DOJ Prosecutes Pro-Palestine Groups Under Law Biden Admin Used To Target Pro-Life Activists

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances(FACE) Act lawsuit on Monday against pro-Palestine protestors who allegedly targeted a synagogue in New Jersey during a Nov. 2024 demonstration that turned violent.

 

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon believes this is the first time the FACE Act, which the Biden administration used to target pro-life activists, has been used to civilly prosecute an attack on a house of worship.

 

“In recent years, there have been numerous attacks on synagogues throughout the United States,” Dhillon said during a press conference. “Yet there has been a lack of the use of the FACE Act to stop these heinous attacks.”

 

“The past administration only applied the FACE Act civil enforcement penalties to silence pro-life protestors while ignoring the same 1994 law was intended to protect pro-life crisis pregnancy centers and, importantly, houses of worship,” she said.

 

Protestors “engaged in a coordinated effort to intimidate and disrupt Jewish worshipers at a religious event held at the synagogue Congregation Ohr Torah,” which included “physical assaults on worshipers Moshe Glick and David Silberberg, antisemitic and threatening chants, and defiance of police orders,” according to the complaint.

 

Silberberg was placed in a chokehold by defendant Altaf Sharif after another defendant, Eric Camins, identified him as “the Jew.”

 

“Some of the protestors carried and blew vuvuzelas, horns capable of causing hearing damage, while shouting at Jewish residents as they passed their neighborhoods,” Dhillon said. “The group marched onto synagog property, blowing the vuvuzelas and shouting to drown out a memorial service and a Torah sermon.”

 

Along with six individual defendants, the complaint names the New Jersey chapters of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, as well as American Muslims for Palestine, as defendants, noting both organizations have a history of organizing anti-Israel protests that have involved “violence or incitement.”

Dhillon confirmed during the press conference that there are other ongoing FACE Act investigations. She suggested during an April interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation that there could be “different applications” of the law.

 

“The FACE Act can be used to protect clinics where women get counseling about their options for abortion, and 200 of those have been violently attacked, firebombed, picketed and otherwise been obstructed over the last few years with zero action from the DOJ,” she previously told the DCNF.

 

The DOJ issued a memo in January promising to end the “weaponization” of the FACE Act. President Donald Trump pardoned 23 pro-life activists prosecuted by the Biden administration in January.

 

“These violent protesters meant their actions for evil, but we will use this case to bring forth good: the protection of all Americans’ religious liberty,” Dhilon said.

What are Australia’s ‘UFOs’?

Strange lights in the sky have been reported recently across a large part of Western Australia, appearing in various flashing formations, stirring up suggestions of an extraterrestrial fleet of UFOs.

 

Indeed, there seemed no obvious earthly explanation. Checks of aircraft flight patterns gave no inkling of anything unusual and there were no military training activities in the area.

Other ideas were atmospheric phenomena such as a mirage, created when a colder mass of air is trapped underneath a warmer mass of air that refracts or bends light.

In its most dramatic form, a mirage can make an object such as a ship, which would be lit at night, appear to float up in the sky before suddenly disappearing.

They can indeed be spooky sights, visible to the eye but not on radar since the objects are not really there.

 

But the most convincing explanation for the Australian spectacle was a train of Starlink satellites.

They can be particularly noticeable shortly after SpaceX launches a new batch of satellites, forming part of what is called a megaconstellation that provides high-speed internet worldwide.

And on clear nights, the Starlink satellites can sometimes be seen as strings of bright, evenly spaced lights as they move across the sky, resembling a formation.

But the satellites are only visible when they are in low Earth orbit before reaching their operational altitude at 340 miles (550km) high, where the lights blend in with the background of the night sky.

 

There are about 8,475 Starlink satellites in orbit, but the number is rapidly increasing and may eventually grow to as many as 42,000.

And given the numbers of regular Starlink launches, sometimes many times a week, there are chances of seeing a glimpse of the so-called “Starlink train”.

