WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army is establishing Detachment 201: The Army’s Executive Innovation Corps, a new initiative designed to fuse cutting-edge tech expertise with military innovation. On June 13, 2025, the Army will officially swear in four tech leaders.

 

Det. 201 is an effort to recruit senior tech executives to serve part-time in the Army Reserve as senior advisors. In this role they will work on targeted projects to help guide rapid and scalable tech solutions to complex problems. By bringing private-sector know-how into uniform, Det. 201 is supercharging efforts like the Army Transformation Initiative, which aims to make the force leaner, smarter, and more lethal.

Iran has struck Israeli military sites, including the IDF headquarters, as Tel Aviv braces for another round of attacks.

 

At least three people have been killed and dozens more have been wounded in the Iranian strikes on Israel as 'painful revenge' for a series of IDF attacks on the heart of Iran’s nuclear program and its armed forces.

 

Social media video showed interceptor missiles blasting off before a flash, a boom and an explosion of a warhead incoming.

 

One missile that breached the Jewish state's air defenses was seen hitting an area where several IDF facilities are located, including its main command center, their equivalent to the Pentagon.

 

The Israel Defence Forces had warned its attack on Tehran could last up to two weeks as Iranian military commanders and top officials were blown up in their headquarters and homes in a coordinated strike last night.

 

Operation Rising Lion targeted military sites in Iran as well as nuclear facilities in a devastating wave of air strikes - escalating fears the Middle East is on the brink of all-out war.

 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the sophisticated operation targeted an Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz as well as the country's ballistic missile program.

 

Iran vowed to enact 'painful revenge' after the strikes, with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warning Israel will face 'severe punishment'.

 

Washington distanced itself from the strikes and warned Iran not to attack US bases in the region in retaliation, while Tehran warned that the US would pay 'a heavy price' along with Israel.

Two Former USPS Employees Indicted For Stealing $80 Million In Treasury Checks

That's because two former employees of the U.S. Postal Service in Philadelphia have been indicted for their roles in a scheme involving the theft of over $80 million in U.S. Treasury checks, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

 

According to federal prosecutors, Tauheed Tucker, 23, and Saahir Irby, 27, both previously employed as mail processing clerks at the USPS Philadelphia Processing and Distribution Center, are accused of stealing thousands of envelopes containing Treasury checks, according to NBC Philadelphia.

 

The indictment further alleges that Tucker and Irby sold the stolen checks to two other individuals—Cory Scott, 25, of Ardmore, and Alexander Telewoda, 25, of Clifton Heights. Scott and Telewoda are said to have advertised the checks for sale via the messaging app Telegram.

 

NBC Philadelphia writes that once payments were received from interested buyers, Scott and Telewoda allegedly mailed the checks out. According to prosecutors, those buyers then attempted to cash the checks, unaware they had been stolen.

 

Officials report that while the total face value of the stolen checks exceeded $80 million, approximately $11 million worth were successfully negotiated at banks by the buyers.

 

All four men—Tucker, Irby, Scott, and Telewoda—face charges including conspiracy to steal government funds, theft of government property, and mail theft. Each could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

 

In addition, Irby is facing separate charges of mail theft in connection with another incident involving stolen Treasury checks.

Former US National Security Adviser John Bolton said Friday there was “never a chance” Washington, Iran, and Israel would reach a nuclear deal, following Israel’s major attack on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

 

“It wasn’t that we didn’t give diplomacy a chance. Diplomacy had no chance, given Iran’s objectives,” Bolton told CNN. A longtime critic of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Bolton dismissed recent talks as futile.

 

Israel’s strike on Iran on Friday hit the Natanz nuclear site, killing senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders and top scientists. Iran withdrew from nuclear talks, blaming the US, though officials denied involvement. Trump urged Iran on Truth Social to make a deal “before there is nothing left,” warning of harsher attacks.

Iran has accused the US of enabling an Israeli attack on its territory, declaring ongoing nuclear talks “meaningless” in light of the assault.

 

”You cannot claim to negotiate and at the same time allow the Zionist regime to target Iran’s territory,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei told Tasnim news agency. “It is unimaginable for anyone that the regime would have committed such a crime without American permission,” he said.

IAF intercepts Iranian UAVs in West Bank, Dead Sea areas, as fifth missile barrage expected

 

The IDF also identified UAVs from Iran launched towards the Dead Sea and southern West Bank areas on Saturday morning.

 

A fifth wave of missiles was reportedly launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Israel on Saturday, according to Iranian media reports.

 

Shortly after, the IAF intercepted UAVs from Iran launched towards the Dead Sea and southern West Bank areas on Saturday morning. Sirens sounded in those areas as a result.

 

"The IAF is operating to intercept and strike wherever necessary to eliminate the threat," the military statement said.

