Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has urged his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, to take the lead in promoting dialogue between the EU and Russia, saying the Ukraine conflict should be resolved through direct talks rather than further escalation.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Lukashenko revealed details of a phone call with Macron on May 24, saying he proposed a meeting in Minsk involving himself, the French president, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Lukashenko,Macron did not rule out such a meeting but said he would first need to consult with his European allies. The Belarusian leader said he responded by urging Macron to take the initiative,describing him as one of Europe's most experienced statesmen.

“You’re the veteran among Europe’s leaders. Today, you are the key player and the driving force in Europe,” Lukashenko recalled telling Macron. “You should call Putin, come, sit down, and talk man to man.” (He’s got to be bullshitting Macron.)

EU officials have for months complained that US-Russian negotiations on the Ukraine conflict have left the Europeans sidelined. However, the 27-member bloc has still failed to agree on who could speak for its interests in possible direct negotiations with Moscow, which Brussels cut off after the escalation of the conflict in 2022.

On Thursday, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas claimed that Russia was setting a “trap” for the EU by encouraging member states to decide who should represent the bloc in direct talks with Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said Moscow never rejected direct contact with Western leaders and “they can just call President Putin.”

According to Lukashenko, Macron had also expressed concerns about Belarus potentially being drawn deeper into the Ukraine conflict.

The Belarusian leader dismissed such speculation, stating: “I am not planning to enter any war. Why would I?”

Lukashenko also rejected claims that recent joint nuclear drills conducted by Moscow and Minsk signaled preparations for a wider escalation.

The drill in Belarus was focused on concealed deployment, long-distance maneuvers and training the troops’ ability to prepare for launches from unscheduled locations, according to the sides.

Russia stationed nuclear weapons in Belarus in 2023, following repeated requests from Minsk. It also deployed its nuclear-capable Oreshnik hypersonic missile system there last year. The Belarusian leadership cited aggressive Western policies as the reason for the deployment.

According to Lukashenko, Minsk would consider using nuclear weapons only in the event of an attack on the country.

(PS: since Macron can’t be elected again in France, he’s been working for years to get to be the head of the UN. He’s think he can lead over the U.S. and Russia, and maybe China, the three countries that knock down every stupid idea other countries suggest in the UN. It’s sad that most countries in the UN think they can rule superpowers.)

Ukraine denies to UN its drones killed 21 students

The “barbaric” Ukrainian drone strike on a Russian college dormitory in Starobelsk cannot be justified,Russian envoy Vassily Nebenzia told the UN Security Council on Thursday, comparing Kiev’s actions to the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany.

A total of 21 students, most of them young women, were killed in the attack on May 22, while 44 others were injured.

Speaking at a Security Council meeting in New York,Ukrainian representative Andrey Melnik dismissed the “so-called incident” in Starobelsk as “a fake story,” accusing Russia of spreading “yet another propaganda narrative.” US deputy envoyTammy Brucecondemned what Russia described as retaliatory strikes on Kiev as “obscene and unacceptable.” (WTF)

Nebenzia accused the West of turning a blind eye to the “cynical act of terrorism” in Starobelsk.

“What is particularly striking is the hypocrisy and cynicism of the European delegations.They usually rush to make accusations against Russia whenever it is politically convenient, yet in this case they have chosen to essentially ignore the tragedy and pin the blame on Moscow,” Nebenzia said.

The Russian diplomat said 51 civilians have been killed by Ukrainian forces over the past week, and 199 others were injured, including 20 children. He added that, over the same period, Ukraine launched more than 4,300 drones at civilian targets, including residential neighborhoods, schools, and hospitals.

Nebenzia stressed that the Russian strikes on Kiev on May 24 targeted “military-industrial sites,” including facilities involved in drone production.

“Let us reiterate what we have said many times before:Our armed forces do not target civilians or civilian infrastructure,” he said.

In response to the attack on Starobelsk, Russia announced thatit would carry out “systematic” strikes on military sites and command centers in Ukraine.

Lebanese PM accuses Israel of 'mass expulsion' in southern Lebanon - report

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said that Israel is "pursuing a policy of mass expulsion in southern Lebanon," on Saturday, claiming that Israel was not only violating Lebanon's sovereignty but also erasing its history with its destruction.

