Fox News' Bill Hemmer, in a carefully crafted lie by omission, portrays Ed Gallrein as the fundraising underdog facing off against Rep. Thomas Massie.

 

"[Massie's] raised twice as much as you have," he tells Gallrein.

 

He then puts up a deceptive graphic that's clearly aimed at leading his viewers to think Massie's team is outspending Gallrein's.

 

Gallrein then claims Massie's being funded by unnamed "liberal elites" who someone in the media ought to "look into," and rather than offer any pushback (all donations over $200 are public), Hemmer says "mm-hmm"—effectively nodding along and taking a side despite being a supposed "impartial journalist."

 

Of course, there was no mention of the fact that nearly all of Gallrein's funds are coming from Israel Lobby super PACs and most of that money traces back to three Israel First billionaire donors: Miriam Adelson, Paul Singer and John Paulson. That was all just deceptively bundled in the nondescript "overall funds spent" category of Fox's graphic.

 

This is journalistic fraud.

Authorities Name Teen Suspects in San Diego Mosque Shooting — One Trans-Appearing Nazi, One Hispanic Nazi — Not What the Media Expected

The media was already gearing up for their favorite narrative, but the facts just ruined it.

Authorities have now identified the two teen shooters who carried out the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego on Friday. Both suspects died by self-inflicted gunshot wounds after the shooting that left five people dead, including the two gunmen and a security guard.

The suspects are 17-year-old Cain Clark and 18-year-old Caleb Vazquez.

Law enforcement sources say anti-Islamic writings were found in the BMW where the suspects’ bodies were discovered. There was also a gas can with an “SS” sticker — the symbol of Nazi Germany’s elite paramilitary force — on the side.

This is not the story the mainstream media and activist class were hoping for. Instead of the usual “white supremacist” or “MAGA extremist” angle they rush to push, we have one suspect who presents as transgender (or at the very least appears extremely feminine) and another who is Hispanic.

 

Online, many are already calling Cain Clark a “trans terrorist” because of his strikingly feminine appearance despite being biologically male. The Libs of TikTok account highlighted the photo, and the comments section exploded with people pointing out how Clark looks like a girl.

 

The “SS” bolts are a skinhead/Nazi symbol, but as some have noted, traditional skinhead crews in the San Diego area don’t usually accept Hispanics. The gas can in the photo also appears to be a California-compliant model without the required special nozzle, raising questions about where it came from.

No motive has been officially released yet, but the anti-Islamic writings and Nazi symbols point to a clear ideological attack.

This case is another reminder that violent extremism and radical ideologies don’t fit neatly into the left’s preferred narrative. The corporate media loves to blame “white supremacy” for every tragedy, but when the suspects don’t match the script, the story quietly fades or gets memory-holed.

President Trump has been warning for years about the real threats we face — radical Islam, unchecked mental health issues, open borders, and the breakdown of basic values. The object has since become the subject of intense speculation within UFO circles, with some comparing it to the earlier 'Buga Sphere' case that gained traction online after claims of unusual markings and unexplained internal structures.

 

According to reports, the second sphere is distinct from the original Buga sphere, but it shares several similarities, including equatorial lines and holes that supposedly contain fibre optics.

While no official scientific organisation has authenticated the object, the story has spread rapidly across social media platforms and UFO communities.

 

Comparing the Buga Sphere to the Valdivia Sphere

The first sphere was seen in 2025 March when a farmer found the seamless metallic orb after it fell from the sky and hit a powerline in Buga, Colombia.

According to researcher Jose Luis Velasquez, who inspected the Buga Sphere, the object had no welds or joints, features that indicate that it was made by a human.

'It is a very rare piece … I've never seen a piece like this', Velasquez then told People Magazine. Upon conducting X-ray scans into the sphere, they found out that it had three metal-like layers and contained nine microspheres in its interior.

 

Velasquez added that it might be of extraterrestrial origin due to its lack of welds or joints. Reports also suggested that the Buga Sphere allegedly responded to Sanskrit mantras and Vedic chants.

