IRS whistleblower confirms Hunter Biden received nearly $5 million from donor for personal expenses

 

Joseph Ziegler also shared an example of how Hunter's foreign business activity with Burisma could be linked to his father.

 

Internal Revenue Service agent Joseph Ziegler told the House Ways and Means Committee in closed-door testimony Tuesday that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, received almost $5 million in loans from a donor for personal expenses.

 

"Hunter appeared to follow a pattern of attempting to avoid paying taxes on relevant income. This first started with Hunter not reporting the Burisma income in 2014 and allegedly falsely claiming that it was a loan to him," Ziegler said in his testimony.

 

"He, again, tried to claim the millions in income earned from Hudson West III was a loan to him, which was refuted by the evidence and was not allowed by his tax accountants. This continued into 2020, 2021 and 2022, in which Hunter received approximately $4.9 million in payments for personal expenses, again in the form of a loan and gift from Democratic Donor Kevin Patrick Morris," he added.

 

Ziegler also said that Morris paid Hunter's delinquent taxes.

 

"As stated in my previous testimony, I read a note from Hunter Biden’s 2020 tax return that Hunter Biden received a loan from a 3rd party, known to be Kevin Patrick Morris, in paying off Hunter Biden’s delinquent taxes," he said.

 

Ziegler’s interview confirms reporting by Just the News last month showing that Kevin Morris and Hunter Biden had engaged in a series of loans totaling $5.3 million since Joe Biden began running for president.

 

Ziegler and fellow whistleblower Gary Shapley, who oversaw the IRS probe of Hunter Biden’s tax issues, have alleged that the U.S. Justice Department interfered with the investigation and thwarted some of the actions they were ready to take based on several leads.

 

According to Ziegler, Hunter's tax accountant said the 2017 and 2018 tax liabilities were "discussed with Hunter Biden on February 11, 2020, and that he elected to not remit the tax payments because he did not have the resources to pay them."

 

"It is noted that the month prior to this, Morris made a $160,000 tax payment, in an attempt to pay off Hunter Biden’s delinquent 2015 tax debt, which was a point of contention with Hunter’s ex-wife at the time," he said. "Hunter may have been in breach of his marital separation agreement and Hunter’s ex-wife at the time was having an issue renewing her passport due to the delinquent tax debt."

 

Ziegler also provided an example of how Hunter's foreign business activity with Ukrainian energy company Burisma could be linked to his father.

 

He shared that Vadym Pozharskyi, advisor to the Burisma Board of Directors, sent an email to Hunter on April 17, 2015 where he thanks Hunter for the “opportunity to meet your father and spent (sp) some time together."

 

Despite this email message, Ziegler said investigators "were never given an opportunity to interview Joseph Biden to find out what they discussed at that meeting."

 

The whistleblower testimony took place as the House GOP plans to take a formal vote on opening an impeachment inquiry against Biden next week.

 

Following the closed door whistleblower testimony, the Ways and Means Committee announced Tuesday that it voted to "release 56 new pages of evidence showing that then-Vice President Joe Biden used multiple email aliases and private email addresses to communicate with his son’s business associate and main financial architect."

 

The private email and aliases are linked to communication with Hunter, according to the committee.

 

"The president appears now to not only have had knowledge but also been intimately involved in Hunter Biden’s business dealings," read a committee press release. "The material released today further corroborates the previous testimony of IRS agents Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley highlighting the incredible level of access Hunter Biden and his business partners had in Joe Biden’s public office while working for foreign businesses."

 

The uncovered emails include a message from Morris who expressed to a "Biden family accountant" that Hunter's unpaid taxes posed a “considerable risk personally and politically" and needed to be reconciled.

Venezuelans voted in favor of claiming sovereignty over a vast swathe of neighboring country Guyana on Sunday, according to the nation's election officials, raising fresh fears that President Nicolás Maduro could seek to annex the territory by force.

 

The National Election Council claimed to have counted more than 10.5 million votes in a referendum, the Associated Press reported. The council, however, did not explain whether the number of votes was equivalent to each voter or if it was the sum of each individual answer in the five-question referendum.

 

Venezuela argues that Guyana's Essequibo region, also known as Guayana Esequiba, was stolen from it when the border was drawn over a century ago.

 

The region—which accounts for two thirds of the area of Guyana—is rich in both oil and minerals, and would in theory give Venezuela access to the Stabroek Block, an oil field that it is estimated contains more than eight billion barrels, discovered by ExxonMobil in 2015, which sits almost entirely in Guyana's territorial waters.

 

It follows international calls for Venezuela to desist from actions that could threaten Guyana's control of Essequibo and a build up of military forces by Brazil.

Venezuelan voters were asked whether they support "the creation of the Guayana Esequiba state" in the 61,600-square-mile disputed territory, and its incorporation into Venezuela.

 

The referendum also included questions about granting citizenship to residents and rejecting the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in settling the dispute.

 

"We have taken the first steps of a new historical stage to fight for our Guayana Esequiba, for peace and to recover what the liberators left us," Maduro said following the announcing of the referendum's results.

