Idahoโ€™s House of Representatives votes to end Coronavirus Emergency effective immediately

 

BOISE, Idaho โ€“ Today lawmakers in Idahoโ€™s House voted to advance a resolution that ends Idaho Governor Brad Littleโ€™s Coronavirus Emergency Declaration.

 

The resolution effectively lifts all restrictions across the state. Lawmakers voted and passed the resolution 48-20 amid a special session that the Governor called to deal with liability laws and mail-in voting concerns.

 

The resolution now heads to the Senate and if it passes the Governorโ€™s Emergency declaration, that he put in place back in March, is over.

LBMA-COMEX Collusion Intensifies As CME Mass Approves 267 LBMA Gold And Silver Bar Brands

 

In a move which has gone entirely unnoticed in the precious metals markets, but which signals gold and silver bar delivery constraints for the COMEX gold and silver futures contracts, Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME), operator of the New York based COMEX, has quietly and under the radar, hugely expanded its lists of eligible refinery gold and silver bar brands that can be delivered against the massively traded flagship GC 100 (100 oz gold) and SI (5000 oz silver) contracts.

 

These changes, which were implemented on 27 July and which are detailed below, also look to be serving an even bigger agenda of preparing for a radical change in the delivery procedures of these two famous contracts so as to facilitate gold and silver stored in London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) vaults in London, England, to be used in settlement against the GC 100 oz and the SI 5000 oz COMEX contracts. Note that the COMEX 100 oz gold futures contract is currently deliverable as either one 100 troy ounce gold bar, or three 1 kilo gold bars, while the COMEX 5000 oz silver futures contract is currently deliverable as five 1,000 troy ounce cast silver bars (with a weight tolerance of 10% either higher or lower).

 

To reiterate, these changes are to the gold and silver refiner brand lists of the big boy contracts GC 100 and SI. You may recall something similar happening for a new 4GC contract when it was rushed out in late March, but that was just a trial run. This is the main event.

 

From New York to London

 

As a reminder and as some background, CME (COMEX) and the LBMA began explicitly colluding on 24 March this year in an attempt to try to reign in the global precious metals markets following an Exchange for Physical (EFP) gold delivery failure in London which caused both a blow out between gold futures and gold spot spreads, as well as a bid-ask spread blowout in London spot gold, and which prompted the LBMA in a public statement to say that it had:

 

โ€œoffered its support to CME Group to facilitate physical delivery in New Yorkโ€

 

On the same day, 24 March, Reuters, the embedded LBMA mouthpiece, reported that:

 

โ€œThe LBMA and executives at major gold-trading banks asked CME to allow 400-ounce bars to be used to settle Comex contracts, said the two sources, both of whom were involved in the discussions.โ€

 

Again, on the same day, 24 March, the CME Group hurriedly launched a new gold futures contract called the โ€œGold (Enhanced Delivery) futures contractโ€ (ticker 4GC), a contract which is structured to allow delivery via 100 oz gold bars, or kilo gold bars, or 400 oz gold bars.

 

Notably, in the 4GC contract, a 400 oz gold bar can be delivered via โ€œAccumulated Certificates of Exchangeโ€ (ACEs), a fractional paper construct created by the CME to, in its words, โ€œfacilitate the conversion of 400 oz bars in fractional units which can be used for deliveryโ€ where โ€œthe Clearing House will issue four ACEs. Each ACE will represent an equal share of ownership of the larger bar.โ€

A stunning new report shows the February Biogen conference likely led to โ€œtens of thousandsโ€ of coronavirus infections โ€” making its way to homeless shelters and foreign countries โ€” an event even Gov. Charlie Baker said speaks to the power of COVID-19.

 

โ€œI was criticized, actually, for saying a few months ago that the Biogen event was a seminal event with respect to corona here in the Commonwealth,โ€ Baker said at a Tuesday press conference.

 

โ€œI do think it speaks to the power of that virus to move from one person to another to another,โ€ Baker said.

