Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky says the federal health agency is working quickly on a COVID-19 vaccine for younger children between the ages of 5 and 11.

β€œWe’re waiting for the companies to submit the data to the FDA, we’re anticipating that will happen in the fall,” she told the β€œToday Show” on Sept. 13. β€œWe will look at that data from the FDA, from the CDC, with the urgency that we all feel for getting our kids vaccinated and we’re hoping by the end of the year.”

Her comments contrast with health advisory panels in several other countries, including the United Kingdom, that haven’t recommended COVID-19 shots for children aged 5 to 11. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted emergency authorization to vaccinate children aged 12 to 17.

Last week, FDA executives, including Acting Commissioner Janet Woodcock and Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research chief Peter Marks, said in a statement that the agency will carefully look at data for younger children once it becomes available.

The officials said the FDA is then β€œprepared to complete its review as quickly as possible, likely in a matter of weeks rather than months,” adding that β€œthe agency’s ability to review these submissions rapidly will depend in part on the quality and timeliness of the submissions by manufacturers.”

Should the CDC hand down a recommendation that younger children get vaccinated, it’s likely that some school districts will mandate them for in-person classes. Already, the Los Angeles Unified School District last week voted to mandate vaccines for children aged 12 and up in order to attend classes on campus.

But in other countries, some officials have noted that children have an extremely low risk of becoming seriously ill, hospitalized, or dying from COVID-19, the illness caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

The UK Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) earlier in September said it will take a β€œprecautionary approach,” saying that β€œgiven this very low risk, considerations on the potential harms and benefits of vaccination are very finely balanced.”

In June, scientists from University College London, as well as the Universities of York, Bristol, and Liverpool, discovered that most children who died of COVID-19 had underlying health problems. Overall, the COVID-19 mortality rate among children is 2 deaths per 1 million children in England, they found.

β€œWe hope this data will be reassuring for children and young people and their families,” said Dr. Elizabeth Whittaker, from the Centre for Paediatrics and Child Health and Imperial College London, reported the BBC. She said that even after the emergence of the Delta variant, it hasn’t affected the child mortality rate.

Everyone agrees the level of antibodies from the vaccines wanes over time, but there is disagreement over whether approving a third shot is necessary right now, given the other layers of protection from the vaccines and the mildness of most breakthrough infections. Several countries have already approved booster shots for the general population, and Israel is preparing to offer some people a fourth shot.

But in the U.S., the White House COVID-19 task force and FDA "have repeatedly accused CDC of withholding critical data needed to develop the booster shot plan," Politico reports. Some CDC officials view the White House timeline on booster approval as unrealistic.

The "FDA's frustrations with CDC are longstanding and predate the pandemic," Politico notes, but the two agencies are "trying to align" better, especially after the departure of two top FDA vaccine regulators, Marion Gruber and Philip Krause. "The pair announced their retirements this month, in a move that one former official attributed to frustrations with CDC's role in the booster plan."

But Krause and Gruber were among a group of international scientists who argued in British journal The Lancet on Monday that it is premature to offer everyone booster shots.

Universal booster shots may be needed eventually, the Lancet group wrote, but right now other parts of the immune system revved up by the vaccines, like T-cells and memory B cells, are providing really robust protection even as antibody levels decline. They also suggested there could be adverse reactions from repeated vaccinations, and argued that vaccines would be better used to immunize people around the world with no access.

Georgetown University's Larry Gostin said the Lancet paper "throws gasoline on the fire" in the booster shot debate, but the FDA shrugged it off. "We are in the middle of a deliberative process of reviewing Pfizer's booster shot supplemental approval submission," the FDA said, and "as noted in the article, the views of the authors do not represent the views of the agency."

It happened again yesterday, twice. Reading through comments on a blog post I found this: "I will never trust another doctor again." I long ago lost count of the number of times I have seen that written.

You hear it, too. In private conversations with people they trust, American citizens are heaping contempt on doctors for forcing a narrative on us that had no basis in science. Many of us, perhaps even the majority, immediately recognized this virus for what it is – a common flu virus maybe engineered to be more contagious if not more fatal but hardly differing substantially from other influenza strains. We have lived with seasonal flu all our lives. We saw no reason to fear it until the medical community, and Anthony Fauci specifically, started telling lies.

And once the lies started, they never stopped. From a trickle "It's going to make everyone sick" to the massive flood of lies about masks, "vaccines," effective treatments, "We're all going to die!" and even rigging the numbers to prove those lies, this scam has been one continual government operation. It was exploited to allow for the theft of the 2020 election by means of mail-in ballots. Having accomplished that, its purpose now is to keep the knee of government firmly on the population's neck.