 

The downside is that the satellites are proving a headache for astronomers as they interfere with observations of the night sky.

And obsolete satellites become space junk that burn up and create pollution when they re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere, harming the atmosphere and world weather patterns.

DNC Still Holding Jeffrey Epstein Donations While Attacking Trump on Files

 

The Democratic National Committee is facing renewed criticism over its decision to hold onto thousands of dollars in campaign donations from the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, as case files connected to Epstein’s trafficking charges continue to draw national attention, as reported by Fox News.

 

Campaign finance records show that Epstein donated $32,000 to the DNC during the mid-1990s. Unlike other Democratic lawmakers and committees who later disavowed or returned contributions linked to Epstein, the DNC has never refunded the money.

Oil and natural gas resources in the occupied Palestinian territory could generate hundreds of billions of dollars for development.

 

Geologists and resources economists have confirmed that the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) lies above sizeable reservoirs of oil and natural gas wealth, in Area C of the West Bank and the Mediterranean coast off the Gaza Strip, according to a recent UNCTAD study.

 

New discoveries of natural gas in the Levant Basin are in the range of 122 trillion cubic foot while recoverable oil is estimated at 1.7 billion barrels, according to the study, entitled “The Economic Cost of Occupation for the Palestinian People: The Unrealized Oil and Natural Gas Potential.”

 

This offers an opportunity to distribute and share about US$524 billion among the different parties in the region and promote peace and cooperation among old belligerents, the study notes.

 

These funds could finance socioeconomic development in the oPt as part of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

 

However, so far the Palestinian people have been prohibited from exploiting the oil and gas reserves in their own land and water to meet their energy needs and generate fiscal and export revenues.

 

This increases both the opportunity costs and the total costs borne by the Palestinian people as a result of occupation, the study states.

 

Assessing economic cost of occupation

In a number of UN General Assembly resolutions, UNCTAD has been asked to assess and report on the economic cost of occupation borne by the Palestinian people.

 

The study focuses on oil and natural gas due to their high value and critical importance in potentially meeting basic Palestinian needs for energy, and fiscal and export revenues.

 

It identifies and assesses existing and potential Palestinian oil and natural gas reserves that could be exploited.

 

Also critical are the new oil and natural gas finds in the Eastern Mediterranean that Israel has begun to exploit for its own benefit, while these resources may be considered shared resources, as the oil and natural gas exist in common pools.

 

“What could be a source of wealth and opportunities could prove disastrous if these common resources are exploited individually and exclusively, without due regard for international law and norms,” the study warns.

 

Costs enormous and escalating

Israel’s exploitation of Palestinian natural resources, including oil and natural gas, imposes on the Palestinian people enormous costs that escalate as the occupation remains in effect, the study cautions.

 

It highlights the peculiarities of oil and natural gas as non-renewable resources, arguing that current generations are not necessarily the only owners of these resources that straddle national borders and can thus be jointly owned by multiple states and generations.

 

It also recommends further detailed studies to clearly establish the Palestinian people’s right to their separate natural resources, as well as their rightful share in the common resources collectively owned by several neighbouring states in the region, including Israel.

 

The study comes ahead of the release of UNCTAD’s report on its assistance to the Palestinian people, slated for 10 September.

The released statement states that Gaza will be "a deradicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors," and that the enclave will be redeveloped for the citizens of Gaza, "who have suffered more than enough."

 

If both sides agree to this proposal, the war will immediately end. Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed upon line to prepare for a hostage release. During this time, all military operations, including aerial and artillery bombardment, will be suspended, and battle lines will remain frozen until conditions are met for the complete staged withdrawal.

 

Once all hostages are released, Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1700 Gazans who were detained after October 7th 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every Israeli hostage whose remains are released, Israel will release the remains of 15 deceased Gazans.

 

Once all hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza will be provided safe passage to receiving countries.

 

Upon acceptance of this agreement, full aid will be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip. At a minimum, aid quantities will be consistent with what was included in the January 19, 2025, agreement regarding humanitarian aid, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, electricity, sewage), rehabilitation of hospitals and bakeries, and entry of necessary equipment to remove rubble and open roads.

