Anon thinks there are a lot of "automation" tools in use on this board, and rarely are they more beneficial.

For this anon, the rub lies with "The Notables".

"What's Notable" and therefore formatted into the next bread is wholly subjective and determined by whomever bakes.

Messing with "notables" is a pain in the ass too. And then there's the problem of having automated spam flood the board when the "notables" don't meet the standards of the PAYtriot editors who scrape the site for content for their blogs about Jeffrey Epstein.

"So, what University did you Graduate from?"

Growing up just an hour south of Columbia, South Carolina, Haley grew up knowing she would go to the University of South Carolina. But she ended up sporting bright orange and purple instead of garnet and black as a college student in the early 1990s.

"All growing up, I wanted to go to the University of South Carolina. That was my school, that's who I cheered for … everything I was going to do was based on USC, and I had decided that was where I was going to go," she said in an interview with Clemson University.

But after touring Clemson for the first time, Haley had a change of heart.

"I felt it. I mean just in my soul, I felt it. Walking on campus, I felt it. That was where I was meant to be. And I never looked back after that," she said.

"It will truly go down as one of the best times of my life. I know everyone says that about college, but it was so much more than just school. It was so much more than just friends. You really felt like it was a family."

Haley's parents, both from the Punjab region of India, were heavily invested in education. Her father received his master's degree in biology while in India before getting his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. He taught at Voorhees College, an historically Black college and university (HBCU) near Bamberg, starting in 1969.

Her mother received her law degree in India and taught sixth-grade social studies at a public school in Bamberg before opening up a gift-shop-turned-million-dollar-boutique in their town, according to Politico.

Haley followed in her parents' footsteps in 1990 when she enrolled at Clemson, with a scholarship in textile management. From the age of 13, Haley kept the books for her mother's business, so when she graduated from Clemson in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in accounting, it was not a surprise to many. During her time in college, she met her future husband, Michael Haley.

Even after graduating nearly 30 years ago, Nikki Haley is still heavily invested in Clemson.

In February, to announce her run for president, Haley took the stage in Charleston to "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor, a nod to her time as a Clemson Tiger. But like other Republicans –– including Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney –– who were criticized for using the rock 'n' roll tune in politics, Haley kicked off her campaign with negative buzz.

In 2017, after the Tigers took home the College Football National Championship trophy, then-Gov. Haley issued a proclamation designating a "Clemson Tigers National Football Champions Day" and ordered a Clemson flag to fly from the Statehouse.

Tamil Tigers change their stripes: Former fighters become politicians as the struggle for self-rule in Sri Lanka goes on

The rebel-turned-politicians once carried heavy weapons, killed civilians as well as soldiers and bombed buses and trains packed with children. They wore cyanide capsules around their necks and lived by a code that required them to lay down their lives at any given moment.

Shut inside the hot confines of a house in Jaffna, located in the former northern war zone of Sri Lanka, the nine men are busy drawing the future plans for their defeated party. They are members of “Crusaders for Democracy”, a political party made up of former Tamil Tigers.

All of the party members, except for their leader, are former Tiger terrorists who fought the Sri Lankan military in a three-decade bloody war for a separate homeland, demanding almost half of the tiny island for Tamils, who make up 12 per cent of the population.

In a country where most rehabilitated Tiger rebels hide their identity, the Crusaders flaunt it. The party members even highlighted their role as “freedom fighters” in speeches prior to Sri Lanka’s elections this month.

The group’s demands, which are reminiscent of those of the past, make people wary. The Crusaders want federalism and self-rule in the north and east, home to majority of the Tamils. During the war years, brutal ethnic cleansing programs were carried out by the Tamil Tigers, purging the north and east of its vast majority of Muslims as well as a few Sinhalese settlements. In 1990 the Tigers forced out 72,000 Muslims from the north in just 24 hours.

“The Tigers are still labelled as terrorists. Our people are affected, and we want to change this,” says Venthan, a former Sea Tiger, the deadly naval wing that carried out most suicide attacks during the war.

On November 8, 1922, the War Department redesignated the depot as Maxwell Field in honor of Atmore, Alabama native, Second Lieutenant William C. Maxwell. On 12 August 1920, engine trouble forced Lieutenant Maxwell to attempt to land his DH-4 in a sugarcane field in the Philippines. Maxwell Air Force Base (IATA: MXF, ICAO: KMXF, FAA LID: MXF), officially known as Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, is a United States Air Force (USAF) installation under the Air Education and Training Command (AETC). The installation is located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. Occupying the site of the first Wright Flying School, it was named in honor of Second Lieutenant William C. Maxwell, a native of Atmore, Alabama.

The base is the headquarters of Air University (AU), a major component of Air Education and Training Command (AETC), and is the U.S. Air Force's center for Joint Professional Military Education (PME). The host wing for Maxwell-Gunter is the 42d Air Base Wing (42 ABW).
