‘That’s What I Call Results!’: Trump Admin Saves Jobs, Kicks 1500 Non-English-Speaking Truckers Off the Road

 

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy revealed that there have been about 1,500 truck drivers who do not speak English taken off the roads as part of a push to ensure foreign truck drivers are not causing accidents.

 

Back in 2016, the Obama administration stopped enforcing English proficiency requirements for truckers, according to a report from The Daily Signal.

 

But in May, Duffy issued a guidance making clear that truck drivers who cannot demonstrate a proficiency in English cannot drive.

 

The 1,500 drivers were taken off the roads within the first 3o days of the rules once more being enforced, according to The Daily Signal.

Russia’s first patients could begin receiving a newly developed cancer vaccine within the next few months, Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, has announced. The breakthrough drug is a personalized, AI-assisted, mRNA-based vaccine designed to target malignant tumors using the patient’s own genetic data.

 

Speaking to RIA Novosti on Saturday, Gintsburg confirmed that the experimental phase of administering the treatment will start “in the coming months,” in cooperation with two leading oncology institutions – the Hertsen Research Institute and the Blokhin Cancer Center in Moscow. According to Gintsburg, the Gamaleya Center is responsible for producing the vaccine, while patient trials will be conducted by the partnering clinics.

 

The development of the vaccine began in mid-2022 and applies messenger RNA (mRNA) technology. The treatment works by training the patient’s immune system to recognize tumor-specific proteins (antigens) and destroy malignant cells throughout the body using cytotoxic lymphocytes.

Notoriously Liberal Circuit Court Rules LA Covid Vax Mandate Must Stand – Even If It Doesn’t Work: ‘Efficacy is Irrelevant’

 

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that a COVID vaccine mandate for the Los Angeles Unified School District should be upheld even if the shot cannot stop transmission of the virus.

 

The ruling overturned an earlier decision stating that the district violated employees’ constitutional rights when they were fired for not getting the jab, Legal News Wire reported.

 

The challenge was originally brought back in 2021 by an organization called California Educators for Medical Freedom. They were joined by individual plaintiffs, and later by the Health Freedom Defense Fund.

 

The lawsuit said the district violated the rights of workers to refuse medical treatment by forcing them to get the COVID vaccine while offering no exemptions and threatening to fire them.

A federal judge dismissed the case, relying on precedent set in Jacobson v. Massachusetts. That case, however, dealt with smallpox, which had an inoculation that was proven effective. It was also decided 120 years ago.

 

The fired workers then appealed to the Ninth Circuit.

 

The district tried to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming the mandate was no longer in place. The court admonished them, however, accusing the district of trying to “tactically manipulate” the judiciary by constantly rescinding and then reupping the mandate to gain a dismissal, according to Legal News Wire.

Unitree's R1 humanoid robot starts at just $5,900. That's more than $10,000 less than the company's G1 humanoid, which starts at $16,000.

 

While that's quite a low price in the humanoid robot market, where top-of-the-line models can cost more than $100K, it's essential to understand that Unitree's advertised price may only be for buyers in the Chinese market.

Japan joins multinational space defense drill

Townsville, Australia – Japan's Air Self-Defense Force has taken part in a multinational tabletop space defense exercise in Australia aimed at enhancing cooperation among like-minded countries.

The drill, part of the Talisman Sabre exercise led by the United States and Australia, was held at a military facility in Townsville, northeastern Australia, in July, bringing together nearly 10 countries.

 

The SDF, which has participated in tabletop exercises hosted by the U.S. military, took part in the Talisman Sabre drill for the first time.

Participants worked on procedures for dealing with and detecting satellite jamming signals and on how to avoid collisions with space debris.

 

The Outer Space Treaty, effective since 1967, prohibits the signatories from placing nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction in space while emphasizing the principle of peaceful use of outer space.

However, China and Russia are believed to be developing so-called killer satellites capable of destroying other nations' satellites.

 

Last month, Japan's Defense Ministry said in its space domain defense guidelines that countries like China and Russia have intensified efforts to develop technologies that disable foreign satellites, increasing threats in the domain.

The ministry plans to launch a space domain awareness satellite for surveillance in fiscal 2026 as part of moves to enhance Japan's collaboration with its ally and like-minded nations.

 

"There are no borders in space, so it is impossible for a single country to cope with (problems) alone," said 1st Lt. Keigo Haneishi, who served as the ASDF commander during the tabletop drill.

"The exercise provided an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation among like-minded countries."

The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade.

Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America?

A Republican Party social media post on Friday aimed at promoting American manufacturing has drawn ridicule online after users identified the car featured in the image as a presumably Soviet-made Lada, not a product of the US auto industry.

The image, posted to the party’s official account on X, shows US President Donald Trump standing in front of a bright yellow sedan. The caption reads:

“A Big Beautiful Bill will help bring back the great American car,” referencing legislation recently signed by Trump to extend tax cuts and promote domestic automobile production.

 

But online commentators quickly noticed the car was no symbol of Detroit. “That’s a Soviet VAZ-2101, better known as a Lada 1200,” read one top comment, accompanied by laughing emojis.

Others chimed in with jabs like “Make Lada Great Again” and “Bringing Soviet prosperity to a decaying America.”

 

Auto experts confirmed the mistake. “That car is either a Lada 2101 or a Fiat 124 — and certainly not American,” said Artem Bobtsov, speaking to RBK on Saturday.

“The Fiat 124 was the model the Soviets used to build their first Zhiguli, so it’s possible the image features either. But what’s clear is that it isn’t American-made.”

 

RBK suggests the image may have come from a European stock photo database. Auto analyst Maxim Kadakov noted, “This car appears to be registered in Hungary. I

t’s likely the designers just grabbed a rusted-out old photo from the internet to avoid copyright issues with American manufacturers.”

 

The post was meant to celebrate Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” a sweeping tax and spending law passed in July. The legislation includes tax breaks for Americans buying US-assembled vehicles and cuts to federal spending.

However, critics — including Tesla boss Elon Musk — say it will balloon the federal deficit and national debt. Musk warned the bill could push the deficit to $2.5 trillion.

While the Republican Party has not deleted the post, the online reaction has been scathing. “I didn’t know Lada had a factory in the US,” wrote one user. “Will there be a new trade deal with Russia next?”

US First Lady Melania Trump “likes” Russian President Vladimir Putin, but is disappointed over the continuation of the Ukraine conflict, President Donald Trump has said. Moscow is willing to negotiate but has maintained that any talks must address the root causes of the conflict.

 

Since assuming office this year, Trump has said he respects both Russia and Putin and wants to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict. In recent weeks, however, he has increasingly expressed frustration over a lack of progress in the peace process and has threatened Moscow with more sanctions.

 

In Tuesday’s episode of Pod Force One, the US president said: “We know Putin and she [Melania] likes him,” adding that he “got along with him very well.”

Ukrainian attack kills woman near Europe’s largest nuclear power plant – officials

A woman was burned alive in her vehicle in a Ukrainian drone and artillery strike on Europe’s largest nuclear power facility, according to regional authorities and plant officials in Energodar, in Russia’s Zaporozhye Region.

The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was brought under Russian control in March 2022, shortly after which the region’s residents voted in a referendum to join Russia.

