Feds say 4 people left OC on business jet that crashed in East County

 

EL CAJON, Calif. — Federal investigators say the small business jet that crashed near El Cajon Monday evening had recently taken off from Orange County with four people on board, but questions remain about the plane’s occupants.

 

Officials with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said on the night of the crash that firefighters “were not able to find any survivors” after the jet crashed in the unincorporated Bostonia area of El Cajon around 7:15 p.m.

 

As the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board began their probe into the crash Tuesday morning, they deferred to local authorities for any firm confirmation about the passengers’ identities and whether there was a chance anyone survived the crash. FOX 5 will continue to work for updates.

 

In the meantime, federal investigators’ initial reports shed some new light on the crash.

 

Rick Breitenfeldt, an FAA spokesperson, confirmed the aircraft was a Learjet 35 business jet that had departed John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana and was headed to Gillespie Field Airport in San Diego County with four people on the plane.

The shock and awe will be so great that many of the very doctors and scientists you relied on to back up your common sense that the public health revolution was wrong, will suddenly say, "Well, this new pandemic is a real threat. How can we go about normal life with something in the air that kills 50% of the people?! Hide out. Stay apart. Go get tested!"

 

That's why I warned - don't base your liberty on what doctors and scientists are saying. Because even (or especially) they can be scared by a threat so "great" that they will be afraid to say that liberty and normal human life is perfectly all right. You can see that they are floating many ideas at the same time, smallpox, ebola, avian flu, and variants to test which are the ones to play up the most as the new pandemic. Or maybe all of them. How much better will it scare people if it can be claimed to be lab generated. I don't know which of these they will push the most, but there may be multiple simultaneously or consecutively.

 

As I have warned repeatedly, Bill Gates declares that the main priority now is the building of a global testing infrastructure in which every person is tested at least every five weeks for C-19, variants and other threats. He has correctly announced everything in advance so pay attention.

 

The public health officials don't really need anyone to die from any pandemic - there just has to be enough fear to have the people scared into constant testing. We are already seeing it now with the latest variant. Once people agree to be tested, as tragically many who are trying to avoid the genetic code injection have agreed to do, they are locked into the testing and evaluating system.

 

So this avian flu at 50% fatality would be a perfect excuse to ramp up the testing infrastructure.

 

To survive this, we need to double down on our common sense, which is a gift from G-d Almighty. We need to triple down on our connection to G-d Almighty and then we will not be prone to fear and looking for other people to save us.

Judge Nathan added that 'we are facing a high and escalating risk that the jurors or participants may need to quarantine, putting at risk our ability to complete this trial.'

 

She added it was time to think about the juror 'making plans to continue to deliberate until a verdict is reached.'

 

Judge Nathan did not elaborate, although during the week leading up to Christmas she offered the jury an extra day to deliberate, which they declined.

 

This week will be another short week because of the New Year holiday, with the court expected to be closed Thursday and Friday.

Driving a golf cart around his small and immaculate desert ranch, Ray Epps appears a man in his element.

 

Cattle graze contentedly as he makes his rounds of the property he's transformed into a thriving wedding venue business, focusing on the location's rustic charm.

 

However, the tranquil scene just outside Phoenix, Arizona, could not be in starker contrast to one in which he is also associated – the storming of the Capitol Building on January 6.

 

Because not only is Epps, 60, a genial host of rural weddings, he's also the former president of the largest chapter of far-right anti-government militia group the Oath Keepers and was seen in video urging supporters to 'go into the Capitol' on the day of the deadly insurrection.

 

He was also spotted in footage at the first barrier to fall to rioters as it was breached at 12:50pm.

And he was named Suspect 16 when the FBI published images in its Capitol Violence Most Wanted list of people to identify two days after the insurrection, which claimed five lives.

 

However, a dramatic twist has now seen him accused of an altogether different, an unproven, allegiance - that of FBI plant.

 

Suspicion has fallen on him from some right-wing quarters speculating a fringe theory that he was sent out to help incite the riot on behalf of the federal government.

