https://www.amazon.co.uk/Circle-Darkness-Memoir-World-Watcher-ebook/dp/B0849SRZTZ/
>Circle in the Darkness recounts veteran journalist Diana Johnstone's lifelong effort to understand what is going on in the world, seeking the truth about our troubled times beyond the veils of government propaganda and media deception. For Johnstone, the political is personal. From her experience of Cold War hostilities as a student in Yugoslavia, in the movement against the U.S. war against Vietnam, in May ’68, in professional and alternative journalism, in the historic peace movement of the 1980s that led to the reunification of Germany, in the transformation of the German Greens from peace to war party and the European Union’s sacrifice of democracy to “globalization”, her critical viewpoint dissects events and identifies trends. She recounts in detail how the Western left betrayed its historical principles of social justice and peace and let itself be lured into approval of aggressive U.S.-NATO wars on the fallacious grounds of “human rights”. Subjects range from caustic analysis of the pretentious confusion of French philosophers to the stories of many courageous individuals whose struggle for peace and justice ended in deep personal tragedy, with a great deal in between. Circle in the Darkness is a lucid, uncompromising tour through half a century of contemporary history intended especially for those who may aspire against all obstacles to change its course for the better.

>Hailed by Plato as the “Tenth Muse” of ancient Greek poetry, Sappho is inarguably antiquity’s greatest lyric poet. Born over 2,600 years ago on the Greek island of Lesbos, and writing amorously of women and men alike, she is the namesake lesbian. What’s left of her writing, and what we know of her, is fragmentary. Shrouded in mystery, she is nonetheless repeatedly translated and discussed – no, appropriated – by all. Sappho has most recently undergone a variety of treatments by agenda-driven scholars and so-called poet-translators with little or no knowledge of Greek. Classicist-translator Jeffrey Duban debunks the postmodernist scholarship by which Sappho is interpreted today and offers translations reflecting the charm and elegant simplicity of the originals.
>Duban provides a reader-friendly overview of Sappho’s times and themes, exploring her eroticism and Greek homosexuality overall. He introduces us to Sappho’s highly cultured island home, to its lyre-accompanied musical legends, and to the fabled beauty of Lesbian women. Not least, he emphasizes the proximity of Lesbos to Troy, making the translation and enjoyment of Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey a further focus.
>More than anything else, argues Duban, it is free verse and its rampant legacy – and no two persons more than Walt Whitman and Ezra Pound – that bear responsibility for the ruin of today’s classics in translation, to say nothing of poetry in the twentieth century. Beyond matters of reflection for classicists, Duban provides a far-ranging beginner’s guide to classical literature, with forays into Spenser and Milton, and into the colonial impulse of Virgil, Spenser, and the West at large.

>Recently voted the greatest fantasy of all time, after The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Gene Wolfe's The Book of the New Sun is an extraordinary epic, set a million years in the future, on an Earth transformed in mysterious and wondrous ways, in a time when our present culture is no longer even a memory. Severian, the central character, is a torturer, exiled from his guild after falling in love with one of his victims, and journeying to the distant city of Thrax, armed with his ancient executioner's sword, Terminus Est. This edition contains the first four volumes of the series.

>In the quarter century that has passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, fanciful establishment intellectuals have advanced the idea that an “end of history” has somehow arrived. The model of “democratic capitalism” is said to be the final stage in the development of political economy. It is often suggested that it is simply a matter of waiting for the rest of the world to catch up, and at that point the Western model will have achieved a final and eternal triumph. In this work, the anarchist philosopher Keith Preston expresses skepticism of these presumptions. Expounding upon the critique of modernity advanced by Friedrich Nietzsche well over a century ago, Preston argues that the historical cycle associated with the rise of modernity is winding down. The forces of globalism, liberalism, capitalism, democracy, and Americanization are closer to achieving universal hegemony than ever before. Yet Preston subjects all of these to relentless criticism, and challenges virtually every presumption of the present era’s dominant ideological model. Drawing upon a wide range of ideological currents and intellectual influences, Preston observes how the hegemony of what he calls the “Anglo-American-Zionist-Wahhabist” axis is being challenged within the realm of international relations by both emerging blocks of rival states and insurgent non-state actors. Citing thinkers as diverse as Ernst Junger and Emma Goldman, Max Stirner and Alain de Benoist, Hans Hermann Hoppe and Kevin Carson, Preston offers an alternative vision of what the future of postmodern civilization might bring.

https://anonym.to/?https://www.counter-currents.com/2020/05/now-in-print-shippingthe-world-in-flamesthe-shorter-writings-of-francis-parker-yockey
>The World in Flames collects all of Francis Parker Yockey’s surviving essays and correspondence, including recent and never-before-published archival discoveries. The volume is edited with an Introduction and annotations by Kerry Bolton, the foremost expert on Yockey’s life and thought. The World in Flames is an indispensable volume for understanding America’s most important anti-liberal thinker.
>Francis Parker Yockey (1917–1960) was born in Chicago. After studying at the University of Michigan, Georgetown University, and the University of Arizona, he graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1941. In 1946, Yockey worked as an attorney for the Nuremberg Trials in Germany. In 1948, Yockey published Imperium: The Philosophy of History and Politics (2 vols.) under the pen name Ulick Varange. In 1949, Yockey published a manifesto, The Proclamation of London. In 1953, he published The Enemy of Europe. But Yockey was not just a political theorist. He was a political actor. For the remainder of his life, Yockey traveled the world, using a bewildering array of passports and fake identities, building a network of contacts with National Socialist exiles, Arab nationalists, Marxists, and Third World liberation movements. His ultimate aim was a unified Europe, free to pursue its destiny without the domination of outside powers. He committed suicide on June 16, 1960 in the San Francisco Jail, where he was being held on charges of passport fraud. Since his death, Yockey has been recognized as America’s foremost anti-liberal thinker and exerts a steady and growing influence on the New Right.

>Academics extol high-minded ideals, such as serving the common good and promoting social justice. Universities aim to be centers of learning that find the best and brightest students, treat them fairly, and equip them with the knowledge they need to lead better lives.
>But as Jason Brennan and Phillip Magness show in Cracks in the Ivory Tower, American universities fall far short of this ideal. At almost every level, they find that students, professors, and administrators are guided by self-interest rather than ethical concerns. College bureaucratic structures also often incentivize and reward bad behavior, while disincentivizing and even punishing good behavior. Most students, faculty, and administrators are out to serve themselves and pass their costs onto others.
>The problems are deep and pervasive: most academic marketing and advertising is semi-fraudulent. To justify their own pay raises and higher budgets, administrators hire expensive and unnecessary staff. Faculty exploit students for tuition dollars through gen-ed requirements. Students hardly learn anything and cheating is pervasive. At every level, academics disguise their pursuit of self-interest with high-faluting moral language.
>Marshaling an array of data, Brennan and Magness expose many of the ethical failings of academia and in turn reshape our understanding of how such high power institutions run their business. Everyone knows academia is dysfunctional. Brennan and Magness show the problems are worse than anyone realized. Academics have only themselves to blame.
>Hindu Scriptures, the contributions of sages who visualized the ultimate principles through their intuitive power (rtambhara prajna), successfully unfold the science of daivi sampat (divine propriety) as a way out of the baneful influences of materialism. The author of this book represents those who attach more importance to the divine fibre in mankind than the outward phenomenon of prosperity. This bold exposition of the truth might arise reactions in modern Indologists in India and abroad, but at the same time compels the reader to see that the modern world at present is suffering from prosperity and not from poverty. But then all this cannot be challenged now because author is no more in this world and his thoughts remain his last words on this subject.

>The Western world is in eclipse, after a long epoch of decay. Yet the West is ever more optimistic. Under U.S. leadership, a diseased corpse, with an outward façade covering the rotting pestilence, and falsely labelled ‘Western way of life’, looms over the world in the name of ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights’, bombing into submission where the blandishments of loans, cultural perversity, and techno-junk don’t succeed in subverting reticent nations. We are assured that this is ‘the American century’, that ‘America is exceptional’, and since its founding has had a world mission to create in its own image – godlike – a ‘new order of the ages’ – the motto on the U.S. Great Seal; now called ‘the new world order’ and ‘globalisation’. This universal utopia which is marketed as the culmination of all human striving, is called by its spokesmen such as Francis Fukuyama, ‘the end of history’, beyond which there is nothing more to achieve. Into this scenario steps Russia, the perennial outlaw, with her own world-mission, one of redeeming mankind; an outlook which she has maintained – ‘eternal Russia’ – whether under Czarism, ‘Bolshevism’, or ‘democracy’. Because Russia is the primary bulwark – the Katechon – against this nightmare scenario of global conformity, she is targeted for destruction on multiple levels. ‘Russia and the Fight Against Globalisation’ examines numerous aspects of Russia’s role as the bulwark against the ‘new world order’, and the possibilities of its redeeming character in helping to save Europe from walking along the path towards destruction.

>This book is a collection of essays written in response to the international financial crisis of 2008 and its aftereffects. The problem with most discussions of the crisis, Benoist notes, is that they focus on attempting to reform the present economic system in order to prevent such disasters from recurring. This is a mistake, he says, since the problem actually lies with the nature of the present-day form of international capitalism itself, a system which privileges the unbridled desires of the individual over the needs of the community; which protects the wealthy at the cost of the middle class and the poor; and which is causing so much suffering worldwide by making it easy for corporations in the richer countries to outsource their labour to other, disadvantaged ones, to the detriment of both. It is this system which must be questioned at its very foundations. Benoist holds both the Left and Right equally responsible for this situation, since the mainstream in both currents has come to unconditionally accept the idea that liberalism and globalised capitalism are not only the best, but the only desirable method of structuring economies in the world today. Meanwhile, the international financial system teeters on the brink, with American debt soaring and the euro on the verge of implosion. Benoist not only explores the roots of how this situation came about but also makes suggestions on what might be done about it. The current crisis is not simply a temporary one; it is the consequence of the logic of capital, which knows only one watchword: more! More profits, more goods, and more trade, even at the price of austerity measures which hit the poorest. Such a system cannot last forever.

>When you think of the Holocaust you always think of the Jews in the Third Reich - what is usually forgotten is the holocaust that was put into place in Poland. The Nazis were determined to destroy that country and all that it stood for - which makes Lukas' book definitely worth reading. It tells of the terrible events which took place in Poland. Before the war, Poland had possessed substantial minorities of Ukrainians, Byelorussians, Jews, Germans and Lithuanians. By the end of the war, many of these minorities had been almost wiped out. Even the Polish people had come under threat - from the very beginning of the invasion, Hitler's troops had attacked civilians, bombing and strafing. In August 22 1939, Hitler had given the order to kill 'without pity or mercy all men, women, and children of Polish descent or language. Only in this way can we obtain the living space we need.' In those early days, thousands of people were killed. 714 executions took the lives of 16,376 people. Lukas charts the saga of this holocaust, alongside a retelling of the civilian resistance and collaboration, the military underground that was formed and the links between Poles and Jews, culminating in the great Warsaw uprising. This is a story which deserves greater publicity, a tragedy of which few are aware. It makes sober, but irresistible reading ideal for anyone interested in the Second World War, its social and military history.

>This book investigates differences between East and West in connection with the preservation of traditional principles, with a special view to envisioning how such differences affect the possibilities for the restitution of such principles in each domain. Special attention is given to various aberrant 'spiritualities' in the West, and how they might be overcome by reference to teachinigs still extant in the East, and a rejuvenation of what remains in the West of organisations retaining at least a core of the metaphysical teachings that were in full bloom in the medieval West.

>Since its publication in 1967, Burden of Empire has been widely praised and criticized for its controversial approach to the problem of colonialism in Africa. The authors have challenged the new "orthodoxy" about Africa—the belief that little but evil and exploitation has resulted from the era of European colonialism. Burden of Empire is, therefore, in the words of George Shepperson, "a provocative thesis [which] could set off a controversy among historians similar to that engendered by Robinson's and Gallagher's Africa and the Victorians."