At around the same time, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) deployed a monitoring mission to the ZNPP, which has remained on-site to this day.

 

The attack on Saturday morning targeted an auxiliary facility located in the industrial zone of Energodar, just 1,200 meters from the perimeter of the ZNPP.

According to the facility’s operator, the incident led to a fire that engulfed a civilian vehicle unrelated to the plant’s operations.

“To our deep regret, a deceased civilian was found inside the vehicle,” the plant operator reported via Telegram. Plant officials stressed that there was no threat to the nuclear reactors’ safety.

 

Firefighters attempting to extinguish the blaze were also targeted by a Ukrainian drone, although no casualties were reported among the emergency crews.

The mayor of Energodar, Maksim Pukhov, warned residents not to approach the site due to “a high risk of repeated attacks,” adding that Ukrainian UAVs were severely hampering rescue and investigative efforts.

 

The IAEA monitoring team confirmed hearing explosions and seeing smoke rising from the direction of the auxiliary site.

“Any attack in the vicinity of a nuclear power plant – regardless of the intended target – poses potential risks also for nuclear safety and must be avoided,” said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, who once again urged “maximum military restraint near nuclear facilities.”

 

The ZNPP has been repeatedly targeted by drone and artillery strikes in recent years.

Russian officials have accused Kiev of committing “nuclear terrorism” and warned that continued attacks near the facility could result in a catastrophic incident.

In previous strikes, UAVs have hit areas near the reactor containment domes and the plant’s training center.

Possessing one in public could lead to a prison sentence of up to four years. The change is part of a wider government effort to curb knife violence.

 

Over 1,000 weapons were surrendered in July during a month-long amnesty campaign aimed at removing dangerous items from the streets, according to the Home Office.

The ban follows a series of fatal knife attacks that have shocked the nation. In 2024, 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana killed three girls and injured 10 others at a Taylor Swift-themed children’s recital in Southport.

 

The attack reignited public anger and led ministers to promise tougher rules on online weapon sales, stronger age checks, and bans on certain bladed items such as zombie knives and machetes.

In 2024, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said knife crime was at epidemic levels and promised to crack down on lethal weapons.

He later confirmed ninja swords would be banned and said the government would deliver on its promises.

 

The new law is part of “Ronan’s Law,” named after 16-year-old Ronan Kanda, who was killed in 2022 with a ninja sword.

The Krasheninnikov volcano on Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula has erupted for the first time in modern history, after a massive offshore earthquake triggered renewed volcanic activity in the Russian Far East, local authorities have said.

The eruption occurred at 4:50am local time on Sunday, sending a 6,000-meter ash column into the air from the 1,856-meter-high peak, according to the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT).

 

“This is the first historic eruption of Krasheninnikov in 600 years,” Olga Girina, head of KVERT, told RIA Novosti. She said a lava dome was forming on the slope, with strong steam-gas emissions and a steady ash plume rising from the northern crater.

Named after explorer Stepan Krasheninnikov, the volcano comprises two overlapping stratovolcanoes within a large caldera in the Kronotsky Nature Reserve, about 50 kilometers from the regional capital, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

 

The last lava effusion at Krasheninnikov occurred around the year 1463, give or take 40 years. Fumarolic activity was recorded in 1963, but no eruption had been documented until now.

KVERT raised the aviation color code from green to orange and reported that ash had drifted 75 kilometers east. Deposits were observed inside the nature reserve, but none reached nearby towns.

 

The latest eruption followed an 8.8-magnitude earthquake that struck southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on July 30, prompting tsunami alerts and evacuations across the Pacific.

In the immediate aftermath, Klyuchevskaya Sopka – one of Eurasia’s tallest volcanoes – also erupted in what officials called its strongest event in 70 years.

Four Russian civilians injured in latest Ukrainian drone raid

For the second time in five days, drone triggers sirens in southern Israel before being intercepted by Israeli Air Force

The IDF said Sunday it intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle launched from Yemen, marking the latest in a series of cross-border attacks linked to the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

 

The drone triggered an alert in the southern Israeli community of Bnei Netzarim, near the Egypt-Israel border.

The military confirmed the UAV, which entered Israeli airspace from Yemen, was successfully downed by the Israeli Air Force. There were no injuries or damage reported.

 

Shortly after the alert was issued, the Home Front Command announced the incident had concluded.

“Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration in Bnei Netzarim, a suspicious aerial target launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF [Israeli Air Force],” the IDF said in a statement said in a statement.

 

On Friday, Israeli forces intercepted a ballistic missile that prompted widespread alarms in central Israel, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea region and the West Bank.

The missile was downed without casualties, but flights were temporarily delayed at Ben Gurion International Airport.

 

Earlier in the week, additional UAVs were intercepted over Egyptian territory, including near the community of Shlomit in the Eshkol Regional Council. In those instances, alerts were limited, and no injuries or damage were reported.

On Tuesday, another ballistic missile was intercepted after alarms sounded in major urban areas, including Tel Aviv, the Yarkon region and parts of the West Bank.

 

Despite repeated Israeli airstrikes targeting Houthi infrastructure in Yemen, the rebel group has continued its attempts to strike Israeli territory.

Russian drone attack destroys Lithuanian humanitarian aid warehouse in Kyiv

A Russian drone strike destroyed a warehouse belonging to Blue/Yellow, a Lithuanian humanitarian aid organisation for Ukraine, during a large-scale attack on Kyiv on the night of 30-31 July.

 

Details: As noted by the organisation, their Kyiv warehouse was completely destroyed as a result of the attack. Neighbouring buildings were also seriously damaged.

Blue/Yellow reports that this warehouse was one of several that the organisation uses to temporarily store humanitarian aid from Lithuania before sending it to the front.

 

At the time of the impact, the premises were practically empty – only personal protective equipment (helmets, vests) for employees and medics were stored there. The organisation suffered no serious losses.

"No one in Ukraine is immune from such attacks. This is the everyday reality of war. The most important thing is that no one was injured.

The foundation has not suffered serious losses, so our work shall not stop – we will continue to collect funds and send them to the defenders of Ukraine", said the director of Blue/Yellow, Laura Paukštė.

 

Background:

Earlier, a field base belonging to Norwegian People's Aid, a humanitarian organisation assisting with mine clearance in Ukraine, was hit in Mykolaiv on the night of 23-24 July.

Egils Helmanis, Mayor of the Latvian city of Ogre, was injured during his volunteer mission to Ukraine, likely near a frontline area.

Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 60 Russian drones and one Iskander-M ballistic missile during a massive aerial assault overnight.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this via Telegram.

 

Between 19:00 on Saturday, August 2, and the morning of August 3, Russian forces launched 83 drones and missiles against Ukraine, including 76 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of decoy UAVs, launched from Shatalovo, Kursk, and Millerovo (Russia); one Iskander-M ballistic missile fired from Russia's Bryansk region; five S-300/S-400 surface-to-air guided missiles launched from the Kursk region; and one Kh-22 cruise missile launched over the Black Sea.

 

The attack was repelled by Ukrainian fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, drone defense units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 09:00 on Sunday, August 3, preliminary data indicates that air defenses neutralized 61 aerial targets, including 60 enemy drones (Shaheds and decoys) across the north, south, east, and center of the country, and one Iskander-M missile.

