I think Trump trashed Lewis like he trashed Cummings over the condition of his districts.

Lewis didn't go to the inauguration, to start with, so POTUS lit him up any chance he could.

Lewis got butt-hurt and always responded with the "respect an injured civil-rights marcher" bullshit.

Good on POTUS for holding his line from my POV.

This will be of little surprise to most of you, but Google drastically alters search results to fit the current narrative. There are countless examples of Google doing this, and this post is not the first one on r/conspiracy highlighting this. I just want to show you one example that I found kind of interesting.

MADISON, WIS. — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers on Thursday issued a statewide mask mandate amid a spike in coronavirus cases, setting up a conflict with Republican legislative leaders who oppose such a requirement and successfully sued to kill the governor’s “safer at home” order.

Evers, a Democrat, declared a new public health emergency and ordered the wearing of masks for anyone age 5 and up starting on Saturday for all enclosed spaces except a person’s home. The new order also applies to outdoor bars and restaurants, except when people are eating or drinking.

Anyone who violates the order would be subject to a $200 fine. It is scheduled to run until Sept. 28.

“This virus doesn’t care about any town, city, or county boundary, and we need a statewide approach to get Wisconsin back on track,” Evers said in a statement, citing the recent rise in cases across the state. “We’ve said all along that we’re going to let science and public health experts be our guide in responding to this pandemic, and we know that masks and face coverings will save lives.”

The conservative-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court in May tossed out an order from Evers’ health secretary closing most nonessential businesses in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus.

Evers has repeatedly cited that ruling as a reason for his reluctance to join 32 other states that have mask mandates. However, the May ruling determined that the state health secretary overstepped her authority with the “safer at home” order; the court did not address the governor’s power to issue public health emergencies.

The state’s high court was controlled 5-2 by conservatives when it struck down the earlier order on a split 4-3 decision. But on Saturday, when the mask order takes effect, Justice-elect Jill Karofsky will join the court, narrowing the conservative majority to 4-3 and increasing the odds of the order surviving a legal challenge.

Republican legislative leaders brought the earlier lawsuit. While they oppose a mask mandate, they have stopped short of saying whether they would sue if Evers enacted one.

Evers said that although “emotions are high when it comes to wearing face coverings in public,” he issued the order because he believed it was in the best interests of the people.

Absent a statewide mask order, cities and counties across the state have been taking action on their own. Milwaukee and Dane counties, with Wisconsin’s largest cities of Milwaukee and Madison, were the first to make masks mandatory. Numerous other cities, including Green Bay, Racine, Superior and Whitewater, have followed suit. Appleton this week recommended that people wear masks, but did not require it.

Evers’ order doesn’t preempt local governments from enacting even stricter ordinances.

Evers had been under pressure from local governments, and even some Democrats, to issue a statewide order. Democratic state Sen. Chris Larson, of Milwaukee, started a petition for a statewide mandate.

Wisconsin has had more than 51,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 911 deaths from the disease since the pandemic started. That death count is the 28th-highest in the country and the 35th highest per capita, at nearly 16 deaths per 100,000 people. Over the past two weeks, the rolling average number of daily new cases has gone up by 90, an increase of more than 11%.

The virus, although still heavily concentrated in urban areas, is spreading to more rural counties that had largely avoided the disease.

Air Force Special Operations Approves First Beard, Turban Waiver for Sikh Airman

In a first for the command, Air Force Special Operations Command has granted a religious accommodation waiver to a Sikh airman.

Senior Airman Dominic Varriale was granted the waiver last month, according to an Air Force release. He serves as a geospatial intelligence analyst with the 11th Special Operations Intelligence Squadron.

With the help of his command leadership and the Sikh American Veterans Alliance (SAVA), an advocacy organization, Varriale was able to expedite the approval process, which normally takes up to three years, to only three months, the release states.

"[The SAVA] sent me Air Force Instruction-approved religious articles of faith such as my operational camouflage pattern-colored turban," said Varriale, of Long Branch, New Jersey. "They also made it possible for me to speak to a Gurdwara [a Sikh place of assembly or worship] back in my hometown to get a proper letter of sincerity from a Sikh Temple."

Lt. Col. Brian Lightsey, commander of the 11th SOIS, said Varriale welcomed the news when he found out about the approval June 7.