Meanwhile, the Valdivia Sphere, weighing 13 kilogrammes (29 pounds), carries no Proto Sanskrit glyphs as compared to the Buga Sphere, Maussan said, but it has the same shape, construction, and surface etchings.

It also has an unknown internal artifact not found in the original Buga sphere. Maussan stated that both objects show identical advanced traits, and he is now cooperating with an American laboratory for testing.

 

CT Scans Raise More Questions Than Answers

Researchers connected to the case claim the sphere was later subjected to CT scans, revealing complex internal structures that some online commentators described as unusual.

Images reportedly from the scans show layered interiors, circular components, and symmetrical features that investigators say deserve further study.

The sphere allegedly contains equatorial grooves and small openings that some researchers speculated could involve fibre-optic-like materials.

 

However, investigators also revealed a major complication: the sphere had apparently already been cut open and resealed before the current research team obtained it.

Dr. Rogers, 68, is only coming forward now with this revelation after retiring from the Department of Defense (DoD) last month. He told DailyMail.com that he is doing so in support of other whistleblowers who have shared similar tales.

 

“I know exactly what I saw that day, and it was in no fashion a conventional flying vehicle,” he said.

“I have heard a number of members of Congress express their desire to hear more of the experiences of any additional whistleblowers.

Therefore, I am presenting my story. I hope that my report may stimulate others to reveal whatever they have similarly witnessed.”

 

Dr. Rogers said he was was stationed at the NASA facility in Cape Canaveral, Florida when another U.S. Air Force Major approached him and said, “Hey Doc, I got something to show you. It’ll knock your socks off.”

“I’m thinking, “What on earth is this guy doing?'” Rogers said. “He sits down at the computer console. It takes several minutes, then all of a sudden up on the screen comes this closed circuit television feed.”

He said the UFO footage he was shown was taken in a standard aircraft hangar. But what he witnessed was anything but standard.

 

“There’s a flying saucer,” Dr. Rogers recalled. “I would estimate it was about 20 feet wide, probably 8 to 10 feet tall, and it had a shallow dome on top of it,’ he added.

There were no antennas, there were no flight control surfaces. Everything was very smooth and blended. I saw no rivets, no seams, nothing. There was a little area on top which had a stick coming out of it.

At the top of it were umbilical hoses, like if you were feeding gasses or electricity into it. Everything was white, but there was a vertical black rectangle at the three o’clock, the six o’clock and the nine o’clock position on the upper half of the vehicle.”

What he saw next truly astonished him.

 

“I hear and see these things that look like electromagnetic charges coming off this vehicle. But there’s no devices from which they’re emanating,” he told DailyMail.com.

“All of a sudden it just lifted up, as smooth as could be,” he said. “Once it got up maybe three feet above the concrete surface, it rotated completely around, clockwise, one revolution, then it revolved counterclockwise, one revolution.”

 

When he asked the Air Force Major why they had created a flying saucer, the Air Force officer pointed his thumb to the sky and said, “We got it from them.”

He added that just like back then, government officials are trying to obfuscate the truth. “We are having videos from FA-18s and from other governmental sources that are showing these things are here,” he said.

U.S. Alleges Chinese Shipping Container Giants Rigged Global Supply During COVID Crisis

The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted four of the world’s largest shipping container manufacturers and seven senior executives in what prosecutors describe as a sweeping global conspiracy to restrict container production and inflate prices during the COVID-era supply chain crisis.

 

The superseding indictment, unsealed Tuesday in the Northern District of California, alleges the companies conspired from at least late 2019 through early 2024 to limit output and fix prices for standard dry shipping containers — the steel boxes that move the vast majority of global trade.

 

Federal prosecutors allege the conspiracy roughly doubled container prices between 2019 and 2021, generating windfall profits as global supply chains buckled under pandemic disruptions. According to the indictment, profits at China International Marine Containers (CIMC) surged from about $19.8 million in 2019 to roughly $1.75 billion by 2021.