>Saturn Rising is a talismanic grimoire promoting the veneration, worship and pursuit of death in all its formless glory, whether manifesting as death-as-ending, death-as-change, or death-as-rebirth. While it may appear that creation and destruction are the two ends of a very broad spectrum, this work serves to guide the reader to the understanding that they are but two sides of a very thin coin, remaining forever inseparable. In order to create a work of art, we must first destroy a virgin canvas. Before we are able to compose a piece of music, we must likewise destroy the sanctity of silence. When we choose to create more Life for ourselves, we must also understand how - and what it means - to Die.

>Party in the Street explores the interaction between political parties and social movements in the United States. Examining the collapse of the post-9/11 antiwar movement against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, this book focuses on activism and protest in the United States. It argues that the electoral success of the Democratic Party and President Barack Obama, as well as antipathy toward President George W. Bush, played a greater role in this collapse than did changes in foreign policy. It shows that how people identify with social movements and political parties matters a great deal, and it considers the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street as comparison cases.

>Yuval Taylor and Jake Austen investigate the complex history of black minstrelsy, adopted in the mid-nineteenth century by African American performers who played the grinning blackface fool to entertain black and white audiences. We now consider minstrelsy an embarrassing relic, but once blacks and whites alike saw it as a black art form—and embraced it as such. And, as the authors reveal, black minstrelsy remains deeply relevant to popular black entertainment, particularly in the work of contemporary artists like Dave Chappelle, Flavor Flav, Spike Lee, and Lil Wayne. Darkest America explores the origins, heyday, and present-day manifestations of this tradition, exploding the myth that it was a form of entertainment that whites foisted on blacks, and shining a sure-to-be controversial light on how these incendiary performances can be not only demeaning but also, paradoxically, liberating.

>What rights govern heterosexual and homosexual behaviors? Two distinguished philosophers debate this important issue in Sexual Orientation and Human Rights. Laurence Thomas argues that a society which has the constitutional resources to protect hate groups can protect homosexuals without valorizing the homosexual life-style. He defends the view that the Bible cannot warrant the venom that, in the name of religion, is often expressed against homosexuals. Michael Levin defends the unorthodox view that the aversion some people experience toward homosexuality deserves respect. He further argues that while homosexuals enjoy the same rights as others to be free of violence and discrimination, they do not have more extensive rights.

>"Modern man fears not the unknown, but the known that he fails to honor, the known against which he fears he cannot measure."
>The world is on fire. Everything you know—or thought you knew—is being destroyed before your eyes. Culture is perverted, nations are subverted, and reality itself is being warped through nonstop gaslighting. In a world where you can't trust governments, the police, or even your own countrymen to take your side, you are the only man you can rely upon. But how do you carve your own path when you've been trained from birth to be an observer, a consumer, a swine eating the slop poured out for you?
>Masculinity Amidst Madness has the answer. Rooted in philosophy, history, and his own life experiences, Ryan Landry's first book is a discussion of the world we're living in, the future laid out for us, and how you can become a man capable of thriving in the chaos to come.

>Until just a few years ago, gender dysphoria—severe discomfort in one’s biological sex—was vanishingly rare. It was typically found in less than .01 percent of the population, emerged in early childhood, and afflicted males almost exclusively.
>But today whole groups of female friends in colleges, high schools, and even middle schools across the country are coming out as “transgender.” These are girls who had never experienced any discomfort in their biological sex until they heard a coming-out story from a speaker at a school assembly or discovered the internet community of trans “influencers.”
>Unsuspecting parents are awakening to find their daughters in thrall to hip trans YouTube stars and “gender-affirming” educators and therapists who push life-changing interventions on young girls—including medically unnecessary double mastectomies and puberty blockers that can cause permanent infertility.
>Abigail Shrier, a writer for the Wall Street Journal, has dug deep into the trans epidemic, talking to the girls, their agonized parents, and the counselors and doctors who enable gender transitions, as well as to “detransitioners”—young women who bitterly regret what they have done to themselves.
>Coming out as transgender immediately boosts these girls’ social status, Shrier finds, but once they take the first steps of transition, it is not easy to walk back. She offers urgently needed advice about how parents can protect their daughters.
>A generation of girls is at risk. Abigail Shrier’s essential book will help you understand what the trans craze is and how you can inoculate your child against it—or how to retrieve her from this dangerous path.
1939 - The War That Had Many Fathers
by Gerd Schultze-Rhonhof
The author's research leads to some surprising conclusions. Documents from foreign ministries, and notes and memoranda from British, French, Italian and American leaders, ministers, diplomats and military commanders, prove that quite a number of countries were involved in instigating World War II. Interconnections, hitherto overlooked, are made clear.
Gerd Schultze-Rhonhof (born 26 May 1939) is a German author and former Generalmajor in the German Army of the Bundeswehr, who, like Udo Walendy, also disputes Germany's guilt for the Second World War.

>Sex. Life. Death. What is it that drives us toward sex, fuels life, and makes death inevitable? …as it turns out, it’s the same thing: Testosterone.
>Not only does testosterone fuel the passion for reproduction and play a critical role in the length of our lives, it is an integral component to the mechanism of human civilization—its triumphs and its tragedies. In order to understand the forces that drive the life cycles of human cultures and that form the engine of history, The Testosterone Hypothesis goes to the most fundamental building blocks of human neuroscience. Our hormones are the impetus for our history.
>This groundbreaking research proposes that the profound transformations in social mood that bring the rise and fall of civilizations are caused by biological cycles and directed by hormones. Hormones regulate and control the way the human mind perceives the world, understands the nature of the good, and forms social organizations and political orders accordingly.
>At a time when the course of civilization seems to be more uncertain than ever, driven toward pessimism and even despair, it is enlightening to take a new multi-disciplinary approach to studying the history of Western civilization. Overthrowing the conventional, reductionist approach to science by integrating different disciplines—from evolution, biology, neuroscience, and psychology to the history and philosophy of Western civilization—we can reach a new understanding of the human mind and of our civilization as a complex, adaptive, living system. To subdue the animalistic impulses that motivate our actions means to be guided by rational thought rather than primordial instincts and behavior: this will propel man to the next leap forward in human evolution.
>Our civilization is aging into a pathological state of depression. The insights of The Testosterone Hypothesis can guide us to solutions with which we can restore the vibrant mindset that built the modern world.

>In the past few years, trust in traditional media has reached new lows. Many Americans disbelieve what they hear from the "mainstream media," and have turned to getting information from media echo chambers which are reflective of a single party or ideology. In this book, Paul Matzko reveals that this is not the first such moment in modern American history.
>The Radio Right tells the story of the 1960s far Right, who were frustrated by what they perceived to be liberal bias in the national media, particularly the media's sycophantic relationship with the John F. Kennedy administration. These people turned for news and commentary to a resurgent form of ultra-conservative mass media: radio. As networks shifted their resources to television, radio increasingly became the preserve of cash-strapped, independent station owners who were willing to air the hundreds of new right-wing programs that sprang up in the late 1950s and 1960s. By the early 1960s, millions of Americans listened each week to conservative broadcasters, the most prominent of which were clergy or lay broadcasters from across the religious spectrum, including Carl McIntire, Billy James Hargis, and Clarence Manion. Though divided by theology, these speakers were united by their distrust of political and theological liberalism and their antipathy towards JFK. The political influence of the new Radio Right quickly became apparent as the broadcasters attacked the Kennedy administration's policies and encouraged grassroots conservative activism on a massive scale.
>Matzko relates how, by 1963, Kennedy was so alarmed by the rise of the Radio Right that he ordered the Internal Revenue Service and Federal Communications Commission to target conservative broadcasters with tax audits and enhanced regulatory scrutiny via the Fairness Doctrine. Right-wing broadcasters lost hundreds of stations and millions of listeners. Not until the deregulation of the airwaves under the Carter and Reagan administrations would right-wing radio regain its former prominence. The Radio Right provides the essential pre-history for the last four decades of conservative activism, as well as the historical context for current issues of political bias and censorship in the media.

Excellent, thank you very much.
I have a book I am looking for, and it is called:
"Stalinist Values: The Cultural Norms of Soviet Modernity, 1917–1941"
The blurb reads as follows:
>Soviet official culture underwent a dramatic shift in the mid-1930s, when Stalin and his fellow leaders began to promote conventional norms, patriarchal families, tsarist heroes, and Russian literary classics. For Leon Trotsky―and many later commentators―this apparent embrace of bourgeois values marked a betrayal of the October Revolution and a retreat from socialism. In the first book to address these developments fully, David L. Hoffmann argues that, far from reversing direction, the Stalinist leadership remained committed to remaking both individuals and society―and used selected elements of traditional culture to bolster the socialist order. Melding original archival research with new scholarship in the field, Hoffmann describes Soviet cultural and behavioural norms in such areas as leisure activities, social hygiene, family life, and sexuality. He demonstrates that the Soviet state's campaign to effect social improvement by intervening in the lives of its citizens was not unique but echoed the efforts of other European governments, both fascist and liberal, in the interwar period. Indeed, in Europe, America, and Stalin's Russia, governments sought to inculcate many of the same values―from order and efficiency to sobriety and literacy. For Hoffmann, what remains distinctive about the Soviet case is the collectivist orientation of official culture and the degree of coercion the state applied to pursue its goals.

>Richard Lynn was born in 1930, the illegitimate son of geneticist Sydney Harland, and raised by his mother Ann in London and Bristol. Despite a wartime childhood disrupted by evacuation to the north of England, he attended the prestigious Bristol Grammar School and won a scholarship to King's College, Cambridge. His early academic career was spent in Exeter and Dublin, after which he was appointed Professor of Psychology at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. It was here that he developed the theories on intelligence that would make him one of the more controversial psychologists of the late 20th century.
>Lynn describes his work, and that of his numerous contemporaries, many of whom became colleagues and close friends. He intersperses the account of his academic life with reflections on important world events and personalities, as well as entertaining insights in to his personal and family affairs over the course of 90 years and 3 marriages.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Axis-Alliance-Japanese-American-Relations-1941-ebook/dp/B074F31BNQ/
>The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 is remembered by Americans as something like a bolt out of the blue, a sneak attack from an irrational enemy. The truth, however, is that the Japanese attack was preceded by six months of intense diplomatic negotiations between the Japanese and the Americans.
>In The Axis Alliance and Japanese-American Relations, historian Paul Schroeder reviews the course of these negotiations. Of particular interest to Schroeder is the role that Japan’s Tripartite Pact with fascist Italy and Nazi Germany played in the negotiations.
>Schroeder shows that Japan, far from entering an alliance for world domination with Hitler, viewed the pact as an opportunity to secure its interests while avoiding a war with the U.S. and how, when the Pact became a liability in Japan’s negotiations with America, the Japanese were quick to downplay their dedication to it and its importance in their policies. Schroeder also observes the other primary issues at stake in the negotiations—Japan’s war with China and its expansionary intentions in the Pacific—and discusses how American diplomacy wasted many opportunities to not only avoid war in the Pacific, but secure concessions from Japan.
>This book, a scholarly reconsideration of American policy leading up to the war, is notable for its balance and accuracy and for its revisionist conclusions that are wholly supportable by the facts.

>Between 1939-1941, from the time that Germany invaded Poland until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Americans engaged in a debate as intense as any in U.S. history. In Storm on the Horizon, prominent historian Justus D. Doenecke analyzes the personalities, leading action groups, and major congressional debates surrounding the decision to participate in World War II. Doenecke is the first scholar to place the anti-interventionist movement in a wider framework, by focusing on its underlying military, economic, and geopolitical assumptions. Doenecke addresses key questions such as: how did the anti-interventionists perceive the ideology, armed potential, and territorial aspirations of Germany, the British Empire, Japan, and the Soviet Union? To what degree did they envision Nazi Germany as a bulwark against the Soviet Union? What role would the U.S. play in a world increasingly composed of competing economic blocs and military alliances? Storm on the Horizon is certain to become the standard study of this tumultuous time and will require readers to reevaluate their understanding of the United States entry into World War II.
‘Pursuing his investigations of high financial fraud, international banking, hidden systems of finance, black budgets and breakaway civilizations, author and researcher Joseph P. Farrell continues his examination of the post-war Nazi International, an “extra-territorial state” without borders or capitals, a network of terrorists, drug runners, and people in the very heights of financial power willing to commit financial fraud in amounts totaling trillions of dollars. Breakaway civilizations, black budgets, secret technology, occult rituals, international terrorism, giant corporate cartels, patent law and the hijacking of nature: it’s all in this book where Farrell explores what he calls ‘the business model’ of the post-war Axis elite. It is Farrell at his best―uncovering the gargantuan financial fraud and hidden technology of the breakaway civilization.’