 

The report published Tuesday by the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT uses genetic fingerprints of COVID-19 to reconstruct events involved in an outbreak due to the unique sequencing errors that happen during virus replication.

 

The characteristic genome from the conference, called โ€œC2416Tโ€ was later found in places such as Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Australia, Sweden and Slovakia, according to the report, which has yet to be peer reviewed.

 

โ€œI think that any way you look at it, within Massachusetts, within the U.S., abroad, itโ€™s likely the impact of this event is measured in the tens of thousands of individuals,โ€ said Dr. Jacob Limeaux, lead author of the study and infectious disease physician at Massachusetts General Hospital.

 

The Biogen conference gathered 175 attendees, at least 100 of which were infected with coronavirus, fueling the Massachusetts outbreak and being dubbed a โ€œsuperspreadingโ€ event, defined in the paper as transmission of at least eight secondary infections from a single source.

 

The genome from the conference comprised nearly 3% of domestic and 1.7% of global coronavirus genomes collected via the GISAID global science initiative through June 28.

 

Researchers sequenced 722 genomes from the region and the data set includes nearly all confirmed early cases of the epidemic in Massachusetts through March 8.

 

A third of the genome sequences used in the study matched the sequence from the conference, according to the report, which never names Biogen specifically.

 

โ€œThis was a time when there wasnโ€™t an awareness of the role of physical distancing and the role of masking,โ€ Limeaux said.

 

He said in addition to the lack of awareness, the event happened early on in the pandemic when spread is exponential and attendees were very mobile, leading to increased transmission.

 

Limeaux said, โ€œIf it hadnโ€™t been this conference, it would have been a different event.โ€

 

The genome from the conference was also found in 55% of infected staff and guests of the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, leaving researchers wondering how the connection was made.

 

Dr. Matthew Fox, an epidemiology professor at Boston University, said superspreading events could continue to happen, but perhaps not on the same scale, โ€œIf you look at the way cases took off in the Sun Belt well after we were already past the height of things, itโ€™s certainly possible we could have these types of events.โ€

 

Dr. David Hamer, professor of global health and medicine at BU, highlighted a recent superspreader event at a wedding in Maine during which more than 50 people were infected, โ€œI think there are a number of events that have happened and are at risk for having happened.โ€

 

Biogen said in a statement, โ€œFebruary 2020 was nearly a half-year ago, and was a period when general knowledge about the coronavirus was limited. We were adhering closely to the prevailing official guidelines. We never would have knowingly put anyone at risk.โ€

Israel was to be a nation of priests, prophets, and missionaries to the world. Godโ€™s intent was for Israel to be a distinct people, a nation who pointed others towards God and His promised provision of a Redeemer, Messiah, and Savior. For the most part, Israel failed in this task. However, Godโ€™s ultimate purpose for Israelโ€”that of bringing the Messiah into the worldโ€”was fulfilled perfectly in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Undersea Vehicles

It is in the HIGH-TECHNOLOGY field associated with exploration in the deeper waters of the world's continental shelves that Canadians are probably best known - particularly in the design and construction of manned and remote-control undersea vehicles and systems. One of the most famous Canadian submersible builders (until it went into receivership in 1978) was International Hydrodynamics Co Ltd of Vancouver, which manufactured the Hyco family of manned submarines, named after signs of the zodiac. During its best year, 1976, Hyco employed 165 people, but a surplus of submersibles on the world market, coupled with a drastic cutback in North Sea operations by a major British customer, eventually contributed to the breakup of this innovative company.

 

Submersibles have been around for nearly 20 years, but only since the mid-1970s have remote-control vehicles (which do not require complex and expensive life-support systems) become sophisticated enough to challenge manned craft. Remotely operated submersibles, built by International Submarine Engineering Ltd of Port Moody, BC, are being used in the Far East, the North Sea, the Middle East and other oil-producing areas.

