Messenger RNA (mRNA) has several advantages over DNA for gene transfer and expression, including the lack of any requirement for nuclear localization or transcription and the nearly negligible possibility of genomic integration of the delivered sequence. However, the labile nature of mRNA and its capacity to elicit innate immune responses are important limitations to its in vivo application. Now, an article by Kormann et al.1 published in Nature Biotechnology addresses these drawbacks and provides new hope for the potential use of mRNA as a source of therapeutic gene product in vivo.

The perfect terrorist attack

 

Movie Plot Threat-

Mission: Terrorize Americans. Neutralize American Economy, Make America feel completely vulnerable, and all Americans unsafe. (Power grid + populace threat)

Scene 1

A rented van drives from Spokane, Wa to a remote setting in Idaho and loads up with shoulder mounted rocket launchers and a couple of people dressed in fatigues.

Scene 2

Terrorists dressed in β€œdelivery man” garb take over the UPS cargo depot at the Spokane, Wa airport. A van full of explosives is unloaded at the depot.

Scene 3

Terrorists dressed in β€œdelivery man” garb take over the UPS cargo depot at the

Kamloops, BC, airport. A van full of explosives is unloaded at the depot.

Scene 4

A van with mercenaries drives through the Idaho forests enroute to an unknown destination. Receives cell communiquΓ© that locations Alpha and Bravo are secured.

Scene 5

UPS cargo plane lands in Kamloops and is met at the deopt by terrorists who overtake the plane and its crew. Explosives are loaded aboard the aircraft.

The same scene plays out in Spokane moments later, and that plane is loaded with explosives.

Two pilots board each of the cargo planes and ask for takeoff instructions as night falls across the West.

Scene 6

Two cargo jets go airborne from two separate locations.

A van with four terrorists arrives at their destination, parked on an overlook ridge just after nightfall. They use infrared glasses to scope the target. The camera pans down and away from the van, exposing the target. Grand Coulee dam.

The cell phone rings and notification comes to the leader that β€œNighthawks alpha and bravo have launched”.

I agree re the food…with ONE caveat…absolutely no one is forcing American mouths o0pen and shoving that poison food in their mouths. My dad worked full time, (lots of OT too) mom stayed home..dinner every night was comprised of the fruits of our own labor…yep…when working so hard my daddy also found time to till the backyard half acre garden and work the acre garden at my grand parent's farm.. Our meet came from a cow we slaughtered once a year from the farm…did you know you can do the same thing? buy a share in a cow? Have a garden? That’s what chip designer Arm is promising, with the company this week unveiling a new prototype plastic-based microchip named PlasticARM

 

This isn’t the first flexible chip we’ve seen, but it is the most complex. PlasticARM contains a 32-bit Cortex-M0 CPU (the cheapest and simplest processor core in Arm’s Cortex-M family), as well as 456 bytes of ROM and 128 bytes of RAM. It’s comprised of over 18,000 logic gates, which Arm says is at least 12 times more than the previous plastic-based chip.

 

The chip was designed in coordination with flexible electronics maker PragmatIC, and as the company’s designers explain in a paper published in Nature, it doesn’t yet have the same functionality of silicon-based designs. For example, it’s only capable of running a trio of test programs hardwired into its circuits during fabrication, though Arm’s researchers say they’re working on future versions that will allow new code to be installed.

 

What makes PlasticARM and similar chips so special is their use of flexible components; in this case, metal-oxide thin-film transistors or TFTs. These can be printed onto surfaces that bend and flex without degrading, unlike processors based on brittle silicon substrates. This makes it possible to cheaply print processors onto materials like plastic and paper.

 

As Arm’s researchers explain in their paper, this would allow microchips to be put to all sorts of uses that would seem wasteful today. You might have chips printed into every milk bottle for example that detect spoilage, replacing the use of sell-by-dates. Arm says this will create a new β€œinternet of everything,” with chips integrated into β€œmore than a trillion inanimate objects over the next decade.”

 

Plastic-based chips have major drawbacks, though, and will certainly not replace silicon processors in the short term. They’re simply too inefficient in terms energy consumption, density, and performance. PlasticARM consumes 21 milliwatts of power, for example, but 99 percent of that is essentially wasted, with only 1 percent captured for computation. The chip is also comparatively large, with an area of 59.2 square millimeters. As noted by AnandTech, that’s around 1,500 times the size of a silicon-based Cortex M0 processor.

Going back to my story…

About 3 months ago, I was invited to participate in a ZOOM call, hosted by the Club of Rome. The former president of BOLIVIA was the main speaker.

Alexander Kolodin, amicus attorney in the the Senate case against the Maricopa County Supervisors, spoke with Gail Golec about the best course of action for Senate subpoena enforcement.

 

Kolodin recommends the Senate file a fresh subpoena enforcement action for the withheld items with the Arizona Supreme Court. He noted that there is β€œplenty of case law out there that legislative subpoenas are enforceable by the judiciary.” Kolodin points out that the AZ Supreme Court is β€œfairly conservative and likely to have a favorable view of legislative supremacy.”

 

Another option would be to go through the Arizona Attorney General. The AG’s office can be forced to investigate if a member of the AZ State Legislature makes a report that includes allegations of illegal conduct by a county.

 

Toward the end of the conversation, Kolodin also discusses the path for retroactive action with respect to the election. While the state legislature can and should hold a decertification vote, it will be up to the courts or Congress to actually reverse the election, according to Kolodin.

  1. If the court agrees with the audit findings, the AZ House and Senate will put up a resolution to decertify the election. However, decertification would require a majority vote in both the House and Senate, which would require the cooperation of RINOs Paul Boyer and Rusty Bowers.

 

  1. If fraud is suspected, the Senate will turn the case over to the Attorney General for prosecution.

 

  1. Senator Fann explains that the Senate does not have the power to issue a warrant to retrieve the missing items as suggested by Josh Barnett. Section 2D of the Senate rules states that a warrant may be issued for payment of a bill or after a resolution of contempt has passed. Boyer blocked the contempt resolution on February 8th.

 

  1. According to Senator Fann, the options available to the Senate to acquire the missing items are:
