Trump Admin Will Encourage All Americans To Use Wearables, Says RFK Jr.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will soon start a massive advertising blitz to encourage uptake of wearables such as fitness trackers among Americans, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said on June 24.

“We’re about to launch one of the biggest advertising campaigns in HHS history to encourage Americans to use wearables,” Kennedy said on Capitol Hill in Washington during a congressional hearing.

Rep. Troy Balderson (R-Ohio) spoke positively about what he described as innovative wellness tools and asked Kennedy to describe how the government is promoting access to such tools. Balderson noted that research suggests that increased patient engagement can result in improved health.

“It’s a way people can take control over their own health, they can take responsibility, they can see what food is doing to their glucose levels, their heart rates, and a number of other metrics as they eat it, and they can begin to make good judgements about their diet, about their physical activity, about the way they live their lives,” Kennedy said.

“We think that wearables are a key to the MAHA agenda, Making America Healthy Again. My vision is that every American is wearing a wearable within four years.”

Balderson also asked about concerns over keeping data from wearables private. Kennedy declined to address that aspect of the matter.

In addition to his role as health secretary, Kennedy is chairman of the MAHA Commission, established by President Donald Trump to study ways to improve the health of Americans.

World’s richest 1% could end poverty 22 times – Oxfam

The world’s wealthiest have seen their fortunes increase by $33.9 trillion over the past decade, according to the anti-poverty charity

The richest 1% of the people on Earth have gained over $33.9 trillion in real terms since 2015, according to a new report by UK-based anti-poverty group Oxfam.

The amount is enough to end extreme poverty 22 times over, based on the World Bank's highest income threshold of $8.30 per person per day.

Approximately 3,000 billionaires worldwide have collectively increased their wealth by $6.5 trillion over the past decade, bringing their total net worth to 14.6% of global GDP, the report claims.

Oxfam argues that while personal wealth has skyrocketed, efforts to reduce poverty have significantly stalled.

According to the report, wealthy nations are making the steepest cuts to life-saving development assistance since 1960.

Oxfam projects that G7 countries, responsible for approximately 75% of all official aid, will reduce their contributions by 28% in 2026 compared to 2024. The UK alone is expected to decrease its spending on aid by 40% by 2027

The report also highlights the growing gap between private and public wealth. From 1995 to 2023, global private wealth soared by $342 trillion, while public wealth in the same period rose by only $44 trillion.

Over half of the world’s poorest countries are now on the brink of a debt crisis, the report warns. Many are being forced to spend more on servicing debt than on healthcare or education.

The report singles out private creditors, who hold over half of the external debt of low-income countries, for refusing to restructure loans and imposing punitive repayment terms.

According to a global public opinion survey cited by Oxfam, 90% of respondents support taxing the super-rich to fund public services and climate action.

Maureen S. Riordan is the Senior Counsel, and Acting Chief of the Voting Section, part of the Civil Rights division of the Department of Justice. She was appointed to that role in May 2025.

Riordan’s two main excuses for not prosecuting these crimes herself are obviously lies. She has told attorneys that she lacks data analysts and doesn’t have “a data guy” to review election data for irregularities and systemic fraud, and that loopholes in current law prevent her from investigating voter fraud anyway.

The eight victims in a deadly boating accident on Lake Tahoe last weekend have been identified, at least four of whom were members of the same Bay Area family, according to authorities.

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division positively identified the victims of Saturday's tragic capsizing as Josh Pickles, 37, of San Francisco, his parents, 73-year-old Terry Pickles and 71-year-old Paula Bozinovich of Redwood City, and his uncle, 72-year-old Peter Bayes. Also killed were Timothy O’Leary, 71, of Auburn, California; Theresa Giullari, 66, and James Guck, 69, of Honeyoye, New York; and Stephen Lindsay, 63, of Springwater, New York.

Ten people were on board the 27-foot gold Chris-Craft vessel when it capsized Saturday afternoon near D.L. Bliss State Park on the lake’s southwest edge as the storm whipped up high waves, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. Two people were rescued immediately after the boat flipped over. Their identities and conditions were not known Tuesday.

The 37-year-old Pickles was an executive with DoorDash, a husband and a father to a 7-month-old girl.

Josh Pickles' wife, Jordan Sugar-Carlsgaard, released the following statement Tuesday morning:

"We are devastated by this tragedy. We lost my loving husband Josh Pickles, his parents Terry Pickles and Paula Bozinovich, and Uncle Peter Bayes, as well as friends in this tragedy. No words can express the pain and anguish we feel knowing their lives were lost during what was meant to be a joyful time on the lake. Our hearts go out to those who tragically lost their lives and the two survivors of this unexpected and deadly storm on Lake Tahoe.

While the state weaponizes compliance, we must weaponize freedom

On June 18th, while the country was distracted with headlines about Trump and Iran, the U.S. Senate quietly advanced the GENIUS Act—a bill designed to "legitimize" stablecoins, but in reality, it paves the way for a permissioned, surveilled, and tightly controlled digital currency regime.

In other words: no privacy, no independence, and no dissent.

The Act even instructs the Treasury Department to evaluate new financial surveillance tech, including AI-powered monitoring systems and blockchain analysis tools. These technologies, we’re told, will help "assess privacy risks" —as if privacy itself is the threat.

Let’s be honest about what this really is: a nationalized control grid disguised as modernization.

The old CBDC fear? It just got a fresh coat of paint and a bipartisan smile. Republicans and Democrats alike are pushing the GENIUS Act, pretending it's a win for decentralization. But these stablecoins aren't free-market crypto. They’re government-approved, heavily surveilled, and programmable currencies that can be frozen, tracked, and weaponized at any moment.