Impacts from six missiles and 16 drones were confirmed at eight locations. In addition, debris from intercepted targets was recorded falling in two other areas.

Russian drone strike damages 16 homes in Putivl community, Sumy region

Russian forces launched a drone attack on a village in the Putivl community of the Sumy region, damaging at least 16 houses.

Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, shared this information in a Telegram post, according to Ukrinform.

 

"The Russians have once again attacked civilian infrastructure in the Sumy region. A village in the Putivl community came under enemy fire.

Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy used an UAV armed with warheads—likely two missiles," Hryhorov said.

As a result of the strike, at least 16 private houses were damaged. Windows were shattered, roofs destroyed, and several vehicles were also impacted.

 

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. As Ukrinform earlier reported, the Russian army shelled the Sumy region 110 times yesterday, killing a 12-year-old boy and injuring six civilians.

Vladimir Putin bombed a key bridge in the Ukrainian frontline city of Kherson as he defies Donald Trump and seeks major new territorial gains in the war.

Footage shows Russia using two guided bombs to destroy a vital road crossing on the Dnipro River - severing a main artery to the Korabel district of the city.

The bold move forced the district to be evacuated, in a significant blow to Ukraine.

 

It was yet another strike on its civilian infrastructure by Putin, who is seeking to control the entire Kherson region as a war aim.

Three private homes and a high-rise residential building were also damaged in the strike which took place at 6pm local time on Saturday, officials said. A local resident was injured in the attack, according to local reports.

But Ukraine has hit back at Putin with a major strike on a military-linked oil depot in Sochi, Russia's Black Sea resort city where Putin is rebuilding one of his palaces.

 

Some 30 huge explosions led to a massive inferno at the facility close to the main airport, which is often used by the Russian dictator.

The Lyutyi long range drones led to major disruption at the airport with more than 50 tourist planes diverted or delayed, and waiting passengers evacuated to an underground bomb shelter.

A Russian propagandist Valeria Yaronovetskaya caught in the chaos complained: 'It seems I won't be flying anywhere…Drone attack.

 

'It even seems like it's right on the airport. Air defence is working. The noise is so loud that the windows are shaking…'

She said: 'Everyone is evacuated to the basement floor. There's nowhere to sit here. 'And I'm thirsty… I didn't buy any water before going through the screening. And now I'm suffering…'

 

The strike was on a depot with a 76,000 cubic feet capacity, and a major fire-fighting operation was underway to stop the blaze spreading.

More than 120 firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire, regional Russian Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said on Sunday on the Telegram messaging app.

These attacks are the latest trading of blows between Russia and Ukraine as each nation looks to focus on targeting the other's infrastructure.

 

The war has increasingly become a gruelling battle of attrition since Russia's failed full-scale invasion of its smaller neighbour in February 2022.

Each side now launches regular drone attacks into the other's territory. Both sides deny targeting civilians in their strikes.

Kyiv says that its attacks inside Russia are aimed at destroying infrastructure key to Moscow's war efforts and are in response to Russia's relentless strikes on Ukraine.

 

This morning, the Russian defence ministry said in its daily report on Telegram that its air defence units destroyed 93 Ukrainian drones overnight, including one over the Krasnodar region and 60 over the waters of the Black Sea.

The ministry reports only how many drones its units destroy, not how many Ukraine launched.

Ukraine's air force said Russia fired 83 drones or 76 drones and seven missiles overnight, 61 of which were shot down. It added that 16 drones and six missiles struck targets in eight locations.

The surge in fighting in the war came with reports of blasts and smoke close to the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in occupied Ukraine.

Two of the injured were hospitalised as a result of the late Saturday attack, Mykolaiv Governor Vitaliy Kim said on the Telegram messaging app.

 

Kim posted photos showing single residential buildings almost destroyed, with building debris spread around. He said 23 private homes, 12 apartment buildings and a post office were damaged.

In the early days of the war, the Mykolaiv region stood on the front lines, facing frequent artillery strikes and aerial attacks.

Even after Russian forces were pushed back in late 2022, drones and missiles have remained a constant danger to communities.

Russia also launched a short-lived missile attack on Kyiv overnight, but there were no reports of injuries or damage.

 

The weekend's fighting comes after a particularly deadly week for civilians in Ukraine, including an attack on Kyiv on Thursday that killed at least 31 people.

U.S. drone completes three-day unmanned flight trial

The U.S. Navy has completed a successful three-day nonstop flight of a solar-powered unmanned aerial system (UAS), according to a Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) update issued on 29 July.

Conducted in partnership with Skydweller Aero, the 73-hour continuous flight from Stennis, Mississippi, demonstrated the Skydweller UAS’s ability to sustain solar-powered flight while maintaining communications, autonomous operation, and responsiveness to changing weather conditions.

 

“This demonstration is a prime example of how NAWCAD partners with industry to deliver what the fleet needs,” said Rear Admiral Todd Evans, Commander of NAWCAD.

“It also reflects the technical depth of our workforce and our ability to translate ideas into capability.”

 

The test validated Skydweller’s energy management system, showing that it could achieve a positive energy balance while in flight.

It also confirmed the platform’s suitability for integration into maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) networks.

 

“Integrating Skydweller into the Navy’s ISR architecture creates a layered and resilient network that maximizes the capabilities of all our assets,” said Bill Macchione, Special Purpose UAS lead at NAWCAD.

“This collaborative approach ensures we have the right platform for the right mission, optimizing our resources and enhancing our overall maritime domain awareness.”

PENDLETON — Fourteen thousand square miles of low-traffic airspace in Eastern Oregon soon will open for military drone training as Pendleton’s Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Range prepares to launch a new tactical drone operations program.

As part of a national push to expand drone warfare capabilities, the Pendleton UAS Test Range, in partnership with DelMar Aerospace, will provide military personnel with tactical drone training and access to secure, low-traffic airspace in northeast Oregon. This follows the July 10 memorandum“Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance” from U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth directing the Pentagon to fast-track drone deployment and streamline procurement.

The move builds on President Donald Trump’s June 6 Executive Order 14307 directing federal agencies to accelerate drone rulemaking, boost domestic manufacturing and expand military drone use.

 

“The Department of Defense is going above and beyond this order,” Hegseth wrote.

“I am rescinding restrictive policies that hindered production and limited access to these vital technologies … and delegating authorities to procure and operate drones from the bureaucracy to our warfighters.”

According to a press release from the test range, with no red tape, Pendleton is purpose-built for tactical drone training, rapid UAS development and battlefield assembly.

Having supported more than 65,000 UAS operations, Pendleton’s cutting-edge infrastructure, experienced staff and proven track record help military units build, test and deploy drone capabilities quickly and cost-effectively, the release said.

 

Steve Chrisman, Pendleton airport director and economic development director, said military units and defense contractors choose Pendleton because it eliminates red tape and simplifies testing, making it easier to achieve operational success.

“Pendleton is where U.S. drone dominance is built, tested and proven,” Chrisman said. The drone training program offers modular, two-week courses at the apprentice, journeyman and master levels, priced between $2,000 and $2,500 per course.

 

Curriculum options include small UAS and first-person view drone operations, with instruction on Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 rules — governing the use of commercial and nonrecreational drones under 55 pounds.

