The 11-minute show featured Shakira, Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, and Burna Boy. According to Fox Sports the performance was “curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, featured a cameo from Brazil icons Ronaldo Nazário and Ronaldinhobefore conductor Gustavo Dudamel led musicians from the New York Philharmonic and the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.” The Muppets also made an appearance.

Speaker Mike Johnson said Tuesday he supports a more extensive ban on lawmakers having sexual relationships with any congressional aides — not just subordinates in a personal office or on a committee.

Johnson replied “yeah,” when asked at a news conference whether he’s on board with remarks made over the weekend by House GOP Conference Chair Lisa McClain of Michigan in support of establishing new rules barring members from having sex with any congressional staff.

It’s unclear what the path forward is for such a change, but it would require a revision to the House Code of Official Conduct — and an endorsement from two of the top lawmakers in the House is a promising sign there could be action.

The staff director for the House Ethics Committee did not respond to a request for comment.

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, the House in 2018 opted to formally ban members from having intimate relationships with their subordinates in personal offices or on the committees on which the lawmakers serve, with an exception for lawmakers who are married to staffers.

This latest push from McClain, and now the speaker, to expand the prohibition is partly a response to recent reporting on Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), outlining that Gallego had relationships with staffers who were not under his supervision.

There has also been a swell of misconduct allegations earlier this year, in which it was reported that former Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) sexually assaulted a staffer and that former Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) had a sexual relationship with a woman in his congressional office who later died by suicide. Both men were forced to resign amid the allegations.

California Forever and a broad coalition of labor, manufacturing, construction, housing, and business organizations say California lost Saronic’s planned $3.2 billion Port Alpha shipyard because the state could not move fast enough to meet the company’s permitting timeline.

The coalition issued the statement after Saronic announced it had selected Brownsville, Texas, as the site for Port Alpha, a next-generation shipyard expected to create up to 10,000 direct jobs as part of a planned investment exceeding $3 billion.

According to the coalition, California was one of two finalists among 17 states considered by Saronic, with Solano County offering what it described as the strongest West Coast location thanks to its deep-water access, skilled workforce, available land, and proximity to military installations, research institutions, and California State University Maritime Academy.

“The good news is: out of 17 states, California had easily the best site and was one of two finalists,” the statement said. “The bad news is: we were passed over because… our approval process cannot accommodate the required speed without special legislation, which was not passed in time.”

The coalition said it spent months working with state officials to develop legislation that would have streamlined permitting for large industrial projects while preserving local control and existing environmental protections. It argued the proposal would have reduced bureaucratic delays without weakening environmental safeguards or removing local governments’ authority to approve or reject projects.

“Our coalition’s warning about losing the opportunity to Texas has now become reality,” the statement said. “We hope this missed opportunity serves as a wake-up call that inaction and political gridlock have real costs for all Californians.”

California Forever has promoted the proposed 7,500-acre Solano Shipyard as the centerpiece of a larger maritime industrial campus. Under the proposal, California Forever would serve as the master developer, constructing core infrastructure including roads, utilities, power, fiber, and water systems while developing the adjacent Solano Foundry supplier park and Solano Living residential community. The company says the site is large enough to accommodate multiple shipyards supporting both commercial and naval shipbuilding, as well as ship repair, and that it remains in discussions with other domestic and allied shipbuilders interested in locating there.

Saronic, however, selected Brownsville following what it described as a year-long nationwide site search evaluating locations across the East, West, and Gulf coasts. The company said Texas was chosen after considering workforce availability, infrastructure readiness, land scale, logistics, and expansion potential.

The decision has also sparked disagreement over why California lost the project. State Senator Christopher Cabaldon has argued that California Forever undermined the effort by tying the shipyard proposal to its broader housing development, while California Forever maintains the decisive factor was the Legislature’s failure to approve expedited permitting legislation before Saronic made its site selection. Saronic’s announcement does not assign blame for California’s unsuccessful bid, instead focusing on the factors that led the company to choose Brownsville.

ESPN analyst Ryan Clark was informed of his firing while he was on the show NFL Live, and he did not return after receiving the news.

On Monday, The Athletic reported that Clark had been laid off as part of another round of layoffs at the company.Sources then told The Athletic that ESPN made the unusual move of telling Clark as he was in the middle of taping a show.