This was Hezbollah's first barrage of missiles fired against Nahariya in almost a month, with the IDF reporting that several projectiles were intercepted or fell into open areas.

Hezbollah also targeted the city of Karmiel, in northern Israel, in an incident that represented the deepest attack by the Lebanese terror organization since the ceasefire was agreed a month ago.

ABC Accuses Trump Administration of Threatening Its Broadcast Licenses

It is exceedingly hard for the government to revoke station licenses under the law, and the process for trying to do so would most likely outlast Mr. Trump’s presidency. But a hearing could come much sooner, giving Mr. Trump and Mr. Carr, his lead attacker against the major networks, a high-profile venue at which to hurl accusations of bias against a presidential media bête noire.

In a public notice issued earlier Thursday, the agency emphasized the rights it has to enforce “public interest standards” for broadcast stations. The standards require stations to provide candidates running for the same political office equal time on non-news shows, to refrain from indecent content and to provide a certain amount of children’s programming each week.

Since assuming the F.C.C. chairmanship at the start of Mr. Trump’s presidency, Mr. Carr has accused the networks of having a liberal bias that could by itself place them in violation of the public interest standards — raising hackles from free-speech advocates and, most recently, ABC itself.

But the F.C.C.’s public notice asserted that the agency’s authority was a “supple instrument” that could be used to force compliance, and that it had flexibility in deciding when and how to apply its powers, including by calling on stations to apply for their licenses early.

In its filing, ABC noted that the F.C.C. had not called for an early station renewal in more than 50 years and had never done so for an entire group of network-owned stations at once.

“This effort to suppress speech under the guise of bureaucratic process must not prevail,” the network wrote, calling on the agency to “rescind the order.”

In his statement on Thursday, Mr. Carr said the F.C.C. had ordered ABC to apply early for its licenses after the commission “informed the company that their responses to the agency’s investigation had been disingenuous, deficient and improper.”

But ABC said in its application package that it had supplied all requested documents, numbering in the thousands. It said no one at the agency had indicated that the F.C.C. found its cooperation to be insufficient before the F.C.C. issued its order.

The F.C.C. could grant renewals of ABC’s licenses. But if Mr. Carr decides against renewing them, he would have to hold a hearing on the issue either before the agency’s administrative law judge or before a gathering of the full commission, which currently has two Republicans — Mr. Carr and Olivia Trusty — and one Democrat, Anna Gomez.

Even then, ABC would be able to appeal up to the federal court circuit, opening an entirely new round of litigation. The process could take several years, and ABC would maintain its right to broadcast on its stations as it played out.

But the process would leave a cloud over the network’s future finances, as its stations are important revenue generators. Already, the network said, it was given an unusually short amount of time to draft applications for eight stations. It said that it had asked for a 60-day extension “to ensure a more orderly and thorough diligence process” but that the agency “denied the request without explanation.”

His message deserves to be heard by every American who drives a car, runs a business, or buys groceries:

“Commercial inventories of crude oil, of liquids, think petroleum, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel,they’ve all run down. And running down those inventories has mitigated or offset, supplemented by the release of strategic petroleum reserves,which most of the Western countries have done. All of that has mitigated the impact. You can model this. We’ve modeled it. I think a lot of people in the industry have modeled it.

We’re approaching unheard of inventory levels. I mean, really, really low levels. You can debate whether that’s going to hit those really low levels in two weeks or three weeks. NewsNation journalist Ross Coulthart said last week that the Trump Administration is seeking advice on how to tell the public that “we are not alone”, adding that he, too, has been consulted.

Lue Elizondo, the former Director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), which studied Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) for the U.S. Government, told Liberation Times that the greater danger may not be information itself, but the vacuum created by withholding it.

“What creates anxiety in people on any topic, any issue, really, typically is not information, it’s a lack of information,” Elizondo said.

“Because a lack of information creates a vacuum. And in that vacuum, we allow our wildest imaginations, both our greatest hopes and our biggest fears, to manifest.”

He added that there would likely be “some level of ontological shock” when “the masses become acutely aware of the situation.”

For some sources, any serious disclosure process would also have to consider the Vatican.

That is not only because any confirmation of non-human intelligence would carry profound religious implications. It is also because, according to sources, the Holy See may have been part of the story from the beginning.