Report: Iran-backed Swedish gang recruiting drone pilots to hit Israeli sites

Swedish authorities are probing an alarming development involving the Foxtrot criminal network, which is reportedly searching for drone pilots to carry out attacks on Israeli targets, according to a report by Sweden's largest newspaper, Aftonbladet.

Police sources cited in the report indicate that the network has been actively recruiting operatives through encrypted chat platforms.

The discussions reportedly involve detailed plans for using drones in coordinated assaults in Sweden and Denmark, with Israeli and Jewish sites considered likely targets.

While criminal groups have previously employed drones for surveillance and have explored arming them with explosives, this represents a serious escalation.

Although Israel and Iran recently agreed to a ceasefire following drone attacks earlier this month, experts quoted in the report caution that tensions remain high and the truce may not hold.

Swedish police have not confirmed the latest intelligence but maintain that the threat level against Israeli and Jewish interests remains elevated. American diplomatic and commercial sites are also believed to be potential targets.

Aftonbladet also cites an SVT "Uppdrag granskning" investigation in which members of the Foxtrot network allegedly admitted to carrying out attacks at the behest of Iran.

One such case was the shooting at the Elbit Systems office in Gothenburg last autumn.

Foxtrot leader Rawa Majid is believed to have received protection in Iran in return for orchestrating these plots.

"He has nothing to lose, because he has nowhere else to go," a source from the network told SVT.

Iran has denied any ties to the network. Sweden's security service, Säpo, declined to say whether the ceasefire impacts their assessment of Iran’s ability and willingness to use criminal groups to conduct violence abroad.

"What we can confirm is that Iran has previously used criminal networks in Sweden to carry out violent acts against interests perceived as threats to its regime.

We also know that international developments can affect Sweden's security situation," said Säpo spokesperson Jonathan Svensson.

This investigation follows prior attacks on Israeli interests in Sweden, including a 2023 incident in which a 15-year-old was intercepted en route to the Israeli embassy in Stockholm with a firearm, and another minor opened fire the following day. The Swedish Security Service later linked both incidents to Iran.

In January, the US Treasury sanctioned Foxtrot and Majid for collaborating with Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and using minors to target Jewish and Israeli institutions.

Israel Hayom added that Trump’s statement Wednesday that Israeli prosecutors should drop petty corruption charges against Netanyahu was partly motivated by Trump’s enthusiasm for Netanyahu’s agreement to the terms of the suggested peace plan.

Netanyahu thanked Trump for his support, and former chief justice Aharon Barak — a left-wing figure in Israel — said that he agreed that Netanyahu should probably be pardoned or be given a favorable plea deal.

As Naveen Athrappully detailed earlier via The Epoch Times, The Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) sanctioned three financial institutions based in Mexico for allegedly laundering money for cartels involved in the illegal trade of fentanyl, the Treasury said in a June 25 statement. The institutions are CIBanco S.A., Intercam Banco S.A., and Vector Casa de Bolsa S.A. de C.V.

CIBanco and Intercam are commercial banks with assets worth more than $7 billion and $4 billion, respectively. Vector is a brokerage company managing almost $11 billion in assets.

FinCEN has determined that the entities launder money in connection with illicit opioid trafficking, and have “collectively played a longstanding and vital role in laundering millions of dollars on behalf of Mexico-based cartels and facilitating payments for the procurement of precursor chemicals needed to produce fentanyl,” the statement said.

CIBanco facilitated illicit opioid trafficking by Mexican cartels such as Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Beltran-Leyva Cartel, and Gulf Cartel. Intercam was linked to CJNG, and Vector with the Sinaloa Cartel and Gulf Cartel, said the statement.

FinCEN said that between 2021 and 2024, CIBanco processed more than $2.1 million in payments from Mexico-based companies to entities in China that shipped precursor chemicals to Mexico. Intercam processed over $1.5 million during the same period.

As for Vector, the institution processed more than $1 million between 2018 and 2023.

The sanctions prohibit financial institutions in the United States from engaging in the transmission of funds from or to CIBanco, Intercam, or Vector. The prohibition also applies to any account or convertible virtual currency address administered by the three institutions.

The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) on the formulation of a Drone Sector Roadmap and Candidate Projects.

The ceremony was held at the GCAA headquarters located within Kotoka International Airport.

The Korean delegation included Principal Researchers Cho Joo-Yong and Jung Gi-hun, as well as Professor Lee Byung-seok, Director of the Drone Security Strategy Institute at Soonchunhyang University.

In addition to the signing ceremony, the visit by the South Korean delegation aimed to finalise discussions on a comprehensive cooperation plan and to conduct a preliminary stakeholder survey within Ghana's drone sector.

Under South Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme—which provides non-repayable aid in the form of financial support, goods, or services—KOTSA, a quasi-governmental agency under the Asian country’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, will implement the Ghana Drone Initiative.

The initiative supports sustainable development goals by addressing key needs in areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and human resource development.

The Drone Sector Roadmap and Candidate Projects Formulation initiative, scheduled to begin in 2025, will span eight months.

This foundational project is intended to guide the structured development of Ghana’s drone ecosystem. Additionally, the Korean delegation is planning three further projects aimed at advancing Ghana's drone sector:

Regulatory Framework and Drone Safety Management Project – Commencing in 2028 and running for five years.

Drone Pilot Training Programme – Set to begin in 2030 and continue for four years.

Welcoming the delegation, the Acting Director-General of the GCAA, Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur, underscored the increasing importance of drone operations in Ghana and the need for robust regulatory frameworks.

