What In The World Is Going On With Ghislaine Maxwell?

Ghislaine Maxwell is back in the spotlight, nearly three years after being sentenced to 20 years for her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme.

Maxwell was convicted on five of six counts for conspiring with Epstein to recruit, groom, and sexually abuse underage girls in December 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

During the interview with Blanche, Maxwell stated that Trump had never acted inappropriately around her, according to a ABC News report.

Now, three senior Trump administration officials reportedly said the DOJ is considering releasing the full transcripts of Maxwell’s interview with Blanche.

Then, just a week after her DOJ interview, Maxwell was quietly transferred July 31 from Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Tallahassee — a low-security women’s prison in Florida for female inmates — to Federal Prison Camp Bryan, a minimum-security women’s facility in Texas that houses 626 inmates.

FCI Tallahassee, as of May 2023, held 746 women, which was 88 percent of its physical capacity of 846.

There are only seven prison camps in the country akin to Camp Bryan, typically featuring dormitory-style housing, minimal perimeter security, and low staff-to-inmate ratios, according to an Axios report.

The timing of Maxwell’s transfer — just a week after her meeting with Blanche — has sparked speculation, though no official reason for her being moved has been given.

SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly addressed Maxwell’s two-day interview with Blanche, calling the situation “annoying.”

“This woman is a convicted sex trafficker and sex abuser herself,” Kelly said. “Yet she is sitting in there like she is some queen bee now.”

Whether Maxwell is given questions in advance or not, Kelly did not buy her testimony could be trusted.

“She is in prison for 20 years – she is going to say whatever the hell she thinks she needs to to get a ‘Get Out of Jail Free’ card,” she continued. “Her testimony isn’t trustworthy, and this meeting just proves they’re playing games.”

The Texas GOP's proposed congressional map could net Republicans between three and five seats in next year's midterm elections – seats that could make a difference as Republicans work to maintain their small majority in the U.S. House.

A spokesperson for California State Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas confirmed to ABC News that the state legislature is aiming to release draft maps on Friday.

Newsom's post did not offer any details on the maps or how he plans to get them approved, although Newsom has said previously he would consider trying to have maps on the ballot in a special election in November.

The California governor said he would be part of a press conference this week with "powerful" Democrats, but didn't offer details about who would be in attendance.

Newsom sent a letter to Trump on Monday asking the president to tell Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and other Republican governors to abandon efforts to draw new congressional maps. Texas Democrats have fled the state in protest of the maps.

The Texas House of Representatives was once again unable to reach a quorum Tuesday. Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows said that the House will convene once again on Friday, adding if there's no quorum by then, Abbott will adjourn the current session and call a second special session to begin immediately.

PROVIDENCE – A Rhode Island man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Rhode Island for allegedly threatening to take the life of President Trump and to kill or injure Attorney General Pamela Bondi and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, announced Acting Rhode Island United States Attorney Sara Miron Bloom.

The indictment returned today charges Carl D. Montague, 37, with threats against the President and interstate communications of threats.

Court documents filed previously allege that on June 27, 2025, Montague issued a profanity-laced posting on Truth Social threatening to shoot and kill President Trump, Attorney General Bondi, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Miller.

A federal criminal indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Montague, released with GPS monitoring following his initial appearance on a criminal complaint filed previously in this matter, will be arraigned on a later date.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dulce Donovan.

The matter was investigated by the FBI, United States Secret Service, and the Providence Police Department.

Former city council member guilty of facilitating bribe payments

McALLEN, Texas –A 47-year-old Edinburg resident has pleaded guilty to his role in a “pay-to-play” bribery scheme involving the Edinburg City Council, announced U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei.

Jorge “Coach” Salinas admitted that between June 2019 and March 2020, he participated in a scheme involving businesses seeking contracts with the city of Edinburg. Salinas, then a councilman, attended meetings where a business owner sought to reinstate a long-term contract that had expired and converted to month-to-month terms.

The business operated in Edinburg and the surrounding area. The owner had sought both to secure new work agreements and maintain existing ones with the city.

The owner spoke with Miguel Garza who outlined what would be needed to persuade the council to approve the deal. Garza claimed to know several council members, to include Salinas. He said that for a payment, he could deliver Salinas’ vote in favor of the contract and ensure a majority of council members supported it. Part of the money would go to certain members of the council who made up the majority.

On July 23, 2019, Salinas met with Garza and the business owner to discuss the pending contract. The business owner gave Garza $3,000 at that time, because Garza had represented they had an agreement to secure the Edinburg City Council vote on behalf of the business owner’s company.

By attending this meeting, Salinas aided and abetted Garza’s criminal scheme to have council members take official acts in exchange for monetary payment.

“The public has a right to expect honesty and integrity from government officials,” said Ganjei. “If you participate in a pay-to-play scheme in the Southern District of Texas, you will definitely pay—the cost will be a federal indictment and prison term.”

U.S. District Judge Drew B. Tipton will impose sentencing Nov. 5. At that time, Salinas faces a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a possible $250,000 maximum fine.

Garza, 54, Edinburg, pleaded guilty May 2, 2023, and is also set for sentencing in November.

The FBI conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Arthur R. Jones and Robert L. Guerra are prosecuting the case.

FBI Director Kash Patel has uncovered a bombshell memo written in 2017 chronicling the extensive political obstruction that career agents in three cities faced from their own bosses and the Obama Justice Department during the 2016 election as they probed whether Hillary Clinton engaged in a pay-to-play corruption scheme involving her family foundation.

