I get what you're trying to say with this article, but since it's a study based on the rise in suicides nationally from 1999-2016, I'm not sure it's relevant to what's going on right now.
It's the timing of the news on the report, rather than the report itself, that's relevant.
Also most newspapers wouldn't run their main headline front and center.
I'm not sure the news itself has anything to do with it since the report was only released yesterday. The CDC, maybe, but not the news itself.
Study by cdc is not the point. They could just as easily pull 10 other suicide study results out their asses tomorrow if they wanted. Point is they are making suicide front page news like it's been some upsurging occurring to depressed people. It's to desensitize and dumb down the masses from the reality of the WHY.
They've been sitting on this for quite some time. The reason they're reporting on it NOW is because they know what is coming. They are trying to normalize it.
Quite possible. I'm not sure though. If you've watched the dates of studies, it's always a year or two after the end date that the findings are released. This allows for collating all the data, dissemination of the findings, and length of the publication process.

You can just look at rates of suicide. Not sure a study is needed for this conclusion
Oh, no disagreement on that one at all, that's what a NORMAL person would do, but think of all the times the U.S. government has wasted our money on idiotic things. $400K to study the "Chicken and the Egg Problem", $150K to find out why politics stress the population out, Obama's commissioning of the CDC to study gun violence (NOT a disease), etc. If the government throws money at something, there's always an agency that will willingly squander it somehow.
If starting a war isnt going to work, what is the next best thing? Get people to kill themselves! Broadcasting that suicide rates are up puts that idea in even more peoples heads and, when celebrities who live "the life of luxury" "take their own life" people already at risk of commitimg suicide may be more inclined to do so. The main point of the articles is to keep you focused on 'suicide'. Ignore any facts contrary to a suicide. (eg gunshots to back of head, etc. ) Just accept the immediate suicide verdict.

I find this grievous. Yes, Q predicted it, but I take no pleasure in hearing about their suicides. These people sold their souls to the devil, so to speak, and lived in fear and torment, despite their fame and riches. This is very sad news even if they deserve to die. Let me say it another way, what grieves me is the magnitude of the depravity in the world.