 

Some on the far right hypothesize that the motive was to frame Trump supporters as domestic terrorists.

 

There is no evidence that Epps, who was a sergeant in the military, ever entered the building himself on that fateful day and he was never arrested in connection with the storming.

 

DailyMail.com located the veteran at his Rocking R Farms wedding and hospitality business, which he runs with wife Robyn, 63.

 

When we arrived at the property in Queen Creek, 30 miles southeast of downtown Phoenix, to give him an opportunity to confront the extreme speculation, he bluntly refused to discuss it.

 

He told us: 'Get off my property'. As we endeavored to further explain, he repeated: 'Get off my property.'

 

Epps spends part of his days tending his animals and driving around on an eight-seater golf cart, as our exclusive pictures reveal.

 

He had swapped out the red Trump cap he wore in Washington for a beige Marines one. Wrapped against the desert winter chill, he appeared wary and on his guard beside the driveway entrance posts proudly bearing the name 'EPPS.'

 

The bucolic scene was a far cry from the howling mobs who stormed the Capitol Building and fought police shortly after then-President Trump delivered a speech to thousands of MAGA supporters at a nearby 'Stop the Steal' rally.

 

Epps – who was quickly identified from the January wanted list - was highlighted again in October's House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing of the Department of Justice, when the FBI theory went mainstream.

Massie linked Epps to his question asking Attorney General Merrick Garland if the government sent agents or assets to 'agitate' protestors into entering the building.

 

Garland said the Justice Department does not comment on pending investigations.

 

In the first video played to the committee, Epps is seen in the street on January 5 saying: 'In fact tomorrow, I don't even want to say it because I will probably be arrested. Tomorrow we need to go into the Capitol.'

 

On the same day, he is recorded saying: 'I'm going to put it out there. I'm probably going to go to jail for it, OK? Tomorrow, we need to go into the Capitol. Into the Capitol…peacefully.'

 

At that point some in the crowd clearly believe he is a plant and begin to chant: 'Fed! Fed! Fed!'

 

The following day, Epps can be seen in another clip dressed in military-style clothing and yelling to a crowd: 'OK folks, spread the word. As soon as the president is done speaking, we go to the Capitol, where our problems are.'

 

Pointing behind him, he adds: 'It's that direction. Please spread the word.'

 

Shortly afterwards he is seen approaching police barricades holding back chanting protestors.

 

He put his hands on the shoulders of a man in a red MAGA hat and then cups his hands to speak in the man's ear.

 

Moments later the man and protestors suddenly topple the barriers and some fight with police.

 

The man in the hat, later identified as Ryan Samsel, is being held in custody on charges of unlawfully entering the Capitol and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

 

In another video Epps, who was also toting a military-style backpack, is speaking to a man who asks: 'Are we going to get arrested?'

 

Epps tells him: 'When we go in, leave this here.' It is not clear what he is referring to, but then he adds: 'We don't need to get shot.'

 

The ex-marine was quizzed by the Arizona Republic over what he meant by 'go into the Capitol'.

 

He told his local newspaper: 'The only thing that meant is we would go in the doors like everyone else. It was totally, totally wrong the way they went in…I didn't do anything wrong.'

 

The most dramatic interpretation of the FBI-plant accusation has so far come from right-leaning blog Revolver.

 

The site is run by former Trump speechwriter Darren Beattie, who was fired after appearing on a panel with a white nationalist.

 

It claims the fact Epps was never arrested and that his details were removed from the FBI wanted list in July without any action against him point to a sinister connection. It brands him a 'Fed-protected provocateur'.

 

At one point the blog tries to excuse the actions of the rioters by blaming the military veteran and others who it does not identify.

It says: 'Ray Epps appears to have worked alongside several individuals – many of them suspiciously unindicted – to carry out a breach of the police barricades that induced a subsequent flood of unsuspecting MAGA protestors to unwittingly trespass on Capitol restricted grounds and place themselves in legal jeopardy.'

