US military probes cancer cases at nuclear missile base

 

A number of officers who had worked at the site ended up being diagnosed with lymphoma, one of whom has died

 

The US military is probing nine blood cancer cases among officers who worked decades ago atMalmstrom Air Force Base, a major nuclear missile site in the state of Montana. The investigation was first reported by AP on Monday and confirmed by Pentagon officials.

 

All of the afflicted officers had been serving at the silos of the base, home to some 150 Minuteman III nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles, as many as 25 years ago. The diagnosis in each case wasnon-Hodgkin lymphoma, while one of the officers has succumbed to the illness.

 

“There are indications of a possible association between [this] cancer and missile combat crew service at Malmstrom AFB,”Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Sebeck said in the slides presented at a military briefing earlier in January and cited by the news agency.

 

“Missileers have always been concerned about known hazards, such as exposure to chemicals, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, lead and other hazardous material in the work environment,” he stated.

 

The “disproportionate number of missileers presenting with cancer, specifically lymphoma”was particularly concerning, Sebeck added. The issue is important to the Space Force because as many as 455 former missileers are now serving with the Space Force, including four individuals diagnosed with lymphoma.

 

Reached by AP for comment, Sebeck declined to elaborate further on the probe, noting only that the slides were “predecisional.”Meanwhile, Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek confirmed that “senior leaders are aware of the concerns raised about the possible association of cancer related to missile combat crew members at Malmstrom AFB."

 

“The information in this briefing has been shared with the Department of the Air Force surgeon general and our medical professionals are working to gather data and understand more,” she added.

 

Given that only some 400 officers are believed to work with siloed missiles at the base at any one time, the rates of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in them appear to be way above what is registered in the general population. According to the American Cancer Society, the illness afflicts only some 19 people out of every 100,000 across the US annually.

Wagner founder outlines his view on US hostility

The Russian firm is a "vice squad" pitted against American gangsters, Yevgeny Prigozhin told RT

 

The Wagner Group scares the US because it is willing to stand up to American bullying around the world, the private military company’s founder Yevgeny Prigozhin claimed on Monday, answering a question from RT.

 

Washington said last week that it would designate the Russian PMC as an international criminal organization, accusing it of “widespread atrocities and human rights abuses.”

 

“Unlike America’s paramilitary forces,”Prigozhin said in a written response to RT, “the Wagner PMC eliminates only enemies of peace and commits no crimes. Of course, if you employ double standards, you can dig up dirt on anyone."

 

The US is the only country to use nuclear weapons in history, and “organized wars and revolutions” in “Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Mozambique, Central Africa and so on,” Prigozhin noted, adding that in some of those countries Wagner came in and “put an end to these wars with an iron fist”

 

Calling the US “powerful crime syndicate, which lives on the money of the whole world,”Prigozhin said Wagner was “more like the vice police” by comparison.

 

Washington trained “outlaws and terrorists all over the world so that there would be trouble everywhere –” while the “dreamy blue island called the USA” lives in peace, he added. Used to people not fighting back or getting intimidated by name-calling, the Americans don’t know what to do with Wagner, which “looks into the eyes of the personification of global evil without fear.”

 

Prigozhin said the US objective is to break up Russia just as it did to the USSR, then take on China, in order to maintain its global hegemony.

 

The Wagner Group was originally established in 2014. Over the past year, its fighters have taken part in battles against the Ukrainian military in the Donbass. Earlier this month, the Russian Defense Ministry acknowledgedWagner’s role in capturing the key town of Soledar.

 

US authorities have accused the PMC of unspecified “human rights violations” in Syria and the Central African Republic, where Wagner helped the government against jihadist insurgents. Last month, the State Department declared Wagner an “entity of particular concern” for religious freedom in Africa, in the same category as Al-Qaeda and Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).

Israel and US aim to send message with record military drill

Iran will take notice of the joint exercise, which is the largest ever held by the two countries, the Pentagon has claimed

 

The US and Israeli militaries began their largest-ever joint exercise on Monday, seeking to hone seamless coordination of their forces and prove a point to Iran about their readiness to fight a conflict in the Middle East even as Washington juggles rising tensions with Russia and China.

 

“I do think that this scale of the exercise is relevant to a whole range of scenarios, and Iran may draw certain inferences from that,” a senior US defense official told reporters. “It would not surprise me if Iran, you know, sees the scale and the nature of these activities and understands what the two of us are capable of doing.”

 

Dubbed Juniper Oak, the exercise will involve over 140 aircraft, including nuclear-capable bombers and F-35 fighter jets, as well as 12 warships and about 7,500 troops, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM). It’s designed to improve the “interoperability” of both forces.

 

“What we think this exercise demonstrates is, we can walk and chew gum at the same time,”the unidentified defense official told NBC News. Despite the Pentagon’s growing focus on China and its efforts to help Ukraine defeat Russian forces, he added, “We still have the excess capacity to be able to flex to another high-priority area of responsibility and conduct an exercise on this scale.”

