This week all eyes were on the Willis-Wade fiasco in Fulton County, Georgia, but three less smuttily scintillating cases seem at last to be limiting the overreach of the Department of Justice respecting the J6 defendants and Jack Smith’s persecution of President Donald Trump. In interpreting criminal statutes, it seems to me that Courts should not be creative and expansively read into them things that the legislature which writes the laws did not clearly proscribe as illegal, and it appears that finally, courts higher than the highly partisan D.C. Circuit judges understand that.

Information warfare campaigns designed by the U.S. government to target Americans with the aim of splitting them apart from their countrymen through weaponized falsehoods are rooted in new methods of shaping and controlling the online communities that many Americans trust to interpret the world around them. From Russiagate to COVID-19 to Jan. 6, the newness and force of these campaigns has knocked the country senseless, with the left readily acclimating itself to third-world norms, and large parts of the right increasingly hopeless.

 

What the right has learned from a decade of information warfare targeting it is to distrust the media. Knowing, for instance, that the Justice Department interfered in the 2016, 2020, and now the 2024 elections, what else is phony? Was 9/11 an inside job after all? What about the moon landing? What haven’t we been lied to about? Our families are real, our kids are real. But what else is there to hold on to? It’s like reaching for a life raft and finding only splinters. Maybe America is fake all the way down.

 

But it’s not, and the right can’t afford to let itself be fooled into despair with so much at stake. The same U.S. government agencies and officials that pushed everything from Russiagate to the Russia bounty story and lied about the origins of COVID-19, Hunter Biden’s laptop, and the character of Jan. 6 protests are now warning that Israel’s war against Hamas is likely to drag U.S. forces into WWIII. It’s another information operation designed to disorient and demoralize the America First camp. This time, however, there’s a big differenceβ€”an influential segment of the right is amplifying the left’s campaign against them.

 

The left claims that America is a fraud at its origins, a racist hoax perpetrated against nonwhites to this very day. The left tears down monuments, desecrates our heroes, replaces our holidays, and rewrites our history to suit their pathological grievances. It’s a whole-of-party effort to force the middle class to our knees in despair, so that the country’s ruling class and the oligarchs can continue running their high-tech monopolies while defunding police forces and opening the borders to depress wages, impoverish communities, and terrorize families.

 

But now, the right is in danger of transitioning into the left. Maybe it shouldn’t be surprising that amid the ruins, some of those capitalizing on the chaos and preying on the shell-shocked are themselves from the right. A year ago, for example, right-wing influencer Jackson Hinkle sounded like a normal Trump voter. After Biden delivered his infamous Philadelphia speech accusing his political opponents of terrorism, Hinkle called him a dictator, and said he was plunging us into fascism at the behest of George Soros and Klaus Schwab while using the intelligence agencies to target freedom-loving Americans. Most of that is true.

 

Today, however, Hinkle’s Twitter feed looks like nothing more than a Soros-funded operation, pumping out reports every hour enticing clicks via the eternal threat that is antisemitism, and promoting actual America-hating terrorists in the process. Hinkle’s business model?β€œSubscribe to my X Premium for $3 to help me DEFEAT THE ZIONIST LIES.”

The Battleground States: Super Tuesday

Super Tuesday is considered the big prize in the presidential nominating process, a big election day that makes expensive and time-consuming demands of candidates, who must appeal to voters from the northeast tip of Maine to the southwest corner of California. Its contests encompass wide swaths of the American electorate, both geographically and demographically, and require candidates to make pitches to such diverse interests as Minnesota farmers, California tech workers and federal employees in Virginia.

Super Tuesday has roots going back to 1984, but became a single-day force in 1988, when Southern states banded together to counter what some had critically dubbed the "Iowa syndrome," whereby a small Midwestern state had what they saw as outsize power as the first nominating contest. If the South couldn't be first, it could be the biggest, the theory was, and candidates would need to spend time there addressing concerns of Southern voters.

The delegate haul also holds the promise of elevating a particular candidate, or forcing one or more out of the race.

What Is the Purpose of Delegates?

Delegates represent the interests of a group of people within a political party by voting on their behalf at a party’s national convention. Delegates from both parties vote on a specific candidate in the presidential primary election to select the party’s nominee that advances to the general election. The process of awarding delegates to specific political candidates varies between the Democratic and Republican parties:

Democratic delegates: Democrats use a proportional method of awarding delegates, assigning them to presidential nominees based on a percentage of support through state caucuses or primary votes.

Republican delegates: Each state can choose whether to award Republican delegates based on proportional support or through a β€˜winner-take-all’ method, where all the state’s delegates are awarded to the candidate who won the most votes.