Additional advanced offerings cover topics such as surveillance and reconnaissance flight planning, swarm operations, counter-UAS tactics and GPS-denied navigation.

Cole Rixe, business development manager of Pendleton UAS Test Range, said the program has generated strong industry interest.

 

“It’s kind of caught a storm in the industry, with a lot of people asking how they can take advantage of this opportunity,” he said.

“DelMar brought the opportunity to our attention and said, ‘Hey, you guys should try to capitalize on this and position Pendleton as the place for commanders to bring their units to train, test, build, assemble and manufacture.’”

Each course is offered at a fixed per-person rate, with options for lodging through local hotel partners or at the Oregon Army National Guard’s Rees Training Center near Hermiston.

Custom training and research-and-development programs are available to match specific unit mission profiles. Rixe said the classes are offered not only to military serving in Oregon but also to military personnel across the nation.

 

He added that what sets Pendleton apart is its turnkey, business-friendly setup. “You come in and we make it easy to test and operate,” he said. “The city has been doing this a long time and really knows the ins and outs of how it works.

Then with DelMar, they have a top-notch program. They operate in defense and military sectors and many of their people have served overseas or have military experience.”

The Pendleton UAS Test Range is finalizing the program and plans to announce a date soon. In the meantime, military personnel interested in enrolling can visit the test range’s website to schedule a site inspection and virtual meeting.

Astronomers have long puzzled over brief, star-like flashes in old sky surveys that appear and then vanish without explanation.

A recent study examines these transients from the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS-I), conducted between 1949 and 1957.

Researchers analyzed over 100,000 such events to check for connections to above-ground nuclear weapons tests and sightings of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), often known as UFOs.

The work draws on data from that era, before the first artificial satellite launched, to explore whether these flashes relate to human activities or unexplained events.

 

The study, led by scientists from Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Nordita at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University, covers 2,718 days.

It finds small but notable links between the transients, nuclear detonations, and UAP reports. These findings raise questions about what might cause these sky anomalies.

 

Background on Transients and the Sky Survey

The POSS-I used photographic plates to map the northern sky from the Palomar Observatory in California. Each plate captured light over about 50 minutes, showing stars, galaxies, and occasional unexpected bright spots.

Transients are these point-like objects that show up in one image but not in earlier or later ones of the same area.

 

Earlier research identified these as real observations, not just flaws in the plates. Some hypotheses suggest they could stem from natural events like cosmic rays or human-made sources.

The study considers if nuclear tests might play a role, perhaps through radiation effects or fallout creating glows in the atmosphere.

It also explores a bolder idea: that some transients might connect to UAP, especially since reports of strange aerial objects spiked around nuclear sites.

 

Historical records from Project Blue Book, a U.S. Air Force investigation into UAP, note sightings near test sites. Witnesses described metallic objects that could reflect sunlight, appearing as bright points if in orbit.

The paper points to specific dates, like July 19 and 25, 1952, when multiple transients aligned with the famous Washington, D.C., UAP wave, where radar and visual sightings lasted hours.

 

Study Hypotheses

The researchers tested two main ideas. First, transients might link to nuclear weapons tests by the U.S., Soviet Union, and Britain.

Explosions could produce charged particles or other effects visible as flashes. Second, transients could associate with UAP sightings more broadly.

If UAP are physical objects, they might appear as transients when high up or in orbit before descending.

 

To check these, the team looked at daily data: presence of transients (yes or no), their total count, nuclear test dates, and UAP reports from a database called UFOCAT.

This database collects witness accounts from various sources, focusing on independent sightings from different locations.

Methods Used

The transient data came from automated scans of POSS-I plates, identifying over 107,000 events. Each had to be a star-like point absent in prior and later images, with no matches in modern surveys like Pan-STARRS or Gaia.

UAP data involved cleaning the UFOCAT entries to remove duplicates, counting unique reports per day based on location.

The combined dataset spanned November 19, 1949, to April 28, 1957. Analyses used statistical tests suited to skewed data, like chi-square for yes/no links and correlations for counts. They also modeled how UAP numbers might predict transient counts.

 

Key Results

Transients appeared on 310 days, about 11% of the period, with counts ranging from 1 to over 4,500 per day, though most days had none.

Nuclear tests happened on 124 days. UAP reports occurred on nearly 90% of days, averaging about 3-4 independent sightings when present.

 

A link emerged between nuclear tests and UAP: more sightings within test windows.

For transients and tests, flashes were 45% more likely within a test window. Days in windows had higher transient counts too.

Differences are significant (p = 0.008).

 

For transients and UAP, a positive correlation existed, stronger on days with transients (rho = 0.138). Each extra UAP report tied to an 8.5% rise in transients.

Combining factors, days with both UAP and a test window showed the most transients.

Discussion of Findings

These results support ties between transients, nuclear activity, and UAP. Associations persist even after 1953, when UAP reports at nuclear sites dropped, though transients in test windows stopped after 1956.

The links challenge simple explanations like plate defects, as those wouldn’t correlate with distant events. Instead, possibilities include atmospheric effects from tests or, more speculatively, UAP as orbiting objects drawn to nuclear sites.

Small effect sizes likely stem from data noise: automated transient detection might include errors, UAP reports vary in reliability, and the observatory views only part of the sky. Future work could refine detection with AI and validate UAP data better.

Flying saucers. The term evokes thoughts of government conspiracies, little green men, the X-Files, or maybe even Lost in Space. But do you remember the UFO craze that swept the country – and Sault Ste. Marie?

Mysterious disc-shaped objects have been seen in the sky since at least medieval times.

However, they entered public consciousness in a big way on June 24, 1947, when pilot Kenneth Arnold claimed to have seen multiple saucer-shaped flying objects travelling through the sky in Washington State.

 

In the wake of this incident, public reports of flying saucer sightings spiked.

On July 8, 1947 – the same day as the Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico reported they had “come into the possession of a Flying Saucer” – the Sault Daily Star bemoaned the lack of local sightings.

In an editorial, they jokingly claimed that “Algomans may be charged with having no pride in their district if no volunteer comes forward soon to report having spotted one of these ‘flying saucers.’

Just about every other area on the continent can claim the distinction of a resident who saw one.”

 

As it turned out, the Star didn’t have to wait long. On July 11, they reported that a Timmins man saw “a ring in the sky…. It was very clear and looked like a large smoke ring.

It stayed together and appeared to be moving very fast.” The following day, reports emerged of another flying saucer sighting near Pine Island.

 

By July 22, a Sault Ste. Marie woman claimed to have seen a saucer in town: “I saw, whizzing by on edge at incredible speed over the north side of the city, travelling from east to west, a dark object resembling in shape and size a pie plate revolving at terrific speed.

Its flight lasted only a few seconds. Then it disappeared in the west. About 30 seconds after it vanished, I heard a whizzing sound like a circular saw in motion.”

Anticipating a skeptical response, she ended her description by clarifying, “I’m not weak-minded or weak-eyed and I swear on my honour that the above statement is true in every detail.”

 

By September, Hawk Junction got in on the excitement, with reports of a flying saucer resembling “a huge ball of fire” in the sky.

Even the small community of Franz reported seeing an eerie object in the sky – although news reporters were quick to note this was likely an atmospheric phenomenon.