 

The case targets four major Chinese container manufacturing firms: China International Marine Containers, Singamas Container Holdings, Shanghai Universal Logistics Equipment, and CXIC Group Containers. Together, Chinese manufacturers account for more than 90% of global container production.

 

One executive, Singamas marketing director Vick Nam Hing Ma, was arrested in France on April 14 and is awaiting extradition to the United States. Six other executives remain at large, according to the Justice Department.

 

Prosecutors allege executives from the companies met at CIMC headquarters in Shenzhen in November 2019 and agreed to restrict production through a coordinated system of factory controls and quotas.

 

According to the indictment, the alleged cartel implemented strict production limits that included reducing factory shifts and working hours, installing 87 surveillance cameras across 49 production lines to monitor compliance, avoiding construction of new container factories, and creating financial penalty mechanisms for companies that exceeded agreed output levels.

 

The alleged conspiracy later evolved into customer allocation and cargo-volume caps affecting major container lessors, shipping lines, and logistics providers in the United States and globally, prosecutors said.

 

“Global price-fixing cartels strike at the heart of our economic liberty,” Acting Assistant Attorney General Omeed Assefi said in a statement. “The defendants held hostage the world’s supply of ocean shipping containers during the Covid pandemic when our supply chains needed it the most.”

 

The allegations strike at the center of a maritime supply chain vulnerability that became painfully visible during the pandemic, when shortages of containers contributed to historic port congestion, soaring freight rates, and massive disruptions to global trade.

 

China dominates the global container manufacturing industry, accounting for more than 90% of world supply. During the pandemic-era shipping boom, container prices more than doubled as carriers and shippers scrambled for equipment.

 

The case also adds to mounting U.S. scrutiny of China’s dominance across maritime supply chains, including shipbuilding, port equipment, intermodal chassis, and container manufacturing.

 

A 2025 Section 301 investigation by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative concluded that China’s maritime industrial strategy posed significant economic and national security risks to the United States, citing Beijing’s overwhelming control over container production and other critical shipping infrastructure.

 

The Sherman Act charges carry maximum penalties of 10 years in prison and $1 million fines for individuals, while corporations face fines of up to $100 million or twice the gains derived from the alleged conduct.

Federal authorities are reportedly investigating whether Chinese companies deliberately restricted production of shipping containers just before the COVID-19 pandemic, a move that could have worsened one of the most painful supply chain shocks in recent history.

 

According to an exclusive report from CBS News, the probe focuses on a small group of Chinese firms that dominate the global manufacturing of unrefrigerated shipping containers. Investigators are examining whether the companies slowed production in late 2019 by limiting employee work hours, a step authorities believe could point to a plot to reduce global supply and push prices higher.

Several Chinese executives have been indicted, two sources told the network, and the Justice Department was expected to unseal the indictment Tuesday. The timing is central to the case as China reported the first cluster of COVID-19 cases in December 2019, and the outbreak spread globally in early 2020.

 

Within months, factories shut down, and companies struggled to move merchandise across oceans as the pandemic raged. The U.S. International Trade Commission later described the chaos as a two-part shock. "The contraction of U.S. merchandise trade in the first half of 2020, coupled with a slowdown in manufacturing in China, led container shipping firms to cancel scheduled sailings (called 'blank sailings') and consolidate shipping routes to focus service on major ports in the first half of 2020," the USITC wrote.

 

In the first half of 2020, U.S. maritime container imports fell 7% by volume compared with the same period in 2019. But in the second half of 2020 imports surged 9.5%, and fourth-quarter containerized imports jumped 16.4% year over year. The commission said the number of containers in circulation was not enough to meet storage needs and stronger-than-expected import demand.

 

The report comes days after U.S President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met for more than two hours in Beijing, with discussions touching on Iran and Chinese investment in the United States. The White House said both sides agreed that the Strait of Hormuz "must remain open," though China's official readout did not mention it. Xi also reportedly told the numerous CEOs accompanying Trump during his visit that "China's door will only open wider and wider" for them.