4 Types of Delegates

There are four types of delegates that help determine their respective party’s nominee:

 

  1. Pledged: Pledged delegates are Democratic delegates who are required to vote for a specific candidate, i.e. the one who won the most votes in the primary, in a caucus, or at their national convention. There are three types of pledged delegates, including district delegates (who are elected at the district level), at-large delegates (who are elected and distributed statewide), and add-on delegates (who represent elected officials or party leaders).

  2. Unpledged: Unpledged delegates are delegates in the Democratic party who are not pledged to vote for a specific candidate. They are also known as superdelegates.

  3. Bound: Bound delegates are Republican party delegates who are required to support a specific candidate as determined by their state primaries or caucuses.

  4. Unbound: Unbound delegates are Republican party delegates who are not obligated by any state election or caucus result to support a specific candidate. These delegates are also known as superdelegates.

What Is the Difference Between Delegates and Superdelegates?

Standard delegates are selected by votes and pledged to a specific nomineeβ€”they agree to support that candidate at their party convention. Superdelegates, also known as unpledged or unbound delegates, are automatic delegates selected to the national convention, but can support any presidential candidate of their choosing.

 

In the Democratic party, superdelegates often consist of Democratic members of Congress, Democratic National Committee members, and former Presidents or Vice Presidents. In the Republican party, superdelegates consist of three members of each state's national committee.

As banks buy up bitcoins, who else are the 'Bitcoin whales'?

 

The price of Bitcoin is close to its all-time high, thanks in large part to US finance giants.

 

Investment firms like Grayscale, BlackRock and Fidelity, are pouring billions of dollars into buying the volatile digital asset.

 

In the last few weeks, these powerful institutions have become so called 'Bitcoin whales'.

 

Because of Bitcoin's system there will only ever be 21 million bitcoins.

 

19 million have been created, but many are already accounted for and probably off the market.

 

So what other organisations or individuals are Bitcoin whales, and what does the shift in wealth mean for the digital currency that was originally created as a peer-to-peer internet money?

 

The figures below are estimates gathered from direct research and published information, but should give a good overview of how Bitcoin is distributed. Our data collection ended on the morning of 29 February.

 

Bitcoins lost forever

2.4m Bitcoins

Estimates for how many bitcoins are lost forever vary between three million to as many as six million. Bitcoins can be lost because people forget the details of their digital wallets - there is no 'customer support' in Bitcoin. Just ask James Howells, who lost 8,000 bitcoins on a discarded hard drive in Wales.

 

Some of these lost bitcoins might also come from abandoned criminal proceeds left untouched. According to crypto-investigators at Elliptic, 3.15 million bitcoins have been dormant for 10 years or more. Some analysts - like those from investigators Chainalysis - say Bitcoin that hasn't been moved in five years could also be lost too. So millions more bitcoins could potentially be added to the lost pile.

 

A loose estimate that's often agreed upon is 3.5 million. But 1.1 million of those dormant coins are likely to belong to the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, so we can take that portion out of the equation. A conservative estimate for lost coins therefore is about 2.4 million, or 11% of all bitcoins.

 

Crypto-exchanges

2.3m Bitcoins

Cryptocurrency exchanges act like banks for crypto-users. You can exchange your traditional money like dollars or pounds for Bitcoin and other digital tokens. K33 researchers estimate that about 2.3 million bitcoins are kept by exchanges, either on behalf of customers or as float. Binance is the world's largest exchange and is estimated to have about 550,000 bitcoins - followed by Bitfinex (403,000), Coinbase (386,000), Robinhood (146,000) and OKX (126,000). In total it is thought exchanges hold about 11% of all bitcoins.

 

Leaving your coins on an exchange can go wrong though, for example with the collapse of FTX which left customers without access to their coins. Some Bitcoin purists are also uneasy about how a reliance on large and increasingly regulated and legally compliant exchanges goes against the anti-establishment ethos of Bitcoin.

 

Unknown whales

A Bitcoin whale is someone who holds more than 10,000 bitcoins in their digital wallet. The website Bitinfocharts uses public blockchain records to keep a Bitcoin Rich List of the 100 richest wallets, and there are about 80 wallets with 10,000 coins or more, whose owners are unknown. Owning one of these wallets would make you a billionaire. Some of them might be the wallets of people or organisations which appear elsewhere in this graph but we will never know, unless a researcher makes the link or the whale outs themselves. Binance: Nigeria orders cryptocurrency firm to pay $10bn

The Nigerian government says it has demanded almost $10bn (Β£8bn) in compensation from the cryptocurrency firm, Binance.