 

Founded by company president James McFarlane in 1974, when the field was still in its infancy, ISE had designed and built more than 158 systems by the end of 1987, mostly for export. ISE manufactures a family of submersibles, most of which are unmanned and controlled through cables by a surface operator. New technology is conceived and developed with breathtaking speed. Early remote-control submarines were equipped with cameras for PIPELINE inspection; modern computer-controlled machines can perform more complex tasks, including oil-rig inspections and underwater shackle-ups at depths exceeding 1000 m. On-board diagnostic apparatus on the latest models enables technicians at ISE's Port Moody laboratory to monitor the internal workings of a submersible operating from a drillship as far afield as Australia.

 

A vehicle, designed to support drilling to even greater depths (about 2500 m, a world record), was constructed at ISE in 1983. In 1987 it was adapted for depths of 5000 m. The first in a new generation of untethered submersibles known as ARCS (autonomous remotely controlled submersible) has also been developed by ISE.

 

In addition to manned and remote-control self-propelled submersibles, Canadian companies also design and manufacture towed underwater devices, designed to perform tasks ranging from location of enemy submarines to identification of shipwreck sites and of geological structures capable of containing hydrocarbon deposits. A leader in this field is Fathom Oceanology Ltd of Mississauga, Ontario, which has grown steadily since it was founded in 1978. Fathom's products include fish-shaped housings for detection packages and associated shipboard towing systems; drilling-rig accessories (eg, fairings for cables, pipes, drill risers) and SONAR domes for naval vessels and related marine equipment. The company's expertise extends beyond the purely mechanical side of underwater towing systems into microprocessing and electronics.

 

In 1986 Fathom exported about 75% of its sales, while the navies of North America and western Europe accounted for half of the company's revenues of $19.4 million. A towed system known as BATFISH, designed by the Bedford Institute of Oceanography and equipped to carry oceanographic-research instrument packages, is manufactured by Guildline Instruments Ltd of Smiths Falls, Ontario.

A young child was captured on video raising his fist in support of Black Lives Matter as protesters in Washington, D.C., on Monday targeted diners on restaurant patios, demanding that they show their support, according to videos on social media.

 

The young boy appeared to be accompanied by his mother, who also had her fist raised. A protester could be heard saying, โ€œGood job!โ€ to the child.

 

Shouts of โ€œNo justice no peace!โ€ were also heard in the background. The family was at the Jyoti Indian Cuisine restaurant on 18th Street Northwest.

Protesters were filmed on Monday interrupting diners seated on patios throughout the evening. They targeted a young white couple sitting on the patio at a Mexican restaurant who did not have their fists up, while other diners around them did.

 

Protesters were also filmed getting in the face of a white woman at another restaurant, shouting at her and chanting, โ€œWhite silence is violence!โ€ Her friend, seated at the same table, held her fist up.

 

Protesters in D.C. have increasingly been targeting diners at restaurants who, due to coronavirus restrictions, are being seated on patios.

 

The confrontations have led to at least one altercation between protesters and a white diner at a restaurant in Dupont Circle. Protesters labeled him a โ€œTrump hat,โ€ although he was not seen wearing a hat.

 

The diner shouted, โ€œGet out of our neighborhood!โ€ as protesters shouted and heckled him.

Lopez Rivera helped lead the Armed Forces of National Liberation, a Puerto Rican nationalist movement. The county is seeking legal action to prevent a private Reedley school from staying open. One supervisor says that is the wrong move.

 

Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., Fresno County, through its public health department, will ask for a temporary restraining order to prevent Immanuel Schools from in-person teaching.

 

โ€œImmanuel High School in Reedley is also doing their best to serve their students, their parents, and their faculty. For this reason, Iโ€™m opposed to the lawsuit that Fresno County has filed against them last week,โ€ Supervisor Steve Brandau said while meeting with the media in front of the Hall of Records.

 

Defying state and local health orders, the K-12 school opened for instruction on Aug. 13. It remained open as of Monday.