>Elected an unprecedented four times to the presidency, Franklin D. Roosevelt led the United States through some of the most dramatic and trying foreign and domestic episodes in its history. Coming to power in the throws of a crippling depression, Roosevelt quickly found himself having to juggle the need for tremendous domestic revitalization in a world menaced by burgeoning aggressor states. In Debating Franklin D. Roosevelt's Foreign Policies, noted historians Justus D. Doenecke and Mark A. Stoler offer differing perspectives on the Roosevelt years, finding disparate meanings from common data.
>Finding Roosevelt astute at choosing the most effective option of those available, Stoler generally defends FDR's policies against their traditional critics. Conversely, Doenecke emphasizes a dangerous shallowness and superficiality in FDR's approach to foreign affairs, particularly in his first two terms. The contrary viewpoints of the authors, supplemented by carefully chosen documents, provide an ideal introduction allowing readers to examine the issues and draw their own conclusions about Franklin Roosevelt's foreign policy.

>Europe, 1940. Years of rising tension have finally given way to a global catastrophe. Millions mobilize for what would become the most massive and devastating conflict in human history. Great Britain, with a sprawling Empire to protect against the seemingly-unstoppable Axis Powers, is on the defensive.
>Returning to his home country just months earlier is Peter Kemp. Kemp was a young law student who volunteered to fight for the Nationalists against the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War. Although seriously injured during that conflict, Kemp’s extensive irregular warfare experience and enormous bravery brought him to the attention of the elite British Special Operations Executive. After a brief time as a commando raider Kemp is thrust into the chaotic world of espionage and guerilla warfare, parachuting behind enemy lines into the Balkans and later Poland. His duties forced him to fight through an intricate maze of alliances, rivalries, and betrayals among the anti-Axis guerrillas, eventually leading him to imprisonment by his Soviet “allies” in a dungeon outside of Moscow.
>Kemp published his story in 1959, one of only a few to detail firsthand this rarely-explored corner of Second Wold War. Although out of print for decades, this paperback and ebook rerelease allows a new generation of readers to enjoy Kemp's thrilling and important work.

>Congress is crippled by ideological conflict. The political parties are more polarized today than at any time since the Civil War. Americans disagree, fiercely, about just about everything, from terrorism and national security, to taxes and government spending, to immigration and gay marriage.
>Well, American elites disagree fiercely. But average Americans do not. This, at least, was the position staked out by Philip Converse in his famous essay on belief systems, which drew on surveys carried out during the Eisenhower Era to conclude that most Americans were innocent of ideology. In Neither Liberal nor Conservative, Donald Kinder and Nathan Kalmoe argue that ideological innocence applies nearly as well to the current state of American public opinion. Real liberals and real conservatives are found in impressive numbers only among those who are deeply engaged in political life. The ideological battles between American political elites show up as scattered skirmishes in the general public, if they show up at all.
>If ideology is out of reach for all but a few who are deeply and seriously engaged in political life, how do Americans decide whom to elect president; whether affirmative action is good or bad? Kinder and Kalmoe offer a persuasive group-centered answer. Political preferences arise less from ideological differences than from the attachments and antagonisms of group life.

>Over the past 50 years politicians and educators have tried many programs to close the racial gap in American educational achievement. These have included vouchers, adding more teachers, the “No Child Left Behind” Act,” and the “Common Core Standards Initiative.” But none of these expensive and burdensome programs has worked. In spite of great effort and vast sums of money, Black and Latino students continue to lag behind White and East Asian students. Why?
>In this new book, a California businessman who has devoted years of research and thought to this question provides an answer, and a solution.
>Taking a close look at these often well-intentioned efforts, Robert Walters shows that they all failed because they have been based on the false premise that student achievement is due entirely to socialization, upbringing and environment.
>He assembles impressive and compelling evidence from a wide range of reputable sources to show that success in academic life, like achievement in other areas, is significantly set by heredity. Politicians of both major parties, along with prominent educators, are in denial about biological reality.
>This book has earned praise from Kevin MacDonald, a retired professor of psychology at California State University, Long Beach. “This is a very readable, well-researched book,” says MacDonald, “that provides a much needed corrective to the liberal/left zeitgeist that unfortunately dominates the intellectual and moral high ground throughout the West.”
>Rather than continuing to pursue the fantasy of preparing all young Americans for college or university, the author quite reasonably proposes that those who are not able to succeed in a rigorous academic program should be trained for other positions that are needed in today’s economy (and which are often very well paid!) – plumbers, electricians, machinery operators, computer technicians, and so forth. Academic learning is not for everyone, nor should it be.

>Abraham Lincoln was widely and deeply unpopular during his presidency. And for good reason.
>He overturned our original constitutional order, violated the rights of Americans both North and South, massively inflated the federal government, and plunged the nation into a wholly unnecessary war. Why? Not to free the slaves, as his hagiographers would have you believe, but out of personal ambition, greed for power, and, incidentally, to enrich the railroad interests that supported his political career.
>Court historians have turned King Lincoln into a secular saint, but what did Abraham Lincoln’s contemporaries know that has been forgotten or covered up? Bestselling author Thomas J. DiLorenzo debunks the pious myths to reveal the real Lincoln.
>In The Problem with Lincoln, you’ll learn:
> *Why Lincoln was willing to accept a constitutional amendment guaranteeing slavery forever
> *Why no American in 1861, Northerner or Southerner, believed that Lincoln had invaded the South to emancipate the slaves
> *Why secession doesn’t fit the Constitution’s definition of treason—but Lincoln’s war on the South does
> *Lincoln’s greatest failure: not ending slavery peacefully, as the rest of the world managed to do

>For traditionalists, the conservative ascendency of the 1980s turned out to be a major disappointment. With the triumph of multiculturalism and political correctness, liberalism seemed to move from strength to strength. Still, a stout number of southern conservative writers plunged forward, and their themes of populism, immigration, and cultural integrity are seeing a contemporary resurgence. Discussing a wide array of authors who worked in a variety of genres, Joseph Scotchie celebrates those unreconstructed champions who fought the culture wars of their times with a special learning and vigor. Also included in this collection are creative artists who kept the flame of literature alive, providing visions of possibilities that only genre can provide.

>Losing Control is a vivid history of the past half century of immigration politics and policy. It is also a dramatic ground-level account of how the story took shape. Kammer describes the economic and cultural forces that both pushed millions of migrants from home communities in Latin America and pulled them northward to the US.
>He shows how the backlash gradually emerged from the frustrations of American workers and communities who felt overwhelmed by the influx and betrayed by their government.
>Kammer also explains the Democrats abandonment of their historic commitment to control illegal immigration. And he details how Republicans placated corporate interests by allowing workplace controls to fail. Meanwhile, both parties sought to appease the public by spending billions on border security. Finally, he suggests new reforms that would honor our dual legacy as a country of immigrants and a country of laws.

>Does biology help explain why women, on average, earn less money than men? Is there any evolutionary basis for the scarcity of female CEOs in Fortune 500 companies? According to Kingsley Browne, the answer may be yes.
>Biology at Work brings an evolutionary perspective to bear on issues of women in the workplace: the "glass ceiling," the "gender gap" in pay, sexual harassment, and occupational segregation. While acknowledging the role of discrimination and sexist socialization, Browne suggests that until we factor real biological differences between men and women into the equation, the explanation remains incomplete.
>Browne looks at behavioral differences between men and women as products of different evolutionary pressures facing them throughout human history. Womens biological investment in their offspring has led them to be on average more nurturing and risk averse, and to value relationships over competition. Men have been biologically rewarded, over human history, for displays of strength and skill, risk taking, and status acquisition. These behavioral differences have numerous workplace consequences. Not surprisingly, sex differences in the drive for status lead to sex differences in the achievement of status.
>Browne argues that decision makers should recognize that policies based on the assumption of a single androgynous human nature are unlikely to be successful. Simply removing barriers to inequality will not achieve equality, as women and men typically value different things in the workplace and will make different workplace choices based on their different preferences.
>Rather than simply putting forward the "nature" side of the debate, Browne suggests that dichotomies such as nature/nurture have impeded our understanding of the origins of human behavior. Through evolutionary biology we can understand not only how natural selection has created predispositions toward certain types of behavior but also how the social environment interacts with these predispositions to produce observed behavioral patterns.

>Few reputations have undergone so dramatic a reversal as that of the late Sir Cyril Burt. When he died in 1971 he was widely acclaimed as a founding father of British psychology and a commanding figure in the world of education. His decline began when it was alleged, some five years later, that he had fraudulently invented much of his most influential data on the inheritance of intelligence. The dispute which followed is one of the great causes célèbres of psychology.
>Robert B. Joynson takes a penetrating new look at the 'Burt Affair,' examining in detail the grounds on which Burt has been accused. He concludes that the accusations are ill-founded and that Burt must be exonerated.
>Dr. Joynson's conclusions raise wider issues for psychology itself. How did such accusations come to be made, and how did they come to be so widely accepted? Joynson believes that the episode points to inherent weaknesses and limitations in the discipline of psychology itself.

>When I first weighed in upon the New York Times’ 1619 Project, I was struck by its conflicted messaging. Comprising an entire magazine feature and a sizable advertising budget, the newspaper’s initiative conveyed a serious attempt to engage the public in an intellectual exchange about the history of slavery in the United States and its lingering harms to our social fabric. It also seemed to avoid the superficiality of many public history initiatives, which all too often reduce over 400 complex years of slavery’s history and legacy to sweeping generalizations. Instead, the Times promised detailed thematic explorations of topics ranging from the first slave ship’s arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619 to the politics of race in the present day.
>At the same time, however, certain 1619 Project essayists infused this worthy line of inquiry with a heavy stream of ideological advocacy. Times reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones announced this political intention openly, pairing progressive activism with the initiative’s stated educational purposes.
>In assembling these essays, I make no claim of resolving what continues to be a vibrant and ongoing discussion. Neither should my work be viewed as the final arbiter of historical accuracy, though I do evaluate a number of factual and interpretive claims made by the project’s authors. Rather, the aim is to provide an accessible resource for readers wishing to navigate the scholarly disputes, offering my own interpretive take on claims pertaining to areas of history in which I have worked.

>When wish replaces thought: why so much of what you believe is false
https://archive.org/details/inevitabilityofp00gold
>Goldberg reviews literature, gathering evidence from expert witnesses (both primary and secondary sources) to demonstrate that each of three distinct patterns of recognised human social behaviour (institutions) has been observed in every known society. He proposes that these three universal institutions, attested as they are across independent cultures, suggest a simple psychophysiological cause, since physiology remains constant, as do the institutions, even across variable cultures—a universal phenomenon suggests a universal explanation.
>The institutions Goldberg examines and claims to be universal among all known societies are patriarchy (men dominating higher hierarchical positions), male attainment (activities which provide higher status are related to male physiology) and male dominance (cultural expectation of male leadership and control). The hypothetical psychophysiological phenomenon he proposes to explain them, he denotes by the expression differentiation of dominance tendency. He explains this refers to dominance behaviour being more easily elicited from men on average than from women on average. In other words, he theorises a biologically mediated difference in preferences.
>Goldberg next provides expert witnesses from several disciplines regarding correlations between behaviour and the hormone testosterone, which are known to be causative in several cases, including dominance preference. He concludes with the hypothesis that testosterone is a necessary (but not sufficient) condition for the development of the institutions he examined. In other words, without testosterone, the institutions would not develop—it must be part (but not all) of an explanation for their universality.
>Finally, Goldberg proposes that if patriarchy is indeed biologically based, it will prove to be inevitable; unless a society is willing to intervene biologically on the male physiology.