He noted that beyond air traffic considerations, attention must also be paid to the security implications of drone operations.

Rev. Arthur reaffirmed that the GCAA already has directives in place governing the importation, use, and operationalisation of drones in Ghana.

He also highlighted ongoing efforts to integrate drone activities into Ghana’s air traffic management systems through the use of advanced software solutions.

Describing the drone sector as a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry, Rev. Arthur welcomed the Korean initiative as timely and well-aligned with Ghana's needs.

He expressed appreciation for potential Korean support in the areas of human capacity development, technology transfer, and regulatory enhancement.

KOTSA is tasked with ensuring a safe and efficient transportation environment across various modes, including drones.

“This includes new intelligence from a historically reliable and accurate source/method that several key Iranian nuclear facilities were destroyed and would have to be rebuilt over the course of years,” the CIA statement added.

The Mossad played a crucial role in Operation Rising Lion, and reportedly enlisted its agents to smuggle attack drones into Iran via trucks, shipping containers and even suitcases.

Mossad agents inside Iran then gathered the equipment and handed it out to teams who prepared the drones for use within the country. Once airstrikes began, the drones took out air defense systems while also hitting surface-to-surface missile launchers aimed at Israel.

Drone Captures Dolphins Guiding Lost Humpback Whale to Deeper Water

Drone footage appears to show a pod of dolphins guiding a humpback whale out of shallow waters and back toward the open sea. The Dolphin Discovery Centre in Bunbury, Australia recorded the rare moment in mid-June.

According to a report by IFL Science, the footage shows what conservationists believe may be one species assisting another — a phenomenon not commonly observed in the wild.

The whale had entered Koombana Bay, a shallow area not typically part of its migration route.

While it’s normal for humpback whales to travel along this part of the coast at this time of year as they head north to breeding grounds, this animal was in an unusual and confined location tucked away in Koombana Bay.

After spotting the whale on drone footage, the local conservationist group launched additional drones and sent a boat to check for signs of injury or entanglement.

“This time of year tens of thousands of humpback whales are traveling past our coastline.

Their northward migration from Antarctica to their breeding grounds in the northwest of W.A. leads them past Augusta and Cape Naturaliste in an almost straight line heading to the warmer waters,” The Dolphin Discovery Centre writes in a Facebook post.

“Sometimes it happens that an animal gets spooked by a predator, is poorly or injured, or might have a fishing gear entanglement. These animals then often seek for shelter in calmer and more shallow parts to rest up.”

While the whale appeared to be in good health, it had wandered into the shallow part of the bay. As a boat approached to assess the situation, drone footage from the Dolphin Discovery Centre showed a pod of dolphins swimming around the whale.

Volunteers then witnessed what seemed to be a remarkable interaction: the dolphins appeared to guide the whale out of the bay and into the deeper waters of Geographe Bay, helping it return to its northward migration route.

“After observing the animal from the air and vessel it appeared to be in good health and was not entangled which was quite a relief to see.

Then the dolphins took over and while playing and interacting with each other they slowly guided their large cousin out of the bay towards the deeper waters of Geographe Bay heading back up north,” the Dolphin Discovery Centre writes.

This is not the only remarkable behavior captured by drone cameras. Earlier this week, researchers recorded drone footage showing killer whales using kelp to groom each other — an extraordinary first in marine tool use.

The exact number of ceasefire violations between Israel and Iran since President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire on June 23, is difficult to precisely pinpoint due to conflicting reports and a lack of independently verified data. However, based on available information, there have been clear violations on both sides. As I stated in a previous SITREP, ceasefires are dicey.

1. Both sides are pointing fingers.

2. Both sides have violated the ceasefire.

3. Khamanei is claiming victory (NOT A GOOD THING!).

4. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council stated that any Israeli attacks post-ceasefire would be met with a "decisive, firm, and timely response." We'll see how the fanatics respond.

Specific Incidents:

1. Of Israel acknowledged conducting strikes on Iran just before or shortly after the ceasefire’s start, including a targeted attack on a radar installation near Tehran, which was scaled back after a call between Trump and Netanyahu.

2. Iran reportedly launched a "last round of missiles" against Israel before the ceasefire (yeah right!), with some strikes occurring in the final hours leading up to the truce, potentially overlapping with the ceasefire’s start time. These included attacks that killed four people in Beersheba and injured others (cease fires are dicey).

3. Some reports that Iran is executing people accused of spying for Mossad (what's new?). Don't get caught with a cell phone!

Obviously, there are clear challenges and be careful listening to everyone on X (except yours truly 😎). What I'm providing is what is reported by legit sources.

Challenges determining violations:

1. Ambiguity in timing due to a phased ceasefire. This is why I say, ceasefires are dicey. The word doesn't get out quickly enough to every subordinate commander.

2. Both sides will lie (these will be referred to as "mutual accusations."

3. It is extremely difficult to verify because there is no neutral body to do so. The UN sucks and is anti-Israel anyway.

4. Propaganda and lies (enough said).

SO WHAT?

The most credible reports:

1. There were at least two confirmed Israeli actions post-ceasefire (e.g., the strike on a radar installation near Tehran and possible additional strikes reported by Iranian media).

2. There were at least two Iranian missile launches post-ceasefire, as claimed by Israel, though denied by Iran (sadly, people actually died in Beersheba).

This suggests a minimum of four violations total, though the exact number could be higher depending on unverified strikes or smaller incidents not widely reported.

