Hunter Laptop Emails Show Joe Biden Traveled to Ireland with Hunter and Jim Biden Who Met with China’s CEFC Executives

 

As Joe Biden settles back in at the White House after his trip last week to Ireland, investigations by the US Attorney of Delaware and the U.S. House continue on with recent revelations of transactions flagged as SARs, or Suspicious Activity Reports, regarding Hunter Biden’s business dealings with Chinese energy firm CEFC.

 

Hunter Biden, ironically, accompanied his father on his trip to Ireland this past week. “Ironically”? Why do you say that? Well, it’s not the first time Joe and Hunter traveled to Ireland together nor is it the most interesting.

 

In March 2022, the Washington Post published an article titled “Inside Hunter Biden’s Multimillion-dollar Deals with a Chinese Energy Company.” The article, surprisingly, was a fair assessment of the evidence that has recently been unearthed from emails contained in Hunter’s now-infamous laptop.

 

The WaPo article mentions the Chinese Energy conglomerate, CEFC, paying entities controlled by Hunter and his uncle, James Biden, $4.8 million over the course of 14 months.

 

They mention Hunter adding the names “The Biden Foundation and Hudson West (CEFC-US)” to the office space leased by Hunter’s company, Rosemont Seneca, at the House of Sweden in Washington DC. Hunter also requested keys be made for Gongwen Dong (Chairman Ye CEFC emissary) and Joe, Jill and Jim Biden.

The article even references tense email exchanges between Hunter and his landlords regarding Hunter violating office policies by bringing visitors in through the side entrance and skipping the sign-in policy of the office building. Hunter, of course, cried “racism” after explaining one of the “visitors” was a homeless woman that “he could vouch for”. Another side door visitor was reportedly Lunden Roberts, who would later prove she is the mother to his out-of-wedlock child.

 

But one statement in the WaPo article is a bit concerning:

 

The Post did not find evidence that Joe Biden personally benefited from or knew details about the transactions with CEFC, which took place after he had left the vice presidency and before he announced his intentions to run for the White House in 2020.

 

Joe himself has reverberated this sentiment throughout his 2020 campaign, including on the debate stage against President Trump.

 

So perhaps the following is just a coincidence:

 

In September 2017, Joe Biden traveled to Ireland as a civilian. According to the following emails obtained by MarcoPolo, Joe left on September 11, 2017 on American Airlines Flight 776. Hunter, James, and Jamie Biden would also be on that very same flight, although their itinerary was sent in a separate email.

 

On August 21, 2017, prior to their planned departure for Ireland, former assistant to the Vice President (VP) Kathy Chung sent an email titled “Memo on Ireland FP Options” to “Jimmy Biden” and “Hunter Biden”. In it, she stated:

 

VP asked me to send this to you. He will choose which meetings he’d like to do while in Ireland. Thanks.

New Report Exposes Feminist Misinformation about Parental Alienation

 

One of the most severe forms of child abuse is parental alienation, in which one parent seeks to weaken and damage the child’s relationship with the other parent. The seriousness of parental alienation is revealed by these facts:

 

Nearly one-quarter of separated or divorced parents reported at least one of their children had been alienated from them, according to one study (1).

Hundreds of research studies confirming the existence of parental alienation have been conducted in 32 countries around the world (2).

in nearly 1,200 trial and appellate cases, judges have ruled that evidence of possible parental alienation was relevant and admissible (3).

 

Despite the fact that parental alienation is an “equal opportunity” problem affecting both fathers and mothers (4), feminists have taken the implausible position that parental alienation is simply a ruse of abusive fathers (5).

 

In order to advance this theory, Jean Mercer and Margaret Drew published a book titled, Challenging Parental Alienation: New Directions for Professionals and Parents (6). The book refers to parental alienation as a “pseudoscience” and “belief system,” and concludes that family courts should avoid use of parental alienation concepts.

 

Despite the existence of hundreds of studies showing that women engage in domestic violence as often as men (7), the Mercer/Drew book consistently portrays fathers as abusers, suggesting its real intent is to falsely stereotype men.