 

However the blog offers no direct evidence to back up any allegation that Epps was acting on behalf of the FBI or any other government agency.

 

Epps was president of the Oath Keepers' Arizona chapter, the country's largest, in 2011. Many of the far-right militia group are among the 727 people from 40 states charged with offenses in the insurrection.

 

However it is not known if he is still affiliated with the organization, which targets veterans and ex-law enforcement for membership.

 

Arizona-born Epps bought his current property as a five-acre horse farm in 2010, paying $252,000. He and Robyn, also 60, have developed the site and possibly added to the acreage of Rocking R Farms.

 

Their company incorporates a wedding venue they call Knotty Barn, where couples can marry amid rustic beauty and even stay in a bridal suite.

 

They explain on their website: 'Ray has farming in his blood. One side of his family raised dairy cows and the other raised range cattle. He worked on the farm beside his parents and grandparents most of his adolescent life.'

 

Epps met Robyn in Las Vegas where he was working as a contractor She hired him to fix the roof of an apartment building owned by her boss.

 

Their website says: 'Robyn told an employee to catch Ray and ask him to come back in before he got into his truck.

 

'That night, they went out on a date and not long afterward, Ray asked Robyn to marry him. Their love is still very strong today and memories are rekindled every time they walk a bride and groom through their property.'

 

Of their property, they say: 'In 2010, Ray wanted to return to his roots, so he and Robyn bought a 5-acre farm…

 

'Ray brought cattle to the farm along with horses, including his favorite horse, T-Rex, who roams contentedly through the front pasture.'

 

They initially concentrated on selling grass-fed beef together with eggs and tomatoes at farmers markets. But in 2016 the bottom fell out of the market so they repurposed their business into a wedding venue, launching in 2019.

Ray & Robyn

 

Ray has farming in his blood. One side of his family raised dairy cows and the other raised range cattle. He worked on the farm beside his parents and grandparents much of his adolescent life.

 

Ray also spent most of his career as a contractor, and that work led to Robyn who was the regional manager of a company and she hired Ray to fix a leaky roof at some apartments owned by her employer. Ray was drawn to Robyn the minute he walked into her office, but he left without asking her out. Robyn told an employee to catch Ray and ask him to come back in before he got into his truck. That night, they went out on a date and not long afterward, Ray asked Robyn to marry him. Their love is still very strong today and memories are rekindled every time they walk a bride and groom through their property.

 

In 2010, Ray wanted to return to his roots, so he and Robyn bought a 5-acre farm in Queen Creek, AZ and named it Rocking R Farms. Ray brought cattle to the farm along with horses, including his favorite horse, T-Rex, who roams contentedly through the front pasture. Not far behind the cattle and horse purchases were pigs, chickens and emus. Their final additions were two adorable dwarf Nigerian goats, Addy and Patches. Their antics made children and adults alike squeal and laugh. In January, Angel, a beautiful pure white little goat, came to the farm.

 

In 2012, they hosted Ray’s family reunion. As Ray and his dad talked, they thought the farm would be a great backdrop for family reunions for others. The dream was set aside for the more lucrative beef business Ray had begun. He and Robyn sold grass-fed beef, eggs, greens, and tomatoes at farmer’s markets and through word-of-mouth.

 

In 2016, the bottom fell out of the American grass-fed beef market nationally when commodity agents were allowed to flood the market with grass-fed beef from other countries.

 

Ray and Robyn re-evaluated their priorities and realized that what brings the most joy and motivation is in helping others find the same in their lives. Family is important to them, so they wanted to provide a place for family, friends and colleagues to relax, play and celebrate the important times in their lives. The dream that Ray and his dad discussed years back became Ray and Robyn’s future reality and the idea for family reunions grew to include weddings, corporate events, parties, and community gatherings.

 

What was once a dream to use their farm to bring joy to others moved from dream to paper. They planned, designed, and built the Knotty Barn. Ray modeled the design after his grandfather’s rustic farm, built in the 1800s.