 

Entry of distribution and aid in the Gaza Strip will proceed without interference from the two parties through the United Nations and its agencies, and the Red Crescent, in addition to other international institutions not associated in any manner with either party. Opening the Rafah crossing in both directions will be subject to the same mechanism implemented under the January 19, 2025 agreement.

Qatar tells US it can convince Hamas to disarm, accept Trump plan

President Trump releases the outline of the negotiated agreement to end the conflict in Gaza.

President Donald J. Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict:

 

  1. Gaza will be a deradicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors.

 

  1. Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough.

 

  1. If both sides agree to this proposal, the war will immediately end. Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed upon line to prepare for a hostage release. During this time, all military operations, including aerial and artillery bombardment, will be suspended, and battle lines will remain frozen until conditions are met for the complete staged withdrawal.

 

  1. Within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting this agreement, all hostages, alive and deceased, will be returned.

 

  1. Once all hostages are released, Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1700 Gazans who were detained after October 7th, 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every Israeli hostage whose remains are released, Israel will release the remains of 15 deceased Gazans.

 

  1. Once all hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza will be provided safe passage to receiving countries.

 

  1. Upon acceptance of this agreement, full aid will be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip. At a minimum, aid quantities will be consistent with what was included in the January 19, 2025, agreement regarding humanitarian aid, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, electricity, sewage), rehabilitation of hospitals and bakeries, and entry of necessary equipment to remove rubble and open roads.

 

  1. Entry of distribution and aid in the Gaza Strip will proceed without interference from the two parties through the United Nations and its agencies, and the Red Crescent, in addition to other international institutions not associated in any manner with either party. Opening the Rafah crossing in both directions will be subject to the same mechanism implemented under the January 19, 2025, agreement.

 

  1. Gaza will be governed under the temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people in Gaza. This committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body, the “Board of Peace,” which will be headed and chaired by President Donald J. Trump, with other members and heads of State to be announced, including Former Prime Minister Tony Blair. This body will set the framework and handle the funding for the redevelopment of Gaza until such time as the Palestinian Authority has completed its reform program, as outlined in various proposals, including President Trump’s peace plan in 2020 and the Saudi-French proposal, and can securely and effectively take back control of Gaza. This body will call on best international standards to create modern and efficient governance that serves the people of Gaza and is conducive to attracting investment.

A Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energize Gaza will be created by convening a panel of experts who have helped birth some of the thriving modern miracle cities in the Middle East. Many thoughtful investment proposals and exciting development ideas have been crafted by well-meaning international groups and will be considered to synthesize the security and governance frameworks to attract and facilitate these investments that will create jobs, opportunity, and hope for future Gaza.

Bondi DOJ Opposes Missouri’s Second Amendment Preservation Act

The Department of Justice under Attorney General Pam Bondi has continued to attack Missouri’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA), treating it much the same way the Biden administration did. That decision is striking, because it puts Bondi’s DOJ at odds with both the text of the Constitution and President Trump’s own executive order directing agencies to protect Second Amendment rights.

 

Missouri’s SAPA, enacted in 2021, was the state’s effort to ensure that its officers and resources would not be used to enforce federal gun control measures that exceed constitutional limits. The law prohibits state officials from enforcing certain federal firearms statutes and penalizes agencies that cooperate with them. At its core, the SAPA reflects a well-established principle: the federal government may not commandeer state officials to carry out federal policy.

 

The Supreme Court has confirmed that principle repeatedly. In cases involving firearms, immigration, environmental regulations, and even marijuana enforcement, the Court has recognized that Washington cannot force state legislatures or police to implement federal priorities. Missouri applied that same reasoning to firearms, instructing its law enforcement officers to focus on state law rather than federal regulations.