Those sources claim Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who appeared in the UFO disclosure documentary The Age of Disclosure and has spoken publicly about the issue, may well be aware of allegations surrounding a crashed non-human craft recovered in Italy in 1933.

Of note, Rubio visited the Vatican and met Pope Leo XIV earlier this month.

The Vatican link has also been alleged publicly by former intelligence official and UFO whistleblower David Grusch.

Speaking to NewsNation, Grusch claimed the first European recovery of a non-human craft occurred in Magenta, Italy, in 1933, where authorities recovered a “partially intact vehicle”.

He said the object was held at a secure Italian airbase until the final years of World War Two, before the Pope “back-channelled” knowledge of it to the Americans.

Asked whether the Catholic Church was aware of a non-human presence on Earth, Grusch replied: “Certainly.”

The Vatican has no settled public doctrine relating to extraterrestrial life at this moment.

But it has not ignored the question either. Since 2002, an Italian think tank has held UAP conferences at the Vatican on how the Church might respond to confirmation of non-human intelligence, while senior Vatican-linked astronomers have argued that alien life would not necessarily contradict Catholic faith.

But the shock would not be confined to faith communities or public trust.

Any Black Swan disclosure event or process would not stop with the public. It could hit the markets too.

A 2026 Deloitte paper treated UFO disclosure as a possible Black Swan event, warning that it could disrupt financial markets, public trust and social stability.

Helen McCaw, a former Bank of England economist who has written on the financial risks of disclosure, told Liberation Times that central banks should already be treating UFO disclosure as an emerging threat to global financial stability.

If Trump speaks, she said, the response would need to move quickly to the G20 and the Financial Stability Board, the global body currently chaired by Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey.

This is a blind spot for them, because they are already treating the emergence of AI as a potential risk to financial stability, so why are they ignoring UAP?

And central banks do respond to emergencies or crises that do not originate in financial markets, such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the coronavirus pandemic.

“If Trump does a disclosure speech, at a very minimum, the G7 central banks and finance ministries/treasury heads will need to be prepared with strong reassuring statements for global financial markets, and they may even need to take coordinated policy action to stem a financial crisis.

“Confirmation, or even widespread speculation, that advanced non-human technologies exist would be a shock to global financial markets. The human reaction would have immediate ramifications in these markets, whether due to speculation or new facts.

“UAP disclosure might even be the new “Minsky moment”, eponymously named after economist Hyman Minsky’s Financial Instability Hypothesis.

A “Minsky moment” might happen because current asset prices and risk premia and are formed on the implicit assumption that UAP either do not exist or are not advanced non-human technology.”

Others are less convinced that disclosure would crash the markets. Matthew Tuttle, chief executive and chief investment officer of Connecticut-based Tuttle Capital Management, is sceptical that the mere announcement of alien life would trigger a sell-off.

“I can’t put two and two together: aliens are real, I’m selling my stocks. Why?” he told Liberation Times.

For Tuttle, the bigger question is not whether investors panic. It is whether disclosure exposes a hidden technological gap.

“The technologies that are the most interesting to me are energy and propulsion, because I also think those are technologies that can be unclassified,” he stated.

He added: “We’ve got computers that can think, but we’re still using the same fuel source we’ve been using for, what, 150 years? It just doesn’t make any sense.”

US Military Hasn't Identified A Single Confirmed Mine In Strait Of Hormuz, Officials Tell NBC

Just a few hours after President Trump boasted that the US Navy had detonated "numerous" Iranian sea mines, NBC News reported that, even after three months of warfare, the US military has yet to confirm the presence of even a single mine in the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz.

Citing two US officials and a "person familiar with the matter," NBC said relentless searches of the waterway by aerial and undersea drones haven't found any confirmed mines, merely finding some objects that might be mines. “If anything, the threat has been far less robust than we had feared,” the person "familiar with the matter" told NBC.

Around the time Trump decided to join Israel in launching a war on Iran in the midst of ongoing negotiations in which Tehran had offered major concessions along the lines of what Trump is demanding today, US intelligence officials believed Iran had placed mines on the south side of the strait ahead of the shooting or shortly thereafter, said NBC. Allies had likewise reportedly concluded that Iran had deployed sea mines. The mine menace was said to be so formidable that, in April, a Pentagon official speaking to US legislators in a classified session said that fully clearing the strait of mines could take six months.