 

As of Saturday, Fresno County has reported 22,840 COVID cases, with more than 12,000 active. There have been 226 COVID-19 related deaths in the county since the beginning of the pandemic. The county reports 1,138 cases in Reedley.

 

Judge D. Tyler Tharpe will hear the countyโ€™s request to shut down in-person learning and activities at the school. He was appointed to the bench in 2006 by then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and was most recently elected for a six-year term last March.

Mar. 26, 2017 โ€“ Sciaky, a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI), and provider of metal 3D printing solutions, has announced that its Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) technology helped International Submarine Engineering (ISE) cut significant time and cost from the production of a titanium Variable Ballast (VB) tank versus the traditional manufacturing process.

 

ISE approached Sciaky after the closure of its former supplier, an overseas titanium forging facility that produced propellant tanks for the Russian space program. ISE did not want to risk further delays in its exploration plans, so it reached out to Sciaky, after learning that Sciaky had 3D printed titanium propellant tanks for Lockheed Martin Space Systems in 2015.

 

The engineers and project management team at Sciaky immediately put together an aggressive plan to produce a new titanium VB tank for ISE using Sciakyโ€™s EBAM 3D printing process. In the end, Sciaky helped ISE reduce production time from 16 weeks to 8 weeks, as well as reduce overall costs as compared to retooling with a new forging supplier. In addition, the VB tank created with Sciakyโ€™s EBAM process passed the same vigorous qualification testing as the tank previously created with the forging process. ISE now plans to 3D print other critical titanium parts with Sciakyโ€™s EBAM process.

 

The titanium VB tank is a sub-system of ISEโ€™s Arctic Explorer Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) class of vehicles. ISE previously built two Arctic Explorers for Natural Resources Canada/Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) to map the sea floor underneath the Arctic ice shelf in support of Canadaโ€™s claim under Article 76 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. The Arctic Explorer is the largest of the Explorer AUV class, measuring over seven meters (nearly 23 feet) long and weighing more than 2,000 kilograms (4409 pounds). It can be launched from a ship or through an ice-hole and the modular sections can be separated for transportation. Its unique VB system enables it to park on the sea floor or hold itself on the underside of the ice during missions. Rated to 5,000 meters (roughly 3.11 miles) depth, the Arctic Explorer is designed to remain underwater between missions for extended periods of time. A small Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) conducts all servicing and charging after the AUV is attached to a docking head.

I understand what it means to control how people think and as such, am well aware of what is going on, here and its potential.

 

I will simply state that they have never failed to instate their rule. They have only failed to maintain it. Now, they have the means to make it global.

I knew the year, the events today would happen, 15 years ago. When I say that it is the year that will determine the course of the next 20,000 years, I am not mistaken. Humanity either becomes unstoppably free or hopelessly enslaved depending upon what happens in the next 500-ish days.

Ammon Bundy arrested at Idaho Capitol, removed from Lincoln Auditorium

 

BOISE โ€” Idaho State Police troopers arrested Ammon Bundy at the Idaho Capitol late Tuesday afternoon, after he sat for several hours at the press desk in the Lincoln Auditorium, surrounded by a handful of supporters, and refused to leave.

 

Two others who refused to leave the Lincoln Auditorium were also arrested; all three face a charge of misdemeanor trespassing, according to ISP.

 

Bundy had led protesters who disrupted the special session of the Idaho Legislature for the past two days, and was in the auditorium for a committee hearing on a civil liability bill earlier in the day when two others were forcibly removed from the room after disrupting the proceedings.

 

When Bundy was arrested after 5 p.m., the hearing he had briefly attended was long over, and both the House and Senate had adjourned for the day.

 

Bundy refused to stand, so troopers handcuffed him to the chair in which he sat and rolled it out of the building, according to the release.

 

At least 30 Boise Police cars blocked off the streets in front of the state Capitol prior to the arrest.