 

Bondi’s DOJ, however, has treated Missouri’s SAPA as though it were an act of nullification. In court filings, the Department has insisted that Missouri cannot insulate itself from federal gun laws and has sought to strike down the statute entirely. The irony is obvious. In our amicus briefs to defend the Missouri law, GOA has repeatedly pointed out that the SAPA does not prevent federal agents from enforcing federal law. It simply says Missouri’s officers will not be conscripted to help. That is a crucial distinction, and it is one with strong constitutional backing.

The ISF will train and provide support to vetted Palestinian police forces in Gaza and will consult with Jordan and Egypt who have extensive experience in this field. This force will be the long-term internal security solution. The ISF will work with Israel and Egypt to help secure border areas, along with newly trained Palestinian police forces. It is critical to prevent munitions from entering Gaza and to facilitate the rapid and secure flow of goods to rebuild and revitalize Gaza. A deconfliction mechanism will be agreed upon by the parties.

 

  1. Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza. As the ISF establishes control and stability, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will withdraw based on standards, milestones, and timeframes linked to demilitarization that will be agreed upon between the IDF, ISF, the guarantors, and the Unites States, with the objective of a secure Gaza that no longer poses a threat to Israel, Egypt, or its citizens.

Practically, the IDF will progressively hand over the Gaza territory it occupies to the ISF according to an agreement they will make with the transitional authority until they are withdrawn completely from Gaza, save for a security perimeter presence that will remain until Gaza is properly secure from any resurgent terror threat.

 

  1. In the event Hamas delays or rejects this proposal, the above, including the scaled-up aid operation, will proceed in the terror-free areas handed over from the IDF to the ISF.

 

  1. An interfaith dialogue process will be established based on the values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence to try and change mindsets and narratives of Palestinians and Israelis by emphasizing the benefits that can be derived from peace.

 

  1. While Gaza re-development advances and when the PA reform program is faithfully carried out, the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we recognize as the aspiration of the Palestinian people.

She has had her bank accounts cancelled – simply losing the money in them – and cannot open a new account. You may recall they tried to debank Nigel Farage. The campaign to defend Julian Assange suffered multiple banking cancellations.

 

The desire of the state to control people politically through their ability to carry out ordinary transactions is not in doubt. It is demonstrated. Once you have a compulsory digital ID linked to transactions – which will follow very swiftly, I am quite certain – they will be able to simply switch off your ability to pay for anything. Add this to a digital currency which tracks all of your expenditure – all the key elements of which are already installed – and total control will be in place.

Mark Francis Ford, 64, was cuffed in Indiana on Thursday for charges stemming from allegations at a Roman Catholic church in New Orleans where he used to serve.

 

An unidentified man, now 31, alleged that Ford began abusing him in 2004, when he was just 10 years old, after meeting the Vincentian priest through a program he ran for children with disabilities.

 

The exact circumstances of the abuse were not clear, but the man — who is under his mother’s permanent tutorship — said it continued until around 2022 or 2023, long after the clergyman had left the priesthood for greener pastures in government.

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California told “CNN News Central” co-host Kate Bolduan on Monday that House Democrats planned to go after private citizens working with the Trump administration after the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey.

 

A federal grand jury indicted Comey on charges of lying to Congress and obstruction on Thursday over testimony given during a September 2020 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. “Well, first, we’re making it clear that we’re going into the majority a year from now,” Swalwell told Bolduan. “We have every intention to do that, and so we will bring oversight, accountability, we will subpoena the Department of Justice, but also private actors who have done these drug deals with the administration, college campuses, entertainment companies, law firms and so accountability is coming.”

“And so, one, it’s all coming out, two, I hope that deters people from doing more of these deals, these one-offs with the president,” Swalwell continued. “One other point, though, on Comey, Kate, this happened when Donald Trump was president. So if you’re trying to tell me this is not politically motivated, the statement that they’re referring to where he allegedly lied, Donald Trump was president, so why didn’t you indict him then? The fact that he’s indicting him now just makes it look even more politically motivated, and so I’m pretty confident that this will either be dismissed or Mr. Comey will be acquitted by a jury of his peers.”