 

As the Knotty Barn opened its doors in 2019, Ray and Robyn’s dreams became reality. They now want your dreams do the same within the Knotty Barn’s walls.

Welch, an ambitious young Bostonian, told his sister: “If by absorbing German lore I can get a little start of a few thousand rivals and thereby reduce my competition to a few hundred more or less it is a good point to tally.” Welch did go off to Germany for the coveted Ph.D., a degree which at the time had its actual existence in any practical sense only there, and in due course his ambition was satisfied. Welch became first dean of Johns Hopkins Medical School and, later, chief advisor to the Rockefeller Foundation on medical projects. Welch was one of thousands who found the German Ph.D. a blessing without parallel in late-nineteenth-century America. German Ph.D.’s ruled the academic scene by then.

 

For an ironic reflection on the success of Prussian educational ideals, take a look at Martin Van Creveld’s Fighting Power (Greenwood Press, 1982). Creveld, the world’s finest military historian, undertakes to explain why German armies in 1914—1918 and 1939—1945, although heavily outnumbered in the major battles of both wars, consistently inflicted 30 percent more casualties than they suffered, whether they were winning or losing, on defense or on offense, no matter who they fought. They were better led, we might suspect, but the actual training of those field commanders comes as a shock. While American officer selection was right out of Frederick Taylor, complete with psychological dossiers and standardized tests, German officer training emphasized individual apprenticeships, week-long field evaluations, extended discursive written evaluations by senior officers who personally knew the candidates. The surprise is, while German state management was rigid and regulated with its common citizens, it was liberal and adventuresome with its elites. After WWII, and particularly after Vietnam, American elite military practice began to follow this German model. Ironically enough, America’s elite private boarding schools like Groton had followed the Prussian lead from their inception as well as the British models of Eton and Harrow.

 

German elite war doctrine cut straight to the heart of the difference between the truly educated and the merely schooled. For the German High Command war was seen as an art, a creative activity, grounded in science. War made the highest demands on an officer’s entire personality and the role of the individual in Germany was decisive. American emphasis, on the other hand, was doctrinal, fixated on cookbook rules. The U.S. officer’s manual said: “Doctrines of combat operation are neither numerous nor complex. Knowledge of these doctrines provides a firm basis for action in a particular situation.” This reliance on automatic procedure rather than on creative individual decisions got a lot of Americans killed by the book. The irony, of course, was that American, British, and French officers got the same lockstep conditioning in dependence that German foot soldiers did. There are some obvious lessons here which can be applied directly to public schooling.

Forget Tide pods and ice water; the latest TikTok craze is the "outlet challenge." Yes, it's as stupid as it sounds.

 

<The challenge is simple: plug in a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs. The resulting sparks are supposed to be cool enough to win you instant internet fame. (Obviously, do NOT attempt this!)

 

News outlets all over the country are reporting on this disturbing trend. Fire departments, electricians, and school systems are all trying to get the message out about just how dangerous it is to try this.

 

Basically, if you see your kids hovering near a wall outlet with a penny in hand, put a stop to the prank. Have a serious talk about the dangers of electricity and fire, then spread the word about this in your own circles.

 

In case you were wondering, the penny creates both sparks and a potential fire hazard because of the electrical arcing. If someone is caught doing this on purpose, they may be liable for any damages incurred. Just ask the teens in Massachusetts who may now be facing fines and possible criminal charges for starting electrical fires.

The childhood deaths, Brammer said, are “unfortunately what we would expect when flu activity picks up. It’s a sad reminder of how severe flu can be.”

During last year’s unusually light flu season, one child died. In contrast, 199 children died from flu two years ago, and 144 the year before that.

In the newest data, the most intense flu activity was in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., and the number of states with high flu activity rose from three to seven. In CDC figures released Monday, states with high flu activity are New Mexico, Kansas, Indiana, New Jersey, Tennessee, Georgia and North Dakota.

 

The type of virus circulating this year tends to cause the largest amount of severe disease, especially in the elderly and the very young, Brammer said.