 

As the 1940s ended, so too did the spate of local flying saucer sightings. However, the lull was short-lived, and in 1952, news broke again of people seeing “bright shiny balls flashing across the sky, towing tiny white clouds.”

This time, there was a clear answer: jets flying from a field in Michigan. However, it was the first in another trend of reported sightings: flying saucers in Thessalon, an “egg-shaped” craft over Bruce Mines, a silver craft over Wawa, and a glowing object over Pointe des Chenes.

At least some were assumed to be weather balloons launched by the U.S. Weather Bureau, with the organization even warning that new balloons were likely to “bring a rash of flying saucer tales.”

 

As time went on, news reports had expanded beyond just describing odd objects in the sky; they also focused on the people researching them. In December 1957, the Sault Daily Star profiled Allan Coggon, who was in the process of building and refining his own telescope with the goal of spotting UFOs.

Coggon led a fascinating life beyond his celestial pursuits. In WWII, he served in the RCAF as a bomber pilot, and he was decorated for his service. He would remain an advocate for veterans throughout his life.

Post-war, he continued to fly, working as a commercial and private pilot, which included setting up and leading Algoma Steel’s air service.

He wrote two books – one a memoir of his time in the war, and the other a military history book about the civilian air detection crews who defended possible targets, including the Sault Ste. Marie locks.

The latter book even became the basis for a documentary by the War Amps.

 

Coggon also had a clear passion for the stars. The Sault Daily Star described how Coggan opted to build a reflecting telescope, grinding and polishing his own lenses, in a display of “exacting work” with “a tolerance of ten millionths of an inch.”

The homemade instrument provided enough detail that he could make out the polar cap on Mars and, possibly, even a dust storm on the surface of the red planet. On a clear evening, Mr. and Mrs. Coggon would set up the telescope in the front yard and invite neighbours walking by to look at the sky.

While Coggon wouldn’t answer one way or another whether he believed in aliens, he spent countless hours searching the night sky. And he told the Sault Daily Star that “[it wasn’t his] intention to look at astral bodies.”

The Sault Daily Star also ran ads for organizations looking to bring like-minded extraterrestrial searchers together. In May 1960, the Dwarsault Observation Club was looking for members aged 17 to 20 to help fulfill its mandate: investigating reports of flying saucers.

Interested parties were to fill out a form and return it to a Hudson Street address. The organization – which boasted an expert director, a typewriter, a planetarium, books, and “saucer materials” – would be in touch.

 

This organization was founded in 1959 by Norman Ouellette, who would also go on to become a Mormon missionary, an Algoma Genealogical Society spokesperson, and a watercolour artist.

The group operated out of his basement and was known by various names, including the Flying Saucer Club and the Saucer Observation Club.

Members hailing from both sides of the river would keep a “constant watch for unidentified flying objects over this area.” They would also track down and investigate any reports that came their way.

 

In an interview with the Sault Daily Star, Ouellette described how he was aware of “several objects [that] had been sighted over the Sault for which no logical explanation could be given.”

Ouellette had considered the possibility of weather balloons, military operations, and more, none of which were validated by officials.

He also highlighted the importance of research, saying that the club took care to make sure reported incidents were legitimate and not a hoax.

 

By June 1960, membership opened to a wider audience: “The Soo’s own Flying Saucer Club is now taking older people for better opinions and investigating,” read one classified ad.

Around the same time, a woman looked at the sky above Sault Ste. Marie and caught sight of a formation of six jets. She ran inside to get her camera and returned to see a small silver object in the sky, moving faster than the jets.

After it disappeared came “a noise like a plane breaking the sound barrier.” Later in the day, local news would report that a “shock wave” had been caused by US Air Force planes flying in the area.

 

However, she couldn’t shake the thought of the smaller, silver craft – which, as it turns out, was briefly visible in the footage she recorded: approximately one and a half seconds of it flying into view, turning around, and leaving as if pushed by rays of light.

She contacted the Flying Saucer Club, which took her report very seriously: “They told me not to tell anyone else and that they’d take care of it.”

However, short of sharing the footage with other flying saucer clubs in Southern Ontario, she wasn’t sure what the club had done with it.

 

She contacted the Sault Daily Star in May 1961, showing the footage to a reporter. The reporter, in turn, attempted to get broader attention for the video.

The RCAF declared flying saucers non-existent and wasn’t interested in pursuing them, and a weekly magazine wasn’t interested in picking up the story either.

However, the Kincheloe Air Force Base was interested and arranged for a meeting. In attendance were the woman who recorded it, her husband, the base commander, a Pentagon official, and more.

None of them had an explanation for what appeared to be a flying saucer.

 

Somewhat excited, the officials forwarded the video to Washington for further evaluation. The woman was told to be prepared to go in for more questioning, either by the Canadian or the American governments.

Norman Ouellette of the Flying Saucer Club wrote to the Sault Star to defend his club’s role in the matter, stating that he did not forward the footage on to government officials because “they had been sent such films before, and never returned.”

And as for the footage in question, it’s not clear what became of it once it was sent to Washington for evaluation.

 

Over the years, there continued to be sightings of UFOs and flying saucers in the area, although with less excitement and fanfare than during the 1940s through the early 60s.

However, people continue to watch the skies – for known and unknown objects – in a testament to our fascination with the universe beyond the confines of our planet.

Russia Captured British Officers

 

Special forces of the Russian Federation have captured several NATO officers in Ukraine. This is the first real-life proof that NATO itself is actively waging war against Russia.

Lieutenant Colonel Richard Carroll, and Colonel Edward Blake, both active-duty officers of the British Army, along with as as-yet unidentified Agent of British MI-6 (Intelligence) were captured during a daring raid by Russian Special Forces, in the city of Ohakiv. Israel fails to investigate war crime accusations – monitor

 

Only one out of over 50 high-profile military cases led to a prison sentence, a UK-based NGO has said

 

The Israeli military is failing to properly investigate war crime accusations against its personnel, Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) has stated.

 

The pattern of IDF investigative activity suggests the probes are focused on protecting “institutional legitimacy” rather than upholding justice, the UK-based the NGO said in a report published on Saturday.

 

Out of 52 publicly acknowledged IDF probes into alleged war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank, only one resulted in a prison sentence, according to AOAV. The incidents took place between October 2023 and June 2025 and involved some 1,300 reported victims.

 

Six cases in total resulted in an “admission of error,” with officers being either dismissed or reprimanded in three instances. The IDF found “no violation” in seven more cases, the NGO said in its latest report.

 

A total of 39 cases – or three quarters of all probes monitored by AOAV – have no progress updates available to the public or the English-speaking media. The unresolved cases include the killing of 112 Palestinians queueing for flour in Gaza in February 2024 and an airstrike that killed 45 Palestinians in a camp in Rafah in May 2024, among others.

 

The data paint “a picture not of military accountability, but of disingenuous damage control,” the monitor said in its report. “There was a lurking suspicion that the outcomes of any investigation may have been to serve to protect institutional legitimacy rather than to deliver justice.”

 

The pattern is also consistent with the way the IDF handled similar cases in previous Gaza conflicts, where over 80% of complaints were allegedly closed without criminal probes, AOAV said, citing data from Yesh Din, an Israeli human rights NGO.

 

West Jerusalem launched its military campaign in Gaza in response to the October 7, 2023 attack in which Hamas killed 1,200 people and took over 200 hostages.