 

A 2025 report by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said, "For nearly three decades, China has targeted the maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding sectors for dominance and has employed increasingly aggressive and specific targets in pursuing dominance of the maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding sectors," creating economic and security risks for the United States.

 

In 2022, the Justice Department said China International Marine Containers abandoned a planned acquisition of Maersk Container Industry after an antitrust review. DOJ said the deal would have combined two of the world's four suppliers of insulated container boxes and refrigerated shipping containers, and would have put more than 90% of global refrigerated container production under Chinese state-owned or state-controlled entities.

He was arrested on April 14, 2026, in France and his extradition to the United States is pending. Following Ma’s arrest, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California unsealed today a superseding indictment charging Ma and 10 of his co-conspirators for conspiring to restrict the output of—and fix the price of — nearly all the world’s standard unrefrigerated shipping containers (also known as standard dry containers), the intermodal containers which carry billions of dollars of goods across the oceans to American households each year. In total, the superseding indictment charges 11 defendants, including 10 of Ma’s co-conspirators:

 

Singamas Container Holdings Ltd. (Singamas) also known as “胜狮货柜企业有限公司” in Chinese, was a publicly traded company, organized and existing under the laws of Hong Kong in the People’s Republic of China. Singamas was engaged in the business of manufacturing dry shipping containers and selling them to customers in the United States and elsewhere.

China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC), also known as “中国国际海运集装箱（集团）股份有限公司” in Chinese, was a publicly traded company, organized and existing under the laws of the People’s Republic of China. CIMC was engaged in the business of manufacturing dry shipping containers and selling them to customers in the United States and elsewhere.

Shanghai Universal Logistics Equipment Co., Ltd., also known as “上海寰宇物流装备有限公司” in Chinese, was a company organized and existing under the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Shanghai Universal Logistics Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Dong Fang”) owned, managed, and did business as a brand of shipping containers called Dong Fang International Containers, also known as “DF”, “DFIC”, or Dong Fang. Dong Fang was engaged in the business of manufacturing dry shipping containers and selling them to customers in the United States and elsewhere.

CXIC Group Containers Co. Ltd. (CXIC) also known as “新华昌集团有限公司” in Chinese, was a company organized and existing under the laws of the People’s Republic of China. CXIC was engaged in the business of manufacturing dry shipping containers and selling them to customers in the United States and elsewhere.

Siong Seng Teo, 71, also known as “張松聲” and “张松声” in Chinese, and “S. Teo,” was employed by Singamas as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Teo is believed to be a resident of the Republic of Singapore.

Boliang Mai, 67, also known as “麦伯良” in Chinese, was employed by CIMC in various senior roles. From August 2015 through July 2020, Mai served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CIMC. From August 2020 through the rest of the period covered by the Superseding Indictment, he served as Chairman and CEO of CIMC. Mai is believed to be a resident of the People’s Republic of China.

Tianhua Huang, 62, also known as “黄田化” in Chinese and “T.H. Huang,” was employed by CIMC as Vice President. Huang is believed to be a resident of the People’s Republic of China.

Yongbo Wan, 47, also known as “万永波” in Chinese, was employed by CIMC as General Manager of CIMC’s Operation Management Center. Wan is believed to be a resident of the People’s Republic of China.

Qianmin Li, 62, also known as “李前敏” in Chinese, was employed by Dong Fang as General Manager. Li is believed to be a resident of the People’s Republic of China.

I was AG Paxton’s lawyer during the failed attempt to impeach him. I studied every piece of evidence. I cross examined the key witnesses. It quickly became apparent to me that the entire effort was sloppily thrown together by those he opposed—the old guard, the establishment. Their hope was that with unsupported, salacious allegations, along with a compliant and willing media, Paxton would quit. He would not quit. He will not quit. He will never quit. The totality of the impeachment evidence was nothing more than junk. And it didn’t take much effort to expose it. In the process I came to know Ken Paxton. He is thoughtful, strategic, and brilliant. A senior official from the administration of US President Donald Trump personally intervened to help former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, wanted by Warsaw on criminal charges, flee to the US, Reuters has reported.