The report read:

Clark was on ESPN’s “NFL Live” on Monday. He was informed of the decision during the show, said the sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter. Clark did not finish the program.

Sources at ESPN said theunusual decision came down due to media inquiries about Clark’s departure and a fear that the news would leak before they could inform him. Sources told The Athletic that Clark’s job was possibly in jeopardy since after the Super Bowl in February.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is subordinate to missing “supreme leader” Mojtaba Khamenei, declared in remarks on Monday that his country is in a “full-scale war” with the United States following the disintegration of a “memorandum of understanding” towards peace.

Pezeshkian, according to Iranian state media, made the comments while visiting Iran’s Supreme Judicial Council, one of the most powerful courts in the country. His declaration of war against the United States, which he couched as being part of a multi-front effort including economic sanctions and diplomacy, arrives as the Iranian Foreign Ministry insists that it is discussing a future peace deal with unspecified “mediators,” while U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported another round of strikes against Iranian military assets on Monday night.

Iran and the United States have been in a state of informal war since February when President Donald Trump launched Operation Epic Fury and eliminated the country’s longtime dictator, “supreme leader” Ali Khamenei. Trump announced a ceasefire in April that yielded the drafting and signing of a “memorandum of understanding” in June, which prescribed a 60-day negotiation period to establish a sturdier peace deal. Instead, the Iranian regime organized funeral events for the elder Khamenei to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4 in which angry mobs demanded Trump’s killing, then it began to engage in military assaults against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The disruptions resulted in the return of American military activity to neutralize Iran’s ability to target the ships and its neighbors, most prominently Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

According to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Pezeshkian used his time with the senior judiciary to declare that “Iran is engaged in a full-scale war that extends well beyond missile strikes.” He claimed, however, that “the economy and public livelihood [is] the most important battlefront,” not the military engagements.

“He said the country’s enemies have concluded that military attacks alone cannot force Iran into submission and are now targeting the economy and daily life instead,” Pezeshkian claimed. “Pezeshkian warned that if economic pressure fuels public discontent, it could erode the social support his government has built among Iranians.”

While not directly referencing them, Pezeshkian appeared to be referring to the widespread protests in the country shortly before Operation Epic Fury. Iranians began taking the streets in large numbers in late December in response to the collapse of the value of the rial and severely poor quality of life, in addition to longstanding political and religious repression. The regime responded by shutting down the internet and engaging in extensive brutality against its own citizens. By late January, dissident groups were estimating that the regime had killed as many as 30,000 people for being implicated in pro-democracy protests.

Apparently to prevent a similar situation, Pezeshkian on Tuesday “called for unity, collective decision-making, and coordination across all branches of government to manage the crisis,” admitting that the economic situation in the country remained critical. The president demanded that his administration work to improve “poverty, unemployment, and livelihood problems.” IRNA added that he also appeared to absolve himself, as president, of some responsibility, having “stressed that Iran’s system of governance needs a final decision-making authority, saying that role belongs to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”

The “leader of the Islamic Revolution” currently is “supreme leader” Mojtaba Khamenei, who has made no public appearances, nor has he issued any video or audio messages, since being chosen to succeed his father in March. He conspicuously failed to appear for his father’s funeral, even as three other Khamenei sons did, releasing only a written statement vowing revenge against Trump and the United States.

While Pezeshkian acknowledged the alleged “full-scale war,” leaders in the terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced an escalation of attacks in the Persian Gulf. Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, commander of the IRGC’s ground forces, reportedly engaged in an inspection of coastal activities on Tuesday in which he announced that “forces are continuously reorganizing and strengthening their defensive capabilities to neutralize any threat, stressing that the Iranian people and armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression.” Like all other Iranian regime commanders, he also used the opportunity to threaten revenge against the United States for the elimination of the elder Khamenei.

The IRGC commander and other leaders in the organization similarly declared their intention of waging vengeance on Tuesday and also claimed they fully controlled the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime commercial route that Iran has been disrupting for months.

The aggressive tenor of Pezeshkian’s comments and the IRGC contrast to the messages out of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, which claimed this week to be engaging unnamed “mediators” seeking yet another peace deal. IRNA reported on Tuesday that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had held conversations with his ambassadors in Italy, France, and the United Kingdom seeking to streamline Iran’s talking points to incorporate Iranian allies in negotiations with the United States.