 

It says Binance manipulated foreign exchange rates through currency speculation and rate-fixing, which have seen the naira lose nearly 70% of its value in recent months.

 

Two Binance executives were arrested in Nigeria earlier in the week.

 

Binance has not responded to the BBC's requests for comment.

 

Nigeria is Africa's biggest economy and also one of the world's biggest cryptocurrency markets.

 

On Tuesday, Nigeria's central bank governor Olayemi Cardoso said Binance Nigeria had moved $26bn worth of untraceable funds.

 

"These allegations are weighty," Tilewa Adebajo CFG Advisory tells the BBC. "That's a huge sum - even more than the annual Nigeria diaspora remittances of $24bn".

 

"The government must have done their homework, hence the allegations."

 

Cryptocurrency transactions equivalent to about 12% of Nigeria's total income, or GDP, took place in the year to June 2023, according to Reuters news agency.

An M1 Abrams heavy tank which was supplied to Ukraine by the US and recently destroyed by the Russian militaryproved to be ineffective because it had been stripped of all sensitive technologies, Yan Gagin, an adviser to the head of Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), has said.

 

Last week, shortly after the first Abrams was sighted on the battlefield in Donbass near the city of Avdeevka, which was recently liberated by Russian troops, videos of the tank in flames near the front line began to circulate on social media.

 

The destruction of the vehicle was later confirmed by the Defense Ministry in Moscow, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the West had been warned that its military equipment supplied to Kiev β€œwill burn.”

 

In an interview with RIA Novosti on Saturday, Gagin claimed that there is nothing impressive about the Abrams, calling it β€œan empty tin can with a cannon.” According to the adviser,before the tank was handed over to Ukraine, β€œall innovations and secret technologies were removed from it so that Kiev would not get hold of them.”

 

Any Western equipment that arrives in Ukraineeither lacks many features that standard models have, or is accompanied by Western specialists, Gagin continued. He claimed that this is especially true for sophisticated Western-made long-range missile systems, which he said are operated by foreign military personnel. β€œThis guarantees that Ukraine will not steal those technologies,” he added.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk appears to agree with American investor David Sacks, who has argued that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO lost its reason to exist, but decided to embark on an expansion spree to fill the void.

 

Writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Sacks said that theUS-led bloc β€œfaced an existential crisis” in the 1990s because it no longer had rivals comparable to the Soviet Union. However, β€œrather than disband, it came up with a new mission: to expand,” the entrepreneur remarked.

Since the 1990s, the bloc has been joined by a number of Eastern European countries that used to be part of the Soviet-aligned Warsaw pact, as well as the Baltic states and several Balkan countries. Russia has repeatedly protested against NATO expansion, seeing it as a national security threat.

A $60 billion US military aid bill, part of a broader national security package, became stalled in Congress in early February due to objections from Republicans, who demanded that assistance to Kiev be paired with reforms to US immigration policy. The package has still not been passed after lawmakers reconvened following a two-week recess earlier this week.

 

Kiev has been increasingly vocal in demanding assistance from its Western backers due to dire shortages in ammunition and weaponry on the front lines. In a statement on his official Telegram channel on Saturday,Zelensky claimed that Ukraine β€œasked for nothing more than necessary to protect lives.”(they’ve received over $200 billion from the West, they cannot win. β€œWhen lives are lost, and partners are simply playing internal political games or disputes that limit our defense, it’s impossible to understand. It’s unacceptable. Zelensky’s statement followed a reported drone attack in the coastal city of Odessa. Ukrainian media claimed that the drone hit a residential building, destroying 18 apartments and killing at least ten civilians. Kiev blamed the attack on Moscow. The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Sunday that drones were used to hit military targets in multiple areas.Moscow has stated that it does not target civilian infrastructure.

 

While the US Congress was on break, Russian forces liberated the strategically important city of Avdeevka – a former stronghold of the Ukrainian military located immediately to the north of the city of Donetsk, along with several other nearby villages – and have since continued to advance to the west.

 

During a surprise visit to the troops in late February, Zelensky said that Russian forces were β€œtaking advantage” of the delays in Western aid to Ukraine, and cited severe shortages of artillery, front-line air defenses, and long-range weapons. In his latest appeal for aid during a recent meeting with US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democrats, Zelensky warned that Kiev will β€œsurely lose the war” without further funding from Washington. INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) β€” A woman that has been missing since 2017 was found in a motel in Inkster Monday. Michigan State Police say the woman made the call to family herself, saying she was being held against her will. It's the first time her family had heard from her in years.

To ensure the woman's safety, MSP is not identifying her, but told 7 Action News that the woman was in her 20s when she walked away from family in 2017 and never returned. She is now in her 30s.