 

In response, the Parental Alienation Study Group and Global Action for Research Integrity in Parental Alienation recently published a rebuttal titled, A Comprehensive Review of Misinformation and Other Inaccuracies in Challenging Parental Alienation (8). The 127-page rebuttal identifies five types of misinformation in the Mercer/Drew book.

 

The analysis concludes, “These errors are so egregious that we believe they constitute a deliberate attempt to mislead mental health professionals, legal professionals, and parents. The misinformation contained in this book is likely to cause irreparable harm to children and families.”

 

Lawmakers and policy-makers around the world are urged to reject the false claims of the Mercer/Drew book, and support local observances of International Parental Alienation Awareness Day on April 25.

Truth Social chief suggests SEC trying to kill merger effort over politics

 

"He's worked overtime to try to kill our company," Nunes asserted.

 

Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes on Monday shared suspicions that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is working to kill a prospective merger that would allow the company to get listed on the stock exchange and raise key capital to expand the platform.

 

Nunes made the remarks on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show, one day before SEC Chairman Gary Gensler is slated to speak before a congressional committee.

 

The former California lawmaker derided Gensler, asserting that his time in office had been marred by myriad disasters, saying "[w]ell, overall, you've had some of the biggest disasters that have occurred on his watch, whether it's the cryptocurrency guy, the FTX guy, so many things that are that have blown up on his watch."

 

"And in the meantime, you know, he's worked overtime to try to kill our company," Nunes asserted. "We're a privately held company. We've been attempting to merge with a finance company. It's a well-known mechanism. The stockholders, the shareholders have voted overwhelmingly to stay involved in this. We have said that, 'look, we'd like to get this deal completed.' But it just goes nowhere. And it makes no sense."

 

He further asserted that such a merger ought to take far less time that it had thus far. The company is seeking to merge with Digital World Acquisition Corp.

 

"An approval like this for for our company, should happen within just just a few months," Nunes insisted. "And we've had the application there now for a year, a full year. I think we're one of the longest in history, where you have two willing partners who want to do a deal, who have not received any comments whatsoever."

 

"[Y]ou've got Gensler there, who[m] we outed as the guy who actually was the CFO for the Hillary campaign, who actually wrote the check to Fusion GPS," he added. "You have Peter Strzok's wife, who is there, the disgraced FBI agent who was running the Russia hoax. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday charged cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex Inc and its former CEO William Shihara with operating an unregistered national securities exchange, broker and clearing agency. The SEC alleged in its complaint, which was filed in a U.S. district court in Washington, that Shihara coordinated with crypto asset issuers seeking to make their tokens available for trading on Bittrex's platform to delete public statements that Shihara believed would lead regulators to investigate those token offerings as securities. The SEC also charged Bittrex's foreign affiliate, Bittrex Global GmbH, for failing to register as a national securities exchange in connection with its operation of a single shared order book along with Bittrex. Shihara declined to respond to a request for comment.Bittrex Inc said in a statement that securities were not offered or traded on its platform and that it did not offer products that were investment contracts.

 

In a separate statement, Bittrex Global said it has no U.S. customers and plans to "vigorously defend" the SEC's allegations in court. Seattle-based Bittrex had previously announced it would shutter its U.S. operations effective April 30 due to "continued regulatory uncertainty." The company's non-U.S. operations are based in Liechtenstein.

 

The SEC's complaint also alleged that Bittrex from 2017 to 2022 earned at least $1.3 billion in revenues from transaction fees from investors, among other things, while servicing them as a broker, exchange and clearing agency, but failed to register those activities with the SEC. New York Post Editorial Board calls out the Times as Fake News!

 

It’s hard to know if the gormless editors at The New York Times suffer from a severe lack of self-awareness — or just an overabundance of chutzpah.

 

“Will there be a price to pay for profiting from the spread of misinformation?” a Times front-page “news analysis story” asked of Monday’s trial pitting Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News, over claims the network’s reporting and commentary on Trumpist claims of election fraud are defamatory.

 

That’s beyond rich: Not only does the paper spread muck and bunk; misinformation has been a big commercial winner for the paper of record.