My assessment: there were clear violations of the ceasefire destroying equipment and killing civilians. The situation remains very fluid. While the Iranian NUCLEAR program appears to have been setback months or years, the regional hatred remains and very little has changed. If the Iranian regime stays in place, very little will change.

Pray for our men and women in uniform because they're the ones who sacrifice and must respond to the gyrations of the political landscape.

The exact number of ceasefire violations between Israel and Iran since President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire on June 23, is difficult to precisely pinpoint due to conflicting reports and a lack of independently verified data. However, based on available information, there have been clear violations on both sides. As I stated in a previous SITREP, ceasefires are dicey.

1. Both sides are pointing fingers.

2. Both sides have violated the ceasefire.

3. Khamanei is claiming victory (NOT A GOOD THING!).

4. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council stated that any Israeli attacks post-ceasefire would be met with a "decisive, firm, and timely response." We'll see how the fanatics respond.

Specific Incidents:

1. Of ''Israel acknowledged conducting strikes on Iran just before or shortly after the ceasefire’s start, including a targeted attack on a radar installation near Tehran'', which was scaled back after a call between Trump and Netanyahu.

2. ''Iran reportedly launched a "last round of missiles" against Israel before the ceasefire'' -(yeah right!), with some strikes occurring in the final hours leading up to the truce, potentially overlapping with the ceasefire’s start time. These included attacks that killed four people in Beersheba and injured others (cease fires are dicey).

3. Some reports that Iran is executing people accused of spying for Mossad (what's new?). Don't get caught with a cell phone!

Obviously, there are clear challenges and be careful listening to everyone on X (except yours truly 😎). What I'm providing is what is reported by legit sources.

Challenges determining violations:

1. Ambiguity in timing due to a phased ceasefire. This is why I say, ceasefires are dicey. The word doesn't get out quickly enough to every subordinate commander.

2. Both sides will lie (these will be referred to as "mutual accusations."

3. It is extremely difficult to verify because there is no neutral body to do so. ''The UN sucks and is anti-Israel anyway.''

4. Propaganda and lies (enough said).

SO WHAT?

The most credible reports:

1. There were at least two confirmed Israeli actions post-ceasefire (e.g., the strike on a radar installation near Tehran and possible additional strikes reported by Iranian media).

2. There were at least two Iranian missile launches post-ceasefire, as claimed by Israel, though ''denied by Iran'' (sadly, people actually died in Beersheba).

This suggests a minimum of four violations total, though the exact number could be higher depending on unverified strikes or smaller incidents not widely reported.

My assessment: there were clear violations of the ceasefire destroying equipment and killing civilians. The situation remains very fluid. While the Iranian NUCLEAR program appears to have been setback months or years, the regional hatred remains and very little has changed. ''If the Iranian regime stays in place, very little will change. ''

The eight people who died in a boating accident at Lake Tahoe on June 21 have been identified by the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Coroner.

The coroner identified the victims as:

Joshua Antony Pickles, 37 years old, from San Francisco, CA;

NATO summit is ‘grim sign’ for Kiev – NYT

The US-led bloc is no longer prioritizing Ukraine, the American outlet has reported

The recent NATO summit signaled a bleak outlook for Kiev’s hopesof sustained Western support as the US-led bloc turned its attention toward US President Donald Trump, The New York Times has reported, in a feature-style review of the gathering.

NATO chief Mark Rutte, a former Dutch prime minister, hosting the event at The Hague, pledged continued support for what he described as Ukraine’s “irreversible path to membership.”

However Kiev’s aspirations were notably absent from the final summit communiqué, which offered only a brief mention of the bloc’s “enduring sovereign commitments to provide support to Ukraine,” according to the newspaper.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who was invited to the two-day summit, was “not feted as in years past,” the newspaper noted.Nor was he “the center of attention” anymore, it added. A meeting between Trump and Zelensky on the sidelines of the event also failed to produce any “specific promises,” the outlet wrote.

After the meeting, which lasted roughly 50 minutes, Trump denied that the two had discussed a potential ceasefire between Kiev and Moscow, contradicting an earlier statement by Zelensky.

”Ukraine? What’s Ukraine?” Michael John Williams, a former NATO adviser, exclaimed to the NYT. “The Europeans were saying how committed they are to Ukraine… But there was also really an attempt to keep controversial issues off the table. Ukraine wasn’t the front and center discussion it has been.”

The summit was “choreographed” to address “the security interests of NATO allies – and then comes Ukraine,” Liana Fix, a Europe expert at the Council on Foreign Relations, told NYT on Wednesday, published in a separate piece.

”There was no meaningful deliverable for Ukraine,”added Torrey Taussig, a former Biden-era Europe director at the National Security Council.

This year’s meeting marked a sharp departure from last year’s summit, where Ukraine’s NATO membership was on the agenda. This time, NATO members committed only to increasing defense spending to 5% of GDP by 2035, in response to what they called a “long-term threat posed by Russia to Euro-Atlantic security.”

On Wednesday, Rutte told reporters simply that“our aim is to keep Ukraine in the fight today.”

Members of the Congressional Jewish Caucus wrote to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday to highlight the "deeply troubling and offensive statements" of Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson.

The Jerusalem Post has previously written about Wilson, who has a history of antisemitic statements, including the promotion of the antisemitic "Great Replacement" theory, praising far-right political movements using slogans tied to neo-Nazi groups, and repeating conspiracy theories frequented in neo-Nazi circles about Leo Frank, a Jewish man who was lynched by an antisemitic mob in Georgia in 1915.

The letter, led by California Congresswoman Laura Friedman, sought clarification on the Pentagon's standards for its employees and demanded that Wilson be held accountable. It specifically asked whether Wilson's comments are acceptable under DoD standards and what precedent exists for responding to antisemitic statements from personnel.