>Why do some people have higher IQs than others? Why do some groups score higher average than others? Why do some countries seem to have higher average than others? Are the tests culturally biased? Are the tests worthwhile at all, or should they be abolished? These are all highly charged questions, and these days we often get extremely emotional about them. To dispel the confusion, Daniel Seligman offers us this bracing defense of IQ testing. Many Americans, however, may be troubled by this book's controversial and unavoidable message: that people are in fact born with unequal mental abilities. Carefully researched and powerfully argued, A Question of Intelligence reports that in weighing nature vs. nurture, it is mostly nature that accounts for differences in intelligence. What we inherit translates later into career and financial successes - and inequalities. And since America is in critical respects a meritocracy, IQ scores explain a lot about why some people gravitate to the top, while others go through life with limited opportunities. Threading his way through a cluster of quarrels about IQ, Seligman tells us why most experts (psychologists, educators, researchers) believe the tests do measure "intelligence" and are not culturally biased. In the midst of a social and political minefield, he addresses the sensitive but inescapable subject of ethnic and national differences in IQ and outlines the connection between IQ levels and economic achievement. He proposes that banning the tests will work against the interests of school children: we must still make decisions about our kids - which ones need remedial reading courses, for example, and which ones qualify for advanced programs - and those decisions will be better if informed by IQ testing. Seligman even takes an IQ test himself along the way, and sends back a lively account of the experience. The realities of the entire IQ controversy have almost always been at odds with the media's reports. Now A Question of Intelligence sets the record straight, putting this fiery debate to the test in crystal-clear, comprehensible terms. It is a bold and crucial book for every American who wants to understand what is at stake - and why intelligence matters.

>In The Social Consequences of Modern Psychology Eysenck takes the position that social science has real substance, and its findings ought to be applicable to social problems of our times. Although there is little that scientists can do about war and its prevention, or about social unrest and upheaval, or about strikes and other confrontations, there are a number of questions to which we can give tentative answers. This book deals with some of these questions, and finds some of the answers.Eysenck begins with a look at a paradox of modern psychology. Experimental psychologists use strictly scientific methods to investigate what to many people seem trivial and sterile problems, yet some social psychologists, psychiatrists and psychoanalysts investigate what are clearly important and socially relevant problems, but use methods and theories whose scientific rigor is doubtful at best. This paradox is artificial and unnecessary. Methods of investigation and theories and concepts enable us to combine worthwhile problems and rigorous methods. The book takes a long look at a particular problem which Eysenck investigated in depth during his illustrious lifetime. This tour de force, by one of the magisterial figures of modern psychology, is written for people as well as about people. It is not a rehash of the voluminous writings of lawyers, poets, politicians, dramatists, historians, psychiatrists and others who have felt compelled to write about these psychological matters without even a smattering of psychological knowledge. It is, instead, based on empirical investigations that are too often declared to be nonexistent by publicists and politicos.

Postmortem Report invites us to reassess the European past, from Antiquity to Modernity, through the lenses of a cultural pessimist. This collection of essays and translations will appeal to anyone who wishes for an honest, surgical approach to these topics, freed from the liberal academic agenda. He has discovered a dark plot to seize control of the flow of information, and utilize that power to its full extent - to censor, manipulate, and ultimately sway the outcome of democratic elections. His network of whistleblowers inside Google, Facebook and other companies explain how the tech giants now see themselves as "good censors," benevolent commissars controlling the information we receive to "protect" us from "dangerous" speech. They reveal secret methods to covertly manipulate online information without us ever being aware of it, explaining how tech companies can use big data to target undecided voters. They lift the lid on a plot four years in the making - a plot to use the power of technology to stop Donald Trump's re-election.

>Beginning with Heidegger is an in-depth examination of the influence that Martin Heidegger's inceptual thought exerted on Leo Strauss, Richard Rorty, Jacques Derrida and Alexander Dugin. How did these vastly different thinkers employ Heideggerian concepts to define their own philosophies and often antagonistic politics? After outlining Heidegger's main philosophical points, it discusses attacks on and the misuse of Heidegger's ideas to advance Rorty's left-leaning and liberal political agenda as well as the different interpretations that Strauss and Heidegger offer regarding Plato's notion of the Good.
>It also looks at the existential rebirth in Russia that Heidegger's groundbreaking theories and Dugin's extension of them made possible. The role of Heidegger's notion of "Dasein" is the key to a Eurasian awakening for not just one but for many peoples of the heartland. In this respect, both Heidegger and Dugin seem to be the lights that guide a people without a philosophy into a destiny filled with meaning and identity.
>The book calls for the incorporation of Heidegger's thinking into the field of political philosophy and cautions against the distorting effects of our prevailing political prejudices.

Psychopathology and Politics (1930) as a Bonus

>In recent years, popular wisdom has held that opening American markets to Chinese goods was the best way to promote democracy in Beijing—that the Communist Party's grip would quickly weaken as increasingly affluent Chinese citizens embraced American values.
>That popular wisdom was wrong. As Eamonn Fingleton shows in this devastating book, instead of America changing China, China is changing America. Although this process of reverse convergence has been swept largely under the carpet by knee-jerk globalists in the American press, Americans will soon be hearing much more about it. Nowhere is the pattern more obvious than in business. Many top American corporations—Boeing, AT&T, the Detroit automobile companies, among them-openly collaborate with the Chinese Communist Party. In a stunning rejection of Western values, Yahoo! even provided the Chinese secret police with vital evidence that resulted in a ten-year jail sentence for one of its Chinese subscribers, a brave young dissident, under draconian censorship laws. Selling the American national interest short, countless other corporations abjectly do Beijing's lobbying in Congress.
>This book-the culmination of twenty years of study-also breaks new ground by revealing the secret behind China's phenomenal savings rate. Top leaders literally force the Chinese people to save through a highly counterintuitive-and, to ordinary citizens, virtually invisible-policy called suppressed consumption. This practice, which is to economics roughly what steroids are to sport, is fundamentally incompatible with Western ideas of fair global competition. It is reinforced by an Orwellian system of political control that, as Fingleton reveals, utilizes an ancient bureaucratic tool called selective enforcement-a form of blackmail that instills a silent reign of terror throughout Chinese society. Most worryingly, selective enforcement can readily be unleashed on any American corporation with interests in China-which is to say just about every member of the Fortune 500.
>While the Chinese people's rising affluence is, of course, an occasion for wholehearted rejoicing, Uncle Sam should give the Chinese power system a wide berth—lest he catch his coattails in the jaws of a dragon.

>Establishment historians characterize National Socialist Germany as a uniquely barbaric, vile and criminal regime that was totally responsible for starting World War II and carrying out some of the most heinous war crimes in world history. Germany's War by John Wear refutes this characterization of Germany, bringing history into accord with the facts. Germany's War documents that the Allied leaders of the Soviet Union, Great Britain and the United States were primarily responsible for starting and prolonging World War II-costing million of lives. Far from being the conqueror of Europe, Adolf Hitler saved it from Stalin. The leaders of Great Britain and America also adopted policies designed to force war with Germany. Britain's unconditional guarantee to Poland led to horrific acts of violence against Poland's ethnic Germans and, thus, Germany was forced to invade Poland to end these atrocities. Franklin Roosevelt's numerous provocations, including a shoot-on-sight policy against German shipping and leaked plans of a U.S. invasion of Germany, forced Germany to declare war on the U.S. despite Hitler's desire for peace. This book also reports the Allied mass murder of the German people after the end of World War II during which the Allies-led by General Dwight D. Eisenhower-murdered approximately 1.5 million German prisoners of war through intentional starvation and exposure to the elements. Probably a minimum 2.1 million ethnic Germans expelled from their homes also died in what was supposed to be an "orderly and humane" relocation. Finally, the Allies murdered millions of additional Germans through intentional starvation after the war ended-plus much, much more.

>"This is a declaration of war. In the name of our creator, we declare a revolutionary war against both the gods and those titans who were gods before them! In the name of our liberator, we declare a revolutionary war against fatalism and every other form of tyranny! We think from out of the end of all things, with an indomitable will to achieve either victory or a martyrdom that inspires enduring rebellion in those to whom we pass the torch of our example."
>So begins this incendiary work of Philosophy, in which Jason Reza Jorjani returns to the spectral trajectory of Prometheus and Atlas (Arktos 2016). Here Jorjani advocates embracing a Promethean ethos as we face the prospect of the end of humanity, the end of history, and the end of reality beyond the event horizon of the technological Singularity. "Prometheism," a contraction of Prometheus and Theism, offers a new metaphysics, epistemology, aesthetics, ethics, and politics to those with the vision and will to spearhead an evolutionary revolution into a new Promethean age that supersedes modernity.
>In this book, Jorjani also calls the Prometheist partisan to rebel against the cynical, self-proclaimed elite of a Breakaway Civilization whose machinations threaten to forcibly regress humanity to a pre-industrial state of society before the advent of the Singularity. He argues that instead of submitting to this patronizing occultation of science and technology, we should build a socio-political order capable of enduring the most radical developments in Parapsychology, Genetic Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology, and Zero Point Energy (together with its potential for affording us the ability to Time Travel). In Jorjani's view, understanding and thereby more consciously controlling the spectral force of Prometheus, as an archetype and egregore, is the key to masterfully navigating this apocalyptic crisis that we will face within the next thirty years.

The Patriot Game: National Dreams & Political Realities
>What's wrong with Canada? It is richer in resources on a per capita basis than the United States, spends much less on defense, and has no large underclass. Yet Canada's standard of living is only about 70% of its southern neighbor's and is probably headed lower. Peter Brimelow thinks he knows the answer. Canada's chronic underperformance, he writes in The Patriot Game, is the result of a tangle of pathologies in Canadian politics.

The Worm in the Apple: How the Teacher Unions Are Destroying American Education
>America is the richest nation in history, but ask young American students from whom their country won its independence, and the answers include Japan, China, and Canada. For decades our education standards have paled in comparison with those of other industrial and even Third World countries, while education costs have risen inexorably. The fact that our schools are in shambles has been the subject of endless debate, and the explanations have run the gamut: teachers are underpaid; students are undisciplined; teaching methods are wrong. But until now, no one has persuasively identified the root problem: the teacher unions.
>It is no coincidence that the thirty-year decline in U.S. K-12 education, and the simultaneous surge in education spending, began at the same time that the modern teacher unions were created. Today, the biggest union in the country is the National Education Association, which has nearly 3 million members. Its agenda is not to provide better teaching in schools; it is to provide more money and benefits for teachers – and, above all, for itself. It accomplishes this through collective bargaining muscle and by buying political influence. Even worse, the unions want to turn curriculum, textbooks, and grading standards into bargaining chips in labor negotiations.
>In this devastating critique, Peter Brimelow exposes the teacher unions for what they are: a political and economic monopoly that is choking the education system, like the "trusts" that put a stranglehold on American business a hundred years ago. Until the unions are held accountable, and public schools opened up to market forces, no education reform, no matter how worthy, will succeed. It is time, Brimelow convincingly argues, to bust the Teacher Trust.
>The Worm in the Apple paints an alarming picture of the bureaucratic parasite that has taken hold of our schools. It issues a clarion call to rescue students, parents, taxpayers and, not least, teachers – from its grip.