 

From the get-go (with Paul Krugman’s July 2016 “Siberian Candidate” column days after Trump’s nomination), the Times has been among the worst spreaders of false, shoddily sourced claims about Trump and his supposed Russia-connected misdeeds — including the totally fabricated Steele Dossier.

 

The paper even shamelessly shared a Pulitzer for coverage of nonexistent Russian interference in the 2016 election.

 

And it’s not just its endless Russia, Russia, Russia stories. Consider the outlet’s effort to discredit, along similar lines, The Post’s scoop about the 100%-authentic contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop, a story whose willful suppression may have helped swing the election.

 

On COVID, the paper pushed for the most anti-science policies imaginable, like cruel school closures and universal masking, long after data suggested they weren’t effective.

 

Recall its now-infamous 1619 Project, a multi-platform, Pulitzer-winning disinfo push hawking the factually inaccurate idea that the American Revolution was undertaken primarily to preserve the slaveholding rights of southern colonies.

 

How many internal emails from the Times’ own newsroom would express private concerns over coverage, even as bogus stories are rushed into print to juice subscription revenues?

 

The paper’s been doing land-office business since 2016 in large part because it’s been telling its deep-blue audience exactly the histrionic nonsense it wants to hear.

 

Shall we ask the Times to share its internal exchanges between reporters, editors and the data analysts in its “audience development” department?

 

Those would probably reveal how these analysts are ordering up stories on liberal hot-button issues, not because of pure, high journalism intent, but to convert users into subscribers — even if they clearly haven’t got 100% proof or indisputably believe what they are reporting is fact.

 

Add to that a breed of journo at the Times, imbued with feverish ideological zeal that could easily, in a courtroom, be categorized as “actual malice” against conservative personalities (not just Trump) and institutions.

 

So when Maureen Dowd said in her rant, sorry, column this weekend that Fox “isn’t a news organization” but “a greedy business” trafficking in falsehoods, she could have been talking about her own employer.

 

Remember, too, that the Times won a crucial legal victory for US media at the Supreme Court in Times v. Sullivan.

 

That decision strictly limited the extent to which papers can be sued for defamation of public figures.

 

Now the same paper cheers on the tearing-down of that standard, just because it sees Fox as a champion of an alternative viewpoint, which it despises.

 

The Times and the liberal media complex should be careful what they wish for. We wonder whether the Times will like the result if Dominion prevails: namely, its own inevitable comeuppance for publishing newsworthy claims that offend powerful people.

Controversial Speaker Sparks Outcry

PROTEST LEADS TO ARREST AT EUGENE LIBRARY

Once known as a “philosopher poet” among environmentalists, Derrick Jensen of the group Deep Green Resistance is better known these days for sparking protests against what his opponents call his and DGR’s transphobic views.

 

Jensen’s March 4 appearance at the Eugene Public Library led to a protest and one arrest.

 

According to the Eugene Police department, “Twenty to 30 people began protesting an environmentalist speaker, whose views the group found offensive to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer (LGBTQ) community.” Protest organizers say of the 150 people they counted at the library, 90-100 were protesters.

 

EPD refers to the talk at the library as a “free speech event.” The library did not sponsor the event; Jensen rented the room at the public facility.

 

Daniel Williams, the person arrested, says he became aware of Jensen through the organization United Front: Families Resisting and Organizing Nonviolently Together, which organized the protest.

 

United Front wrote on its Facebook event page that DGR and Jensen “promote extreme bigotry against transgender people. For example Jensen has compared transgender people’s personal medical decisions to the Eugenics movement and the Holocaust.”

 

In response to an opinion piece criticizing Jensen and DGR by local anarcho-primitivist John Zerzan that EW ran online, one Jensen supporter, who did not provide a name, writes that all transwomen are “just shitty, sexist men.”

 

Jensen and DGR have taken the stance that women-only spaces should not allow the presence of women-identifying trans people. Previous talks by Jensen and other DGR members have met with fierce opposition and protest in Eugene and elsewhere. Jensen positions himself as a victim of free-speech attacks and a supporter of women.

 

Jensen writes on his DGR blog that, before the event, he was “was forced to hire security from a private local security firm” due to the hostility he was experiencing. Jensen had previously been invited to give a talk through the Western Environmental Law Center during the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference, but WELC withdrew its invitation or, as Jensen prefers to call it, “deplatformed” him.