Last year’s break from the flu made it more challenging to plan for this year’s flu vaccine. So far, it looks like what’s circulating is in a slightly different subgroup from what the vaccine targets, but it’s “really too early to know” whether that will blunt the vaccine’s effectiveness, Brammer said.

“We’ll have to see what the impact of these little changes” will be, Brammer said. “Flu vaccine is your best way to protect yourself against flu.”

There are early signs that fewer people are getting flu shots compared with last year. With hospitals already stretched by COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot and take other precautions, Brammer said.

“Cover your cough. Wash your hands. Stay home if you’re sick,” Brammer said. “If you do get flu, there are antivirals you can talk to your doctor about that can prevent severe illness and help you stay out of the hospital.”

<Raniere studiedest/Landmark,a company offering personal development programs, which uses theories formulated by Werner Erhard, author of ‘est’ (Erhard Seminars Training).

 

Raniere studied Scientology, a body of beliefs and practices created by L. Ron Hubbard, as an alternative to psychiatry, and a religion with its own terminology, doctrines, an E-meter, and the practice of auditing.

 

Raniere studied Neurolinguistic Programming, an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder which claims a connection between neurological processes, language and behavior a person learns through her life experience and that these can be changed to achieve certain goals.

 

Raniere synthesized these, and a dose of author Ayn Rand, a dash of Milton’s Paradise Lost and a hodgepodge of other stray bits of wisdom he accumulated over time into NXIVM ‘technology’ for people who felt inadequate and frightened by life in return for money and sex partners.

 

Are there some NXIVM people who benefited from the classes? Possibly.

 

What I saw was the more classes a student took, the less capable she was of functioning and the more obedient to Raniere.

 

From what I observed, students had an inability to focus which usually led to a disconnect at all critical moments, almost as if the NXIVM student was programmed to be a mere ‘worker bee’ and before she could ever gain the independence needed to become an executive success or accomplish tasks which required strength, or finesses or leadership, she would disconnect and be utterly unable to proceed. And that point she would be programmed to ask Raniere or one of the higher rank members of NXIVM – such as her coach. She would then be told that she needed to pay for more courses and the need itself and the desire to seek help from NXIVM was indicative of the great progress she was making.

 

And, if somehow, the thinking she needed to accomplish a task led to realizing she needed to get far away from Raniere, the student would often panic and descend into abject fear and sometimes infantilism.

 

Following through on projects seemed difficult or impossible for NXIVM students during my tenure. That is why NXIVM needed so many outside consultants; their own members were utterly deficient in business and most worldly matters. Most could work only under direct and careful supervision.

 

Throughout the years of NXIVM, the women Raniere was bedding while seeming to fare slightly better than those he did not bed, overall they were anxious, constantly dieting and striving to please him and worried over his absence or their weight or to displease him for reasons I doubt they even fully understood. He was manipulating them into slavery.

 

The women who were too old for the harem [35 plus], and the eunuch-like male members – seemed to hold Raniere in a veneration an acolyte holds towards his God. This too is part of the NXIVM technology.

 

Happily for those who want to study some of the top secret course, the patent application for Raniere’s ‘Rational Inquiry’ – the name he gave for his brand of thinking that he taught his students -discloses the first 21 “modules” ( 2003 05 26 patent application for rational-inquiry-2)

 

Interestingly, there is a crime and punishment module.

 

Page 179: “coaches are to make sure that students understand ‘that punishment upholds our ethical system and without punishment there can be no ethics’”.

 

How convenient. This allowed Raniere to punish a student in ‘ethical breach’. And claim moral superiority while doing it.

 

In NXIVM, ‘ethics’ supersede ‘rules’. NXIVM leaders often consider it ethical to break the ‘rules’ to uphold ‘ethics.’ This is helpful since laws are after all nothing more than rules.

 

Since Raniere is the ultimate authority on ethics, there are no rules or laws for his followers other than his fiat. He refers to himself as an “ethicist.”