In a Friday morning social media post in which he foreshadowed a potential ceasefire agreement that would end restrictions on commerce through the Strait of Hormuz, Trump boasted that the US Navy had "removed, through detonation, numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers."

The NBC report seemingly contradicts multiple CBS News reports. Most recently, on May 19, the outlet reported that US intelligence had identified "at least 10 mines" in the strait. The potential presence of mines has weighed heavily on the minds of ship owners and more importantly shipping-insurance underwriters who've terminated existing coverage and offered new protection at prohibitively expensive rates. Of course, mines aren't the only weapon at Iran's disposal: drones and missiles can wreak havoc as well.

Last week, there were reports that the UK Royal Navy was making moves for a potential deployment of hundreds of sailors on a mine-sweeping mission in the strait. However, as we emphasized, AP reported that this potential deployment would only proceed if a peace agreement were reached, suggesting it's principally a gesture meant to placate Trump, who has pestered NATO allies to help remedy the massive, strait-centered economic disruption caused by the US-Israeli decision to launch a war on Iran over a nuclear weapon program that almost certainly does not exist.

In March, Trump ranted against nations that were anxious over the shutting of a waterway that transports about 20% of the world's petroleum, in addition to about a third of international fertilizer trade: "Go to the strait and just take it. You have to start learning how to fight for yourself. Go get your own oil." The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation, Vasily Osmakov, met with Afghanistan's Defense Minister, .

The deal was concluded during the International Security Forum held in Moscow this week.

According to the report by Interfax’s correspondent, Taliban Defense Minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob held talks with Secretary of Russia's Security Council Sergei Shoigu on the sidelines of the event.

During the meeting, Yaqoob said that engagement with Russia is important for the Taliban-led administration and that both sides have been expanding their bilateral relations.

He added that Afghanistan and Russia share historic ties and that Kabul aims to maintain and strengthen those relations.

Shoigu urged western countries to release Afghanistan’s frozen assets and take responsibility for the country’s reconstruction during the event.

“We are convinced that western countries must unfreeze frozen Afghan assets, fully acknowledge their full responsibility for their 20-year presence in Afghanistan, and assume the entire burden of post-conflict reconstruction of the country,” Shoigu said.

One day later, on 28 May, Russia’s Deputy Defense Minister Vasily Osmakov met with Yaqoob in Moscow to discuss regional security and potential bilateral military cooperation.

According to the ministry, the two sides addressed security issues in Central and South Asia, as well as the outlook for cooperation between their armed forces, including areas of military collaboration.

Leftist German Party Leader Forced To Correct Lies About AfD Leader, Pay Her Legal Fees

When "blatant falsehoods are being spread, one cannot let them stand unchallenged," says Weidel's spokesman

Alice Weidel, co-leader of the anti-migration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has successfully sued the Left Party leader and won a retraction after she spread falsehoods about Weidel on live television.

In mid-May, Ines Schwerdtner, the federal chairwoman of the Left Party, claimed during an interview on Welt TV that Wediel neither resides in Germany nor pays taxes.

“Alice Weidel doesn’t even live in Germany, she doesn’t pay taxes here,” she told viewers. This statement is false. While Weidel spends much of her time with her family in Switzerland, she has her primary residence in Germany and pays taxes in the Federal Republic of Germany. Weidel has been very guarded about the issue over the years, as she faces a high threat level and avoids appearing in public due to the security threat she lives under.

Weidel’s lawyers explained in a warning letter, cited by Junge Freiheit, that this claim was false, as their client both lived in Germany and paid taxes.

The law firm Höcker filed a lawsuit on the AfD’s behalf seeking an injunction. Weidel’s lawyers also demanded that Schwerdtner ensure the relevant passage was deleted from Welt TV’s programming. Furthermore, the lawsuit calls on the Left Party leader to acknowledge the “claim for damages.”

Following this, Schwerdtner’s lawyer sent a letter to the Höcker law firm stating that their client had “indeed made a mistake.” The Left Party leader additionally undertook to “refrain” from making the false statement that Weidel does not pay taxes in Germany.