“Emphasizing the necessity of leveraging all diplomatic capacities to safeguard national interests, Araghchi underscored the importance of continuing active consultations,” the state media outlet claimed, “articulating the principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and responsibly pursuing bilateral and multilateral issues with European countries.”

Iran, OPEC's second-largest producer, has completely stopped conducting oil transactions in U.S. dollars, a top Oil Ministry official said Wednesday, a concerted attempt to reduce reliance on Washington at a time of tension over Tehran's nuclear program and suspected involvement in Iraq.

Iran has dramatically reduced dependence on the dollar over the past year in the face of increasing U.S. pressure on its financial system and the fall in the value of the American currency.

Oil is priced in U.S. dollars on the world market, and the currency's depreciation has concerned producers because it has contributed to rising crude prices and eroded the value of their dollar reserves.

1) The rescue: This is enormously important. FAA radar tracked Kennedy’s plane crash. The U.S. Coast Guard has reported that Kennedy contacted the tower on his final approach. THIS IS ENORMOUSLY IMPORTANT!!! It means they would have known his plane was going down before it hit the water. FAA regulations require that a search begin immediately when a plane reports itself on final approach and does not land within 5 minutes. Yet it took them 14½ hours to send the first planes and boats to Martha’s Vineyard. (Boston Herald, 7/20/99 “Time gaps in early hours of search are beyond explanation” Jack Sullivan and David Talbot) (LINK5) WHY?

2) The plane: Kennedy’s plane had autopilot, capable of flying itself to within 100 feet of the airport.

All a “cautious and methodical” pilot had to do was sit back and let the plane fly itself. (NTSB report, page 18)

3) The sabotage: Kennedy’s plane had a black box. No other private non-jet plane on earth had one. He knew they wanted to kill him and he wanted to make it hard. The NTSB, says the battery had been removed, destroying all record of conversation in the cockpit. (NTSB page 10)

All planes have an Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT), which sends out a beacon signal in case of a crash. It took 5 days to locate Kennedy’s plane. Why? Was it missing? Disabled? The report says nothing.

According to the NTSB report, the fuel valve had been turned to OFF (NTSB report, page 12). This valve had a safety device on it so that it could not accidentally be turned to OFF. Turning it off during flight would be suicide, since at top speed, the engine will die in 45 seconds!! Because the results are potentially deadly, the valve cannot be turned by accident. A safety-release button must be pushed down and held while turning the valve. This piece of evidence is the smoking gun. It is positive proof of foul play. Was Kennedy committing suicide? If he wasn’t, there can scarcely be any question but that he was murdered. So who turned the valve?

A notorious fugitive on the FBI’s Most Wanted Fraudsters List for allegedly stealing more than half a billion dollars from Medicare was captured after an international manhunt.

Khalid Satary, 54, was cuffed in the Middle East on Monday after more than three years on the lam for allegedly orchestrating a scheme to defraud Medicare of over $547 million, the US Department of Justice announced on Tuesday.

Satary was indicted in 2019 in the Eastern District of Louisiana for allegedly billing Medicare for expensive and unnecessary genetic tests between 2016 and 2019, according to prosecutors.

The fraudster conspired with dozens of patient recruiters, telemarketing call centers, and telemedicine companies to craft deceptive marketing campaigns, illegal kickbacks, and bribes to create cancer genetic test samples that were reimbursed for up to $20,000 a pop, authorities alleged.

Satary is accused of billing Medicare a whopping total of over $547 million and paying millions of dollars in illegal kickbacks and bribes to doctors and patient recruiters.

But Satary allegedly continued conspiring with Houston-based laboratories in Texas to submit the phony genetic testing claims to Medicare, the DOJ said.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Satary in 2022, but the quack failed to appear for a court hearing and allegedly fled the country.

He was found to have a fake Mexican passport with a phony name when regional partners busted him on Monday.

Satary was flown to the US and appeared in court in the Eastern District of Virginia on Tuesday.

Trump slaps 50% tariffs on Canada

The US president has invoked an obscure law never tested in court to impose the new duties

US President Donald Trump has slapped 50% tariffs on a broad range of Canadian imports, citing what he called Ottawa’s “unequal treatment” of American cars, dairy products, and alcohol.

Trump’s use of emergency powers to impose sweeping tariffs was partly struck down by the US Supreme Court earlier this year. He invoked Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 to impose the new duties. The tariffs will take effect in 30 days and apply even to goods covered by the US-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement (USMCA), the White House announced on Monday.