"His reaction was immediate: It was part relief, part a sense of pride, but most importantly, it was evident to everyone in the room that it meant a great deal to him," Lightsey said. "Senior Airman Varriale was always a capable analyst beforehand, but I sincerely believe the practicing of his faith has provided the extra motivation to hone his craft as a mission analyst and to improve as an airman."

Varriale thanked his command for its support. "My command has been extremely supportive every step of the way," he said in the release. "For a long time, the military had a more 'mind your business' attitude. With recent [diversity-focused] changes, there is a much larger interest in my religion and people are not afraid to ask and learn more."

In February, the Air Force updated its dress and appearance policy, creating a comprehensive process for airmen to request waivers for religious apparel such as hijabs and turbans or facial hair worn for religious reasons. The policy update requires that airmen keep their appearance "neat and conservative."

The Pentagon first released a policy in 2014 outlining how religious service members might apply for a waiver to wear otherwise-prohibited items such as a turban, headscarf or beard as a way of expressing "sincerely held beliefs." The policy states that such accommodations will be granted on a case-by-case basis and can be denied if the request is seen to interfere with wearing a uniform or helmet, or pose a health or safety hazard.

The period running from April to June this year marks the first quarter in nine years that a company other than South Korean giant Samsung or US iPhone marker Apple has led the market. Despite being excluded from the UK's 5G roll out and banned from trading with US companies, the results reveal Huawei's global smartphones sales are still healthy.

The result is largely dependent on the coronavirus pandemic, which has stunted Samsung's sales in some of its key markets.

'This is a remarkable result that few people would have predicted a year ago – if it wasn’t for Covid-19, it wouldn’t have happened,' said Canalys senior analyst Ben Stanton.

'Huawei has taken full advantage of the Chinese economic recovery to reignite its smartphone business.

Huawei shipments of 55.8 million in Q2 is down 5 per cent year-on-year.

But second-placed Samsung shipped 53.7 million smartphones, a 30 per cent fall against Q2 2019.

Huawei already had the biggest market share in China, while in comparison, less than 1 per cent of Samsung's market share is in the country.

Samsung has also seen its core markets, such as Brazil, India, the US and Europe, 'ravaged by outbreaks' of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdowns, which closed physical phone stores and kick started an economic slowdown.

Huawei now sells 72 per cent of its smartphones in mainland China, compared with 61 per cent for the January to March quarter this year.

'Our business has demonstrated exceptional resilience in these difficult times,' a Huawei spokesman said.

A local CBS affiliate in Augusta, Ga., decided to test out how voting by mail works.

“We’re less than 100 days until the November election, and many Americans are expecting to vote by mail for the first time because of the pandemic,” WRDW-TV wrote.

One thing is clear: You need to give it even more time than officials might recommend to get your ballot through the mail system.

How long might it take for that vote to actually arrive and be counted?

CBS News decided to test it, sending 100 mock ballots simulating a hundred voters in locations all across Philadelphia to a post office box. After some delays, 97 arrived. In a close election, 3% could be pivotal, especially in what’s expected to be a record year for mail-in-voting.

What’s more, there would be no way for someone to know if their ballot made it or went missing en route.

It’s not the first time voting by mail has faced scrutiny. Earlier this month, the Associated Press reported this:

More than 100,000 mail-in ballots were rejected by California election officials during the March presidential primary, according to data obtained by The Associated Press that highlights a glaring gap in the state’s effort to ensure every vote is counted.

And as a citizen of the United States of America, that is my right to make that decision without having to disclose that to somebody else,” said Elizabeth. “So, no, I wouldn’t wear a mask. I would do everything that I could to make sure that I wouldn’t come in contact with other people because of the fear that’s spreading with this. But no, I would have just stayed home, take care of my child.”

Instead of signing the blanket statement, Elizabeth submitted her own written declaration:

I will do my best to stay home, as I do every other time I get sick. But I cannot comply to having to call the public health department everytime that I need to go out and do something. It’s my right and freedoms to go where I please and not have to answer to anyone for it. There is no pandemic and with a survival rate of 99.9998% I’m fine. I will continue to avoid the elderly, just like PRIOR guidelines state, try to stay home, get rest, get medicine, and get better. I decline.

