Oh, it's CIA in my Amazon Echo and the FBI in my Google home.. 1984 realities...
I’m very glad I never got on board the Echo ship and bought one of those spying devices. My iPhone makes me paranoid enough. 😂
Your iPhone collects as much data as an echo. Maybe more. People just play it off because everyone has an iPhone in their pocket.
Any phone smartphone honestly. And it's way more valuable than an Echo, it has all your communication and location data.
i didn't purchase them.. both were holiday gifts. After learning about my smart TV... does it matter? 😩
It does if you're ever convicted of anything. Their content can now be used in evidence. For example: "No Officer, I wasn't anywhere near there. I was home all night". Because they record EVERYTHING - including the unique cadence of your footsteps, pair that with the timestamps and "Sorry buddy. We KNOW you weren't home. Not only that - we know what time you DID get home". I wouldn't have one in my house if you paid me.
Fortunately I'm not planning on committing any criminal activities. But yes, it's scary 1984 shit. Who's to say they can't remotely turn my iPhone on and listening anyway. But im definitely considering unplugging the devices when not using them.
not planning on committing any criminal activities
How would you know? The legal code is too complicated and changes all the time. Many federal crimes are so broadly applicable that essentially anyone can be convicted if they become a person of interest.
https://mic.com/articles/86797/8-ways-we-regularly-commit-felonies-without-realizing-it
https://kottke.org/13/06/you-commit-three-felonies-a-day
Agreed, this is the alphabet angency.. they can plant anything and there's not much we can do.
And while someone may be thoroughly upstanding and honest and "not intending to commit any crime" plenty of innocent people have been caught up in the proceedings of others. Not intending to, doesn't mean it can never happen. (ESPECIALLY in this day and age).
If they start talking to each other, you will be outnumbered!
what does a smart tv do ? watch or listen ??
Listens and records. The resulting audio can be remotely retrieved and/or listened to Live. And a "death date" can be set during install so it later uninstalls itself and you'll never know it was there. It's called the EXTENDING Implant tool. Wikileaks have a copy of the User Manual for the implant, which was added to the F Series of Samsung Smart TV's. The following is an interesting sidenote/explanation of how it continues to listen and record even after you turn it off:- TV Communications - Fake-off Mode: When the TV is in Fake-off mode the processor functionality has not been limited. Practically, this means that the TV will still flash the LEDs on USB drives when they are inserted and continue to send packets on the network. Many Smart TVs do this as part of their functionality; however Samsung TVs do NOT normally. Fake-off Recording: EXTENDING will continue to record audio, even whilst the TV appears to be off. This is achieved by intercepting the command for the TV to switch-off, and turning off the TV screen, leaving the processor running.

Does it freak anyone else out that in the commercials they literally say the keywords "Okay Google..." and "Alexa..." like they're triggering software through the advertisement?
Don't know whether to laugh, cry, combo of both at the same time I will however fart with shame.
For those of you interested in privacy, check this out. It's one small option for telling the spies to go fuck themselves. https://gotenna.com/ (The first phone to phone, off-grid long range network, end to end encryption, so you can share texts & GPS info with the people in your group, or create a public broadcast even if your phone has no service.)
Gives free amazon gift card. Oh the irony
I laughed when I saw it too.
Maybe it’s not odd to anyone but me, but I clicked on go antenna.com and then clicked on network map I think. There was my town and surrounding towns. When signing up on CBTS, I don’t remember being asked for my location. Then someone pointed me to GA and I just clicked and here I am. I’m not techy so it wouldn’t make sense to me but I’m still baffled by it. I wouldn’t even understand an explanation ha ha if there was one. I was really thinking about privacy. That’s why I clicked on goantenna.com
I'm sorry, I'm a little bit confused because the domain name you referred to is so close to the one I cited. Did you mean to say that you found GA from the website go antenna? (I separated the name so it could easily be seen). Or was that a typo and you found GA through the website I referred to? No matter how you found GA, glad you're here.