Trump Will Attend Gathering of U.S. Military Officials Ordered by Pete Hegseth

President Donald Trump will attend Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s large gathering of top U.S. military officials in Virginia this week.

The president classified the meeting to NBC News asjust a “very nice meeting talking about how well we’re doing militarily, talking about being in great shape, talking about a lot of good, positive things.”

“We have some great people coming in, and it’s just an esprit de corps. You know the expression ‘esprit de corps?’” Trump said in a phone interview. “That’s all it’s about. We’re talking about what we’re doing, what they’re doing, and how we’re doing.”

As Breitbart News reported last week, Hegseth ordered hundreds of U.S. military leaders, including generals and admirals, to gather on short notice this coming Tuesday at a U.S. Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia. According to the Washington Post, the directive included “virtually all of the military’s top commanders worldwide.” Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed to the Post that Hegseth “will be addressing his senior military leaders early next week,” while offering no further details. He also expressed no concerns about the meeting.

“There are about 800 generals and admirals spread across the United States and dozens of other countries and time zones,” noted the Post. Hegseth’s order …applies to all senior officers with the rank of brigadier general or above, or their Navy equivalent, serving in command positions and their top enlisted advisers.”

“Top commanders in conflict zones and senior military leaders stationed throughout Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region are among those expected to attend Hegseth’s meeting, said people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to publicly discuss the issue,” the outlet added.

One source said military officials could not recall seeing such an order previously, sparking concern.

“People are very concerned. They have no idea what it means,”one source told the Post.

Both President Trump and Vice President JD Vance have dismissed those concerns.

“It’s actually not unusual at all, and I think it’s odd that you guys have made it into such a big story,”Vance told reporters.

Turkey’s government openly supports Hamas and rejects the blockade that both Israel and Egypt have imposed on the Gaza Strip since Hamas took over in a coup in 2007 and sought to import weapons.

 

Earlier this year, Thunberg was a participant in another flotilla that tried to reach Hamas-run Gaza and was intercepted. She was arrested and deported. She later claimed that she had been “kidnapped” by Israel.

President Donald Trump compelled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to apologize to the Prime Minister of Qatar over last month’s airstrike targeting Hamas terrorists in the Qatari capital of Doha.

 

The unusual apology likely signals that a deal is in the works for an end to the war in Gaza. Israel would almost certainly have refused to apologize for defending itself without receiving concessions in return.

 

Israel launched the airstrike after Hamas claimed credit for further terror attacks inside Israel. Hamas’s billionaire leaders live in comfortable exile in Doha while ordering Palestinians to die as terrorists in Gaza.

 

While Israel had hoped to kill senior Hamas leaders, it only managed to kill some junior officials, plus one Qatari guard. It is possible Qatar, after being warned by the U.S., tipped off Hamas leaders about the attack.

 

The Times of Israel reported:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just apologized to the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, for the Israeli strike in Qatar on September 9.

 

Channel 12 says Netanyahu spoke by phone for several minutes with Al Thani from the White House, where he is being hosted by US President Donald Trump. Trump was also on the call.

 

A foreign diplomat familiar with the matter confirms to The Times of Israel that Netanyahu apologized to Al Thani for Israel’s strike in Doha that killed a Qatari security guard along with several lower-level Hamas members.

 

Israel made a similar apology in 2013, when President Barack Obama compelled Netanyahu to apologize to Turkey for intercepting a boat, the Mavi Marmara, full of armed Hamas supporters. Violence then ensued.

Such apologies rarely amount to accepting any real fault, but are seen as necessary for diplomatic purposes. In the Turkish case, the U.S. helped broker an improvement in Israeli-Turkish relations, which have since worsened again.

Former Teacher, Ex-Clown Accused Of Murdering Wife Drops Dead Moments Before Sentencing

A Texas man collapsed and died in a Houston courtroom Friday just before a judge would sentence him to 35 years in prison for murdering his wife.