The letter also pointed out that the interview in question on Welt TV had since been deleted by the broadcaster. Furthermore, Schwerdtner stated that she would transfer the legal fees “within one week.”

Weidel’s press spokesman, Daniel Tapp, told JF that in politics one “shouldn’t be too sensitive in principle.” However, when “blatant falsehoods are being spread, one cannot let them stand unchallenged.”

The AfD has been surging in the polls, with one survey last week showing it hitting a record 42 percent in Saxony, double the support of the second-place Christian Democrats (CDU).

The US will no longer “subsidize” the defense of “wealthy” allies, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has said, reviving a long-running dispute between Washington and NATO’s European members over military spending.

The remarks were made at a major security summit in Singapore on Friday.

Hegseth linked the Trump administration’s push for higher allied defense spending to its broader strategy of shifting resources toward the Indo-Pacific and countering what he described as Chinese “hegemony” in the region.

“The era of the United States subsidizing the defense of wealthy nations is over. We need partners, not protectorates. We seek alliances built on shared responsibility, not dependency,” Hegseth told the annual International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue, according to an official statement by the Department of War.

NATO members agreed in 2014 to spend at least 2% of GDP on defense, but many EU countries failed to reach the target for years. Former President Barack Obama said in a 2016 interview that “free riders aggravate me,” calling on members to spend more.

According to NATO’s official figures, all 32 members met the 2% benchmark for the first time in 2025. However, the US still accounted for 60-62% of the bloc’s total military spending last year.

During a question-and-answer session following his address in Singapore, Hegseth described 2% contributions as “freeloading.”

Last year, NATO members agreed to work toward spending 5% of GDP on defense and security by 2035, including a core defense target of 3.5%.

Several governments have questioned the goal. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called a 5% target “unreasonable” and “counterproductive.” Belgium and Slovakia have also raised concerns over the scale of the increase.

The dispute has expanded beyond military spending as some EU governments have resisted Washington’s requests related to the Iran conflict. Spain has opposed the military action against Iran and refused to allow US forces to use joint bases for offensive operations, while France and Germany have called for diplomacy.

Trump Endorses Against GOP Congresswoman Who Defied Him On Epstein Files

President Donald Trump announced his support in South Carolina’s upcoming gubernatorial election for the opponent of a GOP lawmaker who broke with him over the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The president wrote in a Friday post to Truth Social he is giving Republican South Carolina Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette his “Complete and Total Endorsement” in the crowded June 9 GOP primary for the state’s governorship, calling her “an America First Patriot who has been with me from the very beginning.” Evette is running against Republican South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace, a firebrand lawmaker who was one of an initial four Republicans to defy Trump in the summer of 2025 in signing on to a Democrat-backed discharge petition to force the House to vote on the release of the unredacted Epstein files.

Evette “never wavered, never let me down, and was the only South Carolina Gubernatorial Candidate to Endorse me as soon as I launched my 2024 Presidential Campaign,” Trump wrote in his endorsement post, which does not mention Mace or any of Evette’s other primary opponents, such as Republican South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson. “She crisscrossed South Carolina and other States for me, and I said, at the time, that this is truly something which I cannot forget!”

In addition to her support of the Epstein discharge petition, Mace has spearheaded other efforts to bring Epstein’s sex crimes against children to the public light. In March, she led a House Oversight Committee effort to call then-Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify in front of Congress about her department’s release of the files.

“I have enormous respect for President Trump and everything he has done for our country and for South Carolina. That respect is genuine and it is unchanged,” Mace said in a statement following Trump’s endorsement of Evette.

“I also know I put the likelihood of an endorsement on the line when I demanded transparency on the Epstein files,” Mace continued. “I demanded it because you deserved the truth – ALL OF IT – and as a survivor, I had to get justice for these women. If this is the price of an endorsement, I will never pay it.”

Mace’s gubernatorial campaign referred the Daily Caller News Foundation to her statement when asked for comment.

In backing a challenger to Mace’s bid for higher office, the president has now either endorsed against or threatened to endorse against all four of the breakaway group of GOP lawmakers who signed onto the petition.