 

This newest wave comes after reports that four people were killed and over 70 were wounded in the past four barrages launched at Israel combined. This included two who were killed in Israel's central district after their bodies were rescued from under the rubble of a home hit by an Iranian projectile, with reports that a two-month-old baby may still be trapped under the rubble.

 

Iranian projectiles had already caused damage in Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan.

 

Iran had launched over 150 missiles towards Israel since Friday evening.

Strikes on Islamic Republic

These reports come as the Mehrabad Airport in Iran caught fire early on Saturday morning after explosions were heard in Tehran, according to Iranian media reports. Two projectiles reportedly struck the airport, according to Fars News Agency.

Iran's fifth wave of attacks is the latest exchange of aerial attacks since the Israeli strikes on the Islamic regime's military and nuclear facilities on Thursday.

The freezing of funds from USAid, the world’s biggest development agency, has sent shock waves through the southern African country of Malawi, one of the world’s most aid-dependent states.

 

Elon Musk, the US president Donald Trump’s billionaire adviser, last week said he was working to shut down USAid, which disbursed $43.8bn (£35.2bn) globally in 2023. Chaos is reigning in the development sector. Supplies of lifesaving medication and children’s food in many countries have screeched to a halt.

 

The US government was giving more than $350m (£282m) to Malawi annually, according to the US Department of State, equivalent to more than 13% of the African country’s 2024-25 budget.

 

More than half of healthcare spending in Malawi comes from foreign donors. Since 2003, the US has put more than $2.1bn (£1.7bn) into fighting HIV/Aids, malaria and tuberculosis.Between 2019 and 2023, foreign donations accounted for 11% of the education budget and 80% of spending on capital projects such as schools and classrooms, according to Unicef. USAid accounted for a quarter of this.

 

“Developed countries like the US know and appreciate that Malawi is one country that has invested heavily in efforts to eradicate poverty, disease and other socioeconomic ills,” said Malawi’s information minister, Moses Kunkuyu. “But, being a repetitive victim of natural disasters and global economic woes, it is clear that Malawi still needs a hand.”

 

Immediate impacts include funding for HIV prevention medication being stopped, while university students on US bursaries have been told to find alternative sources of support.

 

“Malawi is already experiencing some devastating consequences,” said Pemphero Mphamba, a health economics researcher at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Blantyre.

 

She said the economy’s dire state could worsen, pointing to high inflation, which has been above 23% since June 2022 because of repeated currency devaluations amid foreign exchange shortages. “USAid was another source of forex,” Mphamba said.

 

Last year, GDP per capita in Malawi was just $481, according to the International Monetary Fund and the already weak economy has been battered by repeated climate shocks. Cyclone Freddy killed 679 people and displaced 659,000 in March 2023. Then, last year, Malawi was hit by the worst drought in southern Africa for a century.

 

The World Bank estimated last month that for the past three years the economy has been growing slower than the population, which is now estimated to be more than 21 million.

 

The prospects for landlocked Malawi to export its way out of aid dependency look slim. It is dominated by subsistence agriculture and exported just $900m (£725m) of goods in 2022, according to the World Bank’s most recent data. Of those goods, 40% were tobacco.

 

While growing numbers of tourists have been flocking to the country for its abundant wildlife, soaring mountains and the golden beaches of Lake Malawi, they have not plugged a foreign exchange gap that has led to repeated shortages of fuel and other imports.

 

“As a country, we have been relying on one source of revenue collection for the longest time and that’s tobacco,” said Victor Chipofya, a political science lecturer at Blantyre International University. “So how does a country sustain itself with a product that globally everybody is campaigning against?”

 

He estimated several thousand people were working for NGOs and projects funded by USAid: “These were middle-class employed people, and obviously they were spending and they were able to pay taxes, and as a country we would be able to benefit from that … and now these people are unemployed.”

 

The sudden withdrawal of support could mean the reversal of some of the aid-related gains Malawi has made, said Yvonne Mhango, Africa economist at Bloomberg.

 

The end of aid dependency was not in sight either, she said: “I don’t think that will happen for a generation … It’s not like it’s got a vibrant stock exchange or debt market or foreign direct investment coming in in a big way, because they don’t have a consumer market.”

 

There were valid criticisms of aid for not catalysing sustainable, long-term growth, said Christopher Vandome, a senior research fellow at the Chatham House thinktank. “But the immediate reality is that government spending and so many of the government’s social provisions are dependent upon that donor support.”

Israel Bombs Iran. US Likely to Be Dragged into War Against the Will of Most Americans

 

The Israeli military has begun bombing Tehran, the capital of Iran, in an attack that could provoke a major, catastrophic war in the region involving the US. Israel’s strikes hit the Natanz nuclear facility. Iran also reported that Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has been killed, along with several other senior IRGC officials and nuclear scientists.

Israel has named the operation ‘Nation of Lions’ and claimed the attack was a “preemptive strike.”