 

"I came to vote because Essequibo is ours, and I hope that whatever they are going to do, they think about it thoroughly and remember to never put peace at risk," 37-year-old Juan Carlos Rodríguez, told AP in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, after voting.

Doctors have described a constellation of birth defects, including conjoined toes and bent feet, as consequences of expectant mothers using fentanyl while pregnant.

The Delaware-based pediatricians have identified 10 babies with the defects in their state, as well as in California, Boston, and Rhode Island believed to be suffering from fetal fentanyl syndrome.

Their report is the first to uncover a link between the deadly street drug fentanyl currently tearing its way across the country and these birth defects, possibly due to the fact that patients often withhold their history of drug use.

In addition to causing conjoined digits and bent ‘rocker bottom feet’ – named for the way bent feet resemble the legs of a rocking chair – fetal fentanyl syndrome can lead to cleft palate, an unusually small head, and neurological and behavioral issues lasting into adolescence.

Fentanyl has affected millions of lives, and pregnant women are no exception. Deaths caused by the drug, which is 50 times stronger than heroin, more than tripled from 2016 to 2021, rising from 5.7 per 100,000 persons in 2016 to 21.6 in 2021.

Further evidence is needed to prove without a doubt that fentanyl is the cause of these birth defects, which is not yet settled scientific fact. The National Institutes of Health, for instance, said just two years ago that, ‘Based on the studies reviewed, exposure to fentanyl is not expected to increase the chance for birth defects above the background risk.’

But researchers from Nemours Children’s Hospital in Delaware who authored the latest study believed that their ‘striking’ discovery of a common thread between all 10 babies was compelling.

They said: ‘No common genetic or genomic abnormality was identified, but prenatal fentanyl exposure was shared among the pregnancies.

‘Although fentanyl’s effect on cholesterol metabolism has not been directly tested, based on indirect evidence it is biologically plausible that it affects cholesterol metabolism in the developing fetus.’

They posited that when a mother uses fentanyl during pregnancy, the drug disrupts the processes by which the body produces, uses, and eliminates cholesterol, a fat molecule that is essential for building membranes around cells as well as producing hormones and vitamin D.

ROME — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently published a sharp letter excoriating the Vatican’s plans to renew an agreement with the Chinese government on Church operations in China. He promoted the article in a tweet, concluding, “The Vatican endangers its moral authority, should it renew the deal.”

 

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

 

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

 

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

 

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. In appealing to the Vatican’s support for religious freedom as a reason to drop its China agreement, Mr. Pompeo seemed to seek common ground, but in a way that upset the pope’s chief allies and delighted his chief critics.

 

Cardinal Parolin said Mr. Pompeo’s article had caused “surprise” at the Vatican, because this visit to Rome by the secretary and the meetings with high officials at the Holy See had already been in the works and would have been a “more opportune” forum for airing grievances. He added that Mr. Pompeo’s choice to publish in First Things, a conservative Christian magazine that has called Francis a failure as Pope, also mattered.

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), in a speech on the Senate floor Monday, proposed allowing illegal immigrants to serve in the United States military.

 

The bulk of Durbin’s comments centered on a plea with his Republican colleagues to reach across the aisle and work in a bipartisan manner to fix the broken immigration system.

 

But then he added this interesting proposal– use illegal aliens to beef up military recruiting numbers – which are dismal.

 

“Do you know what the recruiting numbers are at the Army, Navy, and the Air Force? They can’t reach their quotas each month. They can’t find enough people to join our military forces. And there are those who are undocumented who want the chance to serve and risk their lives for this country,” he explained.

Again Pushes For Mass Amnesty

On top of a push to place illegal immigrants in the ranks of the military, Senator Durbin also renewed calls for amnesty for so-called “DREAMers.”

 

DREAMers are people who were brought to the United States unlawfully as children.“We should create additional lawful pathways for immigrants to work in the United States,” Durbin said. “We should also give our undocumented population—most of whom have been here for decades—legal status, so that they can fully contribute to our society.”

 

Durbin joined Republican Senator Lindsey Graham in 2021 in introducing legislation potentially providing permanent residency and eventual citizenship to DREAMers.

The two have long worked together in trying to push through such measures in a bipartisan manner.

 

Durbin and Graham were both part of the infamous Gang of Eight – a group of bipartisan senators who passed an immigration reform bill in the Senate in 2013, though it later expired in the House under then-Speaker John Boehner.

 

Dick Durbin’s push to allow illegal immigrants to serve in the military was met with swift condemnation on social media.

Political commentator Jesse Kelly, himself a Marine, delivered with his usual style of dark sarcasm.

“Not to worry,” he said. “I’m sure that platoon full of illegals will refuse their orders to fire on you and your family because of their oath to the Constitution.”

Others pointed out just how much Democrats love illegal immigrants as opposed to our actual military. Remember when troops were being dischargedbecause they refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine?

Japan adds Chinese nuclear weapons lab and 35 others to WMD concern list

 

Japan revised its End User List, which provides exporters with information on foreign entities possibly involved in activities such as the development of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), on Wednesday. Thirty-six organizations and institutions including the China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP), the research and manufacturing center for Chinese nuclear weapons have been newly added to the list. The revision will take effect on Monday. Japan aims to prevent the outflow of civilian technology that could be diverted to military use.

