Trump was supposedly signing the proclamation opening up Pacific marine national monuments to commercial fishing.

 

But several things stood out to me:

 

His head/neck area looks off — I can’t see his neck inside the shirt collar, which is a tell I have noticed in possible AI/composite images.

 

He is talking about fake signatures, Biden, and the autopen — while the signature shown in this “signing” does not appear to match Trump’s normal signature.

Live webcam images from the top of the Washington Monument show the numbers appearing as dead grass along a large portion of the Mall, east of the World War II Memorial. A 14-year-old girl has been charged in connection with an attack at a school in North Manchester on Tuesday 9 June 2026.

 

Following authorisation from the Crown Prosecution Service, the girl was charged this evening (Thursday 11 June) with:

 

Three charges of attempted murder

Two charges of possessing a bladed article on school premises

 

She will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday 12 June).

The Department of Justice declared this week that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s “disparate impact” policies are unconstitutional, tossing aside a rule, long criticized by conservatives, that saw racial discrimination whenever a policy resulted in outcomes that differed among people of different races — regardless of whether the policy had anything to do with race.

 

In a 25-page opinion from the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel on Tuesday, the DOJ found that the EEOC’s policies, which made employers susceptible to Feedback

Title VII racial discrimination lawsuits if hiring or promotion outcomes are different for different races, are unconstitutional. The opinion found that EEOC policies disregarded the intention behind employers’ hiring practices, instead pressuring them into engaging in “race-based decisionmaking,” in violation of the Constitution.

 

“Just as it is unconstitutional for the federal government to ‘force States to engage in the very race-based discrimination that the Constitution forbids,’ so too it is unconstitutional for the federal government to coerce employers to adopt employment policies or make employment decisions motivated by race,” the OLC opinion said. “Disparate impact liability does not just raise constitutional doubt in occasional cases; unless narrowly circumscribed, it structurally compels the very racial discrimination that the Constitution forbids.”

An AI-generated cartoon making fun of Congresswoman Becca Balint is making the rounds online. In the video, an artificial version of Rep. Becca Balint (D-Vermont) says things she never actually said, while Republican candidate Mark Coester is portrayed as the hero who literally scoops her up with a backhoe and dumps her in a dumpster.

 

Balint is furious. She calls it deceptive and dangerous and says it proves the need for federal legislation to prevent unauthorized AI replicas of people’s voices and images.

Online commentators and news outlets including Vermont Public and the Keene Sentinel have written about Poitras’ history of controversial and misogynistic online commentary. (He offered Vermont Public a “blanket apology” but claimed his remarks had been taken out of context.”)

 

The video depicts Balint making arrogant statements.

 

“Straws are banned, and if those farmers don’t like it, they can leave,” the AI likeness of Balint says while standing in front of the Vermont Statehouse. “Vermont is my state. I decide what’s going to happen. Your tax money is spent and there is nothing anyone can do to stop me.”

 

A likeness of Coester, a logger from Westminster, then says he will stop Balint because “Vermont is for Americans” not “radical communists.” The video shows Coester telling Balint to “Go Back to New Jersey” and wagging a finger at her on the Statehouse steps as he describes how he’s going cut taxes to lower the cost of living.

 

He climbs into a backhoe, scoops up a screaming Balint and drops her into a dumpster.

 

The video was posted on Sunday and had 841 views as of Tuesday afternoon. Balint, who is running unopposed in the August 11 Democratic primary, is seeking a third term as the state’s sole member in the U.S. House of Representatives. Coester is vying against Gerald Malloy in a primary to become the GOP nominee.

 

Balint denounced the video.

 

“This ad is offensive and a dangerous example of what happens when AI is used to deceive voters,” Balint wrote in a statement. “Fabricating my voice and image to put words in my mouth is a new low. Free speech is a cornerstone of our democracy, but impersonation and deception are not.”

 

She added that the video was an example of why she introduced the federal NO FAKES Act. The goal of the bill is to “give people protections against unauthorized AI replicas of their voice and likeness and bring greater transparency and accountability to AI-generated content.”

 

Coester said he didn’t make the video but shared it on social media as soon as he saw it.

 

“I think he did a great job. Hilarious!” Coester told Seven Days on Tuesday.

 

Poitras could not immediately be reached.

 

Coester said he knew who “Planet Hank” was but declined to share any information about him. Pressed on this point, Coester referred to a Seven Days reporter as a “libtard fuck.”

 

The Vermont legislature passed a bill this past session requiring that political ads run within 90 days of an election must disclose if they were “created or intentionally manipulated with the use of digital technology, including artificial intelligence.”

 

The law includes exemptions for “deceptive and fraudulent synthetic media constituting satire or parody.” Gov. Phil Scott signed it into law on March 5, and it went into effect at that time.

 

The video is not a political ad, Coester said, and therefore isn’t covered by the “synthetic media” law, he said.