 

Judging every action subjectively by unwritten ‘ethical principles’ is a recipe for dictatorship. Which is why Raniere wrote it that way.

 

Below is a checklist from the secret class course work of NXIVM. It was against the ethics and the rules of NXIVM for a student to reveal this secret teaching. However in attempting to patent much of this, it became public.

China's small Beijing-3 satellite can take high resolution images of US cities within seconds, a speed its American counterparts can't match, scientists say

 

A small, one-ton Chinese satellite can quickly snap high-resolution images of US cities that are so detailed they can identify individual military vehicles and the weapons they carry, Chinese scientists involved in the Beijing-3 satellite project said Tuesday.

 

The commercial Beijing-3 satellite, launched by China in June, conducted an in-depth scan of a 1,470-square mile area in the San Francisco Bay. The satellite captured the area within 42 seconds, The South China Morning Post first reported, citing results published this month in the Chinese peer-reviewed journal "Spacecraft Engineering."

 

Beijing-3 has a unique advantage up its sleeve: It can pitch and yaw at up to 10 degrees per second while not compromising image quality as it orbits the Earth, said lead scientist Yang Fang, who headed the project run by DFH Satellite Company under the Chinese Academy of Space and Technology.

 

Normally, satellite cameras have to be kept still when they take high definition images, and thus can only observe straight strips of land as they orbit above the area. So they sometimes have to fly over a region multiple times to scan the whole area, or work in tandem with other satellites.

 

The Beijing-3's maneuverability means it only needs a single sweep to observe entire regions, such as the 3,915 mile-long Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia that winds from China's east coast to the western Tibetan plateau, the researchers said in a CCTV-13 broadcast segment.

 

If the Beijing-3 is equipped with artificial intelligence, it can potentially observe up to 500 areas around the world with up to 100 revisits a day, they added, according to The Post.

 

Still, the quality of the Beijing-3's imagery isn't sharp enough to rival American-developed satellites like the Worldview-4, which was built by Lockheed Martin and could capture images at a resolution of 12 inches per pixel.

 

Beijing-3 can snap images with a resolution of 20 inches per pixel at best. But its researchers said the Chinese satellite's response time is around two to three times faster than that of Worldview-4 — which was retired in 2019, less than three years after its 2016 launch because of a failure in its stabilizing system.

 

The report on Beijing-3 comes amid rising concerns in the US that China's space technology is growing at a breakneck pace. General David Thompson, vice chief of space operations in the US Space Force, warned earlier this month that China could overtake the US in space capabilities by 2030.

 

"The fact, that in essence, on average, they are building and fielding and updating their space capabilities at twice the rate we are means that very soon, if we don't start accelerating our development and delivery capabilities, they will exceed us," Thompson said, per CNN, adding that it could happen as soon as 2030.

On CNN’s Erin Burnett Out Front Tuesday, fill-in host Poppy Harlow spoke with CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner about all-things COVID-19 related, and got his reaction to comments that Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) made to Fox News during their Monday primetime block, regarding the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines.

 

“We all hoped and prayed the vaccines would be 100% effective, 100% safe. But they’re not,” Johnson said on Monday. “We now know that fully vaccinated individuals can catch Covid, they can transmit Covid. So what’s the point?”

 

After playing a clip of Johnson’s interview, Harlow asked Dr. Reiner, who advised the White House medical team under President George W. Bush, what he thought of those comments.

 

“I’d say that he’s so misguided that it makes me wonder whether this is all just an act. And if it is an act, what does that say about what he thinks his constituents want to hear?” Reiner said, later adding. “And if this is not an act, then he is just the most ignorant man in the United States Senate. And that says a lot.”

 

Sen. Johnson has been making headlines with what some have considered to be outrageous claims throughout the course of the pandemic, causing many health experts to label him as one of the main perpetrators of misinformation happening in our country. And that’s something that Dr. Reiner says has consequences.

 

“His propagation of this nonsense that somehow vaccines don’t work and are unsafe is the reason why so many of his constituents are becoming hospitalized and are dying,” Reiner said.
