a spokeswoman for the committee’s top Democrat, Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.). (Risch explained his “no” vote but also concurred that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his underlings “conducted a calculated and despicable campaign to undermine the 2016 election for nefarious purposes.”)

 

As Rolling Stone recently reported, the baseless theories about Seth Rich became a global phenomenon thanks in large part to Fox News, which published an explosive story in May 2017 that claimed Rich — not Russian intelligence officers — was WikiLeaks’ source. Fox’s claims were repeatedly amplified by Sean Hannity, one of the most watched and influential cable news hosts in America, who said that if a “disgruntled” Democrat had leaked the DNC emails, it “could completely shatter the narrative that, in fact, WikiLeaks was working with the Russians,” and could also mean that Rich was murdered “under very suspicious circumstances.”

 

The Rich theories were also hyped on popular shows like Fox & Friends and by Fox talking heads such as former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who said on-air — without citing evidence — that Rich “apparently was assassinated at four in the morning, having given WikiLeaks something like 23,000 — I’m sorry — 53,000 emails and 17,000 attachments.”

 

But the veracity of Fox’s bombshell story immediately came into question, and a week later Fox News retracted it, saying the story “not initially subjected to the high degree of editorial scrutiny we require for all of our reporting.” Subsequent findings by the Trump-era Justice Department and congressional investigations led by Democrats and Republicans reaffirmed the conclusion that Russia carried out the DNC hack-and-leak operation. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report said WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange had made statements “designed to obscure” the source of the DNC leaks and of having “implied falsely” that Rich was his source.

TX Governor Proposal Would Financially Punish Cities That Defund Police

 

Before 'woke' city councils in Texas vote to defund their local police amid a far-left movement to eliminate law enforcement, local officials may want to wait and see if a new proposal by Governor. Greg Abbott (R) to cap property taxes grows legs.

Under new legislation introduced by Abbott, municipalities which defund police departments will be unable to raise revenues by raising property taxes, according to CBS Dallas.

 

"To maintain the safety that our communities deserve today we are announcing a legislative proposal that will discourage defunding law enforcement in Texas," said the governor during an afternoon press conference. "Any city that defunds police departments will have its property tax revenue frozen at the current level. They will ever be able to increase property tax revenue again if they defund police."

 

"Cities that endanger residents by reducing law enforcement should not then be able to turn around and go back and get more property tax dollars from those same residents whose lives the city just endangered," added Abbott.

 

The City of Austin voted to move some $21 million to fund local social services and community resources — including response to the coronavirus, mental health aid programs, violence prevention, victim services and food, housing and abortion access. Another $80 million is set to be redistributed to similar city services, and $49 million will be spent on the Austin Reimagine Safety Fund, which aims to provide alternative forms of public safety and community support besides policing.

 

During the Fort Worth press conference Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said, “When I think about what Austin has done… had any other mayor of any other city in Texas been as irresponsible as they have been they would have chaos and their citizens would be in danger. It is only because of our DPS force of state troopers, hundreds that came to the aid and recuse of APD, that Austin didn’t turn into a potential Seattle or Portland.” -CBS Dallas

The investigative agents, those who most people put their faith upon, are hampered by compartmentalized isolation of evidence. The system is purposefully set up that way.

Ex. HPSCI does not communicate w/Durham; at least they do not successfully communicate.

 

In part this is because the receiver would be accepting the political intents of the evidence.

 

Information, even valid evidence that would be useful for investigators, becomes useless when retrieved or originated from political entities

 

The result is actual Durham/Barr investigators do not know where most of the explosive evidence is located. This includes any documents that originate from inside this complemented process

 

As a result of this convoluted process; the Durham team knows little about any evidence their internal unit did not independently create.

 

This system design helps the compartmented and corrupt to escape accountability.

 

Durham investigators therefore do not have a handle over the totality of evidence that exists in the public sphere; because the public evidence exists as extracted from numerous individual compartments - some of which they do not / cannot peer into.

 

Previously both Senate and House staff admitted this was the fundamental flaw in their own investigations.

 

Additionally, this factual/structural flaw was confirmed to me today by the Durham investigative unit.

As a result… customary DOJ investigations can continue (ad infinitum) and yet will not result in substantive action prior to the election.