 

Williams says the event at Eugene library was completely nonviolent. He says he attended as an ally to those in the community affected by Jensen’s views, and when he arrived he sat down and turned his back to Jensen and began quietly reading. Jensen himself was reading from his previously published material, Williams says.

 

According to Williams, Jensen did not address the topic of the protest and is “completely unapologetic about thinking trans-people don’t have a right to exist in society.”

 

Williams says EPD told the protesters the police were there to make sure the speech wasn’t disrupted.

 

Jensen says in a statement that “the reactionary left of Eugene did its best to shut down public discourse. They failed miserably.” He says he gave his full talk and it was “livestreamed to thousands of people, to much acclaim.”

 

Williams says at one point Jensen paused after he finished reading a science fiction story, and during that pause Williams turned to the person next to him and quietly commented on the sci-fi story he himself was reading. At that point Williams says DGR supporters began to yell and point, and he was arrested shortly thereafter.

 

In its media release EPD says Williams “wished to be arrested, passively resisted and so was accommodated with a citation in lieu of custody for criminal trespass 2.”

 

Williams says, “I did not go in with the intention of being arrested, and my intention was to sit quietly throughout the whole thing, and when the person paused, I simply made a comment.”

 

He muses, “It seems like I was arrested for talking about a book in the library.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) announced on Monday that it was “pausing” its activity on Twitter after the social media platform labeled it as state-funded, arguing that this somehow impugned their editorial independence.

 

“Our journalism is impartial and independent. To suggest otherwise is untrue. That is why we are pausing our activities on Twitter,” the government-funded outlet tweeted.

 

“Twitter can be a powerful tool for our journalists to communicate with Canadians, but it undermines the accuracy and professionalism of the work they do to allow our independence to be falsely described in this way,” CBC spokesperson Leon Mar said on Sunday evening. “Consequently, we will be pausing our activity on our corporate Twitter account and all CBC and Radio-Canada news-related accounts.”

 

The CBC is a Crown corporation, entirely owned by the Canadian state. In its 2021-22 annual analysis, it reported receiving 1.24 billion ($930 million) Canadian dollars in government funding. However, the outlet insists that its editorial policies are entirely independent of the government and guided only by “public interest.”

 

Mar argued that Twitter’s own policy defines government-funded media as those in which the authorities “may have varying degrees of government involvement over editorial content,” which is “clearly not the case with CBC/Radio Canada.”

NY Times: Biden Officials ‘Ignored’ Warnings of Surge in Migrant Children Being Labor Trafficked into U.S. Jobs

 

Officials in President Joe Biden’s administration have “ignored or missed” warnings from whistleblowers detailing a surge in Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) being labor trafficked into United States jobs, the New York Times reported.

 

UACs are detained at the U.S.-Mexico border before being sent to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) custody where most are eventually released to sponsors throughout the nation.

 

The Times, in an extensive report, spoke with HHS officials as well as whistleblowers and reviewed federal documents to unveil a widespread trend since Biden took office: UACs being labor trafficked, forced to work brutal jobs by their adult sponsors, with little-to-no oversight from the administration.

 

In a handful of cases noted by the Times, adult male sponsors were found to be sponsoring multiple UACs only to have them take hard-labor jobs once they arrived in their care. Those jobs include construction work, industrial plants with dangerous chemicals, and food processing facilities, among others.

 

Repeatedly, HHS officials and whistleblowers said they warned the Biden administration of such cases that appeared to be migrant child labor trafficking but received radio silence, and sometimes, employment retribution for doing so.

 

The Times reported:

 

But all along, there were signs of the explosive growth of this labor force and warnings that the Biden administration ignored or missed, The Times has found. [Emphasis added]

 

Again and again, veteran government staffers and outside contractors told the Health and Human Services Department, including in reports that reached Secretary Xavier Becerra, that children appeared to be at risk. The Labor Department put out news releases noting an increase in child labor. Senior White House aides were shown evidence of exploitation, such as clusters of migrant children who had been found working with industrial equipment or caustic chemicals. [Emphasis added]

At least five Health and Human Services staff members filed complaints and said they were pushed out after raising concerns about child safety. [Emphasis added]

 

More cases reported by the Times show a trend where UAC sponsors use migrant children in their care to pay them back debts. In one case, a 12-year-old UAC boy was made to work after arriving in his sponsor’s care. That same sponsor had already sponsored at least five other UACs.

