Lawfag is on to something here. I've been following a trend called First Amendment Audits. There are several citizen observers out recording cops and other public officials in the performance of their official duties and they are uncovering corruption all over. They are likewise fighting tyrant's and their trumped up charges along with constant civil rights abuse, but they fight back.

 

They use public records requests to expose the corruption, and they record themselves making the requests to expose the tyrants. Some of them are doing DIY 42 USC 1983, 1985 suits (against state actors), & Bivens claims (against federal actors). Others are working with some of the very fine lawyers who handle these things.

 

(Regarding legality…1st Amendment plus Smith v. City of Cummings -11th Circuit) is the prevailing case law)

 

For example, the public has uncovered major corruption is Olmos Park, TX and Leon Valley, TX. Both of these municipalities are pocket communities in the city of San Antonio. They are beating and jailing people and stealing their property. In one town, the Police Chief has had himself also appointed as the City Manager and has conspired to oust the mayor…all while stealing hundreds of thousands of dollar from the public with his self written employment contracts.

 

These citizen observers are good people who are tired of seeing the corruption and hypocrisy from the blue line mafia. They are not sovereign citizens; in fact they respect and love the law. It's the cops and judges who basically have sovereign immunity from prosecution, plus additional their privileges and liberties. We need cops, but we need good and accountable cops. It's funny how when you investigate yourself, you rarely find that you did anything wrong, isn't it?

In my admittedly narrow point of view, violating one's oath of office is the federal offense. We have an entire Federal legal system that does nothing (in comparison to muh War on Drugs) to detect and prosecute the oath of office crimes of public officials.

 

Our system is corrupted, and the solution can only come from "we the people". We have to work from the bottom up to hold our public officials accountable through every legal means necessary, starting with making a public record of their behavior and creating a papertrail.

 

Every time a cop unnecessarily detains you and take your ID, a report is generated that is likely forwarded to a Threat Fusion center. This data is collated and used to track activists, put citizens on the no-fly list, and to generate midnight SWAT raids on innocent civilians. I got a citizens arrest a while back.ON MY OWN PROPERTY by a trespasser. yeah, well…. Got a criminal charge of vandalism because I touched their stuff they put on my property. Thing was: I had a duty under state code to abate a nuisance, which is what it was. Seems the person who "arrested" me was a blue suit from another county. The judge that day, a retired old woman, SET A HEARING DATE for the demur. I quietly said, "Um, I think you're supposed to hear it immediately". But the DA and the Judge said "NO", it needs a hearing date. Well, next day I file a appellate writ for a statutory violation. Seems, an hour later the DA files a felony enhancement on my criminal charge. BUT, the appellate judge dismisses my case. YAY! Close call. But seriously folks. The county really did not want my in their jail. I would have a $1000 on my card, buying all sorts of things for the other inmates. Plus, I'd be helping them with their cases. Naw. Best to leave people like me alone.