On Monday, the victim’s stepmother received a call. The stepmother in turn called police and notified them the woman had told her she was being held against her will. Michigan State Police quickly approached the Evergreen Motel on Michigan Avenue.

β€œThey described it as like a crying, kind of screaming type of noise that lured them to that specific area," Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw said.

The woman was physically unharmed, but the room contained drugs and a gun. She was alone when MSP arrived.

β€œShe was pretty distraught," Shaw said.

The missing woman was reunited with family and is currently receiving mental health help. MSP will continue investigating what exactly led her away from family in 2017 and what finally led her to call for help.

"We’ll kind of look at what’s next, right… interview her if a crime did take place such as human trafficking or is it a domestic violence situation or is it different," Shaw said. β€œI don’t want to use the word kidnapping like somebody grabbed her and took her to that place. It may have started out as a relationship that turns into being held against your will and being trafficked.”

MSP has one suspect they’re looking into but have no one in custody. The surrounding community is just happy the woman is safe.

"Finding a woman after seven years or 6 years or whatever, that’s incredible," Moe Jag said.

Jag owns Big Jag Auto Service directly across the street from Evergreen Motel.

β€œYou know I never had any issue or never heard anything happen there," he said about the motel.

MSP is continuing to investigate the incident and if any other victims may be involved.

"About a decade ago I was privately told by an archaeologist that Eugene Shinn, a geologist who spent 30 years with the United States Geological Service (USGS), had fabricated and planted fake archaeological artifacts. According to the archaeologist, Shinn planted the fake artifacts around the controversial stone formation known as the Bimini Road at a time that there was intense interest in the underwater formation. Shinn supposedly hoped that someone would find the fake artifacts and publicize them. When I heard the accusation, I had trouble believing it. I decided that I would not repeat it nor publish it without some sort of genuine verification because I considered such an act to be unethical, probably illegal, and simply not something that a β€œscientist” would do. Now the proof is publicβ€”by an open admission from Shinn.

 

On April 27, 2015 Shinn spoke to a group of biology students at Florida International University with more than a third of his talk devoted to his geology β€œwork” at Bimini. During his filmed talk Shinn laughingly admitted perpetrating the fraud after being questioned by an audience member. I believe Shinn probably remains a faculty member at the University of South Florida. The film of his talk is available here, but I have made a copy of it for future reference. There may be an effort made to delete the film but I’ll repost it online if necessary.

 

Shinn refers to people who don’t believe scientists like him as the β€œunderclass.” In the talk he mentioned getting β€œhate mail” after he published a 2006 article on Bimini in the β€œSkeptical Inquirer.” I engaged Shinn in a series of cordial emails after his 2006 article appeared and asked him directly about many of the obviously untrue assertions he had made. Negotiating Peace for the United Nations

Dr. Bunche is probably best known for his role as the U.N. mediator during the Arab-Israeli conflict in the late 1940s.

Originally, the United Nations chose Sweden’s Count Folke Bernadotte to mediate the conflict with Bunche as his chief aide. How would you feel if the Sun disappeared? Many eclipse watchers across the USA surprised themselves in 2017 with the awe that they felt and the exclamations that they made as the Sun momentarily disappeared behind the Moon. Perhaps expecting just a brief moment of dusk, the spectacle of unusually rapid darkness, breathtakingly bright glowing beads around the Moon's edge, shockingly pink solar prominences, and a strangely detailed corona stretching across the sky caught many a curmudgeon by surprise. Many of these attributes were captured in the featured real-time, three-minute video of 2017's total solar eclipse. The video frames were acquired in Warm Springs, Oregon with equipment specifically designed by Jun Ho Oh to track a close-up of the Sun's periphery during eclipse. As the video ends, the Sun is seen being reborn on the other side of the Moon from where it departed. Next month, on April 8th, a new total solar eclipse will be visible in a thin band across North America.

Interesting that the paper says

Anon is doing research surveys on microflorae at the moment, and was looking up to see if any of the Lactobacillus microbes could help remove heavy metals. This research started when anon stopped infant grand daughters bloody stools in the diaper, using L. Reuteri and B. infantis. Both of these will heal the guts of infants, stop diarrhea, save infant lives. For adults, L. Reuteri is a God send if made in therapeutic amounts using yogurt. It restores testosterone levels in men, thickens skin by 14%, thickens hair, restores sleep, builds muscle, causes weight loss etc etc. 97% of Americans are missing L.Reuteri due to antibiotic use now. Anon wants to know what can be done to give this foundational gut flora back to the populations that need it. Anyway.

 

It all makes sense.