 

Juniper Oak is an all-domain exercise, meaning it will include naval, land, air, space and electronic-warfare drills. It will run from Monday through Friday in Israel and the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The US will reportedly employ four HIMARS rocket launchers, laser-guided bombs and stealth cruise missiles. The event will culminate with the firing of 180,000 pounds of live munitions while simulating an electronic attack and suppressing enemy air defenses.

 

“This is a sign that we continue to have Israel’s back at a time when there’s lots of turbulence and instability across the region,” the defense official said. The source added, “If there’s a sense that Americans are distracted, or the Americans are going away from the Middle East, and therefore they have free rein for their malign activities, I think this will disabuse them.

 

“I suspect Iran will take note of that, but not only Iran. China will take note of that, Russia will take note of that, other folks will take note of that.”

Joe Biden stored top-secret files with the “sensitive compartmented information” (SCIF) designation at Penn Biden Center in DC (found on Nov. 2).

 

Lawyers discovered more classified documents at Joe Biden’s Delaware home – in the garage next to his Corvette (found on Dec. 20).

 

Additional documents stored in Biden’s library were discovered on January 12 and again on January 20.

 

Hunter Biden had access to the garage where Biden stored some of the classified documents.

 

The documents discovered at Biden’s private office and home are related to Ukraine, Iran, China and the United Kingdom.

 

According to emails uncovered from the “Laptop from Hell,” Hunter Biden sent his business partner Devon Archer a very detailed email on Ukraine on April 13, 2014 – just one week before Joe Biden visited Ukraine to meet with then-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

 

It appears Hunter Biden was emailing Devon Archer information he received from a briefing from his father Joe Biden or directly from top-secret documents.

 

“A curiously well-informed email about Ukraine, Russia and the UK on Hunter Biden’s laptop is a thread that links the President’s classified documents scandal to the Delaware federal investigation into his son’s foreign business dealings.” – the New York Post’s Miranda Devine wrote.

One striking email during this period stands out. It was from Hunter to Archer on April 13, 2014, a week before Joe Biden visited Ukraine to meet then-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and refers to “my guys upcoming travels.”

 

For Hunter, it was an uncharacteristically lengthy email, listing 22 points about Ukraine’s political situation, with detailed information about the upcoming election and predicting an escalation of Russia’s “destabilization campaign, which could lead to a full-scale takeover of the eastern region, most critically Donetsk.

 

“The strategic value is to create a land bridge for RU to Crimea. That won’t directly affect Burisma holdings but it will limit future UK exploration and utilization of offshore opportunities in particular,” Hunter wrote.

 

“It will also result in further destabilization of UK nationally and for whatever govt is in power. And the US will respond with even stronger sanctions. Those sanctions will threaten the tenuous support of the EU which does not have the political will to incur steep energy price increases.”

 

In point 22, Hunter instructed Archer to buy a “burner phone,” presumably to keep their conversations private. “Buy a cell phone from a 7/11 or CVS tmrw and ill do the same.”

 

It’s a prescient and very well-informed email, unlike anything else Hunter wrote in the nine years covered in the laptop, and it has the distinct flavor of an official briefing, perhaps even a classified one.

Fox News adds that while Attorney General Merrick Garland thinks the move will enhance public safety, Gaetz believes it will unfairly disenfranchise “disabled gun owners and veterans,” who rely on stabilizing grips for fire with one hand.

 

“I have a lot of disabled veterans in my district who enjoy pistol shooting and rely on stabilizing braces to be able to engage in the activity. The recent actions from the ATF essentially allow them to make case-by-case determinations on whether a pistol with a stabilizing brace is legal or an unlawful, sawed-off shotgun,” Gaetz told Fox News Digital.

Whistleblower sues Konnech, claims data was 'accessible to foreign nationals from China'

 

The whistleblower "witnessed customer’s data (specifically poll watcher information) being made accessible to foreign nationals from China."

 

Last month, Grant Bradley, a former employee of the Michigan-based election data firm Konnech Inc, filed a whistleblower lawsuit against the company and its founder, disgraced CEO Eugene Yu, supporting the claims made by True the Vote leaders Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips that Konnech transferred and stored the data of American poll workers on Chinese servers.

 

The Federalist reports that "According to the verified complaint, Konnech provides 'election logistic software' to 32 clients in North America, using 'developers, designers and coders' who 'are all Chinese nationals based out of Wuhan, China.'

 

Bradley filed the complaint in a Michigan state court last month and said he "witnessed customer’s data (specifically poll watcher information) being made accessible to foreign nationals from China."

 

When he brought the problem up to management, they told him "everyone was doing it," like big software companies Microsoft and Apple.

 

Konnech sued True the Vote in September of 2022 and said they made "baseless and racist" accusations against CEO Eugene Yu. Phillips and Engelbrecht had claimed that Yu was an agent of the Chinese Communist Party, and that the country had been using poll worker data to influence the 2020 election.