 

He also said he felt the Vermont law did not apply to him because he’s a candidate for federal, not state office. Even if the law did apply to him, he said, he isn’t in a primary against Balint and is therefore outside the 90-day time period requiring ads that use AI to be disclosed.

 

“It’s not a deepfake. It’s not trying to portray anybody saying something they didn’t. It’s obviously satire,” Coester said.

 

Rep. Matt Birong (D-Vergennes) disagrees. His committee passed S.23 this session. He called the video “bonkers.”

 

“This is definitely the type of irresponsible/half assed content that the legislation was intended to address,” Birong said.

 

The Vermont Attorney General is responsible for enforcing the law. A spokesperson for Attorney General Charity Clark declined to comment.

 

Coester didn’t seem concerned.

 

“These commie fucks in Vermont pass whatever garbage fuckin’ laws they want to,” he said. “They can do what and they can kiss my ass because I didn’t create the video and I didn’t pay for it.”

Karen Read, the Massachusetts woman who was acquitted in the case of her boyfriend’s death this year, filed a lawsuit alleging that she was framed for the murder in a cover-up plot to keep authorities from finding out how her boyfriend truly died.

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte: This Northern Border State Still Has a ‘Southern Border Problem’

 

Montana did not let rogue Democrat-led cities circumvent the state’s law outlawing sanctuary cities, and even though it is a northern border state, it still has a “southern border problem,” Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte (R) said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.

 

Gianforte, who is the leader of the Republican Governors Association, walked through what he did in his state on the issue of illegal immigration, offering an example for other red states facing similar opposition.

 

“I signed a law that said no sanctuary cities, and we had a couple of rogue communities that didn’t want to follow the law,” he said.

 

Instead of letting it go, the governor “went shoulder to shoulder with our Attorney General and said you might want to reconsider this, because you need to work with law enforcement.”

 

“And fortunately, it was our capital city of Helena, which happens to be a blue city. They had passed a resolution saying we’re not going to work with ICE,” he said, explaining that his office sent them a “kind letter” warning that they were violating the law. With that, the blue city ultimately rescinded the resolution.

 

“So, we work with our federal law enforcement partners, and although Montana’s a northern border state, we’ve seen the effect of the Biden open border policy with drugs flooding into our communities,” the governor said, revealing that authorities in his state have arrested “cartel members on our Indian reservations and in Bozeman, Montana.”

 

Even though they are on the northern border, Montana still has a “southern border problem,” Gianforte said.

 

“Our drugs that we’re seeing — whether it’s fentanyl or cocaine — it’s coming from Mexico,” he revealed. “We got rid of the Montana meth, now we have Mexican meth, and it’s gotten better, but we need to continue to work to get these criminals off the street,” he said, explaining that northern border security is not much of a problem compared to the continuing impacts of the southern border.

 

“Montana has the largest border with Canada of any state, and but there aren’t that many crossings, and it’s pretty rural. I won’t say there’s no issues, but most of the drugs we’re seeing coming into Montana are coming up I-15 from Mexico,” he added.

A Stawell Gift finalist has tragically died while on an overseas trip of a lifetime in Thailand.

 

Former junior athletics champion Jemma Stapleton, who finished third at the 2025 Stawell Gift, died while on a family holiday.

 

A GoFundMe post on behalf of the family asking for donations to help bring her body home had raised more than $84,000 on Friday.

 

It is understood the beloved childcare worker had been overseas with her family celebrating her birthday, which was on June 1.

 

'It is with great sadness that our beautiful friends the Stapleton family are facing immeasurable grief while on a family holiday with the passing of their beautiful daughter, sister and partner Jemma,' the fundraiser stated.

 

Her death has sparked an outpouring of emotion from within the athletics world and wider community.

 

'It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Jemma Stapleton,' the Victorian Athletic League posted to social media.

 

'Jemma, was a valued member of our community whose presence, character and contribution left a lasting impact on those around her.'

 

It remains publicly unclear how Stapleton died while enjoying the family trip abroad.

 

Her partner and family members paid tribute to her as they mourned her loss.

 

'I can’t put into words the hurt I am feeling. You are the single greatest thing to happen to me and I am so grateful for the love we shared,' Stapleton’s partner Tyler posted.

 

'Rest in peace, I love you so much. I promise I’ll make you proud. You were the best sister and my best friend. I’ll forever miss you. Rest easy,' her brother Joel wrote.

 

Athletics Australia remembered Stapleton for her performance on and off the track.

 

'Jemma was a beautiful, bright and warm personality who was always smiling. Her presence lifted every environment she stepped into, and it was a genuine pleasure to have known her,' it posted.

 

Former coach Mark Thomas described his heartache upon learning of his former student's death.

 

'I was shocked when told of the passing of Jemma tonight and couldn't really believe it,' he wrote.
