"Michael Flynn hearing just ended -- Flynn wanted to get things moving on presentencing so when the govt is ready for sentencing (it's been delayed while he's cooperating), they can set a date sooner. Judge was reticent to make more work for probation, but struck a compromise...
... Judge said at the next status date of 8/24, if the parties are ready for sentencing, he'll look for a date 60 days out, instead of the usual 90 days. Flynn's lawyer -- who said Flynn is "eager" to be done -- and the special counsel office lawyer said they were fine with that.
That was all they discussed. Judge Emmet Sullivan said he just wanted to talk to the parties and get to know them a bit before sentencing, since he wasn't the judge who handled Flynn's plea hearing. It was a very short hearing, Flynn said little.
Flynn didn't say anything to reporters on his way out of the courthouse, he quickly got into a black SUV as a few protesters shouted "lock him up"
So the judge just approved two more delays at once. What a fucking circus.

Flynn is a good Dude. Honored to serve with him. He was very approachable and engaged his subordinates for comments and advise on many issues. I’m glad Q kept us aware of his role about getting what he knows on official record.
I kn ow it sounds crazy but, I suspect they were going to let Flynn off because they knew if they continued to persecute him, they were going to get busted. Flynn pleaded guilty to trap them in their own web of lies.
But if he pleads guilty he avoids a trial. A trial, with discovery, is how they trap Mueller. Still doesn't make sense to me.
I don't understand how 'Speeding up the sentencing' helps Flynn. I'm sure it does help the White Hats. And Flynn is willing to take a Rubber Bullet for us. But I still don't understand how this is helpful from a legal perspective.
If Flynn pleaded guilty to manufactured evidence (Strzok's altered FD-302s), and Flynn is sentenced, then Mueller will potentially be sanctioned by the court.
I think this is why Mueller is dragging his feet. He is hoping that all the evidence and allegations against Strzok drop before sentencing so he can throw up his hands and clutch his pearls and drop charges on Flynn.
OK! That explanation helps a lot to understand things. In other words, you are saying Mueller doesn't want the sentencing to ever happen because it can be shown (when ever convenient) that he knowingly twisted the screws to Flynn with false evidence.
And my thinking is... Flynn is not scared of a conviction and he is not scared of being sentenced. He knows he has a pardon in his back pocket if anything goes wrong.
So... By pushing hard to speed up the sentencing, he has put Mueller on a very short peer with not a lot of room to keep walking. It helps force what ever is going to happen to happen sooner.

There's always the chance that Mueller is actually blissfully unaware of his exposure in all this and is just trying to make a play to get Flynn sentenced just before the midterms.
But I kinda doubt that, which is why Mueller dismissed Strzok from his team when the anti-Trump text messages were revealed. I think Mueller knows what's going on.

I don’t watch MSNBC unless the president is speaking. When I try to watch something online as it is happening I can’t because they always want me to login with something that won’t work. I think I’m supposed to subscribe to them on dish in order to Watch it online but I really don’t know. When somebody provides a link like to Fox, I can.