 

In his complaint, Bradley said he "began to investigate the extent of the information provided to the Chinese programmers by Defendants Yu and Konnech" after True the Vote started making their claims.

 

Bradley started looking for other work but was still at Konnech when Yu was arrested and charged by the Los Angeles district attorney for allegedly storing government data about American poll workers in China. LA officials reportedly received their initial tip regarding Yu from Phillips via an informant that Engelbrecht and Phillips knew of. The pair later testified that identifying the confidential informant would put his life at risk and were held in contempt for their protection of the informant.

 

Bradley alleged in his suit that he "was told by his supervisors not to speak with the police or cooperate in their investigation of Defendants Yu and Konnech’s activities," after Yu’s arrest.

 

Bradley "ignored the directive of his supervisors" and "asked to meet with the police on the day of the raid so that he could provide them with handwritten notes and other electronic evidence he believes further substantiates Defendants’ illegal activities."

 

Within days he was fired from Konnech by Yu, forming the foundation of his claim under the Michigan Whistleblowers’ Protection Act. He's also suing for wrongful termination.

 

In November of last year, Los Angeles County prosecutor George Gascon dropped the criminal charges against Yu.

 

Phillips and Engelbrecht were also released from jail in November 2022.

 

Speaking to Steve Bannon after their release Engelbrecht said, "We were put in prison because, one week before the midterms, we needed to be silenced."

Bradley's suit also brought into question the circumstances around Gascon's decision to drop the charges on Yu and the FBI's investigation of Konnech.

India to make more iPhones – minister

Apple is set to shift its production away from China following Covid-related disruptions at its main assembly plant

 

Apple is looking to scale up its manufacturing in India as the iPhone maker continues to move its production away from China, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Monday.

 

The tech giant wants India to account for up to 25% of its production, up from the current 5% to 7%, according to Goyal, who called Apple “another success story” as he talked up the advantages of doing business with the world’s fifth-largest economy.

 

He didn’t specify when Apple wants to meet the target but noted that “they launched the most recent models from India, manufactured in India.”

 

Last year, Apple began production of its flagship iPhone 14 in India. It was the first time the tech giant had produced its latest model in India so close to its launch. Apple has been manufacturing iPhones in the Asian country since 2017, first with Wistron and later with Foxconn, the main assembler of iPhones, in line with the Indian government's push for local manufacturing.

 

India’s Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tweeted on Monday that Apple's exports from India hit $1 billion in December.

The California-based tech giant has been looking to diversify production away from China, where it currently assembles the bulk of its iPhones, following major disruptions at the iPhone factory in Zhengzhou, where hundreds of workers joined protests related to strict Covid-19 regulations.

I can imagine. In the late 90's in Houston, I had a weekly 1/2 show on a listener sponsored station. Part of the Pacifica network. I was the token moderate. I went to an Allied Media conference in Austin about 2000. It was at the Univesity of Texas Communications college. I taught a short class on how to do radio. Like, don't pop your P's, no more than 30 second bumper music, yada, yada. Later I foung out I was placed on a FBI watch list for that. I'm SO scary. kek God bless you.

John Zingsheim walked into a Wisconsin hospital in the Aurora Health Care system. He was not life-flighted or on a stretcher, but walked in, and tested positive for Covid. Within 10 minutes, the doctor told him, “Mr. Zingsheim, you’re going to die,” and placed him into the CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) hospital Covid protocol. Without John’s knowledge or permission, they gave him remdesivir for two days before he called his family, “I think I’m in trouble, can you help me?”

 

This protocol for John included unproven Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) drugs baricitinib (causes blood clots and Sepsis, and says not to give it for upper respiratory infections) and remdesivir (which is toxic to the liver and kidneys).

 

John’s Power of Attorney (POA), his nephew Allen Gahl, demanded he be taken off the injurious drugs. Nevertheless, another effort at giving remdesivir to him was attempted, but according to my interview with the Gahls, they caught it on his charts and were able to stop it in time. John and his POA requested life-saving treatments ivermectin and high dose IV Vitamin C, but the hospital refused. The Gahls informed me, “On the Statutory HCPOA [Healthcare Power of Attorney] Form used by hospitals, which comes from Statute 155, it also requires the hospital to give ‘necessary treatments’ requested by the POA, but these were denied John.”

 

Under the the hospital’s protocol treatment, John’s kidneys failed, he was on dialysis, he had had Sepsis multiple times, and he was dying on the ventilator.

 

The hospital sent a hospice team to each family member trying to convince them to “pull the plug” on John, stating there was nothing more they could do at that point since they were claiming he had Multiple Organ System Failure, including his kidneys, and his lungs were scarred. They told them he would never be able to return to a livable quality of life. The family sought help from the legal system, and refused to end John’s life. And the hospital refused to give him ivermectin, even though he was dying.