 

Since then, more than 55,600 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Gaza, according to the enclave’s health ministry. West Jerusalem has also faced accusations of war crimes for obstructing humanitarian aid. Neither the IDF nor any Israeli officials have commented on the AOAV report.

Sen. Blackburn To Introduce Bills To Root Out 'Embedded' Foreign Interest

 

Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn will soon introduce a trio of bills to counter the malign influence of foreign adversaries stateside and cement actions already taken by the Trump administration, RealClearPolitics is first to report.

 

The first bill would ban the purchase of “agricultural land” by any foreign individuals or businesses associated with an adversarial country. Chinese interests already own as much as 370,000 acres of farmland, according to one estimate, some of it near U.S. military bases. Fueling the bipartisan concern: fears that proximity to those sensitive installations could make them prone to drone attack or surveillance.

 

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced last month that the federal government would move to ban sales of farmland nationwide to buyers tied to China. If signed into law, the Blackburn bill would deliver on that promise.

 

While China is the primary target, the legislation would also prohibit purchases from North Korea, Iran, and Russia.

 

The second bill focuses on the capital city: It would require the District of Columbia to end so-called “sister city” arrangements with adversarial nations. Washington, D.C., has entered into no less than 15 non-formal arrangements with cities around the world. Some are innocuous, such as Athens and Paris. One is a relic of hopes not realized.

 

Then-Mayor Marion Barry signed the Washington-Beijing Sister City Friendship agreement in 1984 when the U.S. still hoped that normalizing relations with China would lead to liberalization. It did not. Blackburn and other Republicans now warn that “sister city” arrangements, while informal, provide an adversarial regime a sort of soft power through diplomatic legitimacy and access to sensitive U.S. institutions.

 

The third bill would require the Department of Housing and Urban Development to work with state and local governments to assess whether and how foreign buyers, including those using shell corporations, “are distorting U.S. housing markets and threatening national security.”

 

The legislation comes as Trump shakes up the world stage through a series of new trade deals and reevaluated alliances. Even as the president insists that U.S. relations with China are improving, his administration has taken steps to gain an upper hand in the rivalry with the communist superpower. He has bolstered military spending. He has deregulated the artificial intelligence industry in order to maintain U.S. dominance in that field. He insists that the United States will remain preeminent.

Majestic 12 is the purported code name of a secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, supposedly formed in 1947 by an executive order of U.S. President Harry S. Truman.

The purpose of the committee was to investigate UFO activity in the aftermath of the Roswell incident – the purported crash of an alien spaceship near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947.

This alleged committee is an important part of the UFO conspiracy theory of an ongoing government cover up of UFO information.

The data obtained in the worldwide net of such instruments were important for the developing theory of short wave radio propagation to which Berkner himself gave important contributions.Additional information was found at the FBI, that originated at the CIA.

Bronk served as President of Johns Hopkins University from 1949 to 1953 and as President of the The Rockefeller University from 1953 to 1968. Bronk also held the presidency of the National Academy of Sciences between 1950 and 1962.

James Vincent Forrestal (February 15, 1892 – May 22, 1949) was the last Cabinet-level United States Secretary of the Navy and the first United States Secretary of Defense.

Robert Miller Montague (August 7, 1899 – February 20, 1958) was a Lieutenant General in the United States Army.

He achieved prominence as the deputy commander of Fort Bliss, Texas and commander of the Sandia Missile Base in New Mexico during the start of modern ufology and head of the U.S. Caribbean Command.

The FBI claims that they could not find a file on Montague.

 

Sidney William Souers (March 30, 1892 – January 14, 1973) was an American admiral and intelligence expert. ear Admiral Souers was appointed as the first Director of Central Intelligence on January 23, 1946 by President Harry S. Truman.

Prior to this, as Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence, Souers had been one of the architects of the system that came into being with the President’s directive. He had written the intelligence chapter of the Eberstadt Report, which advocated a unified intelligence system.

Toward the end of 1945, when the competing plans for a national intelligence system were deadlocked, Souers’ views had come to the attention of the President, and he seems to have played a role in breaking the impasse.

 

Nathan Farragut Twining, (October 11, 1897 – March 29, 1982) was a United States Air Force General, born in Monroe, Wisconsin. He was Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1957.

As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1957 to 1960 he was the first member of the Air Force to serve in that role.

 

Hoyt Sanford Vandenberg (January 24, 1899 – April 2, 1954) was a U.S. Air Force general, its second Chief of Staff, and second Director of Central Intelligence.

During World War II, Vandenberg was the commanding general of the Ninth Air Force, a tactical air force in England and in France, supporting the Army, from August 1944 until V-E Day.

Vandenberg Air Force Base on the central coast of California is named for General Vandenberg. In 1946, he was briefly the U.S. Chief of Military Intelligence.

He was the nephew of Arthur H. Vandenberg, a former U.S. Senator from Michigan.

Born in Long Eaton, England, Dr. Walker earned a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in Electrical Engineering, a Masters Degree in business administration, and doctorate in general science and engineering from Harvard.

During World War II, Walker was associate director of the Underwater Sound Laboratory, initially located at Harvard, but relocated to the campus of Penn State University.

Dr. Walker remained at Penn State, becoming head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, then Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture in 1951.

Next Dr. Walker became vice president for research at Penn State in 1956, and President of the University, also in 1956.

 

He was allegedly identified by scientist Dr. Robert Sarbacher as one of the members of a team invited in 1950 to Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) to be briefed on the details of a UFO crash recovery and retrieval.

According to the FBI, there may have been additional records on Walker, but they were destroyed on 5/29/1979 and on 1/10/1988.’

In addition to the documents destroyed, there was an additional single page of material found at the IRS. According to the IRS, the document is classified/exempted under exemption (b)(3) under the FOIA, and is entirely withheld.

154,000 Federal Workers Are Being Paid To Stay Home Under Deferred Resignation Plan

More than 154,000 federal employees — over 6% of the civilian workforce — are being paid not to work under the Biden administration’s deferred resignation program, an official confirmed to ABC News.

 

The program, first reported by The Washington Post, lets employees who accept buyouts keep pay and benefits until the fiscal year ends Sept. 30.

 

Critics say the plan has been chaotic, draining resources, disrupting agencies, and sparking legal battles — all on the taxpayer’s dime.

 

“The American taxpayer ultimately is not only watching federal employees who are deeply interested in serving the public be sidelined, they’re having to pay for them too. It makes no sense at all,” said Max Steier of the Partnership for Public Service. He added, “They’ve done ‘ready, fire, aim,’ instead of ‘ready, aim, fire.’”

 

Supporters defend it as a cost-cutting success. “Ultimately, the deferred resignation program was not only legal, it provided over 150,000 civil servants a dignified and generous departure from the federal government,” OPM spokeswoman McLaurine Pinover told ABC News.

 

“It also delivered incredible relief to the American taxpayer. No previous administration has gotten even close to saving American taxpayers this amount of money in such a short amount of time.”

 

The administration hasn’t disclosed how much is being spent on salaries, benefits, or court battles tied to the buyouts.

 

Senate Democrats, however, estimate that the broader Department of Government Efficiency effort — led by Elon Musk — has cost $21.7 billion so far due to errors and waste, a figure the White House disputes.