"The remarks are not isolated or ambiguous and have long been associated with violence and hate," the letter read. "Their presence boldly and unrepentantly plastered in the public record of a senior Department official raises serious questions about the Department's commitment to opposing extremism and antisemitism."

Recently, Hegseth responded to questions about Wilson's comments at the Senate Armed Services Committee, calling them "a mischaracterization attempting to win political points."

The letter provided Wilson's exact quotes, and asked for Hegseth's response to them. It also pressed Hegseth himself as to whether he finds the comments to be acceptable language for an official representing the Department of Defense.

The letter was signed by all 21 members of the Congressional Jewish Caucus.

Who is Kingsley Wilson?

Wilson was promoted to chief press secretary from deputy press secretary in May 2025, prompting ire from Jewish groups who raised concerns over her history of antisemitic comments.

In 2023, Wilson tweeted, “Leo Frank raped and murdered a 13-year-old girl. He also tried to frame a black man for his crime. The ADL is despicable.”

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) responded by saying, “White supremacists and other antisemites have long used conspiracy theories about the Leo Frank case to cast doubt on the circumstances of the antisemitic lynching of Leo Frank."

“We are deeply disturbed that any public official would parrot these hateful and false conspiracy theories, and we hope Kingsley Wilson will immediately retract her remarks.”

Then, on October 12, 2023, she posted, “The images of the babies murdered by Hamas are horrific. I wish images of aborted babies evoked a similar global outcry.”

Democrat Rep. Ritchie Torres of New York wrote a letter to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth when Wilson was first named as the Pentagon’s deputy press secretary, saying that her appointment was “an insult to the Defense Department’s integrity.”

“Doing a basic search through her social media history, it is clear that her record is a minefield of antisemitic rhetoric, white nationalist conspiracies, and pro-Kremlin propaganda, making her unfit for any position of public trust, let alone one at the high levels of the Pentagon press shop,” he wrote.

Torres added that Wilson had previously trivialized Hamas’s October 7 massacre, “spreading inflammatory falsehoods that minimize the barbarity of the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.”

Von der Leyen faces possible no confidence vote – FT

The European Commission president has been under scrutiny over a multi-billion-dollar Covid-19 vaccine deal

A group of lawmakers in the European Parliament (MEPs) claim they have secured enough support to initiate a no-confidence vote against European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen over her failure to cooperate with a probe into a multi-billion dollar deal she struck with pharma giant Pfizer for COVID vaccines, the Financial Times has reported.

In May, the EU’s Court of Justice ruled that the European Commission wrongly denied the New York Times access to text messages von der Leyen exchanged with Pfizer CEO, Albert Bourla.

The court rejected the commission’s claim that it did not have the messages in its possession, instructing it to provide “credible explanations” why the texts, which von der Leyen herself boasted of in public, were not retained by officials.

The EC promised to come up with more detailed reasoning for its denial, but has not committed to releasing the texts.

Romanian MEP Gheorghe Piperea told the FT that he will file a motion to stage a no confidence vote on Thursday after his group secured the required 72 signatures.

Von der Leyen’s “legally unsound” refusal to share the text messages demonstrated “a continued pattern of institutional overreach, democratic disregard, and erosion of public trust in the Union’s governance,” he argued.

The MEP has called on “the European Commission to resign due to repeated failures to ensure transparency, persistent disregard for democratic oversight and the rule of law within the Union.”

In order for the vote of no confidence to succeed, more than two-thirds of MEPs need to be in attendance at the European Parliament in Brussels. Last year, 407 out of 720 lawmakers backed von der Leyen for her second five-year term as president.

Piperea acknowledged that the chances of voting out von der Leyen are slim, despite support for the initiative from some members of her own European People’s Party.

The no confidence vote offers a “crucial opportunity for constructive and substantiated criticism towards President von der Leyen,” he said. “It obliges the commission to address concerns and provide justifications.”

Bright Light Stuns Illinois Man, Then Vanishes Fast

Imagine going outside and seeing a bright light in the sky that looks a little big to be a star then it suddenly zooms away.

That happened to a man in Illinois recently and there's an official report detailing what he witnessed including pictures he captured of the object.

This is the newest report shared with the National UFO Reporting Center. According to the time stamp, this encounter happened during the early morning hours of May 29, 2025.

He said that he was working in Worth, Illinois in the Chicagoland area when he looked up into the sky toward the east and saw a very bright object. Here is a snippet of his exact words from the report:

"Amber color, remained stationary until plane approached from south. Zipped away to the east."

He said that this bright light remained in front of him for around 10 minutes before it zoomed away when the plane approached it.

I've looked at the 3 pictures that he shared and the object is a large diamond-shaped light that does not look like a star or conventional aircraft.

Worth, Illinois is not close to O'Hare International Airport which is located miles away to the northwest.

Since there is no video to show the speed of the movement of the object, we can only speculate about what it might have been.

All I can say is that the light does not look like a star or airplane. What it really is remains a mystery.

US Navy Used Munitions at ‘Alarming Rate’ To Intercept Iranian Missiles Fired at Israel

The US used SM-3 interceptors, which cost between $10 million and $30 million per missile

A senior US military official told Congress on Tuesday that the US Navy used munitions at an “alarming rate” while defending Israel from Iranian missiles during the 12-day war that Israel started with massive strikes on Iran.

Adm. James Kilby, the acting chief of naval operations, was asked during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing whether the US Navy had enough SM-3 interceptors, an advanced missile that can reach space and can cost between $10 million and $30 million for a single missile.

