There are a lot of Horatio Algers on this board. When a youngfag I drowned. Music, the whole trip. Later I went under river ice to rescue a kid I knew. Not really a friend, but he lived on my street and I'd seen him fall through a slush hole. I found him easily enough, snagged on a tree branch and unconscious. But the clouds had moved over while I was retrieving him and I couldn't find the slush hole again. Things were getting desperate and I was about to take that breath of water again when there was a break in the clouds and the light hit the slush hole. AND ONLY THE SLUSH HOLE. I got him through it, got my head alongside his ass and took a truly sweet breath of the night air.

Sometime later, in trying to analyze why I had been willing to attempt that rescue alone after our companions had run away, I realized that drowning had changed me … I had become very hard to scare. I had tasted death … and it was sweet. When a man has tasted death and knows what lays beyond this life, he's hard to scare. Not impossible … but you've got to threaten me with something worse than death.

Probably a lot of others have had a turning point experience in their lives (I was raised in a messed up household, too.) and that, coupled with a more than generous IQ, is why we find ourselves gathered here. I was invited twice that I know of. Others were invited, too. The first group of us all seemed to have been given personal invites and that's why I keep slogging.

I want to know what it was about me that drew that attention and resulted in the invitation to come here, learn, work.

TL,DR;

I've tried to be brief. I think all of we Anons were "hand selected" and are each in some way exceptional. The gathering continues, we aren't the only ones, but in the meantime we are being trained to accomplish a "great work".

Q, If I committed a crime, not a fraction of what these people have done, I would be immediately put in jail and denied bail while the justice system progressed. Why are these people allowed to evade prison for years while the process unfolds?

A new study from scientists in the United States suggests that a significant majority of the population may already have some level of immunity to the coronavirus, a possible explanation for why so many individuals seem to experience few to no symptoms from the disease.

The study, written by researchers in California, New York and North Carolina and soon to be published in the journal Cell, discovered that certain types of cells in blood samples taken from donors in 2015-2018—well before COVID-19 arose—were reactive against the COVID-19 virus. In other words, those blood samples were at least partially immune from the coronavirus even though they had never been exposed to it.

"CD4+ T cell responses were detected in 40-60% of unexposed individuals. This may be reflective of some degree of crossreactive, preexisting immunity to SARS- CoV-2 in some, but not all, individuals," the researchers state in the paper.

The scientists are careful to qualify their conclusions. This is a CRAP study, but do not take my word for it, here are some facts about it.

First, this is a retrospective study. So far, all the retrospective had been deemed "dubious" or "anecdotal" when they showed positive results. But not for this one apparently, even though it is very badly done.

The study only includes patients that have been hospitalized. That means they were already in an advanced stage. But the proponents of therapies using HCQ+AZT say it is effective when patient are treated AS SOON AS they are tested positive, not when it's already too late. What is that paper showing then?

Where is the data concerning patients that did not need to be hospitalized, because they were treated early and saved? Not considered in that study. They only included patients that were in such an advanced states, that they needed to be hospitalized…

But also very importantly, the author themselves says that:

"Our study has several limitations. The association of decreased survival with hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine treatment regimens should be interpreted cautiously. Due to the observational study design, we cannot exclude the possibility of unmeasured confounding factors, although we have reassuringly noted consistency between the primary analysis and the propensity score matched analyses. The disciplinary committee went on to rule that despite the charges, Barkai did not pose a danger to children as he had not been accused of physical acts against minors. As a result, it ruled that the pediatrician’s license should only be stripped for two years, and by July 2013 Barkai got his license back….

However, senior officials in the Health Ministry have come to Barkai’s defense. In late 2018, a medical board voted unanimously to award Barkai a position as medical supervisor at the Health Ministry’s student health services department in the northern district. The Civil Service Commission subsequently interfered and blocked the appointment, stating in a 2019 hearing that “while the job at hand does not require clinical care for children, its core is oversight of student services and some of its assignments take place on school grounds and during the school day… Taking into account the nature of the offenses of which Dr. Barkai was convicted, [granting him this position] can greatly damage the image of the Civil Service Commission and the public’s confidence in its institutions.” "

Former Congressman Allen West was injured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 35 in the town of West on Saturday evening.