New Syria Fighting Erupts Overnight, Shattering Fragile US-Backed Truce

 

Overnight and into the early Sunday hours, fresh clashes erupted in Syria in two flashpoint areas - one in the north and another in the south, the latter which saw a fragile truce break down between government troops under the Al-Qaeda linked government of HTS' Jolani and local Druze militias.

 

The northern fighting centered in Aleppo province, where government-aligned forces and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who dominate much of the region and are backed by US forces - exchanged gunfire and artillery attacks.

 

Syria's Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS/former Nusrah/AQ) government has vowed (at least publicly) to uphold a shaky ceasefire in Sweida following violent clashes with Druze factions last month, which left hundreds dead.

 

But as horrific images of persecution and torture of minority groups emerged earlier this summer, it became clear that the jihadist troops under the government have been targeting Druze based on their non-Sunni identity, in ethno-religious genocide. Churches in this southern area have also been burned and destroyed.

 

This has brought Damascus under greater international scrutinty and spotlight, though Washington has tended to overlook the atrocities carried out also against Christians and Alawites. However, the US did oversee the initial truce which now appears in shambles due to this latest fighting.

 

The southern Syria region is poised to unravel, also as Israel appears engaged in more land-grab activity:

 

A security source told the outlet the armed groups had violated a ceasefire agreed in the predominantly Druze region, which has seen more than 1,000 killed in fighting over the past month.

 

Violence in Sweida erupted on 13 July between Bedouin fighters, Druze factions and government forces. Israel also carried out strikes on Syrian cities, claiming they were coming to the assistance of the Druze.

Vax mandate OK even if vax doesn’t stop spread: Appeal court

 

SAN FRANCISCO - Los Angeles' public school district and other government agencies can force workers to receive Covid shots as a condition of keeping their jobs, even if the "vaccines" don't actually work to prevent anyone from becoming infected with the virus or transmitting the virus to others, a federal appeals court has ruled.

 

On July 31, a full panel of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned an earlier ruling from their colleagues, declaring now that the L.A. Unified School District (LAUSD) didn't violate the constitutional rights of workers who were fired after they refused to get Covid shots.

 

In the ruling, the court's majority refused to consider evidence that the so-called Covid vaccines actually immunized anyone against contracting or spreading the virus that caused Covid-19.

 

Instead, the majority said it mattered only that the government declared the shots were "effective in preventing and spreading the disease."

 

They grounded the ruling in the longstanding U.S. Supreme Court decision known as Jacobson v Massachusetts. That decision, which authorized Massachusetts public health officials to force vaccine skeptics to receive smallpox inoculations in 1905, has been used by governments ever since to enforce vaccine mandates.

 

"Jacobson holds that the constitutionality of a vaccine mandate, like the Policy here, turns on what reasonable legislative and executive decisionmakers could have rationally concluded about whether a vaccine protects the public’s health and safety, not whether a vaccine actually provides immunity to or prevents transmission of a disease," the majority wrote.

 

"Whether a vaccine protects the public’s health and safety is committed to policymakers, not a court or a jury. Further, alleged scientific uncertainty over a vaccine’s efficacy is irrelevant under Jacobson. Jacobson simply does not allow debate in the courts over whether a mandated vaccine prevents the spread of disease. Jacobson makes clear that it is up to the political branches, within the parameters of rational basis review, to decide whether a vaccine effectively protects public health and safety," the majority wrote.

 

The majority decision was authored by Ninth Circuit Judge Mark J. Bennett. He was joined in the majority by Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Mary H. Murguia and circuit judges Kim McLane Wardlaw, Consuelo M. Callahan, Bridget S. Bade, Danielle J. Forrest, Salvador Mendoza Jr. and Roopali H. Desai.

 

Bennett was appointed by President Donald Trump during his first term in office.

 

Circuit Judges Kenneth K. Lee and Daniel P. Collins lodged a partial dissent.

 

Circuit Judge John B. Owens also filed a dissent, though for different reasons.

 

The case had landed before the so-called en banc 11-judge panel as the latest step in the court fight over the LAUSD Covid shot mandate.

Some people claimed that it was simply a tall electric pole, while others said that the people recording would have known if it was a pole, as the sighting happened just near their home.

In the last few years, alien-related news and its sightings have become an everyday thing in Texas, US. However, some claims have been proven out as "false" as they were just some phenomena or weird clouds.

 

In June, another UFO was sighted, as claimed by the netizens.

Think Uncle Sam Owes $37 Trillion? It's Far Worse Than That

 

When asked how far the US government has plunged into the red, many fiscally-conscious Americans will tell you the national debt has reached $37 trillion. As distressing as that official number is, America’s true fiscal situation is even worse — far worse. According to a barely-publicized Treasury report, the actual grand total of Uncle Sam’s obligations is more than $151 trillion.

 

That huge discrepancy springs from the fact that the federal government doesn’t hold itself to the same accounting standards it imposes on businesses. Rather than using accrual accounting — which recognizes expenses when they’re incurred — our Washington overlords self-servingly use simple cash accounting, only recognizing expenses when they’re paid. As a result, discourse on federal obligations solely focuses on the national debt, comprising Treasury bills, notes and bonds.

 

Once a year, however, an obscure report delivers a more accurate version of Uncle Sam’s balance sheet. While it receives almost no attention from journalists or public officials, the Treasury Department is required to submit an annual report to Congress detailing the government’s financial condition. Critically, the 1994 law compelling this report mandates that it reflect “unfunded liabilities” — that is, commitments made without any dedicated assets or income streams to ensure they’ll be kept.

 

One of the larger categories of those unfunded liabilities is future federal employee and veterans benefits. At the end of the 2024 fiscal year, this alone represented a $15 trillion obligation. However, by leaps and bounds, the largest unfunded liabilities spring from America’s social insurance obligations — primarily Social Security and Medicare. At fiscal-year end, these liabilities totaled a towering $105.8 trillion.

 

Stacking these and other unfunded liabilities on top of the publicly-held national debt and other obligations, you arrive at a grand total of $151.3 trillion at the end of the 2024 fiscal year. Offsetting that by an estimated $7.9 trillion in US government commercial assets — including property, plant, equipment and purported gold holdings — a Just Facts analysis puts Uncle Sam at an overall net-negative $143 trillion.

 

Writing at the Heartland Institute, Just Facts president James Agresti put that nearly-incomprehensible total in perspective: “$143 trillion amounts to 85% of the net wealth Americans have accumulated since the nation’s founding, estimated by the Federal Reserve to be $169 trillion. This includes all of their assets in savings, real estate, corporate stocks, private businesses, and even consumer durable goods like automobiles and furniture.”

 

Those numbers reflected the government’s position on Sept 30, 2024. They’ve not only grown significantly worse in the intervening months, they’re deteriorating at a blistering pace even as you read this: Not even counting the unfunded liabilities that represent the biggest part of the problem, the national debt alone is increasing at something like $156 million per hour.

Trump’s latest executive order doesn’t just target the homeless—it establishes a precedent for rounding up anyone deemed a threat to the government’s version of law and order. The government’s war on homelessness—much like its war on terrorism, its war on drugs, its war on illegal immigration, and its war on COVID-19—is yet another Trojan Horse.

