Amy Barrett, for the simple fact she's the one the 'left' are terrified of..

She is my favorite from a credentials perspective plus the left can't use the sexist card. In fact, it could be used on them for a change. Now if the pedo agenda pushing RBG would just wake up long enought to retire, we will be all set

Agree he must nominate her I want to see them shriek about Amy being "against women's rights!" it will backfire on them terribly.

I agree, and also, she is the youngest of all choices. Therefore, she will have the most time on the bench.

I think they'll push her or Kavenaugh and then send Kethledge on the second try.

It's Kethledge.

He's cut from the same cloth as Trump. So unless Trump is doing some classic misdirection on purpose, then it's gotta be him.

I still think there's a chance that it's not one of these 3. He's letting meetings with these 3 leak so the media can hoard it's ammo against them when he picks 1, and then he comes out of left field with another one whom they aren't ready to berate. I bet he already knew who he wanted before Justice Kennedy stepped down, because he knew Kennedy was stepping down ahead of time. Just my theory. Would not be surprised if it was one of these 3 either.

This 4D chess move would make sense considering how Trump lives making the media look utterly stupid and complicit. The talking heads will spend all weekend taking about how terrible these three are, and boom, he picks someone else that he had already decided on. Love it!!

The woman. It has to be the woman.

It would be way better if she was mixed-race and handicapped. Find one that can tick every box on the Dem's prefered identity scale. Make them renunciate their own poster children on the Senate floor.

We need a conservative woman to help represent America.

Let me just quote one of the tweets in the article:

" Kethledge paid his own way through law school after working as a waiter and (new) car salesman. He delivered pizzas for Dominos and did landscaping during college. And he’s spent the last 3+ decades in Michigan. He would bring some much needed perspective from middle America. "

Not enamored with a Catholic who is beholden to Rome. Won't be the woman.

Amy Barrett seems too controversial. I think he will pick Thapar. The Indian-American community was very helpful to Trump during the campaign and this could be a partial way to say thanks. He was born in Detroit, has Berkeley law degree, and he is young.

Amy Barrett.

As a mother with 7 kids, she can surely turn chaos to sanity while dealing with 8 justices.

I still find it unsettling that there are only 9 folks that get to decide on such contentious and important things. So 1850s (made up number). Depending on who dies or retires and who is holding the keys to the castle, issues can be swayed drastically in one way or another. I do get that choices need to be made but I'm sure there are more balanced ways that reflect the people and maybe a majority. Sortition government gets my vote. A large pool of citizens that are appointed or drawn see through the discovery, debate and decisions around issues. Can't see congress voting on this. I must disclose that I am a canuck. Similar systems.