"Shut it down!" then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is quoted as demanding in the detailed timeline of political impediments that agents in New York City, Little Rock, Ark., and Washington D.C. reported.

The agents tried to get the help of federal prosecutors to determine whether or what crimes occurred while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, most notably, because at that time, her family foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests with business before her department.

The timeline — written by a DOJ lawyer assigned to the FBI under former bureau Director James Comey — was recently secured by top aides to Patel along with several corroborating internal emails and was obtained by Just the News. Together, they make clear that both the DOJ and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe placed significant impediments in front of agents who believed they had evidence to justify a public integrity criminal case.

The declassified timeline revealed that as early as February 2016, the Justice Department “indicated they would not be supportive of an FBI investigation.” The timeline also shows that, in mid-February 2016, McCabe ordered that “no overt investigative steps” were allowed to be taken in the Clinton Foundation investigation “without his approval” — a command he allegedly repeated numerous times over the coming months.

Again, the FDA is making the worst decision possible for older women. This, after years of denying them HRT - based of flawed NIH studies.

You might think that the FDA wanted older women to be disabled with brittle bones, cognitive decline, metabolic disease, obesity, and poor health.

‘Burying a Palestinian state’: Smotrich to approve 3,401 homes in controversial E1 settlement project

Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announces that he plans to approve tenders to build more than 3,000 housing units in the highly controversial E1 settlement project between Jerusalem and Ma’ale Adumim in the West Bank, saying the move “buries the idea of a Palestinian state.”

The project has been frozen for decades amid fierce opposition from the international community, who fear the new settlement neighborhood would block a contiguous, viable Palestinian state.

“Approval of construction plans in E1 buries the idea of a Palestinian state and continues the many steps we are taking on the ground as part of the de facto sovereignty plan that we began implementing with the establishment of the government,” Smotrich says in a statement.

“After decades of international pressure and freezes, we are breaking conventions and connecting Ma’ale Adumim to Jerusalem. This is Zionism at its best – building, settling and strengthening our sovereignty in the Land of Israel,” says Smotrich who is also a minister in the Defense Ministry responsible for the West Bank civilian issues.

The potential construction of a new neighborhood for the Ma’ale Adumim settlement in the so-called E1 zone has long been cause for alarm in the international community. It would divide the West Bank into northern and southern regions and prevent the development of a Palestinian metropolis that connects East Jerusalem to Bethlehem and Ramallah, which the Palestinians have long hoped would serve as the foundation of their future state.

However, according to the Peace Now settlement watchdog, the approved plans are not for the original E1 plan, but rather a separate neighborhood of Ma’ale Adumim.

“The 3,300 housing units in Ma’ale Adumim represent an increase of about 33% in the settlement’s housing stock — an enormous expansion for a settlement whose population has been stagnant at around 38,000 for the past decade and has experienced net out-migration. The tenders are for a large neighborhood that will connect Ma’ale Adumim’s built-up area with the industrial zone to its east,” Peace Now says.

Over 20,000 arrested in Iran on suspicion of espionage during war with Israel

Officials are urging citizens to ‘maintain vigilance’ as they did during the 12-day war, as the hunt for infiltrators continues

Iranian police arrested around 21,000 people on various charges during the 12-day war with Israel, Iran's national police force reported on 12 August.

According to local media, more than 7,850 public tips were received during the fighting, leading to the arrests.

The spokesperson of the Iranian police, Saed Montazer al-Mahdi, noted that the Iranian Cyber Police (FATA) handled 5,700 cybercrime cases, including internet fraud, unauthorized withdrawals, and a cyber attack on the Nobitex exchange.

He said 2,774 “illegal citizens” were detained, with 261 people arrested on suspicion of espionage and 172 detained for unauthorized filming – some for filming “sensitive centers” around the country. Examinations of the suspects' mobile phones led to the opening of 30 special security cases.

Speaking on the Evin Prison incident, Mahdi stated that police arrested 127 “security and political” inmates during an escape attempt, including two of whom were dressed in firefighter uniforms.

Fars News Agency reported on 25 July that more than 700 people had been detained over the previous 12 days on charges of “security cooperation with Israel.”

Separately, judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir said on 22 July that 75 prisoners escaped during an Israeli missile strike on Evin Prison.

According to Shargh Media Group, Iranian Minister of Intelligence Ismail Khatib said, “The intelligence and security organizations have the resources [personnel, assets, and operational capabilities] to mobilize them both internally and within the regime itself. During the imposed 12-day war, we witnessed seven million public reports.”

He added, “We hope that as this unity has been the axis of destroying all influence, hostility, conspiracy, and sedition, we will all be able to protect this unity and cohesion.”

During the June war, Israel launched coordinated attacks inside Iran, killing senior military and intelligence officials, nuclear scientists, and striking key military sites and administrative infrastructure.

Analysts speculate that the purpose of striking administrative buildings and infrastructure is to weaken the Iranian government's grip and control over its border provinces with the hope of seeding unrest and separatist movements.

Both during and after the war, Iranian security forces seized large caches of explosives, drones, and weapons, along with workshops used for manufacturing unmanned systems from within the country itself.

Since then, the hunt for infiltrating agents has continued across the country, with leaders urging citizens to “maintain their vigilance, as they showed during the war.”