 

First, President Trump issues an executive order empowering federal agencies to clear out homeless encampments and lock up the homeless in mental institutions using involuntary civil commitment laws intended for dealing with individuals experiencing mental health crises.

 

Days later, a gunman allegedly suffering from a mental illness opens fire in New York City, killing four before turning the gun on himself.

 

Coming on the heels of Trump’s executive order aimed at “ending crime and disorder on America’s streets,” the shooting has all the makings of a modern-day Reichstag fire: a tragedy weaponized to justify allowing the government use mental illness as a pretext for locking more people up without due process.

 

An Orwellian exercise in doublespeak, Trump’s executive order suggests that jailing the homeless, rather than providing them with affordable housing, is the “compassionate” solution to homelessness.

 

According to USA Today, social workers, medical experts and mental health service providers say the president’s approach “will likely worsen homelessness across the country, particularly because Trump’s order contains no new funding for mental health or drug treatment. Additionally, they say the president appears to misunderstand the fundamental driver of homelessness: People can’t afford housing.”

 

And then comes the kicker: Trump wants to see more use of civil commitments (forced detentions) for anyone who is perceived as posing a risk “to themselves or the public or are living on the streets and cannot care for themselves in appropriate facilities for appropriate periods of time.”

 

Translation: the government wants to use homelessness as a pretext for indefinitely locking up anyone who might pose a threat to its chokehold on police state power.

 

When you consider the ramifications of giving the American police state that kind of authority to preemptively neutralize a potential threat, you’ll understand why some might view these looming mental health round-ups with trepidation.

 

By directing police to carry out forced detentions of individuals based not on criminal behavior but on perceived mental instability or drug use, the Trump administration is attempting to sidestep fundamental constitutional protections—due process, probable cause, and the presumption of innocence—by substituting medical discretion for legal standards.

 

Taken to its authoritarian limits, this could allow the government to weaponize the label of mental illness as a means of exiling dissidents who refuse to march in lockstep with its dictates.

Hello Anons. Given the recent seismic activity, I figured now would be a good time to share some info I have, and it’s two-fold.

 

The first fold is weaponry.

 

I can confirm that the US is the only country that has in its possession the technology to induce seismic activity. The US utilizes frequency modulation by way of HAARP and the somewhat secret Antarctic radio array. Both have been classified capabilities and have openly stated that they’re mere research stations without any “broadcasting” capabilities. This is false and can be triangulated with the correct equipment, but can also be lightly noticed with a simple compass.

 

These sites are directly responsible for the NZ earthquake and multiple middle eastern quakes. The Russian 8.8 is still under scrutiny by people in this circle, but otherwise seems to be a direct attack on Russian sub ports.

 

Fold number 2, tectonic modification.

 

There are at least two programs I am knowledgeable of regarding naval operations that alter the physical tectonic plates that are targeted for slip. Both programs utilize submarines and drone-based drilling, highly targeted explosives, and can be cross-deployed with the frequency-based platforms.

 

This is most likely the cause of multiple quakes in the past thirty years. Indonesia’s deadly quake and subsequent tsunami was a test failure, and has since been near-perfected. The US isn’t the only country that has tectonic modification programs.

Another American Citizen Allegedly Killed By Israeli Settlers

 

A United States citizen died in the West Bank Thursday, according to reports confirmed by the United States State Department.

 

Khamis Abdul Latif Ayyad, 41, died from smoke inhalation as a result of fires started by Israeli settlers who targeted cars and homes in his village late at night, according to the Miami Herald and a Palestinian news publication.

 

“We can confirm the death of a U.S. citizen in the town of Silwad in the West Bank. We offer condolences to the family on their loss and are providing consular assistance to them. We condemn criminal violence by any party in the West Bank,” a State Department spokesperson told the outlet.

 

According to Ayyad’s family, the fire was ignited by Israeli settlers who entered Silwad — a village located near several Israeli settlements in the central part of the West Bank — during the night and set both cars and homes on fire, the outlet noted.

 

A funeral for Ayyad was held Friday, and his family is awaiting an autopsy to determine his official cause of death, the outlet added.

 

Ayyad is the second U.S. citizen to be killed in the West Bank. Sayfollah Musallet, a 20-year-old Palestinian American, died July 11 after Israeli settlers beat him to death during violent outbreaks in the area. The violence began when “terrorists hurled rocks” at Israelis, causing minor injuries to two people, and then escalated into property damage, arson, physical confrontations, and further rock throwing, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) told Jewish News. Musallet sustained injuries during the conflict, but was left without medical care for two hours because settlers blocked access for emergency responders, a friend told The Washington Post.

 

Ayyad was raised in Silwad, a small village in the West Bank, but relocated to the United States with his wife in 2008. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, he and his family returned to the West Bank, according to the outlet.

 

Ayyad’s brother described him as a hardworking family man who was liked in his community.

 

“He was loved by everyone. He caused no problems at all,” his brother told the outlet.

Aliens spotted in Oakleigh

Anyone strolling through Eaton Mall in Oakleigh last Friday may have done a double-take — aliens were wandering between the Greek cafés and shops.

The performers were in Oakleigh to promote a series of upcoming shows at Eaton Mall over the coming weekends, running until August 17.

Oakleigh POP-UPS is a program supported by the City of Monash that offers performances that delight locals and visitors alike.

 

Surprise appearances from street artists are expected throughout the mall, catching shoppers, coffee lovers and diners off guard in the best way possible.

A highlight of the series will be the appearance of roaming statues, evoking the grace of Ancient Greek sculpture — a nod to Oakleigh’s strong Hellenic character.

‘Locals Say No!’ — Anti-Migrant Hotel Protests Spread Across England

 

Protests against the British government’s housing mostly young male illegal migrants in hotels across England continued on Saturday as the movement appears to be spreading.

 

Sparked by a local uprising in the Essex town of Epping last month against a migrant hotel after a 38-year-0ld Ethiopian migrant allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, the protest movement spread to major cities over the weekend, including London, Manchester, and Newcastle.

 

A flashpoint was the Thistle City Barbican hotel in the London borough of Islington, with hundreds of anti-mass migration protesters under the banner of “Thistle Barbican needs to go – locals say no”.

 

Protesters were seen carrying signs reading “Stop the boats, deport foreign criminals.”

 

Meanwhile, far-left former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, who represents Islington North in the House of Commons, called on his supporters to join a pro-open borders counterprotest. Dozens of Antifa-style masked agitants were seen clashing with the police.

 

Some of the young male migrants were seen blowing kisses from their hotel window at the protesters.

 

A total of nine people were arrested in the capital at migrant-related protests on Saturday, according to the BBC.

 

Clashes were also seen in Manchester, with around 600 anti-migrant hotel protesters descending upon the city centre and around 400 leftist counter demonstrators following suit, according to the Manchester Evening News.

 

The protest was joined by Paul Golding, the leader of the hardline nationalist Britain First political party, which called for a “remigration” programme.

 

The protest also saw an Irish Republican nationalist donning a Union Jack flag, a sight that would have been unthinkable two decades ago, but which he said was necessary, claiming that the “same people are trying to replace us”.

 

Additionally, in Newcastle, locals rallied under the banner of “for our children, for our future” against the New Bridge Hotel being used to house young male migrants.