 

James Paul Anderson, 39, suffered a medical emergency shortly after arriving at the Criminal Justice Center’s 208th District Court, according to Harris County District Attorney’s news release. The defendant was out on a $300,000 bond and had agreed to accept a plea deal for killing his wife, Victoria Anderson, in 2023.

 

A court bailiff administered naloxone before paramedics transported Anderson to Ben Taub Hospital. Doctors pronounced him dead at 11:05 a.m. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will conduct an autopsy. Houston Police Department arrested Anderson after a standoff at his Kingwood home following the shooting.

 

Witnesses told KHOU that Anderson spoke with his attorney before asking for time alone. He then spit something into a trash can. Minutes later, he started vomiting and became visibly ill.

Anderson’s attorney found a bag containing a brown, crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine in the trash can. The judge cleared the courtroom and declared it a possible crime scene.

 

Victoria Anderson called 911 in September 2023 to report her husband threatened to shoot her. The operator heard gunfire during the call. When police arrived, Anderson let his 3-year-old son leave before barricading himself inside for several hours. Prosecutors said they believed the child witnessed his mother’s death.

 

Court records showed previous domestic issues at the home. Victoria filed for divorce about a month before the shooting. Anderson worked in Cleveland ISD’s special education department.

Hurricane Humberto rapidly strengthened Saturday to form into a Category 5, the highest category a tropical cyclone can be, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

 

It’s the first time in 92 years that there’s been consecutive seasons where multiple Category 5 hurricanes have been in the Atlantic Ocean. The last time was in 1932 and 1933 during the Great Depression.

 

Humberto currently has 160 mph sustained winds and is located around 400 miles from the northern Leeward Islands in a north direction.

 

Hurricane Humberto originally developed Friday morning, clinching its status as the third hurricane and eighth named storm of the Atlantic season.

 

Humberto-generated swells will start to impact the northern Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Bermuda over the weekend, which will cause rip current conditions and surf to be life-threatening, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

 

Over the coming days, it’s expected that Hurricane Humberto will curve to the west-northwest or northwest, per the NHC.

 

The most recent track from forecasters has Humberto turning out to sea hundreds of miles away from the East Coast of the United States.

 

Tropical Depression Nine is also being monitored by forecasters regarding whether or not Hurricane Humberto will affect the system, which is located west of the Category 5 storm. Several computer forecast models have Tropical Depression Nine making impacts on the U.S. Southeastern coast.

 

The Atlantic hurricane season ends Nov. 30.

8 Somali Migrants Get Federal Charges in First Wave of Minnesota Housing Fraud Scheme

 

Federal prosecutors in Minnesota say eight Somali migrants fabricated clients, billed Medicaid for the fictitious clients, and stole millions from Minnesota’s Housing Stabilization Service program. Prosecutors called the arrests “just the first wave” of indictments. The Medicaid scheme may have cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars: in 2021, there were claims totaling $21 million that rose to $104 million in claims by 2024.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services has fired Eric Grumdahl, an assistant commissioner who oversaw the agency’s housing services, just hours before a public hearing. Grumdahl had worked for the Minnesota Department of Human Services since 2022 and previously was employed by the Obama administration.

 

The Medicaid housing scandal joins a growing list of major fraud cases in Minnesota. A $250 million COVID relief program intended to feed children instead became one of the largest fraud cases in state history. The Somali community is also accused of scamming tens of millions in taxpayer dollars to fund hundreds of autism clinics. Over the last five years, autism providers in the state surged from 41 to 328. The state’s autism spending soared from $6 million to $192 million during the same period.

 

Acting US Attorney Joseph Thompson called the fraud in Minnesota a crisis: “What we see are schemes stacked upon schemes, draining resources meant for those in need. It feels never ending. I have spent my career as a fraud prosecutor and the depth of the fraud in Minnesota takes my breath away. The fraud must be stopped.”

 

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is up for reelection and will have to face tough questions about fraud in the migrant community that, with the COVID scam, phony autism programs and Medicaid housing cheating, could reach $1 billion.