>Conservative Criminology serves as an important counterpoint to virtually every other academic text on crime. Hundreds of books have been written about crime and criminal justice policy from a variety of perspectives, including Marxist, liberal, progressive, feminist, radical, and post-modernist. To date, however, no book has been written outlining a conservative perspective on crime and criminal justice policy. Not a polemic against liberalism, Conservative Criminology nonetheless focuses on how liberal ideology affects the study of crime and criminals and the policies that criminologist advocate. Wright and DeLisi, both senior scholars, give a voice to a major political philosophy—a philosophy often demonized by academics—and to conservatives in the academic world. In the end, Conservative Criminology calls for an investment in intellectual diversity, a respect for varying political philosophies, and a renewed commitment to honesty in scholarship.
>The authors encourage debate in the profession about the proper role of ideology in the academy and in public policies on crime and justice. Conservative Criminology is for the criminal justice professional and student. It serves as a stimulating supplement to courses in criminology and criminal justice, as well as a primary text for special issues or capstone courses. This book supports the reader in recognizing ideological biases, whatever they might be, and in considering their own convictions.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Why-Borders-Matter-Humanity-Boundaries-ebook/dp/B088MLCJHN
>Western society has become estranged from the borders and social boundaries that have for centuries given meaning to human experience. This book argues that the controversy surrounding mass migration and physical borders runs in parallel and is closely connected to the debates surrounding the symbolic boundaries people need to guide on the issues of everyday life.
>Numerous commentators claim that borders have become irrelevant in the age of mass migration and globalisation. Some go so far as to argue for ‘No Borders’. And it is not merely the boundaries that divide nations that are under attack! The traditional boundaries that separate adults from children, or men from women, or humans from animals, or citizens and non-citizens, or the private from the public sphere are often condemned as arbitrary, unnatural, and even unjust. Paradoxically, the attempt to alter or abolish conventional boundaries coexists with the imperative of constructing new ones. No-Border campaigners call for safe spaces. Opponents of cultural appropriation demand the policing of language and advocates of identity politics are busy building boundaries to keep out would-be encroachers on their identity.
>Furedi argues that the key driver of the confusion surrounding borders and boundaries is the difficulty that society has in endowing experience with meaning. The most striking symptom of this trend is the cultural devaluation of the act of judgment, which has led to a loss of clarity about the moral boundaries in everyday life. The infantilisation of adults that runs in tandem with the adultification of children offers a striking example of the consequence of non-judgmentalism.
>Written in a clear and direct style, this book will appeal to students and scholars in cultural sociology, sociology of knowledge, philosophy, political theory, and cultural studies.

>Emotional intelligence is an important trait for success at work. IQ tests are biased against minorities. Every child is gifted. Preschool makes children smarter. Western understandings of intelligence are inappropriate for other cultures. These are some of the statements about intelligence that are common in the media and in popular culture. But none of them are true. In the Know is a tour of the most common incorrect beliefs about intelligence and IQ. Written in a fantastically engaging way, each chapter is dedicated to correcting a misconception and explains the real science behind intelligence. Controversies related to IQ will wither away in the face of the facts, leaving readers with a clear understanding about the truth of intelligence.

>Steven Goldberg has devoted his career to exposing fallacious reasoning, misrepresented fact, and ideological agendas in the social sciences. His scholarly critiques offer alternative, and sometimes controversial, explanations that are notable for their logical integrity and loyalty to empirical reality. Best known for his work in the physiological roots of sex differences, he has also written on a myriad of other subjects, which, as he bluntly states, "are as fallaciously reasoned in professional journals as in the cocktail party conversations that naively repeat the errors first propounded in those journals."
>In this new collection of essays he is as lively, interesting, and provocative as ever. Among the subjects addressed are the validity of intelligence tests, group differences, the death penalty, sex differences in aggression and cognition, the family, abortion, and the nature of modern society. Also included are a couple of polemics, observations on the O. J. Simpson trial, and a moving encomium to his hero, Jackie Robinson.
>Goldberg's work has been praised by reviewers as "persuasive and accurate"(Margaret Mead); "coolly, tightly, even brilliantly reasoned" (Morton Kaplan); and "the most significant . . . on the subject in decades" (Murray Rothbard). Readers who appreciate razor-sharp rigor and logical elegance will be richly rewarded by these essays on many of the most hotly contested issues of the social sciences.

With the publication of works by Carleton S. How can we make certain that our current rate of material progress is maintained or increased, that we do not fall into the graveyard of civilizations wherein are buried Periclean Greece, Imperial Rome, Post-Inquisition Spain, Islamic civilization and the monstrous Nazi regime?

Challenging De Gaulle: The O.A.S and the Counter-Revolution in Algeria, 1954-1962
This unique volume tells the story of the Algerian counterrevolution from the viewpoint of the ordinary foot soldier in the O.A.S. (Organisation Armee Secrete). In a series of interviews with former O.A.S. participants, and using many unpublished documents and personal diaries, Harrison examines the motives of these defenders of French Algeria. Were they criminals, sociopaths, or honorable men more sensitive to their country's fate than were many of their contemporaries? Harrison poses this question in the book's introduction and then seeks the answer with an objective eye.

>When Congress passed Title IX of the Civil Rights Act in 1972, they seemed to be doing something laudable and also long overdue—prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex in America’s schools. But thirty years later, a law designed to guarantee equal opportunity has become the most explicit, government-enforced quota regime in America, putting boys and men on the losing side of a battle for athletic and educational opportunity.
>A former athlete herself, Jessica Gavora interviewed dozens of leading college athletes, educators and legal experts for this provocative, yet carefully researched book. She argues that the 1999 World Cup victory of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team, for instance, widely seen as a Title IX triumph, was actually the result of a far more profound social revolution that has changed America’s mind about sexual roles and female destiny. If anything, Title IX has had a destructive overall effect on all college athletes by killing opportunities to compete. Gavora shows how Title IX sports quotas have caused chaos at schools like Brown University and led directly to the cancellation of some of the most prestigious men’s programs in the country—among them Providence College’s baseball team, Princeton’s wrestling team and the men’s swimming and diving program that produced several Olympic champions. But if Title IX has tilted the college playing field, Gavora suggests that its greatest impact on American social life may still lie ahead as the federal bureaucrats, activist judges, and radical feminists who have shaped the statute’s interpretation now seek to expand its reach into sexual harassment and other areas of education where boys and girls have to conform to their notion of “gender equity.”

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Transgender-Industrial-Complex-Scott-Howard-ebook/dp/B08PC39833/
>In his debut book, Nebraskan author Scott Howard exposes the actors financing the institutionalization of transgenderism. Behind the medical research into gender transitioning of children, ubiquitous pride parades, and Drag Queen Story Hours is a lot of money. Sex education, the homosexual and feminist precursor projects, and the global propaganda are all pushed and paid for by very wealthy and well-connected people with motive and will. Howard demonstrates that the transgender phenomenon is far from the “grass-roots movement” some of its advocates would have the public believe.
>Impeccably sourced and researched, The Transgender-Industrial Complex pulls the mask off the complex network of influential groups responsible for this inhuman project. Howard takes a deep dive into the murky depths of the Big Money behind Big Gay, exposing how the concept gained such recognition as well as the goals of the people behind it. At once wide-ranging and specific, advanced and accessible, The Transgender-Industrial Complex is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand why every institution with power, and a great many without, are uniform in their inversion of reality, their religion of lies, and their commitment to all that is ugly, broken, and foul.

>Race is our age's great taboo. Public intellectuals insist that it does not exist-that it's a "social construct" and biological differences between races are trivial or "skin deep." But as with taboos in other times, our attitude towards race seems delusional and schizophrenic. Racial differences in sports and culture are clear to everyone. Race is increasingly a factor in public health, especially in disease susceptibility and organ donation. And in a globalized world, ethnic nationalism-and ethnic conflict-are unavoidable political realities. Race is everywhere . . . and yet it's nowhere, since the topic has been deemed "out of bounds" for frank discussion.
>Cutting through the contradictions, euphemisms, and misconceptions, Edward Dutton carefully and systematically refutes the arguments against the concept of "race," demonstrating that it is as much a proper biological category as "species."Making Sense of Race takes us on a journey through the fascinating world of evolved physical and mental racial differences, presenting us with the most up-to-date discoveries on the consistent ways in which races differ in significant traits as a result of being adapted to different ecologies. Intelligence, personality, genius, religiousness, sex appeal, puberty, menopause, ethnocentrism, ear-wax, and even the nature of dreams . . . Making Sense of Race will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about race, but might have been afraid to ask.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/IQ-Means-Inequality-Population-History-ebook/dp/B08JV876QK/
>The exploitation of fossil fuels such as coal, oil or natural gas enabled the emergence of today's global industrial society. Cheap energy has led to an unprecedented increase in population to this day. Nevertheless, the democratic society of the West, which produced the welfare state, is in the process of destroying itself again. One reason for this is that the parties fighting for majorities are outdoing each other in promises. The actual reasons for this self-destruction, however, lie deeper: while in the ascendant phase of Western societies entrepreneurial forces did predominat, since about 1970 the striving for equality dominates the public debate. Today, not only are inherited differences in intelligence denied, but false incentives discourage the high-performing and encourage the low-performing. As a result, industrial societies are often no longer able to provide a sufficient number of highly qualified young people. At the same time, the cost of energy, the indispensable fuel of industrial society, is rising. In many places there is a lack of creative potential to counteract the emerging chaotic conditions. All these developments, so the central thesis of this book, must be seen in the context of their interactions: they are the expression of a lawful regulatory cycle that drives industrial society into a permanent crisis, which is accelerating intermittently and inexorably.

An ideological madness is grotesquely distorting North America's view of sexuality. The book applies sanity to the claims that men are natural rapists and our culture encourages sexual violence.
>Written by a libertarian feminist and rape survivor, Rape Culture Hysteria opens with a highly personal appeal to depoliticize rape and treat it instead as a crime. Victims need to heal. Politicizing their pain and rage is a callous political maneuver that harms victims, women and men.

>In Rise of the Black Serial Killers: Documenting a Startling Trend, Justin Cottrell expels the myth that serial killers in America are predominately white. On the contrary after sifting through a myriad of newspaper records and books, he’s compiled a list of murderers that is equal too or greater than the number of white serial killers from 1860 to present. Few if any have ever heard any of their names or stories, until now.
>Based on his findings white serial killers have been underrepresented throughout American history when compared to the percentage of the population they represent by a factor of 1.79 on average. On the other hand, black serial killers have been overrepresented 3 to 7 times their portion of the population, with a 150 year average of 4.44. Another startling trend he uncovered is black serial killers have never represented less than 30.23% of the number of serial killers in a given decade, despite their overall percentage of the population never exceeding 13.1%. This trend has steadily increased to the point that in our current decade they represent 77.27% of the number of serial killers apprehended since 2010, yet only account for 12.6% of the populace.
>Aside from trends, this book offers reasons most people assume black serial killers don’t exist—from the media prohibition on the subject, to general misunderstandings. Comparisons of the lack of media coverage on violent black crime are pitted against the over coverage of comparable white crimes. Coupled with this is a look into the various factors that breed serial killers, with a look into why black serial killers are on the rise, while white serial killers are on the decline.
>To prove his research is valid, a full list of every black serial killer is provided, along with a brief description of their crimes. In addition to this the biographies of 35 of these killers are given, with detailed information about their crimes.

>Everybody knows about the transatlantic slave trade, which saw black Africans snatched from their homes, taken across the Atlantic Ocean and then sold into slavery. However, a century before Britain became involved in this terrible business, whole villages and towns in England, Ireland, Italy, Spain and other European countries were being depopulated by slavers, who transported the men, women and children to Africa where they were sold to the highest bidder. This is the forgotten slave trade; one which saw over a million Christians forced into captivity in the Muslim world.
>Starting with the practice of slavery in the ancient world, Simon Webb traces the history of slavery in Europe, showing that the numbers involved were vast and that the victims were often treated far more cruelly than black slaves in America and the Caribbean. Castration, used very occasionally against black slaves taken across the Atlantic, was routinely carried out on an industrial scale on European boys who were exported to Africa and the Middle East. Most people are aware that the English city of Bristol was a major center for the transatlantic slave trade in the eighteenth century, but hardly anyone knows that 1,000 years earlier it had been an important staging-post for the transfer of English slaves to Africa.
>Reading this book will forever change how you view the slave trade and show that many commonly held beliefs about this controversial subject are almost wholly inaccurate and mistaken.