These special zeolites, [clay] if they remove the heavy metals that are binding those enzymes that break down gluten (bread proteins) and casein (milk proteins), would allow the normal gut microflora to have their food supply back in terms of enzyme digested milk and bread proteins. (according to the "Autism: A Novel form of Mercury Poisoning review above.

 

And everyone knows by now, you need those healthy microflora to kill off any bad nasty microbes that do not belong in the gut, but sometimes arrive there.

I retired off of the B737-800MAX and the other 2 models I flew, 700NG, 800NG. The 800MAX is not configured with either this door plug or the additional emergency exits like the 900MAX is. The forerunner to the 900MAX is the B737-900NG. I only saw these aircraft when taxing out and one would pass by as we held short etc………the length of these things kinda looks abnormal as related to the other 800 models, just a perception but it's still a beautiful aircraft. Same stretched fuselage. I've never been inside of one but I assume that this exact door on the 900NG's is an operable emergency exit for the desired configuation. Never heard of "door plugs" in the 900NG but I guess there could be depending on what the customer wants.

 

Boeing has developed a bad habit about not informing it's customers of things they damn well should inform them on. The MCAS on the 800MAX was another of these oversights. This was the system that brought down the 800 MAX's overseas a while back. Much due to "pilot error". "Manuvering Characteristic Augmentaion System". To configure the 800MAX with the bigger "LEAP" engines Boeing had to raise the nose gear by 8 inches for ground clearence of the lower nacelles of the LEAP. They thought that the MCAS was needed because of this. The MCAS is just another name for a anti-stall system and is only suppose to deploy in certain low speed configurations. Nose high attitude, low airspeed, flaps deployed and maybe the gear down. I forget. Basically a stall condition. Trick is not to put yourself in that postiion to begin with!!! kek

I enjoyed flying the 800MAX. It flew beautifully and "greasing" the things onto the runway when landing was much easier and more consistent than the 700 models.

SpaceX delays Crew-8 astronaut launch for NASA due to high winds, next try on March 3

The four astronauts of SpaceX's next crew launch for NASA will have to wait at least one more day to rocket into space after high winds thwarted an attempted liftoff on Saturday (March 2).

 

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will now try to launch the astronauts of NASA's Crew-8 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) no earlier than Sunday (March 3), after a 24-hour delay. Liftoff is scheduled for 10:53 p.m. EST (0353 on March 4 GMT) from Pad 39A of NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

 

"At this time, we are standing down from a launch attempt tonight due to elevated ascent winds," a SpaceX flight director said during a live webcast. You'll be able to watch the Crew-8 launch live on Sunday, beginning at 6:45 p.m. EST (2345 GMT), courtesy of NASA TV.

 

Crew-8 is SpaceX's ninth crewed launch for NASA under a multi-billion-dollar contract to fly astronauts to and from the ISS. The mission will send NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt and Jeanette Epps, as well as Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, on a six-month mission to the ISS.

 

Each of the Crew-8 astronauts is on his or her first flight with the exception of Barratt, who is making his third spaceflight. The astronauts were already suited up in their white SpaceX spacesuits, but had not yet left for the launch pad, when the launch was delayed. They'll have to do it all again tomorrow.

 

"Basically, it will be kind of like Groundhog Day," NASA astronaut Raja Chari said during commentary on NASA TV. "Because they didn't come all the way out to the pad, it's going to be a lot easier on the crew. They are going to have the opportunity to get a lot more rest than they would otherwise."

 

Saturday's delay is the latest setback for the Crew-8 mission, which SpaceX pushed back from a March 1 launch target due to weather woes. SpaceX also delayed the launch from Feb. 22 and Feb. 28 target dates to allow more preparation time after a Feb. 18 private moon lander launch from the same pad.

 

The weather forecast for Saturday's launch try was already iffy, with just a 40% chance of good conditions, according to the U.S. Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron based at the nearby Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The forecast for Sunday's launch window is better, with a 75% chance of good conditions.

 

SpaceX will use a brand-new Falcon 9 rocket for the Crew-8 mission, but its Dragon capsule is a spaceflight veteran. The Crew Dragon Endeavour was SpaceX's first-ever to carry NASA astronauts and is making its fifth spaceflight.

 

If Crew-8 were able to launch on Saturday, it would have come on a special anniversary for SpaceX. Five years ago, on March 2, 2019, SpaceX launched its first Crew Dragon mission on the uncrewed Demo-1 test flight, with helped usher in the company's human spaceflight capability.

 

"With Crew-8, we'll go from Zero-G to 50, as Falcon 9 is targeted to launch Dragon Endeavour for the fifth time with our 50th crewmember on board," SpaceX wrote in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