Trump successfully ousted the co-leader of the effort, Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, in a May 19 primary which was the most expensive House nomination contest in U.S. history. Former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein, who Trump endorsed before he entered the race, defeated Massie by a wider-than-expected margin of just under 10 points. In addition to the release of the files, the president and Massie had sparred over issues including the Iran war and the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act.

Former Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who had also signed onto the petition, announced she was resigning from Congress in November 2025, one week after Trump withdrew his support of her and vowed to back a potential primary challenger. Trump in mid-May also threatened to back a primary challenger to Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert — another signatory of the Massie-led petition — after she campaigned for the Kentucky congressman against Gallrein.

In a November 2025 reversal of his previous stance vehemently opposing the petition, Trump called on House Republicans to release the Epstein files, quipping, “[W]e have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax.” Days later, he signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act ordering the documents’ release, after it had passed Congress by a near-unanimous margin.

Hours before Trump issued his endorsement, Mace sent out an X post stating, “Pamela Evette is NOT ENDORSED by DONALD TRUMP. Do not believe her LIES.” The post remains live as of late Saturday morning.

U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams launched the inquiry Friday, after closing the lawsuit on her docket last week.The Miami-based Obama appointee cited a request by 35 former federal judges who urged her to reopenthe case to determine whether Trump’s effort amounted to “serious misconduct” and an abuse of the court system.

It’s the latest wrinkle in a developing scandal that has drawn bipartisan outrage on Capitol Hill, multiple lawsuits aimed at blocking the “anti-weaponization” fund and demands for further investigation by government watchdogs and courts.

=Earlier this year, Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS over the leak of his tax returns by a private contractor in 2019 and 2020. The lawsuit immediately triggered questions about conflicts of interest: How could the Justice Department and IRS now controlled by Trump appointees defend against a lawsuit brought by their boss?==

But before the lawsuit advanced, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche revealed that a settlementhad been reached. Instead of a payout to Trump, the settlement would result in the establishment of the nearly $1.8 billion fund to make payouts to people described in the settlement as victims of government weaponization.

The announcement generated particular excitement among hundreds of people Trump pardoned for their roles in storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, with many announcing their intention to pursue payouts. Police officers who defended the Capitol and former Justice Department prosecutors who pursued Jan. 6 defendants sued to block the fund altogether,with another judge earlier Friday ordering a two-week pause on its establishment.

A spokesperson for Trump’s legal team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In her four-page order Friday, Williams indicated thatshe’s considering reopening the case. She also noted the former judges’ suggestion that Trump’s attorneys knew from the start that their lawsuit had no merit and filed it solely to justifya purported settlement that the administration wanted to announce.

The judge added that a federal court rule requires attorneys to ensure thatcourt filings are “not presented for any improper purpose.”

“A party’s decision to file a frivolous lawsuit for the sole purpose of forcing a settlementmay qualifyas such an improper purpose,” Williams said.

The judge also noted that the former judges argued thatTrump’s suit appeared “clearly untimely” because it was filed well after the expiration of a two-year statute of limitationson claims of unlawful disclosure of tax information.

Although the settlement appears to have been hashed out between Trump’s private attorneys and lawyers at the Justice Department and IRS, Williams’ order Friday is directed at Trump, his sons and his company, and does not request any response from the government. She noted in her order that the government never submitted any filings in response to the lawsuit.

The judge noted, however, that the settlementappeared to run afoul of DOJ policiesthat require any settlements to be “specifically limited to the immediate subject matter of the claim.” Williams also pointed out that a settlement addendum that waives all tax claims the U.S. may currently have against Trump, his two eldest sons, and his businesses and trusts was signed only by Blanche.

U.S. Attacked Another Ship Attempting To Reach Iran

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on May 30 that its forces in the Gulf of Oman enforced “blockade measures” by disabling a Gambia-flagged maritime vessel attempting to sail toward an Iranian port a day earlier.

In a statement, the command said that its forces observed the vessel, Lian Star, transiting international waters toward an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman and issued more than 20 warnings while informing the vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade.

A U.S. aircraft disabled the vessel by firing a Hellfire missile into the ship’s engine room after Lian Star’s crew failed to comply, the command added, noting that the ship is no longer transiting to Iran.

According to CENTCOM, U.S. forces have disabled five commercial vessels and redirected 116 to fully enforce the blockade as a ceasefire with Iran remains in effect.