>The Western genre has long been associated with right-wing and libertarian politics, and is said to promote individualism and free-market economics. In a new look at the Western, however, Ryan McMaken shows that the Western is in fact often anti-capitalist, and in many ways, the genre attacks the dominant ideology of nineteenth-century America: classical liberalism.
>The classical Westerns of the mid-twentieth century often feature wealthy capitalist villains who oppress the cowardly and defenseless shopkeepers and farmers of the frontier. The gunfighter, a representative of the law and order provided by the nation-state, intervenes to provide safety and justice.
>In addition to attacks on capitalism, the Western attacks other prized values of the bourgeois middle classes including Christianity, education and urbanization.
>McMaken examines these themes as used in the films of John Ford, Anthony Mann, and Howard Hawks. These pioneers of the classical Westerns are then contrasted with later innovators such as Sergio Leone, Sam Peckinpah, and Clint Eastwood.
>Also included are discussions of the role of the LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE series, Victorian literature, and the nature of crime on the historical frontier.

>When two 7.5-mm rounds were shot point-blank into Gerald Bull's skull in March 1990, it was the end of a life that had begun with great promise and the beginning of a story that was to shock the world.
>Exactly who killed him was not known, but the real mystery was the man himself and his legacy.
>Born in Canada, Bull was the youngest person ever to receive a doctorate from the University of Toronto. His particular expertise was measuring the performance of objects in flight.
>In the 1960s, he was involved in a joint U.S-Canadian venture to develop huge guns capable of firing satellites into orbit, but his dream of doing so was forced to end when funding for the project was cancelled. Moving away from pure space research, he turned to designing artillery and shells…
>It was Bull who secretly designed the first Star Wars system, twenty years before Reagan announced his version.
>It was Bull who designed special shells for the Navy to bombard North Vietnam.
>In the late 1970s, the CIA encouraged Bull to build a new gun for the South Africans, despite the U.S. arms embargo.
>It was artillery designed by Bull that confronted American troops during Operation Desert Storm — artillery that had a longer range than anything comparable in the Allied memory.
>In this stunning work of investigative journalism, Bull’s Eye combines the excitement and drama of a thriller with a cast of extraordinary characters from the worlds of intelligence, government, and the arms business. This is the story of the most talented designer of artillery this century; a man betrayed, who in despair and anger fell into the world of seedy arms merchants and ambitious third world dictators.

>More than a decade before Israel's New Historians revolutionized the study of Israeli history, English journalist David Hirst wrote The Gun and the Olive Branch, a classic, myth-breaking general history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hirst, former Middle East correspondent of the Guardian, traces the origins of the terrible conflict back to the 1880s to show how Arab violence, although often cruel and fanatical, is a response to the challenge of repeated aggression. The Gun and the Olive Branch is an absorbing, potentially controversial, history of the Middle Eastern conflict that is indispensable to anyone with an interest in world politics and by partisans of both sides. This classic and controversial account of the origins of the Middle East conflict returns to print updated with a lengthy introduction that reflects on the course of recent Middle Eastern history – especially the abortive Israeli-Palestinian peace process and 9/11.

>From Barack Obama (Harvard and Chicago) to Bill and Hillary Clinton (Yale), many of our current national leaders emerged from the rarefied air of the nation's top law schools. The ideas taught there in one generation often shape national policy in the next.
>The trouble is, Walter Olson reveals in Schools for Misrule, our elite law schools keep churning out ideas that are catastrophically bad for America. From class action lawsuits that promote the right to sue anyone over anything, to court orders mandating the mass release of prison inmates; from the movement for slavery reparations, to court takeovers of school funding—all of these appalling ideas were hatched in legal academia. And the worst is yet to come. A fast-rising movement in law schools demands that sovereignty over U.S. legal disputes be handed over to international law and transnational courts.
>It is not by coincidence, Olson argues, that these bad ideas all tend to confer more power on the law schools' own graduates. In the overlawyered society that results, they are the ones who become the real rulers.

>It is one of the most extraordinary cases in the history of science: the mating calls of insects were mistaken for a “sonic weapon” that led to a major diplomatic row. Since August 2017, the world media has been absorbed in the “attack” on diplomats from the American and Canadian Embassies in Cuba. While physicians treating victims have described it as a novel and perplexing condition that involves an array of complaints including brain damage, the authors present compelling evidence that mass psychogenic illness was the cause of “Havana Syndrome.”
>This mysterious condition that has baffled experts is explored across 11-chapters which offer insights by a prominent neurologist and an expert on psychogenic illness. A lively and enthralling read, the authors explore the history of similar scares from the 18th century belief that sounds from certain musical instruments were harmful to human health, to 19th century cases of “telephone shock,” and more contemporary panics involving people living near wind turbines that have been tied to a variety of health complaints. The authors provide dozens of examples of kindred episodes of mass hysteria throughout history, in addition to psychosomatic conditions and even the role of insects in triggering outbreaks.
>Havana Syndrome: Mass Psychogenic Illness and the Real Story Behind the Embassy Mystery and Hysteria is a scientific detective story and a case study in the social construction of mass psychogenic illness.

It Wasn't About Slavery: Exposing the Great Lie of the Civil War
>If you think the Civil War was fought to end slavery, you’ve been duped.
>In fact, as distinguished military historian Samuel Mitcham argues in his provocative new book, It Wasn’t About Slavery, no political party advocated freeing the slaves in the presidential election of 1860. The Republican Party platform opposed the expansion of slavery to the western states, but it did not embrace abolition.
>The real cause of the war was a dispute over money and self-determination.
>Before the Civil War, the South financed most of the federal government—because the federal government was funded by tariffs, which were paid disproportionately by the agricultural South that imported manufactured goods.
>Yet, most federal government spending and subsidies benefited the North. The South wanted a more limited federal government and lower tariffs—the ideals of Thomas Jefferson—and when the South could not get that, it opted for independence.
>Lincoln was unprepared when the Southern states seceded, and force was the only way to bring them—and their tariff money—back. That was the real cause of the war.
>A well-documented and compelling read by a master historian, It Wasn’t About Slavery will change the way you think about Abraham Lincoln, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the cause and legacy of America’s momentous Civil War.

Slavery Was Not the Cause of the War Between the States: The Irrefutable Argument
>This book proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that the North did not go to war to free the slaves or end slavery. The North went to war because it faced economic annihilation and a Southern competitor that controlled the most demanded commodity on earth: cotton. The North's economy was based mostly on manufacturing for the South and shipping Southern cotton around the world. Cotton alone was 60% of U.S. exports in 1860. When the South seceded, the Northern economy began a dramatic collapse, and by war time, there were hundreds of thousands of hungry, unemployed Northerners in the street — and the "tocsin of war" sounded. Economically ignorant Northern leaders then passed the astronomical Morrill Tariff that threatened to destroy the Northern shipping industry by rerouting trade away from the high-tariff North and into the low-tariff South. The Morrill Tariff was like pumping gasoline into an already raging fire. Abraham Lincoln was the first sectional president in American history. He was president of the North, and the North was clamoring for war. He saw an opportunity to start it without appearing to be the aggressor, so he took it, as verified by several Northern newspapers. Thus, he started a war that killed 800,000 men and wounded a million. The idea that the good North was so outraged over slavery that they marched armies into the South to free the slaves is an absurdity of biblical proportions and this book proves it.

Old Times There Should Not Be Forgotten: Cultural Genocide in Dixie
>HISTORIAN DR. LESLIE R. TUCKER has thought long and hard about the injustice of the current jihad in America against the historic and still existing Southern people. The result is this careful, candidly unreconstructed review of the history of the South which rejects the “freeing the slaves” interpretation of the War Between the States and demonstrates forcefully that Southerners have little for which to apologise and certainly less than our fervid critics.

>The astonishing story behind Armand Hammer, hailed at the time of his death as one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time, friend of royalty and of the great statesmen of the 20th century. Carl Blumay was both his public relations consultant and Director of Public Relations at Occidental, and was the chief architect of the carefully crafted public image that Hammer played to perfection on the world stage. At his death on 10th December 1990, Armand Hammer, multimillionaire industrialist, was saluted as not only a great businessman, but also as an art collector and philanthropist, and was the recipient of countless humanitarian awards. Noted, too, were his friendships with presidents, kings, and princes, and his self-appointed role as a peacemaker with unparalleled access to the leaders of the Soviet Union. The world, it was said, would never see the likes of Armand Hammer again. This book includes startling revelations about his marriages and tormented family relationships, his shrewd and ruthless business deals, his sly maneuvers to win political favours from five American presidents, his self-serving manipulation of the media, his bribery schemes, and his many brushes with the law.

>From the ashes of the darkest event in human history, Australian Jews built a thriving community, one with proportionally more Holocaust survivors than anywhere else in the world bar Israel. Mark Leibler grew up in this community, and in time became a leader of it. This book shows how Leibler rose to a position of immense influence in Australian public life by skilfully entwining his roles as a Zionist leader and a tax lawyer to some of the country's richest people.
>The book vividly paints a cast of Australian characters – among them Paul Keating, John Howard, Julia Gillard and Noel Pearson — who came to know Leibler and to call him a friend, along with people like Kevin Rudd and Bob Carr, who see Leibler as no friend at all. Finally, the book charts the surprise turn in Leibler's life, when a social and political conservative became a committed advocate for radical reform on behalf of Australia's Indigenous people.
>This many-layered book is a portrait of Jewish life in Australia, of the interaction between private wealth and politics, and of a man whose energy, formidable work habits and forcefulness that often tips into pugnacity have made him a highly effective player in Australian affairs.
>'He taught me about power — how to get it and how to use it,' says Noel Pearson. Through one man's story, this book shows how power works in Australia.

His character was consistently rebellious in the service of a higher ideal: the defense of his race and culture against the onslaught of self-imposed ethnomasochism, forced multiculturalism and aggressive Islamization.

>Is the West today a unified or diverse culture? The orthodox position is that we should be strictly unified around the ideal of diversity. The idealistic vision is that we achieve redemption by angrily rejecting our immoral, fallen history, and lovingly embrace the sunny future of diversity. Heaven is Nature and the perfectly loving and diverse future; Hell is the disdainful and divisive past. Today, ethical and scientific facts that imply hellish disdain, and not love, are experienced as domineering or a “hegemonic discourse” and are worthy of attack: “Subvert the Dominant Paradigm!”—Walter Burkert, the eminent historian of religion said of this model, “Many thanks for the startlingly insights.”
>The nineteenth century was unified by exalting high culture and disliking nature and diversity. We today have inverted this; we are unified by disdain for high culture, and love for nature and diversity: so joyful, altruistic feelings exist between those in the group who embrace the new unity—but they direct antagonism toward outsiders. Today’s new unity, as described in Human Sin or Social Sin, inspired evolutionary psychologists to reconsider the theory of group selection for altruism.

This is more a question for the library/archive thread, not the request one.
Never the less, most state or university digitalized most of their archives by now, I think you can browse most of it with some kind of library account from all over the world.
That said, most of the historical "more controverse" stuff is not easily available. But archive.org, z-library and the libgens are generally a good start and get you more than you might think. It is also surprising, how helpful an easy Yandex search can be.
A few more obscure sources:
https://aryanalibris.com/
https://wintersonnenwende.com/scriptorium/english/archivesindex.html
..or any of the 16-,Neu-,Nein-Chan reading lists for fascists. On might add Anoncafe, but their board will be killed later in march.
Now, if you search for fiction and uncontroversial stuff in German language, this is one of the largest free libraries I've encountered so far:
http://kx5thpx2olielkihfyo4jgjqfb7zx7wxr3sd4xzt26ochei4m6f7tayd.onion/
The operators there are leftist bastards, but oh well.
How badly do you want it?
The British Libray has a delivery on demand service (see pics). Maybe they can do Nation at War, but I'd send half a dozen mails to them beforehand to make sure it's actually the right one.
Otherwise, take the original German. Since it's in frakturshrift you'll need a software (like Abbyy Finereader 15 or possibly tesseract-ocr) or online tool (like newocr.com) that can do it.
Then you plug the output into DeepL (for major euro languages it is really good) and make your own version. Then it's "just" a matter of reading the result and checking for the rare nonsensical sentences that seeped through.
(That's what I did for some German essays I just finished translating…)
Just realized the title in the pic is "Nation of war" while in the link https://www.worldcat.org/title/der-totale-krieg-the-nation-at-war-translated-by-dr-a-s-rappoport-with-a-portrait/oclc/1202896051&referer=brief_results it is "Nation at war"… The exact match (see pic) does not seem available for on demand copy…
One more reason to double check with the British Library. You don't want to end up with the file you can dl for free on archive.org!