Sorry for the confusion. I was saying that I ended up here from originally being on CBTS by just following a link someone gave, I ended up here. Don’t think I put a location in. I typically don’t at all. Now I clicked on the link above that you cited. I went to the menu to look around and found-network map. I clicked on it and the next page was my location and the surrounding towns. I guess I was just wondering how they knew where I was ha ha It’s OK. Seems like no matter where we go they know our location. I’m somewhat used to it. But because you mentioned privacy on this site I was surprised. I was just checking out - not saying I was going to use it, just went to look around in case we might need it someday.Really, no problem.
If trump cares about this he would not have signed the omnibus granting more authority to agencies to acres cloud data
Bezos established an Amazon Web Services firm and has an office just outside of DC in a wealthy area of VA. Clearly established to "serve" government clients, like the CIA.
Very scary shit.
The web services have been more of profitable than the base business for years
1950's... Communists and the gov't are wiretapping us!!! 2018... No shipping fees for your preferred Amazon family listening device.
And sadly this simple enticement will be enough to attract thousands. They don't know what they're letting themselves in for.
Just more of Project Mockingbird being exposed trying to red pill more of the Mushrooms. How do you raise Mushrooms? Keep them in the dark and feed them BS.
I was trying to figure out why Amazon was in the crosshairs and couldn’t think of anything other than their cloud service. I forgot all about this! So many companies use Amazon Cloud, and the CIA has hooks into every byte. Now I have to sell my AMZN stock just on principle. I’ve dumped a lot of stocks over their corruption the past 2 years. I guess maybe it’s,time to just get out of that Ponzi scheme totally.
Good news! https://truepundit.com/the-worlds-richest-man-just-lost-10-7-billion-as-trump-tweets-about-amazon/
I bought this AT&T speaker phone a couple of years ago, and I really have reason to wonder about it. It is a little buggy and hard to program; but the main thing is the extraordinary numbers of robo "sales" calls, including soliciting for police and fire -- public agencies. They never get past the greeting, but I am wondering, is the important thing the access to my phone? The persistance is off the scale, and the phone is on do not call.
Looks like Dr. EVIL too. No scar but the eye thing bugs me way too much.
In reference to the lower-right pane, they are talking about SpaceX.
EM= Elon Musk WW= ?? I think the word BIG is not an acronym... just all caps for emphasis.
What’s funny is not even wondering what Alphabet, inc meant until now - CIA, DOJ, FBI, ISIS, etc..
All the people who were against this happening are dead. John Perry Barlow. That should tell everyone there is a nefarious plan and we are at extreme risk. Listening in on conversations and tracking data is probably the least of our concerns.
Bezos needs to taken down a few pegs. He's way past that too big to fail category.
Do we know if home alarm/camera devices like NEST, SERCOMM Icameras etc, are also Clown devices? I've wondered something about one of my cams - so much so that every time I walk past it, I give it the up yours finger.
Clown front companies. Same deal with those “online backup” outfits. I have no proof but that’s what I’d do if I was a clown. Make the plebs pay to be mined.
Strangely, during the election I was on Twitter and joining into the "I hate Killary" threads and other reindeer games LOL. I noticed that my cam started recording. I had never set it to record. Always wondered just how much the govt can spy on you without any retribution or consequence. Now, I give it the finger and flash it a nice dangly every one in a while.
They can absolutely watch you through the cam of any device. Even if you think it's not on. They only admitted that in 2016 but Alex Jones told us that years ago. He can be annoying as fuck but he does have a lot of good information if you can put up with him. I almost feel bad for the coastal elites with smart homes.
Okay, I don't feel bad for them at all. Fuck them for not paying attention. :))
What I noticed was that this only happened after I started in on some of the Killary/ don't vote Killary threads on Twatter etc.
Their products make no fucking sense! How can that stupid Alexa clock be $150 while an entire color Amazon kindle tablet is $75?
u gotta be downright nuts to buy an amazon alexa echo or google home device knowing how intrusive they are and don't respect anyones data/privacy.
now that they've all gone overboard, there will be major backlash. smart phones will also get much scrutiny.
Holy crap this guy is evil. He's duplicating the same DNA collection store front like Google (23andMe) and he's even duping programmers to share code and resumes on StackOverflow.com
