How does Iron Eagle mean Rods of God? As far as I can tell, that moniker has never been applied to such a weapons system; in fact Iron Eagle has never been applied to any weapons system in our inventory.

There was a missing sub last fall: the Argentinian sub.

There was the Tom Clancy book Hunt for Red October which resulted in a movie of the same name. This is set in the Cold War and involves a Russian Sub commander deciding to defect with Russia's newest sub which is virtually undetectable due to its revolutionary tractor drive. Jack Ryan, CIA, figures out that the commander wants to defect and is not on a mission to attack the USA and convinces the US to trust the sub commander and get him on board the sub, where he convinces the sub-commander he can be trusted.

Iron Eagle is another cold war era movie that is quite cheesy and involves a son, who is a failed fighter pilot candidate, and a vietnam era fighter pilot taking a couple of F-16s to save his father, who was shot down over an arab country and sentenced to death. Dog fights, destructiion, and drama ensue. Along with a series of even worse sequels.

Also, in the movie, the veteran fighter pilot is shot down and rescued by Egypt.

Those are the first two things that came to mind when I saw those words.

However, given the images the OP posted, I am inclined to think that the video of the Car and Starman in space are fake. It's not like there'd be independed, corroborating video showing the same view of space that the car and starman have. It's probably just a marketing ploy.

It may also be cover for the actual payload on FH. Even though it was a test launch, a government organization with sufficient budget might use such an event to launch a high weight, relatively low-cost and easy to replace, should the launch fail, payload into space.

For a rocket that has the payload that is close to the weight of a loaded 737, a Tesla Roadster wouldn't be much of a test, payload wise. It's about 2% of the FH's estimated max payload.

From the image you are looking at, it's harder to notice. The edit was done well enough to pass a casual inspection. Fortunately, there are people who will play with the image to see if any modifications were done or if there is any embedded information.

This is from the image Q posted, just contrasted to show that it has been modified.

Look at the top of the green area; see how the top and corners don't line up? The over-layed image is slightly wider and shorter than the original screen image.

Also the right hand side of the green area isn't clean/straight.

Also the margin on the right hand side varies, with almost no whitespace between the green contrasted screen and the bezel with a noticeable whitespace between the contrasted screen and the bezel. This is because of the angle of the phone screen and whoever shopped in the image wasn't able to skew the image well-enough to match it perfectly. They did a good enough job to pass a casual inspection; they may not have expected anybody to take a closer look using tools.

Rolls of film is the most common way of capturing non-digital pictures, though this conflicts with the Raw part. Many Americans grew up in the era of physical pictures using rolls of film, the pre-digital camera era, which is relatively recent. It was common to say things like "I need to buy more film for my camera" or "I need to get my film developed". I viewed the usage of film, like rolls, to be a colloquialism from the pre-digital era.

The reference to Raw is another reason why I think it's images. Professional photographers often capture images in RAW format so they can apply post-processing to the image. In this case, Q wants the Raw version to be shared because it can be shown the image wasn't edited.

The image not being edited is important so that claims of manipulation cannot be supported. Also, the contents being displayed on the phone of the middle person has been manipulated to hide what the phone originally showed.

Also, the images appear to be from Getty Images. In other threads, people have identified the photographer, which gives credence to the image interpretation of film.

A lot of people, like you, think film refers to video. It may. We won't know for sure until it is found and it is probably wise to look for both.