 

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio claims that the US was not involved, but Israel’s Channel 12, reported that the US participated in a campaign to lull Iran into thinking an attack was not going to happen immediately. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it holds the US responsible for the attack. “The Zionist regime’s aggressive actions against Iran cannot have been carried out without the coordination and authorization of the United States.”

 

Previous reports said that Israel was considering bombing Iran to sabotage the diplomacy between the US and Iran. The attacks come as there is no evidence that Tehran is working toward a nuclear weapon, which is the consensus of the US intelligence community.

In an extreme twist of logic, Menomune lists the clinical trial for Menactra, in which Menomune was used as the control, as the basis for its safety.

 

MenQuadfi has a 5.3 % rate of infants suffering serious adverse reactions while Menveo showed an injury/adverse reaction rate of 3.5%.

Los Angeles was safe and sound for the last two nights. Our great National Guard, with a little help from the Marines, put the L.A. Police in a position to effectively do their job. They all worked well together, but without the Military, Los Angeles would be a crime scene like we haven’t seen in years. Governor Gaven NewScum had totally lost control of the situation. Why wasn’t HRC prosecuted for the emails? Put simply, Obama ultimately OK’d by using the non govt email addy to communicate w/ Clinton. Obama also had an alias along with each of his cabinet members. FDA OKs First Meningococcal Vaccine for Babies Even Though Testing Shows Serious Problems

 

The FDA has approved the first-ever invasive meningococcal vaccine (IMD) for babies as young as 6 weeks old. It is recommended that children take up to four doses.

 

Attorney Aaron Siri explained that the FDA is playing a shell game by deeming a new vaccine [MenQuadfi] to be ‘safe’, based on an existing vaccine [Menveo], that was compared to an older vaccine [Menactra], that was compared to another vaccine [Menomune] that was never tested against a proper placebo-controlled trial. In an extreme twist of logic, Menomune lists the clinical trial for Menactra, in which Menomune was used as the control, as the basis for its safety.

 

MenQuadfi has a 5.3 % rate of infants suffering serious adverse reactions while Menveo showed an injury/adverse reaction rate of 3.5%.

 

FDA just shamefully approved MenQuadfi to be injected into infants 6 weeks to 2 yrs old based on a trial that compared it to Menveo. In the trial, 5.3% of infants receiving MenQuadfi and 3.6% of infants receiving Menveo had a serious adverse reaction (which means something very serious, see definition below). But because these rates were “similar,” this product was deemed “safe” by FDA because it assumes Menveo is “safe.”

 

But Menveo was licensed based on a trial in which Menactra (among other vaccines) was used as a control; and Menactra was licensed based on a trial in which Menomune was used as a control; and Menomune was not licensed based on a proper placebo-controlled trial. In fact – and this is mind twisting – the package insert for Menomune lists the clinical trial for Menactra (in which Menomume was used as the control) as the basis for its safety. I couldn’t even dream of making this stuff up.

 

This provides a good example of the vaccine safety pyramid scheme: Menomune was licensed without a proper placebo-controlled trial and was then used as the control to license Menactra; Menactra is then used as the control to license Menveo; and then Menveo is used as the control to license MenQuadfi. And then we get a trial with 5.3 % and 3.5% of infants suffering serious adverse reactions and no one bats an eye. They grant licensure.

 

A pyramid scheme of safety, at the bottom of which there is no baseline on which safety is being judged. Just a get-it-licensed-to-profit shell game. FDA and pharma have nothing to lose here. We, as taxpayers, will pay for all of the harms suffered and, worst of all, the children who are injected and harmed and their families will really pay for the harms.

Oklahoma Riot Law

 

Oklahoma has enacted laws that address the presence of rioters in streets, particularly through House Bill (HB) 1674, which was signed into law by Governor Kevin Stitt on April 21, 2021, and took effect on November 1, 2021.

OpenAI's ChatGPT has some major AI chatbot competitors in the market: Gemini, Copilot, Claude. Now add to that list the Atari 2600. The OG video game console, which was first released in 1977, was used in an engineer's experiment to see how it would fare playing chess against the AI chatbot.

 

By using a software emulator to run Atari's 1979 game Video Chess, Citrix engineer Robert Caruso said he was able to set up a match between ChatGPT and the 46-year-old game. The matchup did not go well for ChatGPT.

 

"ChatGPT confused rooks for bishops, missed pawn forks and repeatedly lost track of where pieces were – first blaming the Atari icons as too abstract, then faring no better even after switching to standard chess notations," Caruso wrote in a LinkedIn post.

 

"It made enough blunders to get laughed out of a 3rd-grade chess club," Caruso said. "ChatGPT got absolutely wrecked at the beginner level."

 

Caruso wrote that the 90-minute match continued badly and that the AI chatbot repeatedly requested that the match start over.