“We do, sir, but we are, to your point, using them at an alarming rate,” Kilby told Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), who said the US was using a large number of munitions to defend Israel.

Kilby continued, “As you know, those are missiles procured by the Missile Defense Agency and then delivered to the Navy for our use. And we are using them quite effectively in the defense of Israel.”

It’s unclear how many SM-3 missiles the US Navy fired to defend Israel during the 12 days of war. The munitions were also used last year when Iran fired missiles and drones at Israel in April 2024 in response to the Israeli bombing of its consulate in Damascus and in October when Iran launched another attack over Israel’s assassination of Hamas’s political chief, Ismail Haniyeh, when he was in Tehran.

The US also expended a lot of munitions during its bombing campaigns against the Houthis in Yemen. President Trump’s airstrikes in Yemen, which lasted from March 15 to May 6, were particularly violent and killed more than 200 civilians. Despite the heavy attacks, the Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, were able to keep up attacks on US warships, and Trump eventually gave up trying to stop them from firing at Israel.

While the war against the Houthis was largely a failure, US officials see it as a practice for a future war with China in the Taiwan Strait, a conflict that could quickly turn nuclear. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month: “Despite the wear and tear, Navy officials said the fight with the Houthis offered invaluable combat experience, and the Red Sea conflict is viewed inside the Pentagon as a warm-up for a potential ‘high-end’ conflict with China.”

The White House lashed out at a House Democrat who wrote on X that Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller — who is Jewish — should “go back to 1930’s Germany.”

“What an absolutely disgusting comment from a Congressman to a Jewish WH official,” Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly wrote on X on Thursday, quoting Rep. Mark Pocan’s (D-Wis.) post.“Pocan must apologize — not just to Stephen, but to his constituents — and then seek professional help. This crazed antisemitic hatred from Dems emboldens radicals to target Jewish Americans.”

Pocan’s Wednesday post was a response to one by Miller where he said New York City is “the clearest warning yet” of what happens to societies that fail to “control migration.”

Though not explicitly stated, Miller was likely referring to Zohran Mamdani’s apparent Democratic primary win in New York City’s mayoral race earlier this week. Mamdani, who is Muslim, immigrated to the U.S. from Uganda when he was seven. Mamdani has been the subject of xenophobic attacks during his campaign, including from some conservative figures who said New York City would see another Sept. 11 if he becomes mayor.

Pocan declined to apologize, instead saying he is not engaging in a “false debate” with the “people who make up the racist base of the GOP.”

“I’m confident normal people are as troubled by his views as I am, and understand he is doing Nazi-like things to people in the name of his extremist views,” Pocan said in a text message to POLITICO. “They rounded up people in the 30’s, just as they are today with zero due process.

UFOs, Trump turbulence and other disturbances rocking the planet

Tim Gallaudet is not alone.

Literally, with his five dogs scampering underfoot at his Annapolis home on this particular day, but also cosmically: He believes extraterrestrials fly among us.

That Gallaudet is a retired rear admiral of the Navy and former acting and deputy administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, arguably adds credence to a belief that, while not uncommon, tends to draw eye-rolls.

Gallaudet has testified before Congress on the subject and is among a group of prominent scientists and former governmental officials pushing for legislation to increase disclosure of videos and other evidence of UFOs, or what is now more officially known as UAPs, for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.

A graduate of the Naval Academy, Gallaudet has a master’s degree and Ph.D in oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego.

After a public service career in which he served in posts including Oceanographer of the Navy and acting Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere, he is now CEO of Ocean STL, a marine technology and management consulting company.

He and his wife, Caren, a Naval Academy graduate and former Navy diver, have three daughters, including one who just completed her first year at the academy. He’s written a memoir that is undergoing Pentagon review and is slated for publication later this year.

In an interview with The Baltimore Sun that has been condensed and edited for clarity, Gallaudet spoke about his close encounters with evidence of UAPs, the “palace intrigue“ of the first Trump administration and the cutbacks of the second, and other phenomena of the natural world.

What do you know about UAPs, and why would the government not come clean about them?

That they’re real and that the government has a trove of UFO videos and materials that they’ve been hiding from the public and Congress for decades.

There’s a partial national security imperative to not reveal everything we know about UFOs, but to reveal the fact that we’re not alone in the universe … that I believe is something the American people should know.

The American people have a right to know the nature of reality. It’s just not good policy for the government to say, we can’t control our airspace or water space, because they occur in the water too.

I know people who’ve seen classified video of these things underwater… They’re afraid of admitting that we are not in total control, and that is a whole paradigm shift, right?

What I do really know is that there’s more than just one type, species, whatever you want to call them, so it’s not just one ET… And we don’t know where they come from. It could be the other parts of the universe or another dimension.

Why did you write a memoir and title it, “Holding Fast in Heavy Seas: Leadership for Turbulent Times”

The Navy [is] an organization that imbues you with the values and characteristics of good leadership, from day one at the Academy. And so I learned a great deal about leadership in the Navy.

That’s what the Navy does. I came to the civilian agency, which I loved because I was an oceanographer in the Navy and a meteorologist. I did so many things that NOAA does… I absolutely loved working there.

And a lot of people came to me and they said, ‘Hey, Tim, you were a Navy admiral. No one’s ever taught me about leadership. What do you think about leadership? What would you do in this situation that happened to me?’

They wanted to know what it was, what it took to be a good leader, because they wanted to positively influence people. And that’s exactly what I want this book to do. I wanted to positively influence people who want to be better leaders, and I do it by sharing my story.