>The Rise and Fall of the United States of America is a sweeping look at the rise of the greatest nation in the world and some of its formidable achievements. It also is an introspective analysis of the symptoms of decline and a warning about the path it is taking—allowing an influx of immigrants who are bent on challenging the laws, dismantling the culture, and conquering our country. It's time to reflect on what made this country great and heed the warning to what could be its downfall.

>The document now printed is one of the very few surviving examples of the work of the most secret of all the German intelligence agencies active in the Nazi era, the Forschungsamt (Research Office).
>Very little apart from the fact of its existence appears to have been known by Allied Intelligence agencies during the war. Its own records were in great part destroyed in January 1945 in Breslau to avoid their falling into Russian hands. The office was evacuated to Breslau after its headquarters on the Schillerstrasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg had been burnt out by British incendiaries on the night of 22 November 1943. The remaining records were destroyed at the end of April 1945 before the German capitulation. Its existence was mentioned at the trial of its erstwhile head, Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring, on war crimes chargés at Nuremberg. But it has only received the scantiest of attention by historians and memoir writers since 1945.
>Yet its intelligence reports, the so-called ‘brown pages’, Braune Blätter, covered the whole range of international and domestic political and economic intelligence. They were circulated to a wide range of German Ministries and other interested agencies. And at the height of its activity it employed well over three thousand people and enjoyed a budget of twenty-five million Reichsmarks. The job of the Forschungsamt was, in the jargon of the intelligence agencies, purely ‘passive’; to collect and record information in accordance with general and specific requests made to it by other German Government agencies. Its information came in part from monitoring public sources of information, the foreign press, radio and press services, in part from monitoring radio, wireless, and all telecommunications traffic passing in and out of German-controlled territory. It never employed any agents; and it never planted microphones. It simply listened in to all public forms of communication. A great deal of its work was the provision of economic intelligence, especially after the outbreak of war in 1939, when its information on the movement of world prices, the availability of new material supplies and so on were of considerable importance to the management of Germany’s war economy.

>The Voice of Things
https://shop.codoh.com/book/eternal-strangers-en/830/
>It is common knowledge that Jews have been disliked for centuries—sometimes loathed, sometimes hated. But why? The standard reply is that anti-Semitism is a “disease” that, for some strange reason, has afflicted non-Jews for ages. But this makes little sense. Nor can it be an “irrational” reaction. Such things must have real, physical causal factors.
>Our best hope for understanding this recurrent ‘anti-Semitism’ is to study the history: to look at the actual words written by prominent critics of the Jews, in context, and with an eye to any common patterns that might emerge. Such a study reveals strikingly consistent observations: Jews are seen as pernicious, conniving, shifty liars; they harbor a deep-seated hatred of humanity; they are at once foolish and arrogant; they are socially disruptive and rebellious; they are ruthless exploiters and parasites; they are master criminals—the list goes on.
>The persistence of such comments is remarkable and strongly suggests that the cause for such animosity resides in the Jews themselves—in their attitudes, their values, their ethnic traits and their beliefs. It is hard to come to any other conclusion than that Jews are inclined toward actions that trigger a revulsion in non-Jews. Jews have always been, and will always be, eternal strangers.
>Given this fact, we have a difficult path forward. One lesson of history is that Jews will not change; if anything, they will become better at hiding their real motives and intents. Under such conditions, many great thinkers have come to the conclusion that Jews must be separated from the rest of humanity.
>Eternal Strangers is a profoundly important book. It addresses the modern-day “Jewish problem” in all its depth—something which is arguably at the root of many of the world’s social, political and economic problems. The matter is urgent; we haven’t a moment to lose.

>Guillaume Faye's Prelude to War is a potent indictment of terminally decadent and hopelessly apathetic Europeans. Because of utter indifference and through skillful brainwashing by the corrupt elites, they seem resigned to their fate, namely subjugation under the merciless heel of Islam and flooding by the Third World, and thus eventual extinction in a sea of ravening masses. Faye not only targets the traitors and defeatists in our midst, namely the liberals and the leftists, he also mocks the cowardly attitudes of so-called 'conservatives', who are incapable of actually conserving any authentic values because they constantly make concessions to the prevailing rotten zeitgeist.
>The war for the soul and survival of Western civilisation is real, and it is right on our doorstep. Faye paints a truly apocalyptic picture of the twenty-first century as an era of massive conflicts and calamities, which will resemble the Middle Ages in terms of sheer brutality and radical regression. Verily, this is Europe's last stand - either it learns to be sufficiently ruthless, with pagans and Christians united on the offensive again, or it will sink forever into a Muslim-dominated hole of oblivion.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stalins-War-History-Second-World-ebook/dp/B08FXYWSKK/
>In this remarkable, ground-breaking new book Sean McMeekin marks a generational shift in our view of Stalin as an ally in the Second World War. Stalin's only difference from Hitler, he argues, was that he was a successful murderous predator. With Hitler dead and the Third Reich in ruins, Stalin created an immense new Communist empire. Among his holdings were Czechoslovakia and Poland, the fates of which had first set the West against the Nazis and, of course, China and North Korea, the ramifications of which we still live with today.
>Until Barbarossa wrought a public relations miracle, turning him into a plucky ally of the West, Stalin had murdered millions, subverted every norm of international behaviour, invaded as many countries as Hitler had, and taken great swathes of territory he would continue to keep. In the larger sense the global conflict grew out of not only German and Japanese aggression but Stalin's manoeuvrings, orchestrated to provoke wars of attrition between the capitalist powers in Europe and in Asia. Throughout the war Stalin chose to do only what would benefit his own regime, not even aiding in the effort against Japan until the conflict's last weeks. Above all, Stalin's War uncovers the shocking details of how the US government (to the detriment of itself and its other allies) fuelled Stalin's war machine, blindly agreeing to every Soviet demand, right down to agents supplying details of the atomic bomb.

>Men today have the ability to read and be inspired by masculine myths and stories from all of the world's religions. We can see how they evolved from one to another. Still, so many men find themselves searching for some sense of what is sacred and want to connect to something eternal, something greater than themselves. The question is: with so many choices, so many traditions, so many gods and heroes – which ones?
>In Fire in the Dark, author Jack Donovan best known for his underground classic, The Way of Men explores the common themes in these myths that are still relevant to the lives of men today. Beginning with the simple, primal metaphor of the campfire, Donovan identifies a tripartite system of masculine roles and shows how those roles have been repeated again and again throughout the history of myth and religion. It is the nature of men to create order from chaos, and when order has been created, it is the work of men to protect and perpetuate that order. These jobs have been idealized in world-ordering sky fathers and thundering warriors and fertility gods. Donovan has integrated these ideals into a natural spirituality for men that is not new, but actually draws from the very oldest ideas about what it means to be a man.

>Beyond the control of the crown, Early Tudor Cheshire was a lawless gangland in which warring magnates battled for power. None were more ruthless than Sir Piers Dutton. Friend of Henry VIII's chief minister Thomas Cromwell, trusted servant of the king, and son of one of Cheshire's most influential families, Dutton drew upon a combination of cut-throat guile, carefully cultivated connections, and pure good luck to destroy his enemies and dominate the county palatine.
>'The Ruler of Cheshire' is a story of gang warfare, rampant corruption, violent vendettas, power politics, and murder. It traces the rise of Sir Piers Dutton from wayward youth languishing in Chester jail, to trusted courtier, High Sheriff of Cheshire, scourge of the king's enemies, and figure so powerful that his rivals conceded that he could do as he wished in Cheshire and there was nothing anybody could do about it.
>The first detailed biography of an Early Tudor local magnate, Early Tudor life being much more local then now, 'The Ruler of Cheshire' makes a vital contribution to Gentry Studies as well as bringing to life one of Tudor Cheshire's most fascinating and unscrupulous characters.

>At the outset of the 1870s, the British aristocracy could rightly consider themselves the most fortunate people on earth: they held the lion's share of land, wealth, and power in the world's greatest empire. By the end of the 1930s they had lost not only a generation of sons in the First World War, but also much of their prosperity, prestige, and political significance.
>Deftly orchestrating an enormous array of documents and letters, facts, and statistics, David Cannadine shows how this shift came about–and how it was reinforced in the aftermath of the Second World War. Astonishingly learned, lucidly written, and sparkling with wit, The Decline and Fall of the British Aristocracy is a landmark study that dramatically changes our understanding of British social history.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Metaphysics-Power-Julius-Evola-ebook/dp/B08VHMZ4WD
>Metaphysics of Power is a collection of Julius Evola's powerfully argued articles organised into areas key to Evola's thought: the State, Education, Family, Liberty & Duty, Monarchy, Empire, Modern Society, and Aristocracy.
>Coursing through much of Evola's work represented here is the key notion of the four-caste system: king, warrior, merchant, and laborer; which is clearly explicated in Decline of the Idea of the State and often referred to in other articles. The theme - namely the deviation from this ancient and nearly universal tradition - is part of the bedrock of Evola's critique on why the modern state often fails.
>Various articles in this work touch on sensitive themes and demonstrate Evola's nuanced approaches to issues such as divorce, the Catholic Church's understanding of marriage, and individualism, but also handle with humor educational approaches such as the Montessori School, feminism, bureaucracy, and Europe's modern nobility.
>Most of these articles are translated here for the first time and offer the reader - in strong, erudite English matching Evola's strong, erudite Italian - a deeper dive into Evola's thoughts, philosophy, and opinions, while the tone of these articles ranges from patient and pedagogical to brutal and scathing. Metaphysics of Power represents a must-have for the seasoned disciple of Evola's philosophy, but is also a unique opportunity for the novice in traditionalist studies as it offers smaller, tighter explanations of Evola's views on key issues.

>In the first ever English-language, book-length philosophical analysis of Pentti Linkola’s controversial vision of Deep Ecology and the ideal society, Chad A. Haag attempts a rigorous analysis of Linkola’s later writings, especially those written from the early 1990s to the release of his 2004 text Voisiko elämä voittaa. Although most readers outside Finland are primarily acquainted with Linkola through the English-language abridgement Can Life Prevail?, Haag goes far beyond this territory by incorporating numerous previously inaccessible essays, interviews, and speeches in order to introduce audiences to a more holistic picture of Linkola’s monumental thought. Linkola’s thought is elucidated through contrasting him with the three great philosophical representatives of democratic modernity by opposing his ethical system with that of Kant, his political philosophy with that of Habermas, and his ontology with that of Zizek. In addition, his thus-far unacknowledged relation to classical philosophical thinkers such as Foucault, Husserl, Gadamer, Deleuze, Guattari, and Thomas Aquinas shall be explored, as well as his relation to more recent anti-technological thinkers like Ted Kaczynski, Varg Vikernes, John Michael Greer, Dmitry Orlov, Michael Ruppert, and Julius Evola. Finally, his contrast with leftist and liberal political activists such as Shaun King, Ana Kasparian, Bernie Sanders, and Andrew Yang shall provide abundant sources of humor.

>The charges of white privilege and systemic racism that are tearing the country apart fIoat free of reality. Two known facts, long since documented beyond reasonable doubt, need to be brought into the open and incorporated into the way we think about public policy: American whites, blacks, Hispanics, and Asians have different violent crime rates and different means and distributions of cognitive ability. The allegations of racism in policing, college admissions, segregation in housing, and hiring and promotions in the workplace ignore the ways in which the problems that prompt the allegations of systemic racism are driven by these two realities.
>What good can come of bringing them into the open? America’s most precious ideal is what used to be known as the American Creed: People are not to be judged by where they came from, what social class they come from, or by race, color, or creed. They must be judged as individuals. The prevailing Progressive ideology repudiates that ideal, demanding instead that the state should judge people by their race, social origins, religion, sex, and sexual orientation.
>We on the center left and center right who are the American Creed’s natural defenders have painted ourselves into a corner. We have been unwilling to say openly that different groups have significant group differences. Since we have not been willing to say that, we have been left defenseless against the claims that racism is to blame. What else could it be? We have been afraid to answer. We must. Facing Reality is a step in that direction.