U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the blockade on Iranian ports on April 12, four days after the ceasefire went into effect, in response to the Islamic Republic’s restriction on maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz — a checkpoint for around 20 percent of global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.

Iran has warned more than once in recent weeks that it would respond to such attacks by the U.S., and had hit back not just by attacking ships it deemed in violation of its measures in the waterway, but also by targeting U.S. warships. The Islamic Republic even renewed strikes on bases hosting U.S. forces in neighboring Gulf states.

In fact, the U.S. attack on Lian Star came just two days after an Iranian missile strike on Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, which hosts the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing of the U.S. Air Force. Five American contractors and active duty personnel were wounded, and two combat drones were hit, with at least one completely destroyed.

The escalation came as the Trump administration is reportedly weighing a possible agreement to extend the fragile ceasefire with Iran.

Trump held a roughly two-hour Situation Room meeting a day earlier but left without announcing a decision, despite hitting earlier that he was going to lift the blockade of Iranian ports.

Congress quietly moves to integrate US and Israeli militaries

In the first step towards shifting aid further into the shadows, the House’s 2027 NDAA would all but fuse the two countries’ armed forces together

At a time when the American public is expressing unprecedented levels of distrust in the Israeli government, Congress just proposed tying the U.S. to the Israeli military more than ever before.

Buried in the House’s version of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) released on Tuesday, is section 224, entitled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” The provision would arguably do more to intertwine the U.S. military with the Israeli military than the more than $200 billion (inflation adjusted) in military assistance Israel has received from the U.S. since its founding in 1948.

Section 224 lays the groundwork for bilateral research and development, co-production of weapons, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and seemingly every manner of U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex cooperation. The U.S. and Israel already work together heavily on missile defense, but this provision would greatly expand coordination to seemingly every area of defense tech, including AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and many more. It also proposes “network integration” and “data fusion.” In other words, the U.S. military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.

If fully enacted, this proposal would provide a higher level of military-industrial integration than the U.S. has with any other country in the world. To be sure, the U.S. has worked closely with its NATO partners on co-production and shared supply chains, most notably via the Defence Production Action Plan. And, as the number one arms dealer in the world, the U.S. provides weapons to militaries across the globe. But that is mostly a one-way street, with the U.S. providing weapons to foreign buyers who only occasionally make parts for those weapons themselves, as in the case of the F-35’s global supply chain.

Section 224 would be a different beast entirely. It would fuse the U.S. and Israeli defense sectors in multiple areas vital to the battlefields of the future, like autonomous systems and cyber. It would also bring extraordinary Israeli influence to the U.S. beyond what it already has through the Israel lobby and its robust network of social media influencers. It would give the Israeli government the opportunity to greatly expand one of the most powerful levers of influence in U.S. politics: jobs in the U.S. By expanding or starting new co-production facilities like it already has in Mississippi and Arkansas, the Israeli government could boast of providing jobs on U.S. soil, thereby securing allies among members of Congress who represent the districts where those jobs lie.

The result could well be a U.S. political system even more susceptible to the whims of an Israeli government that seemingly has no qualms about drawing the U.S. into military conflicts in the Middle East.

Cristobal Liobardo Vasquez-Sanchez, 25, a Salvadoran national,racked up 14 criminal charges this year alone before his May 22 arrest on charges of sexual battery and object sexual penetration by force. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said it hadpreviously issued a detainer for Vasquez-Sanchez, but that request was denied.

At the direction of Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger, Virginia ended state agency cooperation with ICE andhas demanded judicial warrants where immigration experts say such warrants are wholly irrelevant.

Just days before Vasquez-Sanchez's alleged sexual assault,Spanberger issued an executive order adding further roadblocks for federal immigration officers to operate in the state.

Local reports say thatVasquez-Sanchez came across his victim in a parking garage stairwellin Arlington, where the alleged assault occurred. The victim was able to run away and find help, and the suspect fled but was later captured.

In January, Vasquez-Sanchez was arrested and booked on a violation of pretrial release conditions while he was out on bondstemming from another crime. The following month, he was charged with larceny.

On April 15, he was arrested and charged with public intoxication, assault and battery and assault on a law enforcement officer.Five days later, he was again arrested on a violation of pretrial releaseconditions.