 

US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau instructed senior US State Department officials to facilitate and approve a visa for Ziobro, the outlet wrote on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

 

Landau reportedly learned of Ziobro’s case earlier this year from US ambassador to Warsaw Tom Rose and believed the ex-minister was being unjustly prosecuted. Landau reportedly described the matter as “a national security issue,” Reuters added.

 

Granting a visa to a politician facing criminal charges in a US-allied country is “highly unusual,” the outlet noted. Poland’s current Justice Minister Waldemar Zurek expressed surprise at the report on Tuesday, saying that Warsaw expected its American allies to discuss such a matter. He insisted that Warsaw will “do everything” to bring Ziobro to justice in Poland.

 

Ziobro faces multiple criminal charges tied to alleged abuse of power while in office.Prosecutors accuse him of leading a criminal group that diverted public money to purchase Israeli-made Pegasus spyware, which was allegedly used to surveil political opponents and journalists. Ziobro could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

 

Ziobro, a member of parliament from the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, has argued that the inquiry is illegal. PiS ruled Poland from 2015 to late 2023, when the coalition of Prime Minister Donald Tusk took over. The new government has launched multiple inquiries into its predecessor’s alleged misdeeds. The EU will turn to along-term strategy involving cow dung to stave off a looming fertilizer shortage, rather than supporting farmers with immediate measures like suspending tariffs on Russian and Belarusian imports, Politico wrote on Monday.

 

The US-Israeli war on Iran disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which handles an estimated one third of the global fertilizer trade, and a fifth of the world’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a commodity important in the production of nitrate fertilizers. The key waterway was blocked during planting season in the Northern Hemisphere, with analysts warning of a potential global shortage of crucial crop nutrients and a delayed world-wide food shock.

 

As the EU had already secured fertilizer supplies this crop season, any knock-on effect for the bloc’s farmers and consumers is likely to be delayed, Politico wrote.

 

The European Commission’s latest roadmap to parry the upcoming shortage is a long-term plan that has been around for years, with just a few emergency additions such as state aid for affected farmers, the designation of fertilizers as a crisis-relevant commodity and a promised boost for the EU farm budget, the outlet wrote.

 

However, some EU officials have reportedly warned that a long-term strategy relying on cow dung would not be enough.

 

“Manure can be a contribution, but it can never substitute the urea-based, the nitrogen-based fertilizers,” Politico cited Italian MEP and AGRI Committee member Herbert Dorfmann as saying.

 

Fast-acting measures to aid farmers, such as suspending taxes on carbon-intensive imports or tariffs on Russian and Belarusian fertilizers were dismissed as “too politically toxic,” the outlet said.

 

The EU was the top buyer of Russian crop nutrients until 2022, receiving around 28% of its exports. Following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict and the bloc’s imposition of sanctions on Russia, Moscow redirected much of its fertilizer trade to BRICS nations and the Global South.

 

Since 2021, Russia has increased sales of mineral fertilizers to BRICS countries by 71%, and now holds first place worldwide in exports of the commodities and second place in output, Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers head Andrey Guryev said earlier this year.

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic has refused to approve Israel’s new ambassador to Zagreb, citing disagreements with the Israeli government’s actions.

 

The presidential office announced the decision on Monday.

 

“The proposed Ambassador of theState of Israel has not received, nor will he receive, the consent of the President of the Republic Zoran Milanovic due to the policies pursued by the current Israeli authorities,” it said in a statement.

 

Israel deviated from established diplomatic norms by announcing their proposed ambassador before he was approved by the Croatian president, it added. “Public or political pressure, in this case from the Israeli side, will not alter the President of the Republic’s decision.”

 

The term of Israel’s current ambassador to Zagreb, Gary Koren, expires at the end of the May. Israeli diplomat Nisan Amdor, whom West Jerusalem last year selected to replace him, will instead arrive in Croatia next month as charge d’affaires, a post not requiring presidential approval, Ynet reported on Monday.

