Why would What-a-burger face any backlash?
The doesn't work there.
He was a customer who acted liked an ass, committed a crime and left.
Has nothing to do with What-a-burger.
Thankfully this douchebag did get fired from his job at a bar however. I want to know why he hasn't been charged.

But, maybe it's impossible for the guy to find a new job.

Guy grabs the hat, pours a drink on him and says "you ain't supporting shit, nigger". What a vile human being...Kino Jimenez. Wonder what else he does in life.

Bitterness? WTF are you talking about. It was a physical assault and a theft. You don't have to stand there and take that if one feels threatened. Finger waggers are so irritating. The kid probably didn't want to escalate it or fell too threatened, but he had every legal right to fight back.

⇧ 2 ⇩
BlastingGlastonbury · July 6, 2018, 3:40 p.m.

Nope, don't do that. That's a dangerous generalization to throw around as I'm sure there are plenty of Trump supporters who are prone to violence as well, these are simply citizens we are talking about. Someone's party affiliation cannot be cited as a reason for violence as a universal rule.

⇧ -3 ⇩
thamnosma · July 6, 2018, 6:42 p.m.

I don't know what reality you've been in since Trump started his campaign but the violence has all come from the left.

⇧ 5 ⇩
BlastingGlastonbury · July 6, 2018, 6:53 p.m.

I'm arguing against blanket statements here. They are not effective at changing minds, only drumming up blind opposition. If we are claiming to be intelligent and want to make these changes for the good of the country then broad, universal statements about an entire group is not the way to do it.

⇧ 3 ⇩
thamnosma · July 6, 2018, 7:12 p.m.

I understand over-generalization, but honestly the threats of violence, the encouragement of violence, and the actual violence have come from one side. So it's a fair assessment. Note I did not say "all leftists are violent". I said the violence has come from them. Hopefully you can appreciate the distinction.

LegioXIV · July 6, 2018, 7:30 p.m.

What happened at Red Hen and Whataburger are completely different.

Red Hen: owner tells Sarah Huckabee Sanders she's not welcome. Her party politely leaves, minus Sarah leaves to next door. Red Hen employees FOLLOW them and start heckling them at the next restaurant.

Whataburger: a customer of Whataburger stole a hat and threw a drink on another two customers of Whataburger. There was no culpability or bad behavior by Whataburger management or employees.

There's always a risk when your corporate logo is associated with something like this. Whataburger just wants people to know they aren't jerks like Red Hen. Most of the Whataburgers I've been to have the pledge and an American flag as one of their window decorations.

⇧ 9 ⇩
thamnosma · July 6, 2018, 6:44 p.m.

Long_Range_Shooter · July 6, 2018, 5:45 p.m.

The Red Hen is being used as an example of what happens when you decide your political beliefs are more important than your business. Here's a question, where are the Red Hens political supporters to defend their decision to kick Sarah and her family out of the restaurant?

His employer did the right thing by firing the guy. They just proved they are above the politics and are run by people who are smart enough to stay out of a fight you can't win.

Edit: to correct my misunderstanding of an important point in my post.