Escapees from California have transformed Colorado, and they’re aiming for Texas next.
>One state after another is turning from red to purple to blue. America is being radically changes by people leaving blue states for better living conditions and opportunities in red states—only to import to their new homes the very policies that created the misery they fled from in the first place.
>The direction of the change is undeniable:
>• A 2019 poll found that 53 percent of residents are considering leaving California on account of the exorbitant cost of living
>• From 2008-2018, Houston's population surged more than 15 percent, and the top metro areas of origin for those new Texas residents were Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago
>• Migration from blue states is changing the Texas electorate: between 2010 and 2018, votes for Democrats went up 50 percent, while Republican votes increased by just 10 percent
>• Boom is turning to bust in cities like Denver, as hip blue state refugees to red states raise the cost of living by voting in liberal policies
>The liberal invasion of the conservative states is having major impacts on our elections, our economy, and our standard of living. And yet few Americans are even aware of the trend, and fewer still have any idea of the significant implications for the future of the United States.

>Who was Fay Abrahams Stender? A giant among Movement lawyers from the McCarthy Era to the 1970s intent on forcing society to change. Friends could easily picture her as the heroine of a grand opera. A child prodigy, she abandoned the concert piano to become a zealous advocate for society's most scorned and vilified criminal defendants: from the Rosenberg espionage case during the Cold War to militant black clients, Black Panther Party leader Huey Newton and revolutionary prisoner George Jackson, to prisoners in the "Dachau" of maximum security. Stender achieved amazing legal successes in criminal defense and prison reform before she ultimately refocused with similar zeal on feminist and lesbian rights.
>In May 1979, an ex-felon invaded her home and shot her execution-style after forcing her to write a note saying she betrayed George Jackson. She barely survived. Wheelchair bound and under 24-hour police protection, she then became the star witness in her assailant's prosecution. Awaiting trial in a secret hideaway in San Francisco, Fay told the few friends she let visit her there to "call me Phaedra," a tragic heroine from Greek mythology. Shortly after the trial, like Phaedra, she committed suicide.
>Set against a backdrop of sit-ins, protest marches, riots, police brutality, assassinations, death penalty trials and bitter splits among Leftists, this book makes for a compelling biography. Yet it delivers on a broader goal as well - an overview of the turbulent era in which Fay Stender operated under the watchful eye of the FBI and state officials. We not only relive Stender's story, but that of a small cadre of committed Bay Area activists who played remarkable roles during the McCarthy Era, Civil Rights Movement (including Mississippi Freedom Summer), the Free Speech Movement, Vietnam War protests, and the rise of Black Power.
>Besides revolutionaries Huey Newton and George Jackson, Fay's life intertwined with: Jessica Mitford (who dubbed Fay her "frenemy'), Bob Treuhaft, Charles Garry, Bob Richter, Stanley Moore, Tom Hayden, Jane Fonda, Stokely Carmichael, Cesar Chavez, Mario Savio, George Crockett, Joan Baez, Willie Brown, Ron Dellums, Jerry Rubin, Max Scherr, Jean Genet, Elsa Knight Thompson, Kay Boyle, Bobby Seale, David Hilliard, Angela Davis, Eldridge and Kathleen Cleaver, and Mike Tigar, among others.
>By the fall of 1970, Stender had gained international press coverage as the most sought-after Movement lawyer in America. She had just achieved spectacular successes against all odds for two black revolutionary clients. The book also describes Stender's ultimate failure to surmount class and racial differences to make her clients' cause her own and how, as in a Greek tragedy, hubris led to her downfall. Fay's tragic end served as a sobering lesson to her Movement friends of the personal risks many of them had run. For many, her death symbolized the end of an era.

>Left Behind in Rosedale is a stunning analysis of community and neighborhood decline. Through creative application of ethnographic analysis, participant observation, and in-depth interviews, Scott Cummings' unique book breathes human life into one of the most serious problems facing the nation's cities: the ghettoization of urban neighborhoods. Transcending demographic and statistical analysis, he vividly and passionately tells the story of ghettoization by explaining what happens to people's lives during the process of racial transition and change. Cummings takes the reader on a distressing historical journey, detailing the progressive decline of one community's culture. Along the way, he explains and explores the futile attempts of its white elderly residents to maintain their traditional way of life. He then moves to an examination of the black youth who victimize the elderly and explains the family and gang context of their actions. Moving full circle some fifteen years later, after the collapse of Rosedale is nearly complete, Cummings documents the similar plight facing the black elderly and details the grinding poverty that has enveloped the entire community. He concludes by evaluating the community's effort to revitalize itself and explains why these efforts failed. Cummings uses the case of Rosedale as a window to explore and critically evaluate the evolution of American urban policy over the past forty years. He concludes that many of our efforts to solve urban problems have actually made them worse. This book should be read by liberals and conservatives alike, neighborhood and community activists, politicians and reformers, urban planners of American cities, and citizens who want to know why government efforts to revitalize urban neighborhoods have accomplished so little.

>Our genes determine to a large extent who we are and why we are different from others. In this book, Hippokratis Kiaris explores how various genetic polymorphisms in different ethnic populations may affect the development of distinct cultures and eventually historical decisions. It should be read by anybody interested in history, anthropology, behavior, psychology or genetics. The reader will find clues linking together these scientific disciplines and how such genetically determined behavioral traits may play an undervalued, as yet, role in shaping historical outcomes.
>The book initially describes some basic concepts on genetics and proceeds with an outline of human evolution, the journey of early humans Out-of-Africa, and the colonization of Earth by different human populations that eventually resulted in the development of different cultures. Then, by focusing on the two major prototype cultural lines, the Eastern and the Western, the author discusses differences in the corresponding civilizations in view of specific genetic polymorphisms that affect behavior and differ in frequencies between people of Asian and European origin. Finally, in view of the contemporary increasing tendency for cultural globalization, the book attempts to predict future trends on cultures and behavioral patterns. In this revised and extended second edition new data are included and new chapters, focusing on how sets of genes, as opposed to individual ones, coexist in different populations and may potentially impact cultural divergence throughout history.

>An authoritative study of pre-colonial Australia that dismantles and reframes popular narratives of First Nations land management and food production.
>Australians’ understanding of Aboriginal society prior to the British invasion from 1788 has been transformed since the publication of Bruce Pascoe’s Dark Emu in 2014. It argued that classical Aboriginal society was more sophisticated than Australians had been led to believe because it resembled more closely the farming communities of Europe.
>In Farmers or Hunter-gatherers? Peter Sutton and Keryn Walshe ask why Australians have been so receptive to the notion that farming represents an advance from hunting and gathering. Drawing on the knowledge of Aboriginal elders, previously not included within this discussion, and decades of anthropological scholarship, Sutton and Walshe provide extensive evidence to support their argument that classical Aboriginal society was a hunter-gatherer society and as sophisticated as the traditional European farming methods.
>Farmers or Hunter-gatherers? asks Australians to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal society and culture.

>Andrew Durnford (born 1800, New Orleans; died 1859, St. Rosalie Plantation), Free Man of Color, was born of an English father and a free woman of color. The Louisiana Purchase made him a citizen of the United States. Thomas Durnford, his father, and John McDonogh, a prosperous merchant of New Orleans and Baltimore, were friends and business associates. On Thomas's death Andrew continued the friendship and association (McDonogh was the godfather of Andrew's first son, Thomas McDonogh Durnford). Draw-Ing on McDonogh for credit, Durnford purchased land south of New Orleans In Plaquemines Parish and, with a small cadre of slaves, established a sugar plantation. David O. Whitten's biography of Durnford draws on extensive primary materials, including letters between the principals, that bespeak not only an active correspondence but two extraordinary careers.Reinforced with newspaper accounts and court records, the Durnford-McDonogh letters offer an intimate view into the life and work of an antebellum planter and depict the social intercourse of a black man in a society built on black slavery. Facile in English and French, Durnford read widely and commented in letters on works of the day. He journeyed to distant Pennsylvania and Virginia in 1835 to procure slaves and then return with them to his Louisiana plantation. Letters between Durnford and McDonogh during the lengthy trip provide a unique travelogue - a black man, in the company of his black bondsmen, traversing the heart of slave country.Had Durnford done no more than build a sugar plantation out of the wilderness with black slave labor, his accounts would be valuable, but he also practiced medicine, recounting his experiences in a journal and in letters to McDonogh. The Durnford volume offers singular accounts of American life and labor in the first half of the nineteenth century. Had he been white, the narrative would be of inestimable value, but because Durnford was black, free, and a medical practitioner, his life stands as a rare example of a man and a culture adjusting to peculiar social orders.Noted historian John Hope Franklin sums up this contribution to African American studies: "David Whitten has performed an important service in bringing the life of Andrew Durnford to the attention of students of the antebellum South, of the plantation economy, and of race relations - He has placed us all in his debt and he has set an example for others to follow."

>The archetype of the "witch" is burnt deep into the European psyche, recurring again and again in folklore and fairytales. But is she merely the stuff of fantasy? Roald Dahl warned that witches don't always don black hats and ride on broom sticks. They "dress in ordinary clothes, and look very much like ordinary women. . . . That is why they are so hard to catch."
>In Witches, Feminism and the Fall of the West, Edward Dutton examines the history of witches and witch-hunting in light of evolutionary psychology. Throughout the centuries, witches were ostracized across Europe and often condemned and executed for sorcery and harming children. They generally adhered to a type: witches were low-status, anti-social, and childless, and their very presence was viewed as poisonous to the community. Dutton demonstrates that witches did, in their way, represent a maladaptive mentality and behavior, which undermined Europe's patriarchal system. When times got tough-that is, when Europe got poorer or colder-the witches were persecuted with a vengeance.
>Today, the evolutionary situation has been turned on its head. The intense selection pressures of the past have been overcome by the Industrial Revolution and its technological marvels. Modern witches survive and thrive in the postmodern West, still possessed by the motivations and dispositions of their sisters of yore. "Sorcery" (nihilism and self-hatred) is no longer taboo but has become a high-status ideology. Roald Dahl was all-too correct. Witches do exist, and they mean to do us harm.

>The men who founded these great civilizations are long gone, but their blood still lives within us. We are called to conquer. Our age, like every other age, is a war of all against all for the domination of space.”
>Throughout the 19th and through the early 20th centuries, the European Great Powers established direct control over the majority of the planet, and suzerainty over the rest. Despite the crumbling of those empires under the hammer blows of two world wars and the machinations of the United States and the Soviet Union, the feats by which they were established and the titanic efforts of the brave few that fought to preserve them still reverberate in history. Brave warriors conquered foreign lands, planted their flags, and tried to grow new cultures that mirrored their own.
>Sinclair Jenkins – writer, thinker, and dissident – lays out a resolute defense of, and advocacy for, that force of will which made the age of European Imperialism possible. From the conquering of the American West, to the bloody Rif War, to the heroic defenses of Katanga and Rhodesia, Empire Eternal: In Defense of Imperialism is a tour de force of the various chapters of European Imperialism.
>It is said that men did not love Rome because it is great – Rome was great because men loved her. These pages make it clear that likewise the European empires were not great because of some kind of overwhelming material superiority, but because of the eternal flame that pushed men to sacrifice for them – a flame that can never be extinguished.

https://archive.org/details/redneckmanifesto00goad
>Culture maverick Jim Goad presents a thoroughly reasoned, darkly funny, and rampagingly angry defense of America's most maligned social group – the cultural clan variously referred to as rednecks, hillbillies, white trash, crackers, and trailer trash. As The Redneck Manifesto boldly points out and brilliantly demonstrates, America's dirty little secret isn't racism but classism. While pouncing incessantly on racial themes, most major media are silent about America's widening class rifts, a problem that negatively affects more people of all colors than does racism. With an unmatched ability for rubbing salt in cultural wounds, Jim Goad deftly dismantles most popular American notions about race and culture and takes a sledgehammer to our delicate glass-blown popular conceptions of government, religion, media, and history.