A few days after being informed that Elizabeth’s case was being escalated and referred to law enforcement, the Linscotts reportedly found their home surrounded by multiple government vehicles, government personnel and the county sheriff armed with a court order and ankle monitors.

New Reports Suggest Libyan Warlord Khalifa Haftar is Working with Mossad

Reports of Israeli support for the Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar are nothing new, but as the apartheid state gains ground among Arab nations, the need to hide Mossad’s role in the destabilizing of oil-rich Libya may be disappearing.

The stench of the CIA and its covert operations in oil-rich Libya has long followed General Khalifa Haftar. But now another intelligence organization is being tied to the controversial military officer as accusations of extensive dealings with the Mossad are being levied against him by an Israeli journalist, who claims that Haftar met with members of the Israeli outfit in Cairo from 2017 to 2019.

It is not the first time Haftar has been linked to the apartheid state. The latest claims of Haftar’s Israeli links also involve the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is said to have mediated the meetings between the commander of the Libyan National Army and two Israeli assets named by the anonymous source as Ackerman and Mizrachi. The source, in fact, dates Haftar’s connections to the Jewish state as far back as 2011 when the Israeli Air Force ostensibly coordinated with the Libyan strongman to target jihadist groups who had flooded the country in the wake of Gaddafi’s U.S.-sponsored murder.

Adding to the intrigue are parallel claims that Iran – Israel’s sworn enemy in the region – has also been providing Haftar with military aid in his campaign to topple the UN-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli, running counter to official reports coming out of Iran declaring its support for the GNA. These accusations are coming from none other than the Israeli envoy to the UN, who accused Tehran of supplying advanced weapons systems to Haftar, calling it a “grave violation of Security Council resolution 2231 (2015),” which attempts to halt the “supply, sale or transfer of arms” from Iran.

Children quickly learn not to touch a hot stove, or suffer a burn. If new words were substituted, would touching the burner suddenly become safe for believers? Obviously not. Unpopular truths are facts disliked to the point of rejection. But disliking a fact does not make it any less true. Rejecting facts is a characteristic of mental illness. Liberal ideologues want to prohibit consideration of objective truths that do not fit their agenda. “Unpopular truths” are on the chopping block, to be replaced by new “politically correct” expressions.

The mainstream media parrot their globalist masters' script, while universities and businesses pander to the same ideology. They hope incessant repetition will gain acceptance for the lies, and unpopular truths will be forgotten. We are told that “men” can have menstrual periods and bear children. That censorship of conservatives by Big Tech isn't censorship, if it serves the interest of globalists. That cross-dressing or surgery changes a person's sex. That burning down a federal courthouse is a peaceful demonstration. That corrupt and demented senior Joe Biden could run the country. That Islam is a religion of peace. That victimhood is a noble and desirable condition. And many believe.

Schools, libraries, and other publicly-funded institutions boost the new dogmas. Grotesque transvestites are presented as role models. Abhorrent sexual practices that our grandparents could never have imagined are introduced to first-graders by mandated “diversity” curricula. How can we teach our children right from wrong, when the TV mocks us for explaining that burning down public buildings and rioting are not good ways to solve problems? Should parents yield control over raising our children to cultural Marxists?

One of the most powerful neologisms is “hate speech”. This category is used to terrorize people into self-censorship. Once an idea is branded “hate speech”, those who speak it can be demonized and even prosecuted under unconstitutional laws. But “hate speech” is merely speech that others hate. Our First Amendment protects all speech: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” The only exceptions are inciting acts of violence or endangering the masses with one's words.

What is at stake is only our free will, national independence, and right to personal uniqueness. We must not be coerced by “politically-correct” language bullies. We need to embrace the truth. While crying “diversity”, the globalists promote conformity. The trend to homogeneity of thought and language flouts everything that past generations of Americans fought to preserve. A free society is one in which vigorous debate flourishes, not the monoculture of ideas that the Left would compel under the insincere banner of “diversity”.