 

Two other people, a man and a woman, also were arrested. As the woman was placed in a police car, she said she was worried she wouldn't be able to nurse her baby.

 

A small crowd shouted at police at the police officers who were leaving after Bundy's arrest.

 

Around 4 p.m., Bundy told the Idaho Press he was upset about "citizen journalists," one of them representing Health Freedom Idaho, being removed from the hearing earlier, and went and sat at the press desk himself in protest. "I'm going to sit right here," he said.

 

Troopers were clearing the hearing room at the order of Speaker of the House Scott Bedke, according to ISP. All but three of the roughly 18 people in the auditorium voluntarily left the room.

 

On Monday, Bundy testified against proposed civil liability waiver legislation, telling the House Judiciary Committee, โ€œThe Idaho people are more than capable of keeping themselves safe. โ€ฆ We the people are tired. We are tired of government force, and we will only take it for so long. I recommend you act wisely, because we will not live in fear.โ€

 

On Monday morning, Bundy and his supporters burst into the House gallery, scuffling with police in the process and smashing the glass in a door from the Capitol rotunda to the gallery. They then filled the gallery in defiance of social distancing guidelines. No arrests were made Monday.

 

Idaho State Police troopers on Tuesday afternoon removed multiple people from a House Judiciary hearing as an unruly atmosphere persisted during the Idaho Legislatureโ€™s special session called to address coronavirus topics. Some people who were not credentialed media members sat in seats designated for press members only. Police escorted at least one from the room in handcuffs.

 

One of them, Bryan Bowermaster, 33, of Boise, told the Idaho Press heโ€™d been cited for trespassing and shared a copy of the citation. He said he was an independent journalist. He was released after he was cited.

 

In a video posted to Facebook โ€” which runs for almost an hour โ€” Bowermaster filmed himself asking elected officials why he wasnโ€™t allowed to sit in the reserved seats, then expressing indignation when he was told he had to register for a press tag.

 

The room erupted into shouts of โ€œNurembergโ€ and โ€œHow dare you?โ€ and โ€œWe were following ordersโ€ as Bowermaster was led out of the room in handcuffs.

 

Bowermaster declined an interview with the Idaho Press but did offer a quote.

Homeland Security Investigations child exploitation case results in guilty plea

 

TACOMA - A registered sex offender currently jailed in Skamania County pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Tacoma to production of child pornography, announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcementโ€™s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Acting Special Agent in Charge Eben Roberts and U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran. Steven Lee McBride, 51, faces a mandatory minimum 15-years in prison when sentenced by U.S. District Judge Benjamin H. Settle on Oct. 26. Under the terms of the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend no more than 25-years in prison, and the defense will recommend no less than 18 years in prison. Judge Settle is not bound by the recommendations and can impose any sentence up to the maximum of 30 years in prison.

 

According to records filed in the case, in 2007, McBride was convicted in Idaho of molesting two children under the age of 16 and was required to register as a sex offender following a state prison term of up to 15-years. Upon release from prison, McBride moved to a residence in Skamania County. There he moved next door to a distant relative and befriended that neighborโ€™s child. Between September 2017 and May 2019, McBride made sexually explicit images of the child by hiding a camera in the bathroom, molesting the child while the child slept and ultimately by posing as a school friend of the child online to demand the child send sexually explicit images. McBride threatened to kill the childโ€™s family if the child did not continue to provide the photos.

 

Law enforcement learned of the production of child pornography when investigators in Queensland, Australia became aware of McBride providing sexually explicit images online in their jurisdiction. An undercover officer contacted McBride and got additional information about the identity of the victim from McBride. The Vancouver Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations moved quickly to alert the victimโ€™s parent and arrest McBride on June 7, 2019.

 

McBride is charged in Skamania County Superior Court for the hands-on molestation. Under the terms of the plea agreement his state and federal sentences will run concurrently.

 

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations with assistance from the Vancouver Police Department and the Queensland Australia Police.