Exporters are required to get approval from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry to export products to the listed organizations unless it is clear that the materials will not be used to develop weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear weapons or missiles. With the latest revision, the list totals 706 organizations in 15 countries and regions. Machine tools produced by Japanese companies and others are suspected of being used by CAEP, according to a Nikkei investigation. The economy ministry makes the list to enhance the effectiveness of its "catch-all" control system, which obliges exporters to apply for an export license for goods that may be used for the development of weapons of mass destruction even if the goods are not subject to export restrictions under international agreements. The list has been issued since catch-all controls were introduced in April 2002, and it is revised about once a year. It is not an embargo list.

In addition to catch-all controls, Japan enforces "list controls" by listing sensitive items including goods, technology or software that are subject to regulation. List controls require exporters to apply for a license when exporting or transferring listed items to a foreign country.

Even items that do not fall under this list cannot be exported without permission if there are security concerns at the export destination. In applying for a permit, the company exporting the item is obliged to check the intended use at the destination to see if there is any possibility that it could be converted into a weapon of mass destruction.

Kishida intends to ask LDP factions to refrain from holding fundraising events

 

NHK has learned that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio is preparing to ask the main ruling Liberal Democratic Party's factions to refrain from holding fundraising events, until the party takes steps to restore the public's confidence in it.

Five factions of the LDP allegedly underreported the revenues that they received from sales of tickets for fundraising events.

Fast loan group Bizcap drains small business customer’s accounts fast

 

Small businesses are struggling enough in the current economic climate without combatting aggressive lenders.

 

Ben Shamgar has had a rough trot. He lost a relative in the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7. His lenders were aware of this, he says, yet they pulled their business loan with him after a technical breach, appointed a receiver – he missed a loan repayment – and quickly drained the cash out of his bank accounts too; that’s his personal cash as well as business banking, without warning.

 

Have his lenders from Bizcap got the legal right to do that? It’s doubtful. We put a number of questions to them and received no response.

 

Bizcap, which specialises in quick-turnaround small business loans, is not registered with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), appears to rent an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) from Guildfords, a funds management group in Melbourne. An AFSL is for providing financial advice, not lending money. And an Australian Credit Licence (ACL) is the licence required for lending money. MWM was unable to establish whether Bizcap had an ACL.

 

Receivership for sole trader?

Whether it has powers to appoint a receiver to Ben Shamgar’s business is questionable as he is a sole trader.

 

Bizcap offered Shamgar a loan, and it was only 13 days into the loan and they appointed a receiver. He was previously a customer of Bizcap. He paid that loan out and they rang him up and offered him another loan, this time for $150,000. He missed one payment, offered to make a manual payment, and they put in a receiver and took money out of his bank accounts.

 

“We’ll offer you 150k refinance,” said Shamgar, “and i thought yes that’s good for Black Friday sales – 150k in extra stock would be good. I missed a payment, but told them over the phone I would make the payment manually.

 

“They agreed to the manual payment – and I spoke to them Tuesday last week – and I woke up Thursday morning and logged on to the CBA app and saw that all my bank accounts had disappeared. No visibility. I rang up CBA and asked them what the issue was. They told me to speak to someone else. She was from Bizcap’s lawyers.

 

“I knew they would have visibility. But didn’t realise they had the power to control your bank accounts. So I went to NAB and withdrew some money from ATM cards. But $47k was gone from NAB as well. That left me without money to pay the rent.”

 

They put in a receiver although I’m a sole trader and garnished all my personal savings as well. I still don’t have access to the accounts today. It was 13 days since the loan was signed.

 

“I missed the first payment and tried to make the second manually. They said today they would remove the receiver and set up a payment plan and I wondered why they did not set up a payment plan in the first place.”

There’s certainly nothing subtle about this recent WAPO article. It seems to be a dogwhistle for an assassination attempt on President Trump. It’s as if they’re looking for some whacked-out lone wolf who’s willing to take one for the team. This is what Matt Gaetz highlighted in his post on X, where he shared the article’s inflammatory title and highly disturbing artwork. Together, they seem to promote the idea of “stopping” a leader through historically deadly means.

 

The piece is titled: Opinion A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.

 

The artwork depicts a statue of Caesar merged with the face of President Trump, essentially conveying the message, “Eliminate the new dictator just as you did with the previous one.”

 

This disturbingly violent piece was written by the actual editor-at-large of WAPO, Robert Kagan, who is also a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. Incidentally, his wife is Victoria Nuland of color revolution fame.

 

Robert Kagan is a typical hateful ruling class apparatchik who doesn’t seem to care if the majority supports President Trump – if he and his pals don’t, then by golly, he must die…or something like that. And this isn’t the first time the regime has purposed Julius Caesar for its thinly veiled Trump “assassination” fantasies. Who can forget this play from 6 years ago. The left calls this “art.” Normal people call it a death threat.

 

Matt Gaetz knows exactly what the left is really up to. Here’s the post he shared on X:

The article essentially appears to advocate for this “assassination” in the name of the “common good,” drawing parallels with historical events like those in Roman times.