 

In February, the Times detailed in a report that HHS has lost contact with more than 85,000 UACs after they were turned over to sponsors living throughout the U.S. interior. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials have seemingly admitted that many of those lost UACs have ended up in the child labor trafficking pipeline.

 

Last month, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said he had “no idea” whether HHS has lost track of 85,000 UACs in the U.S. — questioning whether the figure is “based in reality or not.” Becerra also told Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) that he “never heard that number of 85,000 … it doesn’t sound at all to be realistic.”

 

Since Biden took office, a quarter of a million UACs have been resettled with sponsors across American communities. The majority, 64 to 66 percent, are boys, while 72 percent of all UACs are 15 to 18 years old. Only 15 to 16 percent of UACs are babies, toddlers, and pre-teens.

Summary

Liddle syndrome is a rare genetic disorder caused by abnormal kidney function that results in high blood pressure (hypertension). This disorder is caused by a disease-causing variant (mutation) in one of 3 genes (SCNN1A, SCNN1B, and SCNN1G) that encode the epithelial sodium channel (ENaC).

 

While ENaC is present throughout the body in organs such as the lungs and kidney, ENaC activity in the kidney characterizes the clinical presentation. Mutation of one of the 3 genes that cause Liddle syndrome results in higher-than-normal ENaC activity. Over-active ENaC in the distal nephrons of the kidney leads to excessive sodium reabsorption and associated electrolyte imbalances. The excess sodium retention effects blood pressure control, resulting in hypertension that is resistant to most anti-hypertensive medications. Potassium secretion in the kidney is affected, and low concentration of serum blood potassium (hypokalemia) is present in most, but not all, patients.

 

Plasma renin activity and serum aldosterone levels are low. Severity of hypertension, which is the presenting finding, varies from mild to severe, even in patients in the same family. The symptoms and severity can vary by age, sex and life events such as pregnancy. Amiloride, a potassium-sparing diuretic, inhibits ENaC, and is the mainstay of therapy. Additional treatment includes a low-salt diet and additional anti-hypertensive medications, as needed.

Odd spiral appears amid northern lights in Alaska night sky

 

Northern light enthusiasts got a surprise mixed in with the green bands of light dancing in the Alaska skies: A light baby blue spiral resembling a galaxy appeared amid the aurora for a few minutes.

The cause early Saturday morning was a little more mundane than an alien invasion or the appearance of a portal to the far reaches of the universe. It was simply excess fuel that had been released from a SpaceX rocket that launched from California about three hours before the spiral appeared

Sometimes rockets have fuel that needs to be jettisoned, said space physicist Don Hampton, a research associate professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute.

"When they do that at high altitudes, that fuel turns into ice," he said. "And if it happens to be in the sunlight, when you're in the darkness on the ground, you can see it as a sort of big cloud, and sometimes it's swirly."

While not a common sight, Hampton said he's seen such occurrences about three times.

The appearance of the swirl was caught in time-lapse on the Geophysical Institute's all-sky camera and shared widely. "It created a bit of an Internet storm with that spiral," Hampton said.

Photographers out for the northern lights show also posted their photos on social media.

The rocket took off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California Friday night with about 25 satellites as its payload.

It was a polar launch, which made it visible over a large swath of Alaska.

The timing of the fuel dump was timed correctly for visibility over Alaska.

"And we got that really cool looking spiral thing," he said.

While it looked like a galaxy going over Alaska, he assures it wasn't.

"I can tell you it's not a galaxy," he said. "It's just water vapor reflecting sunlight."

In January, another spiral was seen, this time over Hawaii's Big Island. A camera at the summit of Mauna Kea, outside the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan's Subaru telescope, captured a spiral swirling through the night sky.

Researchers have said it was from the launch of a military GPS satellite that lifted off earlier on a SpaceX rocket in Florida.