 

Milanovic and Koren have feuded in recent months, with the president summoning the Israeli ambassador after the latter made comments suggesting that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) could be conducting espionage activities from within the Iranian Embassy in Zagreb. “We don’t want other people’s infections and germs in Croatia, neither Iranian nor Israeli,” Milanovic said in March after the incident.

 

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar responded by accusing the president of using “hate-filled language about Israel and Zionism.”

 

Milanovic has long been sharply critical of the Israeli government, accusing it of carrying out “bestial war crimes” in its military operation in Gaza. The enclave’s authorities say the war has left nearly 73,000 Palestinians dead since its onset in October 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel, killing around 1,200 people and kidnapping more than 250.

 

Moscow has also been critical of the Israeli blockade and bombing of the Palestinian enclave, likening it to collective punishment of both Hamas and the local civilian population.The only way out the crisis is to enact a two-state solution, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

Israeli forces have seized least 39 out of 51 at boats of the Global Sumud Flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, the organizers of the action have said.

 

Yachts with more than 420 activists from 39 countries aboarddeparted from the port of Marmaris in Türkiye last week, with the stated goal of breaking the Israeli naval blockade of the Palestinian enclave.

 

On Monday, the organizers of the flotilla issued a post on X, saying that “military vessels are currently intercepting our fleet and Israel Occupation Forces are boarding the first ⁠of our boats ⁠in broad daylight.” In a later message, they said Israeli troops had “illegally and violently” seized their ships and “abducted our volunteers.”

 

Among the hundreds of those detained was Irish doctor Margaret Connolly, the sister of Irish President Catherine Connolly, the organizers said.

 

Israeli servicemen boarded the vessels some 250 nautical miles (463 km) from Gaza, off the coast of Cyprus. According to the EU nation’s rescue services, the incident happened outside of Cypriot territorial waters. The country’s president, Nikos Christodoulides, said Israel had not informed Nicosia of its plans to act against the flotilla.

 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised “an outstanding job” by the commandos involved in the operation, claiming they were “effectively thwarting a malicious plan intended to break the isolation we are imposing on Hamas terrorists in Gaza.”

 

West Jerusalem denies withholding supplies for Palestinians in Gaza, almost 2 million of whom have been displaced since the outbreak of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in October 2023. It also earlier dismissed the flotilla as a stunt, saying that the activists had rejected an offer to pass the aid they were carrying to Israel or international organizations so that it could be delivered to Gaza via official channels.

 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described the interception of the flotilla as “piracy and banditry” and demanded that Israel to release those detained, including more than 40 residents of Türkiye.

 

Israel has intercepted several such flotillas in the past, including dozens of boats in October 2025, whose passengers included climate activist Greta Thunberg. Back then, the activists were taken to the port of Ashdod in southern Israel, where some were processed and immediately deported, while others faced detention before being expelled.

Teacher union honcho Randi Weingarten’s 2025 vanity book “Why Fascists Fear Teachers” isn’t just a self-promoting, self-glorifying soliloquy: The unreadable screed also served as a helpful cash conduit for Weingarten and her friends to make bank on the back of teachers’ union dues.

 

Weingarten’s book was something of a “group project”; a Freedom Foundation analysis of the American Federation of Teacher’s federal filings reveals that it laid out big bucks in support of this collaborative effort.

 

Teachers should ask for a refund.

 

The book’s acknowledgements praise erstwhile CNN host Sally Kohn — now a “Writer,” “Media Strategist + Trainer” in addition to “Activist,” according to her X profile — as “indispensable as a day-to-day thought partner and collaborator.”

 

Whatever a “thought partner” is — call it a fancy way to say “ghostwriter,” per the report — it sure pays well.

 

The AFT handed Kohn over $400,000 in the year leading up to publication of “Why Fascists Fear Teachers.”

 

That’s more than triple what Kohn was typically paid for her union consulting work.

 

Kohn’s not the only one to walk away with a tidy haul, according to the report.

 

Tony Powell is the photog credited with the dust-jacket back flap shot of Weingarten. He’s a well-known social butterfly on the DC scene, and was called a “21st Century Renaissance Man” by The Washington Post.

