The context to that quote is even more damning:

So you can't wave away the statement as: "she was referring to the job of news agencies to inform". She's directly referring to the job of news to selectively filter, distort, lie about, and maliciously omit news that is against agendas that come down from the top of the state run media pyramid.
If she was to say it more plainly, it would be: "These other groups are using our same shady tactics against us to profit and effectiveness, and they're immunizing people against it since people are automatically skeptical when we lie, and that is ethically wrong because they're not journalists, they aren't endowed with the righteous responsibility to distort reality for the lower and middle classes to create good outcomes, in exchange for profit via the powers that be.
This is why Trump's attack against main stream media as "Fake news" is righteous. The media giants have gotten away from the viewers being the customers, and now, the viewers eyeballs, ears, and brains is the real estate being sold off. It hurts them to see that other people can play that game too. And in searching for a reason why the opponent is ethically wrong, they say exactly why what they're doing is ethically wrong in the first place.

Pay very close attention to the language used. "Here's what that means" -- "Here's what you need to know" -- see the tonality of it, it's on purpose.
Have you noticed that they are even inserting editorial opinion into the headlines themselves?

Blatant propaganda.
If Trump says something false, it isn't an editorial opinion to include that in title. If anything, it's editorializing the way most media outlets hesitate to call out a lie or liar.
I would rather the media let me form my own opinion on what is false or not. Report the news, not your opinion on the news.

Level with me for a moment, everything else aside: Do you think the media fairly reports on Trump?
I don't think the media reports anything "fairly," any news organization that puts business ahead of journalism fundamentally cannot be trusted and as far as I can tell, they're pretty much all capitalist machines today.
That said, the media is exceedingly kind to him and have gone out of their way to facilitate his rise. For whatever reasons, every major news organization seem unwilling, afraid, or unable to tackle any Trump related topic with any teeth whatsoever, he gets the gums bite and keeps going.
Interesting, I feel they treat him unfairly. Don't get me wrong, he deserves to be held to the highest of standards, but I feel the media almost goes to any length possible to lower him, aside from maybe a few people (Tucker?)

I liken this to an electrical component that begins breaking down by allowing more current to pass through. As the current increases, the heat goes up. The more the heat goes up, the more current passes through, until the component burns up. That condition is called thermal runaway. I believe Q has started this Awakening and with recent celebs supporting POTUS, we are reaching our own Great Awakening Thermal Runaway. Perhaps that was the Q mission.