Half the book is about my Navy experience… And then it was about leading NOAA under Trump… It was not easy. That’s why the subtitle is, “Leadership for Turbulent Times.”

Absolutely, yes, trying to lead on issues and advance an issue, for example, about ocean stewardship, or coral reef conservation, or ocean mapping, improving America’s weather model, all those things — how to do it, and thread the needle of making it attractive to an administration that maybe might not be receptive to environmental and science applications, right?

So, ultimately, the title, “Holding fast in heavy seas.” And then there [were] times after January 6, you name it, where I thought about quitting, resigning in protest.

There were many times, and I didn’t because I realized, well, if I left, there’d be a vacuum they’d fill with some political hack who had no appreciation for these people and their mission…

There were times when I thought about leaving, and people asked me to stay because they felt like I was having a positive influence on them and the agency.

What do you think about the NOAA cutbacks under the second Trump administration?

Ultimately, I think government efficiency is good. Our national debt, the interest we’re paying on it, is exceeding the Pentagon’s annual budget.

That’s not a very good place to be. We need to cut back. I do see a lot of inefficiencies in government… though I don’t think the cuts for NOAA are good, because they’re not targeted.

They’re just across the board. And so you’re seeing a decline… the skill of the American weather model actually dropped in a metric… That’s bad, especially as hurricane season approaches.

These weather balloon data are not coming in because they don’t have the staff. So that’s just not a purposeful cut. So they didn’t think about what they were doing.

The employees of NOAA are dedicated, especially the Weather Service. They’re much like the military. They view their job as a no-fail mission, and I think that’s true, so they are going to do whatever it takes…

When a bunch of tornadoes were predicted to occur, they just brought everybody in, and they worked long hours and they made it happen.

So they’re going to do that. But the trouble is… the models need data, and right now that we can’t staff all the data collection that we want to do.

What are you anticipating for this year’s hurricane season, and are storms becoming more intense?

There’s a possibility that that’s an outcome in several climate projections. However, climate projections have a great deal of uncertainty… They depend on people, and people are even harder to predict than storms.

When you look at what has happened compared to what has been projected, we’re not seeing all that doom and gloom… We have to be more disciplined and precise about how we talk about climate.

I am no denier… but when we start getting so astray from the science… That’s why it’s so polarized.

Fossil fuels — we can’t wean ourselves off them by 2050. It would be irresponsible to do so because of our quality of life… India and China aren’t going to be doing this, so why would we act alone?

There has to be a more deliberate thought process about energy transition. It should occur, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of human well-being.

What was it like for someone with your deep knowledge of oceanography and meteorology to lose your home in Hurricane Katrina while living in coastal Mississippi and based at Stennis Space Center?

That was a really traumatic thing for our family. We knew it was coming. And we had evacuated so many times that year that we kind of got jaded.

We said, OK, let’s just put everything in the second story of our house — we know that the bottom [floor] will get flooded, the top will get shredded by wind, and maybe that stuff will stay safe.

The Weather Service did a great job. We evacuated on time. Others in our neighborhood who didn’t die…

It was like the arm of God just… took out every home and reduced it to a slab and pushed it all against Interstate-10, and we came back to that. And it was very emotional.

You were ready to walk away from the wreckage, but Caren wanted to search the rubble, where you found, amazingly enough, some family china and other treasures.

She still had some hope. I was so done. I felt violated. We found a lot of things, [including] my academy ring. And so that comes out when I was leading NOAA because that became my job… to inspire hope. I learned that from Caren.

WashPo: Netanyahu Decided on Iran War Last Year, Then Moved to Recruit Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided on launching a war with Iran last year and just made up some phony intelligence to justify an attack and encourage President Donald Trump to join in.

In the fall, long before President Donald Trump embarked on an effort to resolve concerns over Iran's nuclear program through negotiations, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had already set Israel on the road to war, according to current and former Israeli officials.

After Israel decimated Iran's air defenses in a missile skirmish and crippled its main ally, Hezbollah, in October, Netanyahu issued a general order to prepare for a strike, the current and former officials said. Israeli intelligence officials began huddling to compile lists of dozens of Iranian nuclear scientists and military leaders who could be targeted for assassination. Israel's air force began to systematically take out air defenses in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq to clear the skies for future bombing runs against Iran.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials were pursuing another track in their preparations – to sway Washington. Israeli officials have long believed that military action with U.S. participation to target the Iranian nuclear program would be more effective than Israel going alone. On Saturday, Trump indeed joined the conflict, ordering U.S. forces, including B-2 strategic bombers, to strike three Iranian nuclear sites.

Throughout the fall, the Israelis had met with their Biden administration counterparts to discuss intelligence collected by both countries in the summer that showed Iranian nuclear scientists were gathering to resume theoretical research on weaponization, according to three people with knowledge of the matter. But U.S. intelligence analysts did not conclude that the Iranian leadership had made such a decision – an assessment U.S. spy agencies revisited and maintained throughout the spring under the new Trump administration and up until the time Israel launched strikes, said five people familiar with the conclusions.

In private conversations, however, senior Israeli government officials said they had already decided by March, weeks before Netanyahu met Trump in the Oval Office on April 7, to strike Iran with or without U.S. participation by June at the latest, said two people with knowledge of the matter. The reasoning was that Iran would have rebuilt its air defenses by the latter half of the year, one of the people said.