It seems that our doctors went along with the hoax to a large degree because it put them in the spotlight. Amazingly, almost none of them questioned the lies. They abandoned everything they'd learned in Virology 101 and went full wolf-cry. It worked out well for them. Suddenly they were the focus of attention and their words were hung on breathlessly. They soaked it up, reveled in it, strutted down the halls in their white coats and followed the diktats of D.C. religiously. Many of them went even further. They wrote scholarly articles promoting the fairy tale and hectoring us peons on how to behave. Masks and social distancing laughable advice in the face of reality became the ironclad rule. They lied, too, in order to promote their own importance. They refused to see patients unmasked, treated the sick in their parking lots, abandoned patients' follow-up care, delayed needed tests and surgery endlessly, and generally ignored the hell they were putting the rest of us through. Is that even possible now? Because in the cold light of day it looks like they were either stupid or malevolent. Given that they're supposed to be educated people, malevolent appears to be the more likely. And that is terrifying, when you consider they now want to inject every last one of us with an unproven substance that may be causing more illness than the virus itself and they are willing to destroy our lives and job to make that happen. Was this the goal all along?

Americans have been suspicious of the COVID narrative from the get-go. Time has proven them right. Having come from a long line of doctors and nurses, I am appalled at how the medical community has promoted COVID and continues to do so in the face of proof they're lying. Considering the number of times I've heard, "I'll never trust another doctor again" I believe we've reached a watershed moment with respect to medical care. The unique trust we placed in our doctors is gone, deservedly so.

Our doctors in the field could have saved us from this disaster. They should have stood up to Anthony Fauci, who may well be evil personified. Instead, they were complicit in the hoax. They furthered the lie because it made them powerful.

We have lost eighteen months of our lives and appear to have no future without COVID lies. Americans now know that. The rage at the medical community is every bit as white hot as that against politicians. Get ready for the pushback, doctors. You asked for it and it's coming. If you think we're going to kiss those eighteen months goodbye without a backward glance you are sadly mistaken. We are no longer afraid. We are furious.

65 percent of the respondents said they would consider quitting the force if the city were to impose a requirement. However, an alarming 45 percent said they would rather be fired than comply with the mandate.

 

The SDPOA has 1,971 members. According to the San Diego Union Tribune, half of those officers are not vaccinated. If that half of the entire police department were to be fired for non-compliance with the vaccine mandate, the city of San Diego would be in a really sketchy place. The city has a deadline for compliance on November 2nd.

 

We can imagine this same type of conversation is likely taking place in several cities and counties at the same time. The police officers union was not present for the discussions with the Biden White House. The US Postal Workers Union was present, and they were granted an exemption from the forced vaccine requirement.

A recently resurfaced video showing late Senator John McCain warning colleagues of an β€œunqualified” and β€œdangerous” Antony Blinken, who served as deputy national security advisor under President Barack Obama at the time, specifically blasting Blinken’s desire to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

 

The nearly two-minute clip, which comprises excerpts from December 2014, depicts McCain approaching the Senate floor to oppose Blinken’s nomination as deputy secretary of state.

 

β€œMadam President, I rise to discuss my opposition to the pending vote concerning Mr. Anthony β€˜Tony’ Blinken, who is not only unqualified, but, in fact, in my view, one of the worst selections of a very bad lot that this president has chosen,” McCain began.

 

β€œI hope that many of my colleagues will understand that not often do I come to the floor to oppose a nomination of the president of the United States because I believe that elections have consequences,” he continued.

 

McCain is also seen slamming Blinken, deeming the then-deputy national security advisor a danger to the United States.

 

β€œIn this case, this individual has actually been dangerous to America and to the young men and women who are fighting and serving it,” he said.

 

McCain also noted Blinken’s role in β€œconceptualizing and furthering” a failed foreign policy.

 

β€œU.S. foreign policy is in shambles,” he said. β€œIt’s at best a strategic, and at worst, anti-strategic.”

 

Quoting Blinken himself, McCain then described his concerns that the then-Obama official would push for a complete withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, leading to a β€œreplay” of war-scarred Iraq:

 

β€œI’ll move on to Afghanistan. Mr. Blinken said, β€˜We’ve been very clear, we’ve been consistent. The war will be concluded by the end of 2014. Seven years after McCain’s opposition to Blinken’s nomination, the latter serves as Secretary of State, with many claiming the events from this week proved the necessity of McCain’s warning.

 

Blinken has come under fire from critics in recent days for the country’s lack of preparation and foresight when withdrawing troops this week that saw the Taliban’s rapid reconquest of Afghanistan.

 

On Thursday, a classified State Department memo from last month was revealed to have warned Blinken and other top officials of a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan following a U.S. troop withdrawal, indicating that the Biden administration was well aware of the strong possibility of the collapse of Kabul that occurred earlier this week.