A splinter minority hopes to overrule the silent majority. And if we remain silent, they might. It is time to become vocal. Our Constitution empowers us with freedom of speech. We need to reject the lies and insist on the truth, in our private interactions and in all public discourse. We need to be loud. We need to overcome our reticence, and speak out. Organization tied to CJNG cartel smuggled and distributed meth and heroin

SEATTLE — Fifteen people were arrested today throughout the Puget Sound region and in California following an 18-month investigation of a drug-trafficking organization tied to the CJNG cartel in Mexico, announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) acting Special Agent in Charge in Seattle Eben Roberts and U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran. The defendants arrested today made their initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Seattle.

“The results of this operation are a clear example of what can be achieved through HSI’s partnership with state, local and federal law enforcement agencies,” said acting Special Agent in Charge Roberts. “I commend all of the agents, officers and analysts involved in this operation. Their dedication resulted in the removal of massive amounts of narcotics from our community, the disruption of an extremely dangerous supply chain and undoubtedly saved numerous lives.”

“This cartel is known as a violent and prolific drug trafficking group. I commend the DEA-led task force for taking a bite out of its drug distribution and money laundering networks,” said U.S. Attorney Brian Moran.“Over the course of this investigation law enforcement seized more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine and 10 pounds of heroin, and agents and officers continued their work despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“The South Sound Streets are safer today with the removal of this violent criminal ring that pushed heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl into our communities,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Keith Weis. “Without question, the critical partnership between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies made today’s effort possible and ultimately benefits the public’s safety.”

The indictment charges conspiracy, possession, attempted possession and distribution of methamphetamine and heroin, as well as a money laundering conspiracy. These are the 19 defendants named in the grand jury indictment:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) funneled an additional $606,000 to her husband's firm in the first three weeks of July alone, according to new campaign filings.

Federal Election Commission records released Thursday show that over the first three weeks of July, Omar's campaign sent $606,000 to the E Street Group, a D.C.-based consulting firm run by Tim Mynett, Omar's husband. The money accounted for 77 percent of the campaign's disbursements during that time.

Omar has sent massive sums to her husband's firm even as her Democratic opponent, Antone Melton-Meaux, significantly outraised her ahead of the primary. The challenger drew national attention with a $3.2 million fundraising haul over the past quarter, six times the amount Omar's campaign pulled in over the same period despite paying Mynett's firm large sums for fundraising assistance. Melton-Meaux is also drastically outraising the incumbent in Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District, signaling he may pose a challenge to the "Squad" member in the August 11 primary.

Mynett's firm is Omar's biggest campaign vendor. The campaign had already doled out $1 million to the firm this cycle before July. The $1.6 million in total payments accounts for nearly half of Omar's $3.4 million in net operating expenditures this cycle.

Omar's new campaign filings also show that the congresswoman raised $407,000 over the first three weeks of July, nearly equal to the $471,000 she pulled in over the previous three months. Omar now has $732,000 in cash on hand. Melton-Meaux, meanwhile, finished the last quarter with $2 million at his disposal. His campaign's pre-primary report was not submitted at the time of this writing.

Omar's campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the payments.

Tallahassee man sentenced to 25 years for sex trafficking of minor

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – A Tallahassee man was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison July 23, 2020, after his conviction on sex trafficking charges. Lawrence Keefe, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced that Dishay Henderson, 36, was sentenced last week following a January jury verdict finding him guilty of enticement of a minor to engage in prostitution and two counts of sex trafficking of a minor.

“Sex trafficking of minors has absolutely no place in our society,” said U.S. Attorney Keefe. “It is a shameful, despicable practice, and the United States Attorney’s Office is committed to working closely with our federal, state, and local partners to pursue justice on behalf of the victims of this heinous crime.”

Henderson used his Tallahassee residence in early 2018 as a location for commercial sex trafficking and drug activity. He specifically harbored and solicited a 16-year-old girl, prostituting her to others for personal and financial gain. At times, his methods were violent and aggressive. In announcing the sentence, Chief United States District Judge Mark E. Walker noted that the sentence was, in part, aimed to deter others from “preying on the most vulnerable among us.”

Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Spaven prosecuted the case, which was jointly investigated by the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

“I continue to be amazed by the outstanding work of TPD’s Special Victims Unit, specifically Investigator Beth Bascom. Once again, her tireless dedication to defend some of our most vulnerable citizens has resulted in a predator being taken off the streets. We appreciate the support and cooperation of HSI and our partner agencies,” TPD Chief Lawrence Revell said.