Ultimately, when Netanyahu finally launched his surprise attack on Iran in the early hours of June 13 while Trump's negotiations were still underway, the decision was not so much driven by new intelligence indicating an Iranian sprint for a nuclear weapon or any imminent threat to Israel. Rather, Israel seized on what it saw as a unique opportunity to execute plans, carefully laid months and years in advance, to heavily damage a weakened Iran that had long waged a bloody proxy conflict with Israel and to set back Iranian nuclear and missile programs, Israeli and U.S. officials and advisers to both governments say.

None of this is particularly surprising, though it is funny considering Trump's floundering comments about how Israel "doesn't know what the f–k they're doing."

Religious zealot admits to crucifying beloved pastor in his Arizona home during jailhouse interview

A religious militant accused of a violently motivated attack of an elderly pastor confessed to 'crucifying' him during a chilling jailhouse interview.

On April 28, during a routine welfare check at a New River home, police officers found 76-year-old Pastor William Schonemann - known in the community as 'Pastor Bill' - dead and covered in blood, with his body spread out and hands pinned to the wall.

Nearly a month later, 51-year-old Adam Christopher Sheafe was arrested following a manhunt linked to a series of burglaries - during which authorities discovered evidence in his vehicle that allegedly connected him to the gruesome murder.

Now, almost two months after the horrific discovery, Sheafe confessed to the brutal killing of the beloved pastor during a jailhouse interview with True Crime Arizona correspondent Briana Whitney - and revealed a list of additional intended targets across several states, all religious leaders.

'I drove from Phoenix to Bill's house, like two in the morning on a Sunday night, and I executed him,' Sheafe blatantly admitted during the interview.

On Monday, through a jail-issued electronic device, the 51-year-old inmate at the Coconino County Detention Facility spoke about his 'mission' to punish religious leaders who he believed were misleading Christians.

He claimed that Christianity is wrong, asserting that only the Old Testament should be considered authoritative.

Most of the planning, as Sheafe described, came while he was broke and camping in an Arizona desert following his release from federal prison - the same time he spotted his first target.

'Starting in Arizona, where I was born,' Sheafe said. 'Where it starts and where it ends, like the Garden of Eden.'

In the interview, Sheafe revealed that his initial target was a priest in Phoenix, whom he followed home after Easter services with the intent to kill.

He confessed that this killing was meant to be the first 'execution' in a series of 14 he had meticulously planned across the country.

'From there, it was Las Vegas, Nevada, Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, Billings, Montana, Detroit, Michigan, New York, New York, Charlotte, North Carolina, Mobile, Alabama, Beaumont, Texas and El Paso, Texas,' he listed.

Four of his targets, Sheafe explained, were 'going to get hit in Arizona.'

'I was going to put the Ten Commandments in order on each of the priests,' he chillingly said.

Last month, the Trump administration tapped Palantir to help build a massive system to allow federal agencies to better share their data with each other, creating a huge database that will serve as a surveillance tool for the state. Palantir has also been angling to get involved with the U.S. Navy’s efforts to fast-track warship building.

Palantir has been the highest performing company on the S&P in 2025, with its stock price surging 80 percent this year alone.

Given Miller’s involvement in Immigration and Customs Enforcement, his financial stake in Palantir should raise significant concerns over potential conflicts of interest. Should he direct an update of DHS’s digital systems, Palantir could stand as a likely beneficiary.

Virginia Canter, chief counsel for ethics and anti-corruption at Democracy Defenders Fund, told POGO that Miller was walking a thin line. “If he hasn’t stepped over the line, he’s just on the verge of it,” Canter said.

“I just don’t think anybody would be comfortable with him keeping this stock,” she added.

Trump’s immigration crackdown is already sure to line the pockets of many surveillance and private prison companies—now it might make one of his closest advisers a pretty penny, too.

The US Government is covering up alien interactions for one major reason, a seasoned UFO researcher and lawyer has claimed.

Ufologist and public speaker Danny Sheehan said the Pentagon and the CIA are colluding to hide the "truth" about aliens and have done so since the Roswell crash of 1947.

He claims the US may have fought in Vietnam to find aliens and believes the government was involved in the death of chemical engineer Karen Silkwood.

The former Kerr-McGee employee died in a car crash in November 1973 while trying to meet a New York Times journalist about the working conditions at a plutonium fuels production plant in Crescent, Oklahoma she worked in.

In a sit down with former UFC champ Georges St Pierre on government cover-ups, Sheehan, who claims to have been investigating government corruption for 50 years, said Washington DC threatens workers who speak out.

He said: "Anyone inside the military, anyone inside the government who had any encounter with this information about them was threatened. They would threaten to fire them.

"They threatened no more promotions if they talked about it. And then they started classifying [information], in case anybody talked about it, they could be criminally prosecuted."

St. Pierre shot back: "Why is it hidden? Is it because of the fear that the society will go completely insane or is it because they fear one of our adversaries would use it and weaponise it and we want to stay ahead?"

Sheehan responded: "It's the very end of what you said. It's 'we want to stay ahead', that's the whole idea.

"One of the most important revelations you can come to when you're investigating this particular area is you come to the kind of shocking and sad conclusion that our US military views its mission as establishing full military domination over the planet.

"They can't allow any other nation-state or entity to be allowed to stand the slightest chance of being able to defeat us in a military engagement."

It comes as Britain prepares for US-style hearings to hear from RAF, Army and Navy whistleblowers about experiences they have been previously banned from revealing under military non-disclosure rules and for fear of ridicule.

The UK’s new UFO Disclosure Group secured a meeting with a minister from the House of Lords to set up a forum where alien whistleblowers can come forward with their evidence.

The group was set up by documentary film maker Mark Christopher Lee to push for transparency on reported sightings of UFOs - aka unidentified aerial phenomena or UAPs.