 

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Angelica Williams.

Trump Is the Only One Providing COVID Reliefโ€”and Frustrated Americans, Including Democrats, Know It

 

Executive orders are generally not very popular among Conservatives. The exception could be when they slash needless regulations that put burdens on individuals or the economy. Undoing a predecessorโ€™s executive overreach is usually applauded. Unfortunately, due to Democratsโ€™ unyielding stonewalling on a COVID relief package, President Trump had little choice.

 

In many ways, Congress is just broken. It has become so hyperpartisan that party-line votes are the norm. This pattern is especially evident in an election year where Democrats donโ€™t want to provide the president a win he can campaign on. Likewise, President Trump and the Senate Majority will not allow Speaker Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to put long-sought goodies into unrelated legislation.

 

This goal was apparent in the recent COVID relief negotiations. Democrats wanted money for their supporters in the American Postal Workers Union, mail-in voting, ballot harvesting, and even a repeal of the SALT cap all tucked into a COVID relief package.

 

The Democrat caucus played the same game back in March. In negotiations, they got several items for their base and supporters due to the urgency of assisting families and businesses in the face of the pandemic. This time President Trump and Mitch McConnell were not going to play. Hospitals had not spent all of the money allocated previously, and blue-state governors and mayors were pressuring their members to ensure excessive levels of relief to cover decades of fiscal mismanagement.

When negotiations on the new package failed, and the House adjourned, President Trump issued a narrow executive order. It provided a payroll tax holiday for low- and middle-income workers, extended unemployment benefits with a $400 enhancement, and offer federal eviction and student loan relief through the end of the year.

 

Despite many commentators saying the president is on shaky legal ground with these orders, he is not in trouble with voters. A new Hill-HarrisX poll shows 68% of Americans support the executive orders. Many have noted that this includes 90% of Republicans, who are generally critical of questionable executive actions. Perhaps they have just had it with an ineffective Congress that appears to put partisan priorities ahead of the needs of struggling Americans.

 

Also, the orders had a 73% approval among independents and 45% among Democrats. Given that President Trump typically grabs less than 20% of Democrats in his daily approval ratings, it appears Pelosi and Schumer might have seriously overestimated their leverage on this issue. The president gave voters what they need, clearly and concisely. It seems most Americans were tired of the haggling.

Trump and the RNC need to capitalize on this approval and explain why the order was necessary through November. The simple truth is that Democrats placed their political priorities over the needs of their constituents to weather the lingering effects of the pandemic. Republicans wanted a narrow bill focused on families and businesses. There is a compelling story that helps expose the Democratsโ€™ strategy of never letting a crisis go to waste in pursuit of power.

Shots fired at Trump supporters, including children, who were just waving flags in South Carolina

 

Police arrested a 23-year-old suspect

 

Supporters of President Donald Trump said that shots were fired at them from a vehicle as they were waving flags during a public political demonstration.

 

The incident unfolded Monday evening in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

 

The Fort Mill Police Department said in a statement posted to its Facebook page that the officers were called to the demonstration at about 6:50 p.m.

 

Demonstrators told them that three men in a vehicle drove by their group several times and yelled obscenities at them. They claimed that the driver of the vehicle extended his hand out with what appeared to be a gun and they heard gunshots ring out.

 

"All of a sudden you know bang bang bang bang bang bang bang," Matthew Ostrowski said to WBTV.

 

"It was ridiculous. There were kids everywhere," he added. "They drove by really slow and saw everybody, so they knew exactly who was there."

 

Later a highway patrol officer found the vehicle abandoned nearby. Police stopped a second car driving in the vicinity of the first car when the trooper noticed one of the riders wore clothing that matched the description they were given by witnesses.

 

Police say two of the men in the second car were released after an investigation, but a third, 23-year-old Marquise Damarius Asomani from Charlotte, was arrested.