The move marks the latest escalation in a trade war that has intensified since Trump’s return to the White House. Washington has already imposed tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminum, automobiles, and other imports. Ottawa has responded with counter tariffs and other retaliatory measures.

The new duties target a range of consumer and industrial products, including wine, hockey sticks, and cement. Key Canadian exports such as energy, potash, fish, and critical minerals are exempt, according to a White House fact sheet.

Washington argues that Canada unfairly taxes certain US-made vehicles, maintains protectionist barriers on dairy imports, and continues provincial boycotts of American alcoholic beverages. The administration said those measures amount to “discriminatory treatment” of US products.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney condemned the move, accusing Washington of violating the USMCA while leaving the door open to negotiations.

“This is the latest in a series of unilateral US trade actions that began with the US imposing a series of tariffs in direct violation” of the trade agreement, Carney said in a statement on Monday. “We stand ready to intensify those discussions in the coming weeks.”

Ontario Premier Doug Ford urged Ottawa to respond in kind. “If these tariffs proceed, Canada should respond tariff for tariff, dollar for dollar,” he wrote on X.

Earlier this month, Trump threatened additional tariffs on Canada, claiming its poor forest management had blanketed parts of the US in wildfire smoke and that Canada should pay for its alleged “willful negligence.”

Announcing the new tariffs, the White House said Canada and China were the only countries to retaliate against the duties imposed last year. It also accused Ottawa of discriminating against US producers.

“Canada has taken US alcohol products off Canadian shelves,” US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said, adding that the new tariffs were intended to “hold Canada accountable for its retaliation and discrimination.”

Ottawa responded to Trump’s trade offensive in 2025 with 25% duties on about C$30 billion ($21.7 billion) worth of US goods. While Mark Carney later rolled some of those back, tariffs on American cars, steel, and aluminum remain in force.

The latest move is part of a sweeping tariff drive launched after Trump’s return to office in January 2025. He has imposed duties on imports from allies and rivals alike, targeting countries including China, Canada and Mexico, as well as steel, aluminum, and automobiles.

Cuban President Warns "McCarthyism Is Back" As US Begins Fight Against Marxist Subversion Networks

One day after the US government convened delegations from 65 countries at the Harry S Truman Building in Washington to coordinate action against far-left extremism and Marxist subversion networks across the West, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel responded sharply in a post on X, signaling grave concern that the Trump administration intends to unleash a new era of McCarthyism to combat the "radical left."

"A new and more dangerous version of McCarthyism is back in the United States," Díaz-Canel wrote on X one day after Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent postured and essentially declared war on the radical left, Marxist groups, and foreign subversion networks.

Well, as a State Department report released on Monday showed, "For more than six decades, the Cuban regime has been the leading sponsor of radical leftism and Third Worldism in the United States."

We explained in December how Cuba's subversion networks are run, and at the center of the influence network is the now-sanctioned Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples, known as ICAP. The organization claims more than 2,000 affiliated solidarity groups across 150 countries.

Former Cuban intelligence agents cited in the State Department report allege that roughly 90% of ICAP personnel are connected to Cuban intelligence operations. So this basically means ICAP functions as the intake valve for the National Network on Cuba (NNOC), a deliberately loose coalition that links 77 left-wing activist organizations, nonprofits, and campaigns while minimizing legal exposure and clear command structures.

"Safeguard Our Homeland": FCC Moves To Ban Foreign Military-Grade Drone Imports

A little more than a week after we exposed military-grade interceptor drones being openly marketed on Facebook as dual-use technology by a Hong Kong-based company, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr announced a proposal to prohibit the importation and sale of foreign-produced military-grade drones in the U.S.

"Today, the FCC took additional action to safeguard our homeland. We have proposed banning the sale of foreign, military-grade drones, including those capable of swarming," Carr wrote on X, adding, "Another step to strengthening and securing America's drone supply chain."

Carr published a public notice in which the FCC is seeking comments on a proposal to prohibit the continued importation and sale of previously authorized foreign-made military-grade drones and critical components to buyers outside the U.S. government, including systems with swarming capabilities.

The notice stated that these dual-use drones "pose an unacceptable risk to the national security of the United States or the security and safety of United States persons"…