 

Powell is listed in the AFT’s filings as netting more than five grand for “Union Administration.”

 

That’s a pricey headshot!

 

Emily Krieger was paid $6,000 by the AFT for fact-checking the book.

 

But the real money, as ever, went to the lawyers.

 

Weingarten thanks attorney Charles Moerdler — a supremely connected lawyer who has been neck deep in New York politics since his days as Mayor John V. Lindsay’s housing adviser — for his “legal review” of her book.

 

Moerdler’s firm is listed in the AFT’s latest filings as receiving close to a million dollars in the previous year, including $140,000 for “Union Administration.”

 

Some of that million bucks was likely for typical lawyer work, but a healthy chunk appears to have been related to the book. (Though Weingarten claims he helped with the book on a pro bono basis.)

 

Finally, Weingarten promised that royalties from the sale of the book would go to the union and related nonprofits. But $125,000 of the proceeds went to an LLC called “Teachers Want What Kids Need.”

 

Weingartern now admits she is splitting royalties with the union.

 

Maybe fascists do fear teachers, though the argument in her book is typically lame.

 

What’s certain is that parents and taxpayers, should fear teachers unions.

 

Especially when they siphon off so much public money funneled through union dues to pay for gross propaganda like “Why Fascists Fear Teachers.”

Trump Details Military Complex Beneath and Above New White House Ballroom

The structure will feature a hospital, research facilities, meeting rooms, and dedicated spaces for military personnel.

 

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump said on May 19 that when finished, his planned White House ballroom will be the “safest building ever built.” It will serve both as a ceremonial venue and as a military-grade facility to help protect the nation’s capital, he said.

Speaking to reporters about the project’s construction progress, Trump said the structure would be designed to withstand both drone and missile attacks.

“They have a massive drone capacity,” he added, explaining that the building will also have a drone port on the roof to help protect all of Washington.

The structure will feature a hospital, research facilities, meeting rooms, and dedicated spaces for military personnel.

Trump initially announced the 90,000-square-foot White House East Wing ballroom project with an expected cost of $200 million. The estimated cost for the project has since increased to $400 million.

While standing in front of the ballroom construction site, where dozens of workers in safety vests were hammering, welding, and moving materials, Trump stated that the project is on schedule and within budget.

“The only budget change would be that we doubled the size at the request of the military,” he said.

The president explained that the building goes down six stories underground and is highly complex, integrating both drone and missile protection systems, along with drone capabilities on the roof. According to Trump, the roof will also accommodate snipers, who will have “a very clear view” of Washington due to the building’s height.

The ballroom project, envisioned by Trump for years as a classical addition to the executive mansion, has faced repeated legal hurdles.

“This is really for other presidents. This is not for me,” Trump said. “This is my gift to the United States of America. I’m going to be able to use it very little.”

Senate Republicans sought to include a $1 billion provision in the recent immigration and border enforcement funding package to finance the White House ballroom expansion and Secret Service package.

The Secret Service had requested the money after an alleged assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last month, when Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were evacuated.

However, on May 16, Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough blocked the proposed provision from being included in the budget reconciliation bill. According to MacDonough, the proposal breaks the rules of the reconciliation process. The parliamentarian’s go-ahead is traditionally required to approve individual items passed under the partisan process.

Since he took office, Trump has championed building a new ballroom funded by private donations. Despite being a national landmark, the White House has limited space to accommodate large gatherings.

The East Room, the largest event space on the property, fits about 200 guests. The State Dining Room, used for formal dinners and receptions, holds 140 people. As a result, large gatherings are often hosted in temporary tents built on the South Lawn.

Trump said he wanted the ballroom’s exterior to look as impressive as the Supreme Court’s, or even better.

“I’ve always admired the facade of the Supreme Court,” Trump told reporters.

“The thing I do best in life is build. I’m a great builder, and I build beautiful products,” Trump said, adding that the ballroom project has already exceeded expectations.

“I think it’s going to be potentially the most beautiful building in all of Washington.”