 

They charged him with six counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, one count of unlawful carrying of a pistol, one count of pointing and presenting firearms at a person, and one count of possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

 

He was placed under a $75,000 bond and held at the York County Detention Center.

'This energizes me more'

 

Ostrowski said that the incident didn't intimidate him and the others in the group, instead they drew strength and inspiration from the alleged attack.

 

"If anything this energizes me more and after this incident," he said. "It's done the same for many many people."

 

But others, like Lindsey Portugal, said that the alarming incident was discouraging.

 

"I think it's sad honestly that we're showing support for the president and you have to be nervous about somebody coming and doing this," she said. "I mean that's just discouraging."

US AFRICOM Conducts Airstrike Targeting Senior Leader of al-Shabaab in Somalia

 

US Africa Command (AFRICOM) announced on Tuesday it had carried out an airstrike against a senior leader of the Islamist militant group al-Shabaab.

 

According to a news release, AFRICOM carried out an airstrike near the southern Somali town of Saakow, in Somalia's Middle Juba region, which it said was believed to have killed one terrorist.

 

The Germany-based command announced just five days earlier another airstrike targeting another member of al-Shabaab alleged to have been making explosives to be placed by roadsides. That strike was assessed not to have killed any civilians, just as the Tuesday attack was.

US suspends military support to Mali after coup dโ€™รฉtat

 

The United States has suspended all cooperation with Maliโ€™s military following the overthrow of the Malian president by army officers, the U.S. envoy to West Africaโ€™s Sahel region said on Friday. This comes despite thousands of Malians celebrating the overthrow in the streets of the capital of Bamako.

 

U.S. envoy J. Peter Pham told the press that the U.S. condemns the overthrow of President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. Yet he specified that a decision on whether to formally designate the actions as a coup had to go through a legal review.

 

โ€œLet me say categorically there is no further training or support of Malian armed forces full-stop. We have halted everything until such time as we can clarify the situation,โ€ Pham said to the media.

 

Phamโ€™s comments are important since if Washington were to officially designate Keitaโ€™s overthrow as a coup, that could result in a total cut-off of direct support to the Malian government. A Pentagon spokesperson referred on Friday to the removal of Keita as an โ€œact of mutiny.โ€

 

The U.S regularly trains troops and officers of the Malian military, including some of the officers involved in the coup against President Keita.

 

But the more important factor at play here is the intelligence support that the U.S. furnishes the French-led coalition, which includes Mali, in the ongoing and bloody fight against Islamic jihadists. Most of the American support stems from neighboring Niger where the U.S. operates drones from Air Base 201.

That takes on faith that the plan has the goal of freedom in mind.

Consider that the people flooding to vote republican, while making an understandable and sane choice - are also being herded.

This may be for the better - but the stupidity of the democrats is outright stunning.

Someone was propping them up - and has now abandoned them, and anyone who was able to make the democrats appealing was also capable of understanding the consequences of abandoning them to their fate - meaning the destruction of the democrats now favors their agenda.

 

IE - someone wants us to flee into the apparent safety of the republican party for the moment and I am extremely suspicious as to why. What is occurring at the moment is not necessarily an awakening, but a reaction to fear.

 

That doesn't mean voting for the democrats is therefore the correct option, or a third party.

What I ask is why we are not marching these tech giants in front of the gallows and the owners of central banks.

 

There is no more staunch defense of corporatism than republicans. There is no one more condescending toward the younger generations than republicans. They will gladly see employment turn into slavery under the belief that they worked hard and the younger generations don't know what hard work is.

And while some of that is true - there are many hard workers who are destined for financial ruin no matter what actions they take.

Nepotism has usurped egalitarianism in our society and the republicans are generally the most blind to it while launching rabid defenses of corporate exploitation of society.

On Tuesday evening, CNN reported that the Republican National Convention has abruptly removed Trump adviser and โ€œAngel Momโ€ Mary Ann Mendoza from the nightโ€™s speaking lineup.