Between April 26 and May 19, he was charged with public intoxication four times. Stemming from the May 19 incident, he was also charged with disorderly conduct and fleeing from law enforcement.

On Dec. 31, 2025, he was charged with larceny, and on July 19, 2026, he was charged with assault and battery, destruction of property with intent and public intoxication.

Despite the litany of charges, Vasquez-Sanchez was never detained pretrial, and instead released back onto the street each time.

ICE has now lodged another detainer against the suspect.

"GovernorSpanberger’s decision to end cooperation with ICE in Virginia has allowed criminals to be released back into American communities. When politicians bar local law enforcement from working with DHS, our law enforcement officers need to have a more visible presence so that we can find and apprehend the criminals let out of jails and back into communities," Acting Assistant DHS Secretary Lauren Bis told Fox News Digital.

"While Governor Spanberger continues to allow the release of pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and murderers onto Virginia’s streets, DHS law enforcement will continue to risk their lives to arrest these heinous criminals."

ButSpanberger's office says the state does support deporting violent criminals.

"Governor Spanberger has repeatedly made clear that violent criminals who are in the United States illegally should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and deported. The largest real-world human study to date evaluating ivermectin and mebendazole in cancer patients is now peer-reviewed and published in Anticancer Research—a major international oncology journal of the International Institute of Anticancer Research (IIAR), established in 1995.

Our study, “Real-world Clinical Outcomes of Ivermectin and Mebendazole in Cancer Patients: Results from a Prospective Observational Cohort,” represents one of the most compelling clinical signals ever documented for repurposed anti-parasitic therapies in oncology.

Background/Aim: Drug repurposing offers a pathway to identify accessible, low-toxicity cancer therapies. Ivermectin and mebendazole demonstrate multi-target anticancer activity in preclinical models. This study evaluates real-world patient-reported outcomes, safety, and adherence in patients with cancer using this combination.

Patients and Methods: We analyzed a prospective observational cohort of 197 patients with cancer prescribed ivermectin and mebendazole off-label via a U.S. telemedicine platform. Participants received compounded capsules (25 mg ivermectin, 250 mg mebendazole). Data were collected through standardized digital surveys at baseline and 6-month follow-up. A total of 122 participants (61.9%) completed follow-up. Primary outcomes included self-reported cancer status, adherence, and adverse events. Confidence intervals were calculated using the Wilson method, with dose-stratified analyses using Chi-square tests.

Results: The cohort had a mean age of 67 years with balanced sex distribution and diverse malignancies, most commonly prostate (27.9%) and breast (18.3%). Median time since diagnosis was 1.2 years, with 37.1% reporting active progression at baseline. At six months, adherence was high, with 86.9% completing the initial prescription and 66.4% remaining on therapy. The Clinical Benefit Ratio (CBR) was 84.4% (95% confidence interval=77.0-89.8%). At follow-up, 48.4% of participants reported tumor regression or no evidence of disease (32.8% NED; 15.6% regression), while 36.1% reported stable disease and 15.6% reported progression. Side effects, reported by 25.4%, were dose-dependent and predominantly mild and primarily gastrointestinal, with 93.6% continuing therapy after adjustment. Concurrent therapies reported included chemotherapy (27.9%), radiation (21.3%), surgery (19.7%), supplements (49.2%), and dietary modification (37.7%).

Conclusion: In this prospective real-world cohort of patients with cancer, ivermectin and mebendazole were associated with high rates of self-reported clinical benefit and favorable tolerability. These findings are hypothesis-generating and support the need for randomized controlled trials.

Days after Graham Platner announced his Maine Senate bid, his wife informed the campaign about a potential political problem she had previously discovered on the oyster farmer’s phone: sexually explicit texts with several women, according to people familiar with the matter.

Amy Gertner, who married Platner in 2024, told the campaign about messages she had found early in their marriage in the spring of 2025. In late August, as some aides were conducting opposition research on their own candidate, Gertner disclosed the texts to a campaign aide to make sure they didn’t pose a risk to her husband’s nascent campaign, those people said. The campaign had been preparing for a major rally over Labor Day weekend last year with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who was set to officially endorse Platner at the event.