 

This comes after Mendoza posted her support from a thread written by a QAnon supporter positing a Jewish conspiracy to take over the world.

China released the coronavirus sometime in late 2019. By early March China was pushing countries around the globe to put in place economic shutdowns similar to what the CCP did in Wuhan. They clearly wanted the world to suffer economically from the virus.

John Ratcliffe: Unmatched 'national security threat' posed by China includes election interference

 

China poses a greater national security challenge to the United States than any other country, including when it comes to possible election interference, according to Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe. With the Nov. 3 presidential election fast approaching, a senior U.S. counterintelligence official warned earlier this month that Russia is actively trying to denigrate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. That same statement also said China "prefers" Trump not win reelection and that Beijing views him as being more "unpredictable." That counterintelligence official said China is "expanding its influence efforts ahead of November 2020" but seemed to describe China's efforts as being mostly rhetorical in nature. But in a statement given to the Washington Examiner, Ratcliffe, a former Texas Republican congressman who has overseen the nationโ€™s 17 intelligence agencies since May, amplified the sense of urgency felt by the Trump administration to counter the broad reach of the Chinese Community Party's efforts to disrupt an unfavorable status quo. โ€œChina poses a greater national security threat to the U.S. than any other nation โ€” economically, militarily and technologically,โ€ Ratcliffe said. โ€œThat includes threats of election influence and interference.โ€

 

He said China's is "concerned" that Trump being reelected would "lead to a continuation of policies that they perceive to be 'anti-China.'" Ratcliffe did not mention how Biden, a former vice president, is viewed in Beijing as an alternative U.S. leader. In the Democratic Party platform for 2020, there is some talk about standing up to China on issues such as the economy, intellectual property, and human rights. They also make the case that Trump had perpetrated a "trade war" with China that he never planned on winning. Trump has aggressively assigned blame to China for the coronavirus health crisis, as the outbreak has been traced back to the Chinese city of Wuhan and the Chinese government has been criticized for covering up the outbreak early in the pandemic. The president also pointed to the early August warning by the U.S. intelligence community, arguing that the Chinese "own" Biden, and if he is elected, "China will own our country." Beyond just talk, the Trump administration has ramped up penalties against China in recent months, including sanctions against Chinese Communist Party leaders in Hong Kong and against Chinese officials complicit in alleged human rights abuses against the Uighur Muslims and other religious and ethnic minorities in the Xinjiang region of western China. Trump also signed executive orders that could effectively ban Chinese-owned TikTok and WeChat from operating in the U.S. The statement released by National Counterintelligence and Security Center Director Bill Evanina in early August, which mentioned Beijing's preference for Trump to lose the 2020 election, discussed what considerations are being taken by China as the U.S. ratchets up the pressure. โ€œAlthough China will continue to weigh the risks and benefits of aggressive action, its public rhetoric over the past few months has grown increasingly critical of the current administrationโ€™s COVID-19 response, closure of Chinaโ€™s Houston Consulate, and actions on other issues. For example, it has harshly criticized the administrationโ€™s statements and actions on Hong Kong, TikTok, the legal status of the South China Sea, and Chinaโ€™s efforts to dominate the 5G market," Evanina said. The Chinese Communist Party โ€œrecognizes that all of these effortsโ€ could affect the presidential election, Evanina added.

 

Meanwhile the Trump administration is not sitting idly by. Ratcliffe said he is โ€œcommitting the IC resources needed to fully understand the threat posed by China and provide U.S. policymakers with the best intelligence to counter Chinaโ€™s broad and deep malign activitiesโ€ and noted that โ€œweโ€™ve briefed hundreds of members of Congress to raise our concerns about China and its increased efforts to impact the U.S. policy climate in its favor.โ€ He also stressed that โ€œfree and fair elections are a bedrock of American democracy, and the IC remains vigilant against the various activities by China, as well as other threat countries and actors, which seek to affect" the U.S. election process.
